8th Elmira Street Painting Festival
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue... oh my! It s a colorful weekend in downtown Elmira. The 8th
Elmira Street Painting Festival was brighter and busier than ever. I had no expectations so it exceeded
them, said Kathy Erway of Elmira. In it s 8th year, the Elmira Street Painting Festival is more popular
than ever. The annual event showcases local artists, but over the years it s attracted painters, drawers,
and creators from all over the country. I love the fact that everybody is friendly, outgoing and it s
pleasantly local in the sense that you can just kick back and do some nice art, said Anthony Cappetto
of New York City. He s travelled the world and made a career out of the art of street painting.

Comparison Of Diet And Soda Reaction
Mentos and soda reaction has been a fun experiment done by people across the world.
Yes, it is a easy project you can do. You can do it by yourself or with friends but, do you know the
science behind it? Do you know if it is a physical reaction or chemical reaction? The reaction of soda
and Mentos causes a fun explosive outcome but, why? When you drop the the Mentos in the diet soda
it causes carbon dioxide bubbles to form really fast. Then the bubbles form until it forms a geyser. Not
only the bubbles form the sticky and foamy reaction. The ingredients from the Mentos mixed with the
sugar from the diet soda causes the soda too have a lower surface tension. It is hard for bubbles to
form at a high surface tension ( Why Do Diet Coke ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Mental Floss, this is their explanation of why diet soda works better. Diet sodas produce
a bigger reaction than non diet sodas because aspartame lowers the surface tension of the liquid much
more than sugar or corn syrup will. You can also increase the effect by adding more surfactants to the
soda when you add the Mentos, like adding a mixture of dishwasher soap and water ( Why Do Diet
Coke and Mentos React? Mental Floss). Why is it a Physical reaction? It is a Physical reaction
because of Nucleation. What causes the reaction of soda and Mentos slow or stops the reaction? To
slow down the experiment a person would have to make sure that the carbon dioxide must escape
from the soda. If that person does not have carbon dioxide in the soda the Mentos will not react to
cause a fun and exciting Physical reaction( education.com. Mentos and Diet Coke Experiment |
Science Project ). What is Nucleation? Nucleation is a form of crystallization.( The Editors of
Encyclopædia Britannica. Nucleation ). In conclusion the soda and Mentos reaction is fun, easy, and
cheap. It is a physical reaction and it is because of nucleation. Remember when doing the experiment
think about what is occurring during the

Difference Between Good And Evil In The Lion King
Good and Evil are two things that we all have to face each day. We all see things that one may
consider good and other evil. Good and evil can be seen as many things. For example, we have
selfishness and kindness. Those are two meanings of the word evil and good. It is all about morals,
having different morals, as in life, paths the way to what road you will travel down, good or evil. The
movie The Lion King showed us many examples of good and evil. Scar is obviously a choice when it
comes to who was evil. You have your considered good characters in the film. You also had characters
who looked at Scar as good, the hyenas. The movie shows how different individuals have different
morals when it comes to good and evil.
The difference between good and evil varies from people. To some you might have to do big great
things in order to be good as a person. For some people you do not have to do anything at all and still
considered good. It is all about morals, which everyone grows up with different morals. Evil might be
looked at as someone that hurts people every day just because they know they can. His or her sole
purpose is to make sure that everyone feels down when around them. Fascinatingly people can also be
evil by sitting back and doing nothing. For example, if someone is in a fight with more than one
person, and losing, some people will do nothing. This brings me back to morals. One may think that
just by sitting and doing nothing, you are a good person because you

The Performance Of The Symphony
I have never had the chance to sit and watch a symphony before. I have heard them in plays and other
performances, but they have never been the main production in something I have seen. It was very
interesting to see the structure behind the sound. The amount of people and different instruments all
together making a cohesive piece of music was absolutely incredible. There appeared to be well over
50 musicians working together to produce different sounds that fit together so tenaciously. Among the
instruments involved in the orchestra, I noticed cellos, flutes, clarinets, cymbals, tambourines,
trumpets, violins, trombones, tubas, french horns, and even a few instruments that I could not
recognize. The diversity in the instruments created a strong yet effortless feeling in the listener. The
music flowed so well that it seemed simple and easy, yet when I looked into the orchestra and saw
how many components go into the composition, it is clear that it is quite intricate. The symphony was
set in a beautiful concert venue, the Boston Symphony Hall. The high ceilings were dripping with
elaborate chandeliers, creating beautiful lighting for the on stage performers. The chairs of the
instrumentalists were turned in a way so that all the performers could be viewed by the audience, and
the conductors back was turned so he could face his orchestra. The walls on both sides were lined with
two levels of seats, and four rows of seats were organized in front of the stage. Four windows

Importance of the Friars in Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure
In the plays Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure, the friars are important instruments
in their respective storyline because of their assumed pure intentions of using deception as a means to
right the wrong doing within the play. They have the authority to administer questionable plans of
action because they are respected and trusted. The friars hear all of the confessions; therefore, they
could know even the deepest of secrets. The friars, or Fathers take on a protective role, a paternal one.
They seem to relate more with the youth, or the wronged, who become like children needing guidance
in their vulnerable states. When the parents, or as in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a most God like manner, Friar Francis is concocting a sketchy plan to bring together two lovers
who, otherwise, were denied their rights by the treachery of Don Juan.
Measure for Measure follows the same theme with a twist because in this instance Friar Lodowick is
really the Duke, Vincentio. His role in this play is a little problematic because he is not really a
clergyman, but he seems to try to set things right. As the friar, he convinces the Provost (4.2) to
deceive Angelo and not hang Claudio, but to send him the head of another prisoner. By using his
religious authority to control Angelo he said, By the vow of mine order, I warrant you, if my
instructions may be your guide, let this Barnardine be this morning executed, and his head borne to
Angelo (4.2.156 58). Another death will convince the deceived ploy concocted by a friar, the holy
man.
Another form of deceit in this play is Isabella and Mariana s deception of Angelo, as planned by the
Friar. The Duke has them think that this is the best way to save Claudio and to reestablish Mariana s
engagement contract with Angelo, which he never honored, With Angelo tonight shall lie/ His old
betrothed but despised. / So disguise shall, by th disguised, / Pay with falsehood false exacting, / And
perform an old contracting (3.1.498 502). It is even stated that Mariana would only go

Ragtime Music Research Paper
In the late nineteenth century, African American musicians introduced this syncopated, up tempo
music with a steady beat to small, unpopular venues; this style of piano music was called ragtime
because of the how ragged their arrangements were. Ragtime was like marches and it has a European
harmony with African rhythm. This style of music became known as it was used for actors to do their
cakewalk, which is a high stepping dance, at the end of the minstrel shows. An African American,
Scott Joplin was named the King of Ragtime . After World War I, ragtime music was overshadowed
by the Tin Pan Alley, which was a street of publishing house with pianos playing simultaneously
(Ferris, 2014). Though, ragtime was pushed out by Tin Pan Alley,

Rabbit and Wolves Lab Essay
Rabbits and wolves
Introduction
The computer simulation named Rabbits and wolves is about models and simple systems. In the
simulation, there are three main organisms, rabbits, wolves and grass all put together in a forest
ecosystem. An ecosystem is a set of organism within a defined area or volume that interact with one
another and with their environment (Miller amp; Spoolman). A system is a collection of elements or
components that are organized for a common purpose (Rouse, 2005).
The purpose of this simulation is to see how these three organisms will interact with one another in the
same environment. We will see how the populations of these organisms change by modifying
parameters specific to each organism and how changing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

parameters The default parameters are running but the size of the forest changed from medium to
small. The simulation runs for 221 iterations.
Discussion My first objective was to view and interact with simple computer model. I was able to
represent in terms of parameters the variables, watch on the simulation and examine the results. My
second objective was to determine how simple changes in populations of one organism would affect
the populations of organisms in the same system. I ve changed parameters of each one of the variables

Alka Seltzer Plus Liquid Gels are claimed, in the commercial, to be powerful relief without artificial
dyes or preservatives for cold and flu symptoms. These symptoms are very broad terms that
encompass a range of many different ailments including, but not limited to: cough, sore throat, fever,
aches and pains, headaches, and nasal congestion. Fever is typically associated more with flu like
symptoms, rather than just the common cold, but a fever can occur in the common cold (Bayer

Georges Seurat s Young Woman Powdering Herself
At the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston I choose Georges Seurat s painting, Young Woman Powdering
Herself . Seurat s painting portrays Seurat s mistress who Georges kept a secrete relationship with for
about 3 years. Georges Seurat carries out Young Woman Powdering Herself during the 19th century.
Majority of Georges Seurat s work is considered to have a French/ Impressionist style. The medium
and technique used for Young Woman Powdering Herself is an oil on canvas. By using oil paints on
his work, Seurat is able to make the colors as well as the vivid colors on his work standout, which
ultimately reinforces the subject.
There were no evident clues in which showed why Georges Seurat painted Young Woman Powdering
Herself. However, one can infer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two elements Seurat s uses in his work are light and pointillism. The use of theses two elements
help brings femininity and beauty to his painting. Georges is known for bringing out light in how it
appears in nature in his work. Through the of the medium of pointillism, Seurat is able to create a
bigger picture in his work. Seurat use of the element light helps show hoe light bounce around. For
instance, the way the light travels through the open window and bounces off of the young woman s
skin shows the light that is being presented. Through this, Seurat reveals the light in places where the
light hits first.
Through Georges Seurat s use of numerous shades of color such as tint, value, warms colors, and cool
colors he is able to create a certain mood/feeling. His use of tint in multiple areas helps bring depth to
the painting. The use of value of the colors is used to portray the lightness and darkness in the
painting. The usage of warm colors in the painting, which is primarily around the woman in the center
create a mood of warmth toward her. Lastly, the use of cool colors in the background aid in allowing
the viewer to focus more on the woman and the

Egypt Burial Process
When I was 9, I was very interested in early civilizations and their various cultures. Among the many
beautiful heritages I read about, Egypt was one of my favorite. From the many gods to worship to the
architecture to the language to the infamous curses to the extravagant burial, I was completely hooked.
This specific mask however, stood out amongst the rest. I remember spending days and days thinking
of the cursed tomb and of the teen boy found at that site. I remember wondering how a 9 year old,
could rule a whole country. I had wanted to become a archaeologist because of this specific story
surrounding the mask. I was enthralled by the egyptians detailed belief of the afterlife and especially
their burial process. This mask is a big part

Linear and Nonlinear Optical Susceptibilities and Hyperpolarizability of Borate LiNaB4O7 Single

Ali Hussain Reshak, Xuean Chen, S. Auluck and H. Kamarudin
Journal of Applied Physics 2012
Volume 112, Issue 5, Pages 053526 (1 11)
Since the successful demonstration of second harmonic generation by a propagation of a ruby laser
beam via a quartz crystal by Franken et al,1 borate materials have been widely studied to employ in
the potential applications such as nonlinear optics (NLO) and laser (mainly in visible and UV light)
engineering.2, 3, 4, 5 Materials with NLO properties are useful for generating new frequency laser
sources that cannot be directly produced from the common laser sources.2 Consequently, NLO
materials have enabled a wider range of frequencies produced from the available laser. Borate
materials have a few great properties, for example, short growth period, high damage threshold, large
effective nonlinear coefficient and good mechanical properties.6 This suggests that borate materials
are well fitted for the purpose of laser frequency conversion. BaB2O4, LiB3O5, CsB3O5 and
YCa4(BO3)3O are examples of well known borate based NLO crystals.2 An early review on the
comparison of the damage threshold and optical transmittance of these mentioned borate crystal
compounds have been done by Becker in which the use of the favourable anionic group and
birefringence in the borate materials are the essential features needed to produce

Compare And Contrast New England And Middle Colonies
The British colonies of New England, Middle, and Southern developed during the 17th and 18th
centuries as a result of the competitive nature of the European explorers to colonize and obtain more
land than the others. The New England colonies were built upon the objectives of religious freedom
and economic prosperity. The population was consistently increasing as child birth doubled and life
expectancy improved. They experienced long winters and short summers. The colonies were located
nearby the Atlantic Ocean, which provided the colonists with great seaports. These ports were used for
trade as well as fishing sea life such as whales and fish. Here is where they set up the Atlantic trade
network, importing and exporting goods with England, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like the other colonies, the south established trading posts. They traded tobacco, rice, sugar, slaves,
and indigo with England. The flat and coastal plains permitted a great abundance of cash crop
plantations. The terrain also comprised of swampy lands, rivers, good harbors, and bays. The climate
was humid unlike New England, which created mild winters and hot summers. The main goal of the
south was economic prosperity. This invited more men to travel from England by themselves, which
decreased the number of women. The ratio of men to women was 7:1. Unlike New England and the
Middle, the Southern colony s life expectancy was low due to outbreaks of malaria and yellow fever.
Like New England, the south was dominated by few religions. Protestants and Catholics immigrated
for religious freedom. The protestants however made up the majority of the population. Cecelius
Calvert, also known as Lord Baltimore, was granted Maryland, where the House of Delegates passed
the Act of Toleration that allowed religious freedoms to all Christians in fear of a Protestant takeover.
Unfortunately for the Catholics, the Protestants did take over and removed them from the legislature.
The south developed an elected legislature with Georgia being ruled as a royal colony and Sir William
Berkeley governing Virginia. Similarly to New England, the Native Americans were captured and

How Does Death Affect Poe s Life
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary , a quote from Edgar Allan Poe s The
Raven. Poe, while he was alive, wrote many lines similar to this in his stories, always expressing
strong and horridly bad emotions. People might wonder why he wrote so much about things like
death, alcoholism and poverty. It was once said that an author s mind affects their writing, and a prime
example of this is how poe s life affected his writing themes. The first detail of how Poe s life
influenced his writing is the element of death in his stories. Death of loved ones is painfully obvious in
Poe s poem, The Raven, in which he states sorrow, for the loss of lenore . Lenore is symbolizing Poe s
wife, Virginia. She was one of many of poe s loved ones who had died of a common ailment at the
time, Tuberculosis. This disease had claimed Poe s brother, foster mother, as well as his
wife, consequently, he gave it it s own story, The Mask Of The Red Death. In this story, all the
characters die of the fatal illness the red death (another name for TB) and darkness and decay and the
red death held illimitable dominion over all . As he had been in the shroud of death most of his life, he
wrote about wondering what happened after it in The Facts In The Case ... Show more content on

This is perhaps most clear his story The Black Cat, in which he states for disease is like alcohol Both

he can be (unfortunately) chained up and put in a wall. As alcohol had such an influence on his life,
Poe put in a small reference for why he started drinking in The Raven, the narrator in the story asking

Reviewing The Contract With Marshall
In examining the contract with Marshall there are a number of factors to consider. I would have to
examine all of the professional, legal, and spiritual implications of deciding to part ways with doing
business with his store. Marshall was an intricate part of getting the grapes initial recognition and the
impending financial success may not have been possible without his willingness to promote the grapes
in his store. Without taking the proper steps to rectify this situation in a peaceful manner, I might
experience a backlash depending on Marshall s potential decision to bring this issue before the court
of public opinion. The interest in my products might decrease depending on how he chose to spin his
story regarding our fallout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Investopedia states: An implied contract is an agreement created by actions of the parties involved, but
it is not written or spoken. This is a contract assumed to have been drawn. In this case, there is no
written record nor any actual verbal agreement. (Investopedia, 2010) Under these terms, I would have
to determine what a fair interpretation of our implied contract would be and to what extent Marshall
should be compensated under those terms. I am under no legal obligation to continue to provide goods
and services and would instead insist on using a mutually agreed upon mediator to hash out a possible
financial settlement to compensate Marshall for his promotion of the product and find out whether or
not the new company that would purchase my product would be willing to offer Marshall a set rate
with their acquisition as a part of the sale. Marshall s Legal Defense In Marshall s defense I would
have to be prepared that he could use Promissory Estoppel as a legal defense should our case be
brought before a judge. If we are unwilling to come to an agreement the judge might enact this
particular method to award damages to Marshall based of our implied contract in good faith. In the
Seattle University Law Review it states: The function of the doctrine of promissory estoppel is, under
our view, defensive in that it estops a promisor

My Experience At The Store
Hãy đến đây và giúp mẹ nói chuyện với cô, my mom would utter to me as she nods her head and
smiles nervously to the cashier at the department store. This was and is a common phrase my mother
would use. Often times, she would anxiously gesture towards me, and softly call me over to translate
for her when she is ready to check out her items at the store and converse with the cashier, who is, a
myriad of times, promoting new store offers and asking the ever present questions pertaining to the
level of satisfaction that we experienced while shopping. When I was a bit younger, in response, I
would roll my eyes and let out a quiet grunt as I drag my feet towards the center of the store, where
my mother would be already at the front of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a matter of fact, everytime my family had decided to spend a Saturday together at a mall, I found
myself antsy and displeased with my mother s requests for translation. Why can t she just speak
English? Then she would be able to talk with other people! I d think to myself. Unfortunately, I came
to understand the situation was not as simple as I had thought. Before I was born, and as they were
displeased with the impoverished conditions of Vietnam in its post war period, my parents, shortly
after their wedding, decided to emigrate to America in hopes of more opportunities. Being that they
had lived in Vietnam for the majority of their life, at the time, my parents traveled over with little to no
familiarity of the American culture or language. And as they had no close relatives or friends living in
America for the time being, they initially felt no desire to adapt to the culture and language that would
soon play such a large part in determining their role in the American society. Instead, my parents
brought over to America the Vietnamese culture, including the Vietnamese language, that they were
raised with and had grown so adapted to. While this helped them in retaining a sense of home in such
an unfamiliar country, they faced a plethora of barriers in their efforts to successfully sustain their
newly found lives. At attempts to adapt to to the foreign society, my parents decided to familiarize

Changes In Metropolitan Statistical Area
Census data from the last 2 Censuses reveal population migration patterns through changes in
Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSAs) populations. The data shows that certain metropolitan areas are
growing while others are declining. Many Southern cities and Western cities are rapidly rising in
population as economic industries settle and family friendly conditions allow innovation and
education to thrive. One strong example of this is the Raleigh Cary MSA, in North Carolina, which
has experienced rapid growth in recent decades from increased economic dominance in government
and education sector. New Orleans is an extreme exception for these regions, with the population
being greatly reduced because of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Cleveland and

Social Hierarchy Of The Vikings
social hierarchy: 1. social hierarchy the social hierarchy has 4 levels. the thralls, karls, jarls and kings.
social hierarchy is a kind of social differentiation that shows the groups of people in their societies
based upon their occupation and income, wealth and social status, or derived power. 2. Kings The
Vikings did not have a government. Instead, each village or town had its own king or chief. The kings
were the most powerful people in Viking society. Kings were not viewed as sacred, or special. Instead,
they were viewed as impressive men. A king was expected to be generous not only with food and
drink, but with clothes and weapons and gifts. He was expected to maintain his followers honor
against outsiders. He had to lead. He was required to be a strong fighter, daring, crafty, and hard, since
he fought hand to hand beside his men. He had to be a good public speaker, cheerful and inspirational
and able to inspire his men. 3. Jarls The Jarls were very wealthy people who lived and owned the best
houses. The Jarls kept many slaves and employed vikings to work for them. The Jarls had many
followers, treasure, ships, and estates. 4. Karls The karls were everyday farmers, craftsmen, sailors,
and warriors. The karls grew oats, barley and wheat. The Karls grounded the grain to make flour,
porridge and ale. Vikings grew vegetables such as onions, beans and cabbages. Their farm animals
include pigs, sheep, goats, cattle, geese and chickens. They used manure from the animals

Examples Of Mercy And Compassion
There are so many ways on how to practice mercy and compassion. There are three simple steps given
to us by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit here in the Philippines on how to become ministers of
mercy and compassion. First is to rest with God. Second is to renew one s self. Third is to love others.
Pope Francis tells us that To be an ambassador for Christ means to invite everyone to a renewed
personal encounter with Christ. (Evangelii Gaudium). A renewed personal encounter with Christ is
witnessed when we rest with God. Rest is very crucial to everyone s life. But some people seldom
have time to rest due to hectic schedules and for some students are overflowing homeworks. Rest is
very important that even God rested during the 7th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also there are people that we love so much but doesn t return our love back. Real love is about
loving God, and letting Him love us back. Another way of practicing mercy and compassion is to love
others. Loving others unlike the renewal of one s self focuses on giving love to other people. Loving
others is bringing Jesus to others. Loving others is not just about giving them what they need, it s
about teaching them how to provide for themselves. Let us practice mercy and compassion by resting
with God, renewing ourselves, and loving others. During the season of lent we reflect on the passion,
death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lent is a source of mercy and compassion in a way
that we practice fasting and abstinence and as much as possible drink water. Water has a chemical
formula of H2O which means, H for Honesty, H for Humility, for being humble enough to admit your
mistakes, and O for Obedience, for obeying the people in authority like our parents. These 3 are the
sources of mercy and compassion. That s why we should be honest, humble and obedient. Always
drink H20 on the season of Lent. The author spent his holy week in the Philippines.

treating this as a true initiation and Taran loved her for it. I promise. And do you accept these men to
be your warrior brothers, and to serve and protect the king and kingdom as best you re able? Slowly,

freely and willingly, he was uncomfortable with cutting her. But what was he to do, refuse? He
swallowed and made a small cut, but it was too shallow, so it did not bleed. Taran cursed under his
breath and Veerah chuckled. Sire, it ll all right. She looked at him with reassurance in her eyes, so
Taran focused, made a short, clean swipe with the blade against her lower arm, and she bled. Lutren
was the first to drink the blood, then passed the bowl on. All drank, and the only part left to finish the
ceremony was for Lutren to receive a blow and deal a blow. Lutren, are you able to stand again? With
difficulty, Lutren rose, but lifted his chin with pride. Taran had already decided he would not hold
back when he struck Lutren; to do so would shame the boy. Certainly, Taran wouldn t hit him as hard
as one of the men, but he d deliver a solid blow, one that would leave a nice mark. Taran and Lutren
were close; it is what the boy wanted. Thus, Taran pulled back his fist, and punched Lutren in the jaw,
hard enough that the boy s head snapped to the side, but Lutren did not fall. Tori gasped and buried her

However, despite best efforts, the transition will still cause some problems with relation to changeover
costs and increased training, particularly for current users of US GAAP. Therefore, despite the process
being one which is expected to be beneficial to many and establish a significant improvement in
harmonisation, there will still be some difficulties in regards to financial reporting that companies in
the US may face. The main aim of this research is to critically assess the convergence of IFRS and US
GAAP from the point of view of the US, and evaluate the alterations in financial reporting standards
that will cause problems for companies and consumers in the US
Introduction 1.1 Background
Over the last decade, the way in which financial reporting is carried out has seen some significant
advancements. One of the most momentous changes has been the introduction of International
Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which have been adopted broadly throughout the world, with
one major exception, the United States. Before accounting standards can be considered truly global,
this exception has to be resolved. The prospect of such an occurrence took massive strides in 2002,
when the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB); responsible for standard setting in the US,
announced their intention to work alongside the IASB in order to converge IFRS with US GAAP. For
the first time, a truly global set of accounting standards seemed a

Discrimination Lawsuit Against Walgreens Co
In 2005, private plaintiffs filed a class action racial discrimination lawsuit against Walgreens, their
employer in the case Tucker v. Walgreen Co., Case No. 05 CV 440 GPM. The plaintiffs alleged that
Walgreens Co. practiced a national, cultural discrimination against African American employees and
managers. Walgreens did this by denying their rights to be selected for entry level positions of
Assistant Manager or Management Trainees, rejecting any promotions for African American
employees in the retail or pharmacy career paths, and placing African American employees in
predominately African American or lower income stores. The plaintiffs sought to receive declaratory
and injunctive relief, as well as compensation and punitive damages. The plaintiffs also pursued class
certification for all African American employees nationwide. In the fall of 2006, the plaintiffs filed a
second complaint which the defendant moved to dismiss. In winter of 2006, the District Court denied
the defendant s motion to dismiss the complaint. The following year, in March 2007, the EEOC filed
an autonomous racial discrimination lawsuit against Walgreen in the U.S. District Court. This case
was renamed EEOC v. Walgreen Company, 07 CV 00172 MJR CJP. The EEOC then filed a motion to
consolidate the EEOC case with the Tucker v. Walgreen case. When the motion to consolidate was
granted, both parties were ordered to file all future pleadings in the Tucker v. Walgreen case. On

Civil Disobedience Examples
Civil disobedience positively impacts a free society. When disobeying peacefully, one disagrees with
the current regulations, but does so in a fashion that is not disruptive. Civil disobedience does result in
tension and further disputes in the community. But these are not for long. Eventually, civil
disobedience results in the way the people wanted it to. This is proven by examples from history and
today. The Boston Tea Party, which happened on December 16, 1773, was an act of protest to the Tea
Act, which had been passed by the British Parliament. In this act of civil disobedience, colonists
disguised as Native Americans emptied out entire crates of tea into the Boston Harbor. After this
event, there was even more tension and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed to drive. But on October 26, 2013, several women in Saudi
Arabia peacefully disobeyed this regulation. Women in many different cities got behind the steering
wheel and filmed a video of themselves driving. They then uploaded these videos on YouTube. The
women weren t taken to police stations. Instead, they were kept in their vehicles until their male
guardians arrived, at which point the women were released after signing pledges not to drive again. At
least 35 women drove on Saudi streets that Saturday, filming and uploading their videos on to
YouTube. This action does not have a happy ending like the two previous circumstances; the
government of Saudi Arabia still does not allow women to drive. However, from the women s actions,
the Saudi government got a wake up call. Society is now showing that it wants women to be driving.
In conclusion, after the women displayed this action of civil disobedience, they felt fulfilled. They told
CNN reporters, We are very proud. I feel like we accomplished the purpose of our campaign. It is a
small step but it represents a beginning for the oppressed woman in Saudi

The Possibilities of Technological Influences on Evolution
Introduction In humanity, as in all of life, the most successful traits in producing offspring will also
become the most prevalent. There is a belief that because we no longer fight for our survival, we will
no longer evolve. Evolution, however, has no goal or foresight. Though we have seized the need to
fight, and have triumphed to the top of the animal food chain, we continue to change and develop by
whatever is most successful for production. This could be beneficial, but could also have detrimental
effects. This paper will discuss these positive and negative possibilities, as well as how technology
could greatly alter our evolutionary path.
The Ideal of the Body
The initial future envisioned by the author was admittedly an ideal one. It s easy to imagine that
without limit to food and shelter that would otherwise inhibit our potential, we may become taller.
History shows that this has long been the trend and humanity could perhaps come to a 6 5 average, or
even higher, but at this point much taller mates would likely cease to be attractive as we would be
reaching our peak of structural stability. Humans much taller than this would be over encumbered by
their own density, and have inhibited walking capabilities (Fowler, 2006). Because of this, the author
predicted the possibility of an increasingly uniform height, as both very tall and shorter members of
society are selected against. Large amounts of body hair also tend to be chosen against and humans
would likely

Mass media are diversified technologies intended to reach large number of people by mass
communication. These technologies transmit their information electronically and may include
broadcast media such as television, radio, recorded music and film. On the other hand, Social media
refer to web based technologies that provide platform for individuals and community to share,
exchange information, ideas, and pictures /videos in virtual communities e.g. Facebook and twitter.
American Political System is highly dependent on Mass Media since the development of media began
a century ago through the development of first successful newspaper ( Boston News Letter). This was
the beginning of an inevitable development in global communication or mass media. Since then, other
media friendly devices have cemented their spot in the industry such as the television, the radio, cell

what is going on in the world around us, from business to welfare, from sports to political events. If

Summary Of The Turning By Tim Winton
The Turning is a collection of short stories that follow the lives of the same characters at different
critical moments in their lives, by the multi award winning Australian author Tim Winton. These
stories create their own turning, a sense that life somehow, even at its lowest, goes on. In the turning
Winton combines accessibility and a strong sense of common character into seventeen short stories.
Winton creates characters facing limited life choices which gives an engaging perspective to the
characters inside the book. In this text response I ll be focused on three of these included stories,
entitled On Her Knees , Damaged Goods and Fog . These stories all involve the story of Victor Lang
and his life and relationships.

Different Types of Ducks
There were many different types of ducks in these locations but there were only a few I was able to
recognize: Ruddy ducks dive for their food Very easy to spot these ducks because the male has a
bright blue bill, the bottom of their head is white and the top is black. The female is not as easy to
recognize but the top of its head is a darker brown whereas the bottom is a lighter brown/ white.
Mallard dabbling These ducks are the most common ducks found around New York state. They have a
yellow bill with a green head and a white band around its neck. Common goldeneye dive for their
food The reason why this duck is called the goldeneye, is because it actually has gold colored eyes.
The male ducks have a shiny green head with a white circle on its cheek. Its body is black and white.
The female, like every there female, does not have as many colors. The head is brown and like the
male, has golden eyes. The body is grey/white. 2. a) Flamingo: Its feet are long, skinny and
webbed. They have 4 toes in total, three toes pointing towards the front and one smaller toe in the
back. This is because these birds are almost always in the water and using their webbed feet for
swimming and stirring up food from the bottom. Their beak is hooked shaped, and their lower bill is
much thicker than the top. This allows for the flamingo to be filter feeders, looking for tiny shrimp.

Organ Of Organ And Tissue Donation
Organ and tissue donation can be defined as the removal of organs and tissues from either a living
donor s body or body of a patient who has recently died and transplanting the anatomical gifts into the
body of the recipient (Frey and Waun n.p.). Donation has continuously verified itself in the science
world as an exemplary form of medical treatment. Based on the advancements in donation over the
years, one can expect further amendments to be made to the life saving treatment in such high demand
today. Various circumstances, such as an increase in obesity and life expectancy, have become
primitive factors in determining the demand for organs. The ever growing need for transplantable
organs increases daily, which in turn is accountable for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two discoveries that have aided in solving this factor are tissue typing and Jean Borrel s discovery of
cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant drug which prevents the immune system from attacking the new
organ (Corr n.p.). With organ donation steadily increasing in success, more patients are added to the
waiting list every day in hopes of receiving a surgery that will save their lives.
The practice of organ and tissue donation requires regulation and legislation to ensure the rights of the
donor and recipient are protected throughout the entire process. Because of the scarcity of human
organs in the United States, the government created the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA) in
1968 to standardize the distribution of organs throughout the country ( Organ Donation ). Prior to the
UAGA of 1968, there were no federal laws concerning donation, and donations were conducted at the
state level ( Organ Donation ). The UAGA of 1968 proved to be efficient in the distribution of organs,
but the system needed modifications to meet the high demands of transplants. The original UAGA
lacked policies regarding the ethical issues that arise when in the donation process. After being revised
in 1972 and once again in 1987, the UAGA added new policies to further improve donation in the
United States. The new policies explicitly prohibited the selling of human organs, honored the
descendant s wishes over the family

The Role Of The Covenant In The Old Testament
In the Old Testament, there are many covenants between God and his people. A covenant is an
agreement between two parties (individuals or groups) that establishes their respective rights and
responsibilities in the relationship(46). In retrospect to the Jews, God s covenant was a promise that he
made to his people in return for what he asked of them. In the Old Testament, God made a covenant
with at least three people: Noah, Abraham, and Moses. One of the covenants made was between God
and Noah which affected him and his descendants. During the time Noah lived, God s people were
corrupt and were not living as God had asked them to (Genesis 6:9). Because of their disobedience,
God sent a massive flood that destroyed the world and killed every living person. But before God sent
this flood, he warned Noah of his planned actions and told him to build an ark that would protect him
and his family from the flood. Noah obeyed God s orders and built an ark for him and his family. After
the flood was over, God promised Noah and his descendants that he would never ... Show more

Abraham s descendants moved to Egypt to be with their brother Joseph to receive a better lifestyle,
but when Egypt received a new pharaoh he turned Abraham s descendants into slaves(51). Because of
the covenant that was made between Abraham and God years before, God sent Moses to rescue the
descendants from Egypt and bring them to the promise land. During their journey to the promise land,
Moses and the descendants went through many obstacles causing the descendants to blame God for all
of their problems and begin worshiping other Gods (54). When they reached Mount Sinai, God made
a covenant with Moses and the descendants. In order for them to reach the Promised Land, God
expected them to follow the Ten Commandments and to praise God with rituals and sacrifices for
leading them to the Promised Land.

  • 4. Comparison Of Diet And Soda Reaction Mentos and soda reaction has been a fun experiment done by people across the world. Yes, it is a easy project you can do. You can do it by yourself or with friends but, do you know the science behind it? Do you know if it is a physical reaction or chemical reaction? The reaction of soda and Mentos causes a fun explosive outcome but, why? When you drop the the Mentos in the diet soda it causes carbon dioxide bubbles to form really fast. Then the bubbles form until it forms a geyser. Not only the bubbles form the sticky and foamy reaction. The ingredients from the Mentos mixed with the sugar from the diet soda causes the soda too have a lower surface tension. It is hard for bubbles to form at a high surface tension ( Why Do Diet Coke ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Mental Floss, this is their explanation of why diet soda works better. Diet sodas produce a bigger reaction than non diet sodas because aspartame lowers the surface tension of the liquid much more than sugar or corn syrup will. You can also increase the effect by adding more surfactants to the soda when you add the Mentos, like adding a mixture of dishwasher soap and water ( Why Do Diet Coke and Mentos React? Mental Floss). Why is it a Physical reaction? It is a Physical reaction because of Nucleation. What causes the reaction of soda and Mentos slow or stops the reaction? To slow down the experiment a person would have to make sure that the carbon dioxide must escape from the soda. If that person does not have carbon dioxide in the soda the Mentos will not react to cause a fun and exciting Physical reaction( education.com. Mentos and Diet Coke Experiment | Science Project ). What is Nucleation? Nucleation is a form of crystallization.( The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica. Nucleation ). In conclusion the soda and Mentos reaction is fun, easy, and cheap. It is a physical reaction and it is because of nucleation. • 5. Difference Between Good And Evil In The Lion King Good and Evil are two things that we all have to face each day. We all see things that one may consider good and other evil. Good and evil can be seen as many things. For example, we have selfishness and kindness. Those are two meanings of the word evil and good. It is all about morals, having different morals, as in life, paths the way to what road you will travel down, good or evil. The movie The Lion King showed us many examples of good and evil. Scar is obviously a choice when it comes to who was evil. You have your considered good characters in the film. You also had characters who looked at Scar as good, the hyenas. The movie shows how different individuals have different morals when it comes to good and evil. The difference between good and evil varies from people. To some you might have to do big great things in order to be good as a person. For some people you do not have to do anything at all and still considered good. It is all about morals, which everyone grows up with different morals. Evil might be looked at as someone that hurts people every day just because they know they can. His or her sole purpose is to make sure that everyone feels down when around them. Fascinatingly people can also be evil by sitting back and doing nothing. For example, if someone is in a fight with more than one person, and losing, some people will do nothing. This brings me back to morals. One may think that just by sitting and doing nothing, you are a good person because you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Performance Of The Symphony I have never had the chance to sit and watch a symphony before. I have heard them in plays and other performances, but they have never been the main production in something I have seen. It was very interesting to see the structure behind the sound. The amount of people and different instruments all together making a cohesive piece of music was absolutely incredible. There appeared to be well over 50 musicians working together to produce different sounds that fit together so tenaciously. Among the instruments involved in the orchestra, I noticed cellos, flutes, clarinets, cymbals, tambourines, trumpets, violins, trombones, tubas, french horns, and even a few instruments that I could not recognize. The diversity in the instruments created a strong yet effortless feeling in the listener. The music flowed so well that it seemed simple and easy, yet when I looked into the orchestra and saw how many components go into the composition, it is clear that it is quite intricate. The symphony was set in a beautiful concert venue, the Boston Symphony Hall. The high ceilings were dripping with elaborate chandeliers, creating beautiful lighting for the on stage performers. The chairs of the instrumentalists were turned in a way so that all the performers could be viewed by the audience, and the conductors back was turned so he could face his orchestra. The walls on both sides were lined with two levels of seats, and four rows of seats were organized in front of the stage. Four windows ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Importance of the Friars in Much Ado About Nothing and... Importance of the Friars in Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure In the plays Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure, the friars are important instruments in their respective storyline because of their assumed pure intentions of using deception as a means to right the wrong doing within the play. They have the authority to administer questionable plans of action because they are respected and trusted. The friars hear all of the confessions; therefore, they could know even the deepest of secrets. The friars, or Fathers take on a protective role, a paternal one. They seem to relate more with the youth, or the wronged, who become like children needing guidance in their vulnerable states. When the parents, or as in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a most God like manner, Friar Francis is concocting a sketchy plan to bring together two lovers who, otherwise, were denied their rights by the treachery of Don Juan. Measure for Measure follows the same theme with a twist because in this instance Friar Lodowick is really the Duke, Vincentio. His role in this play is a little problematic because he is not really a clergyman, but he seems to try to set things right. As the friar, he convinces the Provost (4.2) to deceive Angelo and not hang Claudio, but to send him the head of another prisoner. By using his religious authority to control Angelo he said, By the vow of mine order, I warrant you, if my instructions may be your guide, let this Barnardine be this morning executed, and his head borne to Angelo (4.2.156 58). Another death will convince the deceived ploy concocted by a friar, the holy man. Another form of deceit in this play is Isabella and Mariana s deception of Angelo, as planned by the Friar. The Duke has them think that this is the best way to save Claudio and to reestablish Mariana s engagement contract with Angelo, which he never honored, With Angelo tonight shall lie/ His old betrothed but despised. / So disguise shall, by th disguised, / Pay with falsehood false exacting, / And perform an old contracting (3.1.498 502). • 8. Ragtime Music Research Paper In the late nineteenth century, African American musicians introduced this syncopated, up tempo music with a steady beat to small, unpopular venues; this style of piano music was called ragtime because of the how ragged their arrangements were. Ragtime was like marches and it has a European harmony with African rhythm. This style of music became known as it was used for actors to do their cakewalk, which is a high stepping dance, at the end of the minstrel shows. An African American, Scott Joplin was named the King of Ragtime . After World War I, ragtime music was overshadowed by the Tin Pan Alley, which was a street of publishing house with pianos playing simultaneously (Ferris, 2014). • 9. Rabbit and Wolves Lab Essay Rabbits and wolves Introduction The computer simulation named Rabbits and wolves is about models and simple systems. In the simulation, there are three main organisms, rabbits, wolves and grass all put together in a forest ecosystem. An ecosystem is a set of organism within a defined area or volume that interact with one another and with their environment (Miller amp; Spoolman). A system is a collection of elements or components that are organized for a common purpose (Rouse, 2005). The purpose of this simulation is to see how these three organisms will interact with one another in the same environment. The simulation runs for 207 iterations. Graph 4 Evolution of the wolf and rabbit population in a smaller environment than the default parameters The default parameters are running but the size of the forest changed from medium to small. The simulation runs for 221 iterations. Discussion My first objective was to view and interact with simple computer model. Kamarudin Journal of Applied Physics 2012 Volume 112, Issue 5, Pages 053526 (1 11) Since the successful demonstration of second harmonic generation by a propagation of a ruby laser beam via a quartz crystal by Franken et al,1 borate materials have been widely studied to employ in the potential applications such as nonlinear optics (NLO) and laser (mainly in visible and UV light) engineering.2, 3, 4, 5 Materials with NLO properties are useful for generating new frequency laser sources that cannot be directly produced from the common laser sources.2 Consequently, NLO materials have enabled a wider range of frequencies produced from the available laser. Borate materials have a few great properties, for example, short growth period, high damage threshold, large effective nonlinear coefficient and good mechanical properties.6 This suggests that borate materials are well fitted for the purpose of laser frequency conversion. BaB2O4, LiB3O5, CsB3O5 and YCa4(BO3)3O are examples of well known borate based NLO crystals.2 An early review on the comparison of the damage threshold and optical transmittance of these mentioned borate crystal compounds have been done by Becker in which the use of the favourable anionic group and birefringence in the borate materials are the essential features needed to produce ... Poe, while he was alive, wrote many lines similar to this in his stories, always expressing strong and horridly bad emotions. People might wonder why he wrote so much about things like death, alcoholism and poverty. It was once said that an author s mind affects their writing, and a prime example of this is how poe s life affected his writing themes. The first detail of how Poe s life influenced his writing is the element of death in his stories. Death of loved ones is painfully obvious in Poe s poem, The Raven, in which he states sorrow, for the loss of lenore . Lenore is symbolizing Poe s wife, Virginia. She was one of many of poe s loved ones who had died of a common ailment at the time, Tuberculosis. This disease had claimed Poe s brother, foster mother, as well as his wife, consequently, he gave it it s own story, The Mask Of The Red Death. In this story, all the characters die of the fatal illness the red death (another name for TB) and darkness and decay and the red death held illimitable dominion over all . Before accounting standards can be considered truly global, this exception has to be resolved. The prospect of such an occurrence took massive strides in 2002, when the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB); responsible for standard setting in the US, announced their intention to work alongside the IASB in order to converge IFRS with US GAAP. For the first time, a truly global set of accounting standards seemed a

  • 31. Discrimination Lawsuit Against Walgreens Co In 2005, private plaintiffs filed a class action racial discrimination lawsuit against Walgreens, their employer in the case Tucker v. Walgreen Co., Case No. 05 CV 440 GPM. The plaintiffs alleged that Walgreens Co. practiced a national, cultural discrimination against African American employees and managers. Walgreens did this by denying their rights to be selected for entry level positions of Assistant Manager or Management Trainees, rejecting any promotions for African American employees in the retail or pharmacy career paths, and placing African American employees in predominately African American or lower income stores. The plaintiffs sought to receive declaratory and injunctive relief, as well as compensation and punitive damages. The plaintiffs also pursued class certification for all African American employees nationwide. In the fall of 2006, the plaintiffs filed a second complaint which the defendant moved to dismiss. In winter of 2006, the District Court denied the defendant s motion to dismiss the complaint. The following year, in March 2007, the EEOC filed an autonomous racial discrimination lawsuit against Walgreen in the U.S. District Court. This case was renamed EEOC v. Walgreen Company, 07 CV 00172 MJR CJP. The EEOC then filed a motion to consolidate the EEOC case with the Tucker v. Walgreen case. When the motion to consolidate was granted, both parties were ordered to file all future pleadings in the Tucker v. Walgreen case. On March 24th, 2008, the judge ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Civil Disobedience Examples Civil disobedience positively impacts a free society. When disobeying peacefully, one disagrees with the current regulations, but does so in a fashion that is not disruptive. Civil disobedience does result in tension and further disputes in the community. But these are not for long. Eventually, civil disobedience results in the way the people wanted it to. This is proven by examples from history and today. The Boston Tea Party, which happened on December 16, 1773, was an act of protest to the Tea Act, which had been passed by the British Parliament. In this act of civil disobedience, colonists disguised as Native Americans emptied out entire crates of tea into the Boston Harbor. After this event, there was even more tension and ... Women in many different cities got behind the steering wheel and filmed a video of themselves driving. They then uploaded these videos on YouTube. The women weren t taken to police stations. Instead, they were kept in their vehicles until their male guardians arrived, at which point the women were released after signing pledges not to drive again. At least 35 women drove on Saudi streets that Saturday, filming and uploading their videos on to YouTube. This action does not have a happy ending like the two previous circumstances; the government of Saudi Arabia still does not allow women to drive. However, from the women s actions, the Saudi government got a wake up call. Society is now showing that it wants women to be driving. In conclusion, after the women displayed this action of civil disobedience, they felt fulfilled. They told CNN reporters, We are very proud. I feel like we accomplished the purpose of our campaign. It is a small step but it represents a beginning for the oppressed woman in Saudi ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The Possibilities of Technological Influences on Evolution Introduction In humanity, as in all of life, the most successful traits in producing offspring will also become the most prevalent. There is a belief that because we no longer fight for our survival, we will no longer evolve. Evolution, however, has no goal or foresight. Though we have seized the need to fight, and have triumphed to the top of the animal food chain, we continue to change and develop by whatever is most successful for production. This could be beneficial, but could also have detrimental effects. This paper will discuss these positive and negative possibilities, as well as how technology could greatly alter our evolutionary path. The Ideal of the Body The initial future envisioned by the author was admittedly an ideal one. It s easy to imagine that without limit to food and shelter that would otherwise inhibit our potential, we may become taller. History shows that this has long been the trend and humanity could perhaps come to a 6 5 average, or even higher, but at this point much taller mates would likely cease to be attractive as we would be reaching our peak of structural stability. Humans much taller than this would be over encumbered by their own density, and have inhibited walking capabilities (Fowler, 2006). Because of this, the author predicted the possibility of an increasingly uniform height, as both very tall and shorter members of society are selected against. Large amounts of body hair also tend to be chosen against and humans would likely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Different Types of Ducks There were many different types of ducks in these locations but there were only a few I was able to recognize: Ruddy ducks dive for their food Very easy to spot these ducks because the male has a bright blue bill, the bottom of their head is white and the top is black. The female is not as easy to recognize but the top of its head is a darker brown whereas the bottom is a lighter brown/ white. Mallard dabbling These ducks are the most common ducks found around New York state. They have a yellow bill with a green head and a white band around its neck. Common goldeneye dive for their food The reason why this duck is called the goldeneye, is because it actually has gold colored eyes. The male ducks have a shiny green head with a white circle on its cheek. Its body is black and white. The female, like every there female, does not have as many colors. The head is brown and like the male, has golden eyes. The body is grey/white. 2. a) Flamingo: Its feet are long, skinny and webbed. They have 4 toes in total, three toes pointing towards the front and one smaller toe in the back. This is because these birds are almost always in the water and using their webbed feet for swimming and stirring up food from the bottom. Their beak is hooked shaped, and their lower bill is much thicker than the top. This allows for the flamingo to be filter feeders, looking for tiny shrimp. • 38. Organ Of Organ And Tissue Donation Organ and tissue donation can be defined as the removal of organs and tissues from either a living donor s body or body of a patient who has recently died and transplanting the anatomical gifts into the body of the recipient (Frey and Waun n.p.). Donation has continuously verified itself in the science world as an exemplary form of medical treatment. Based on the advancements in donation over the years, one can expect further amendments to be made to the life saving treatment in such high demand today. Various circumstances, such as an increase in obesity and life expectancy, have become primitive factors in determining the demand for organs. The ever growing need for transplantable organs increases daily, which in turn is accountable for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two discoveries that have aided in solving this factor are tissue typing and Jean Borrel s discovery of cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant drug which prevents the immune system from attacking the new organ (Corr n.p.). With organ donation steadily increasing in success, more patients are added to the waiting list every day in hopes of receiving a surgery that will save their lives. The practice of organ and tissue donation requires regulation and legislation to ensure the rights of the donor and recipient are protected throughout the entire process. Because of the scarcity of human organs in the United States, the government created the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA) in 1968 to standardize the distribution of organs throughout the country ( Organ Donation ). Prior to the UAGA of 1968, there were no federal laws concerning donation, and donations were conducted at the state level ( Organ Donation ). The UAGA of 1968 proved to be efficient in the distribution of organs, but the system needed modifications to meet the high demands of transplants. The original UAGA lacked policies regarding the ethical issues that arise when in the donation process. After being revised in 1972 and once again in 1987, the UAGA added new policies to further improve donation in the United States. The new policies explicitly prohibited the selling of human organs, honored the descendant s wishes over the family ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. The Role Of The Covenant In The Old Testament In the Old Testament, there are many covenants between God and his people. A covenant is an agreement between two parties (individuals or groups) that establishes their respective rights and responsibilities in the relationship(46). In retrospect to the Jews, God s covenant was a promise that he made to his people in return for what he asked of them. In the Old Testament, God made a covenant with at least three people: Noah, Abraham, and Moses. One of the covenants made was between God and Noah which affected him and his descendants. During the time Noah lived, God s people were corrupt and were not living as God had asked them to (Genesis 6:9). Because of their disobedience, God sent a massive flood that destroyed the world and killed every living person. But before God sent this flood, he warned Noah of his planned actions and told him to build an ark that would protect him and his family from the flood. Noah obeyed God s orders and built an ark for him and his family. After the flood was over, God promised Noah and his descendants that he would never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During their journey to the promise land, Moses and the descendants went through many obstacles causing the descendants to blame God for all of their problems and begin worshiping other Gods (54).
