The nucha or nutsche filter is designed for extraction, filtration and vacuum drying processes, mainly used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food sectors. The filtration is given from the difference of pressures between the upper and lower part of the filter (being higher the pressure of the top) because the equipment can work under pressure and vacuum. The filtration depends on the type of product, so it will be necessary to make tests to choose the type of filter. After filtering, the filter blades will lower to flatten the cake, pressing it to reduce humidity. Then the cake will be dried, putting vacuum on top and applying heat to the wall of the tank and simultaneously turning the blades in the opposite direction to improve heat transmission and evaporate the solvent. Finally the discharge valve will open and the tank will be emptied.
