excessive pride can turn into being obnoxious and self centered. Believing in what you only say and

In the novel the iliad by Homer many characters struggle with this trait, some overcome it and some
feed into it. In the beginning of the book Agamemnon seems to be self centered with the way he leads.

The talk radio program that I chose to listen to was Janet Parshall s In the Marketplace. The topic
discussed during this program was the Republican Presidential Debate. The host, Janet Parshall, and
her husband Craig lead the conversation. A few people called in and voiced their opinions on the
subject as well. It was an hour long program that discussed many different things that had happened
during the Republican Presidential Debate. The program began with a few facts about the debate that

It was clear that Washington outsiders had been receiving more votes as of late, and these callers had
mentioned these people as candidates they were supporting. Among the names mentioned were Ben
Carson, Carly Fiorina, and Rand Paul. Janet Parshall had posed the question, why are people more
interested in the people who are outside of Washington, and the answer was this: A lot of Americans
want a President with a business attitude instead of a political attitude. They want someone who can
turn around the national debt of our country and get the business side of our government running
smoothly again. This is why Donald Trump has been receiving a lot of popularity. People don t want
someone who is thinking only politically; they want a businessman. That business man should,
however, know how things operate in government, and how they are supposed to operate in theory
according to the Constitution. Another thing they had talked about during this program was the fact
that at the Republican Presidential Debate, the moderators were deliberately turning the candidates
against each other with the questions they were asking. They were purposely trying to get them to
fight with each other instead of trying to get them to discuss the real issues that needed to be

Good Food Revolution Analysis
In the book Good Food Revolution, it focuses on the main point of Will Allen s life and how he has
always been around food. I believe the book does a good job with tying in different connections and
references with food and with Will Allen since he has grown up around food ever since he was little.
When the book states The fate of a seed can be predicted by the health of the soil where it takes the
root I believe that Will Allen is referring and connecting it back to himself. I believe he relates this to
himself because a plant s roots are surrounded by soil and Will Allen has planted his roots around
farming and food. A plant needs soil to survive and Will Allen needed farming to survive. His whole
life and job has revolved around planting. A plant lives off of what it knows and its surroundings and
Will Allen did the same. His parents planted the seed to get the initial start in farming so he picks up
where they left off. Even though he was not into farming when he was younger he learned to grow and
find a passion for farming as he grew older because it has always been around him. No matter where
he went he held onto farming because that is all he knew. I believe this connection between Will Allen
and the quote about the plant enhances and helps tell the story of how Will Allen got involved in
farming.

French philosopher Jean Baudrillard spoke: the world is not dialectical it is sworn to extremes, not to
equilibrium, sworn to radical antagonism, not to reconciliation or synthesis. This is also the principle
of evil. In Marjane Satrapi s Persepolis, the events and effects of the Islamic Revolution are portrayed;
what is most notable, however, are the steps taken to portray Satrapi s personal position. In her graphic
text, she illustrates her work with a sharp black and white contrast, utilized to portray a variety of
themes. How can one s perspective filter the way they view the world around them? That question is
what Satrapi challenges with Persepolis, which distinguishes her work. Through the black and white
scheme, Persepolis illustrates political and social extremism; a lack of gray area between opposing
sides of political warfare, especially from a victim s perspective. A child s innocence is portrayed by
the black and white scheme, as well as the book s formatting, in an attempt to both politicize the
surroundings of Satrapi and humanize her existence as a regular youth who conversely resulted in

Bear Mccreary Monologue
Hey, everyone! Just got back from watching The Walking Dead s Season 7 Episode 2 and I have to
say, it has a good feel to it. But before that, let s start at the beginning. So for those who haven t seen
the newest and latest episode of TWD, beware as this contains spoilers. Really. Anyway, yeah.
Okay, so first we see the recap from when we last saw Carol and Morgan with the former badly
injured because of a savior (I think) and the latter facing two men with horses and body armors
looking bad ass as heck. Then comes the well known and loved masterpiece of Bear McCreary which
is also known as The Walking Dead theme song. Also, quick fact that I m not even sure is quite
precise but to heck with it: McCreary wanted to compose something that when we hear it, TWD
almost immediately comes to mind. And indeed, it has. Kudos to Bear McCreary!
Now, going back, we see Carol laid unto something, a somewhat wheelbarrow like carriage that is

One of my favorite soccer memories was two years ago at soccer tournament. My team was in the
semifinals. And it was a rainy and cold day. We scored first and took the lead one to nothing in the
first half but not too long after the other tea scored tying the game 1 to 1. In the second half we went
back and forth but no scored. With about a minute left we got a corner. On of my teammate took the
corner and I was in the back waiting for it so I kicked it in. After that the ref blew the whistle to end

style was that of the final conductor because he lead the orchestra with his arms completely crossed
and occasionally instructed with is his face when a section should begin to play or not.

When you first read a tragic, melodramatic love scene you feel like your heart is breaking too.
Sometimes you cry. It is only after the initial rush of feelings that you begin to feel cheated. Usually
the kind of writing that gives you the urge to be demonstrative does not stay with you as long as
something more subtle. In Scott Fitzgerald s This Side of Paradise, the reader is presented with such a
love scene in the form of a play. I admit to having sobbed for a solid minute after reading about the ill
fated romance between Amory Blaine and Rosalind Connage. However, the same subject, with

One of the ways that Hemingway achieves this is that his sentences alternate between dealing with a
very small detail or specific moment and moving the story through long periods of time. In the
opening paragraph of the story, Hemingway paints the picture of one night at the hospital. He takes
time to note that there were chimney swifts in the sky. Later on we skip through his entire experience
when he returns to the war, seeing the period only in terms of the girl. Hemingway can move through
time quickly in the story without losing the thread of the narrative. There is nothing in the story that is
not essential to understanding the experience of the boy and the girl.
In the Fitzgerald novel, on the other hand, there is so much extraneous material that it can be difficult
to process. The twenty five page section that deals with the romance even changes style several times,
moving from a play to prose and back again. There is none of the tight craftsmanship found in the
Hemingway story.
Amory and Rosalind s lines are full of clich eacute;s and bright, splashy comments. The stage
directions are things like, their eyes were blinded by tears, and other dramatic indications. The
Fitzgerald tale is one of intense but fleeting impressions.

The true meaning of resilience is shown many times in the book Unbroken. Having strong problem
solving skills is what it took Louie and Phil to survive the troubles of beings trapped at sea. The two
and Mac faced many challenges and all of them dealt with it differently. They supported each other by
communicating and sharing all the food. Support 1: Louie, Phil, and Mac did something many of us
would believe to be a nightmare. They were trapped in the Pacific ocean for 47 days with no food and
water. The hardest obstacles they faced were finding water and keeping their sanity. This is shown in
the text when Louie instead of allowing large pools of water to gather, he began continuously sucking
the captured water into his mouth, then spitting
