Types Of Missing Teeth And Fabrication Of Partial Or...
Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016
Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main
objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is
necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her
attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent
the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth,
and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics
and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to
reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it
cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements,
within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an
articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s
TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex
neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a
predetermined fixed relationship.

The Breakdown Of The Titanic Disaster
Titanic Imagine going on what is supposed to be a magnificent vacation, but turns out to be a
horrendous disaster. The titanic was the biggest man made ship and was supposed to be an unsinkable
ship. Work began in 1909 in the massive Harland and Wolff yard. Titanic continued nonstop until the
spring of 1911. There was peace and the world had an even tenor to its way. Nothing was revealed the
morning the trend of which was not known the night before. It seems to me the disaster about to occur
was the event that not only made the world rub it s eyes and awake but woke it with a start keeping it
moving at a rapidly accelerating pace ever since with less and less peace, satisfaction, and happiness.
To my mind the world of today awoke April 15, 1912. Jack B. Thayer a titanic survivor. There were
many flaws in the design of the titanic. The titanic was doomed from the start because of the design.
In fact the water tight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There was flushing toilets in the third class, but no flushing toilets in the first or second class areas,
which is really surprising. Although third class had flushing toilets first and second class had libraries,
a smoking room for men, and reading and writing rooms for women. Also the third class area had a
piano, which was fancy back then. The first class had three electric elevators and the second class had
one electric elevator and to complete that they had people that were called operators. In the end the
titanic would have been a great ship if it didn t have so many fatal flaws. The iceberg that the titanic
hit was approximated at fifty to one hundred feet high and two hundred to four hundred feet long. I
thought it would be a safe steamship, and I had heard it would not sink. Margaret Devaney a titanic

Why Is Flagellation Should Be Allowed In Schools
As I was growing up, my mom would tell me stories when they would use the wooden paddle in
school. She would tell me that they would spank her friends when they would behave bad. She also
told me that there was this kid they spanked so hard that they heard the kid sobbing and squealing.
Flagellation should be allowed in some schools, because some kids don t have respect or manners in
school and by that they should learn by getting paddled. Because some parents don t punish their kids
and that s what makes kids behave bad and they have to learn by getting paddled. And I think that it
would help some parents by straightening their kids up a little. The reason they should do this again in
schools is because some kids don t have the respect they

Jack London To Build A Fire Essay
A writer named Jack London was born on January 12, 1876 (Verde). He has written many stories, he
wrote about 200 short stories (Werlock). For example, The Cruise of the Snark, White Silence and the
one we will be talking about To Build a Fire. According to Robert Evan, Jack London eventually
became one of the most popular American writers in the world. In the story To Build a Fire, written by
Jack London. He uses two characters, a man and dog to express the theme of arrogance throughout the
story, the author Jack London was able to use his experience with him getting lost while the

A Brief Note On Karl Marx And The Capitalist System
1. According to Karl Marx, the proletariats are the people who are most exploited by the capitalist
system. They are the workers that work for the boss that owns the means of production (194). The
employers own the means of production and therefore make the rules. Leaving room for exploitation.
It is the working class that makes up the proletariat faction of society. The working class makes up
about 30 percent of the total population and includes individuals that, in part, work as electricians,
unskilled factory and construction workers, and retail workers (194).
Individuals of the working class are also affected by what Karl Marx refers to as Work Alienation.
Work Alienation is an outcome job holders face when they lose control over either the work process,
the product of their labor, or both (194). Generally, this means a lack of satisfaction in their jobs and
what they do. Work Alienation occurs when only simple mundane tasks are required of workers. A
good example of this is factory jobs. With the rise of technology, less and less work is being required
of workers and machinery is taking on most of the responsibility. Often leaving workers to only do
simple tasks or preform button pushing work. Marx described this phenomenon as man becoming an
appendage of the machine (194).
2. The working class has a very unique set of cultural, human and social capital. As usually is the case,
cultural capital is passed down through family members and close

A Good Number Of Films Produced By Tim Burton Prompt...
On the surface, a good number of films produced by Tim Burton prompt similar themes of dark satire
and grisly outcomes. However, throughout the progress of the film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber
of Fleet Street, I found my initial impressions of the typically grim director to be baseless and skewed.
From being introduced to songs like No Place Like London and my personal favorite, A Little Priest,
to the surreal interpretation of lust, loss, and revenge; Burton s establishes his take on mischief,
malice, and meat pies through each individual scene and character development. Moreover, each
musical number complements not only the twist and turns of the plot, but also each character s
respective personalities. The reinterpretation of what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After returning to the place that gave him hurt, Sweeney Todd outs two scam artists, one of them
named Adolfo, who are selling a potion to a cure for hair loss and defeats them in a shaving
competition. The song at this arc that stands out the most is The Contest, not because it is centered on
this scenario, but because the visionaries of the play and film adaption did an excellent job in
portraying the times of penny dreadfuls. This is also where we get to see a contrast between characters
Todd vs. Adolfo. Coincidentally, Adolfo had previously worked for Sweeney Todd and attempted to
blackmail him, but was eventually murdered by Todd.
Sweeney Todd s friend Anthony, the boy who accompanied him on the ship back to London, informs
Todd of his plan to elope with Todd s daughter, Johanna, which places him in direct competition with
Judge Turpin for Johanna s hand in marriage. Judge Turpin finally finds his way into the clutches of
Sweeney Todd, but before Todd can exact his revenge, his friend Anthony reveals his plan to elope
with Johanna. Judge Turpin storms out and Sweeney Todd drives Anthony from the premises in a fit of
rage. Sweeney Todd suddenly takes a mass murderous turn and decides that all people deserve to die:
the wealthy for their sins and corruption and the poor to be taken out of their misery. Thus ends the
first act of the play.
Fast forward, weeks after the events that just occurred, Sweeney Todd and Mrs.

Homer s Tough Choices In Cider House Rules
In the movie Cider House Rules Homer experiences a lot in a short amount of time. There are several
tragedies and he has to make many tough choices. For a man who has lived in the same house all his
life, and has no cultural experience Homer took a lot on. His relationship between Candy and Wally
and his relationship with Dr. Larch is twisted and pulled when he makes his move to the apple
orchard. The tough choices he has to make with Rose and Mr. Rose is one many would never even
experience in a lifetime. Some of the choices he makes may not be the right ones, but what he learns is
important. His relationship with Candy while Wally goes to war is a tricky one. He had a choice to
make which so many people make in their life time: Follow my Heart or Follow what s right. He had
never been exposed to love with a women and when he was exposed to it with Candy his heart took
over. Candy, on the other hand, was simply lonely. She should have waited for Wally to come home
and she shouldn t have dragged Homer through his first heart break, but she did. The choice for
Homer to go home in the end, was a good choice because when your heart is broken you ... Show

The Healthcare Industry of America: An investigative look at HMO s
It s no secret that Health Maintenance Organizations, known as HMO s, have made healthcare
affordable for many Americans, but at what risks? Most employers offer some type of health care plan
that is an HMO. Let s face it, given the choice among insurance coverage through your employer, in
which he pays half the costs, or acquiring private insurance coverage outside your employer, most
Americans choose to go with employer provided HMO s. Why then, has there been so much
controversy with HMO s?
An HMO is an organization whereby the subscriber, or patient, is allowed to choose a medical
provider from a list of doctors within a certain medical group. Each physician ... Show more content

This process could take weeks due to cumbersome paperwork and the limited number of specialist per
each group or health plan. Again, many doctors only accept these plans to supplement their practices.
It is common for them to stop accepting your HMO after only a few years which leaves the patient a
choice of either paying cash, or changing doctors or insurance companies. One can see why this might
be a frustrating process.
Managed care reduces cost by keeping a pool of doctors and specialist to a minimum, and at the same
time keeping the volume of patients high. This often means that a patient may not receive the same
amount of attention and care as they should, or were accustomed to. Consumers have long grumbled
that HMO s have done too much too keep health costs down by stinting on patient care.(1).
Healthcare expenditures have more than doubled since 1965. Americans spend over a trillion dollars a
year on health care. (2). As of 1996, 110 million Americans were enrolled in HMO s. More than three
fourths of all individuals in HMO s are covered by job based insurance. More than 13 million
Medicaid recipients have been put into managed care plans. Managed care and HMO s have been the
subject of many negative stories in the press and are constantly being charged with endangering the
health and lives of their enrollees. As a result, congressional hearing, state, and federal regulation, and
action by the

Bauer Performance Sports Ltd.
Bauer Performance Sports Ltd. is a company based out of Exeter, New Hampshire that produces ice
hockey equipment, fitness and recreational skates, and apparel. They are best known for their skates
but after acquiring multiple companies they have expanded into manufacturing wide range of
equipment from skates to hockey sticks. The company has expanded to new levels and now has the
face of many NHL stars to represent their brand. For an athlete to stay relevant in their sport they have
to adapt and get better year after year. It is the same for a worker, once they are not up to date on
everything they need to know they became more of a liability for the company. This is because they
are not as efficient as another work who would be up to date and could replace them. This is the same
for manufactures of products, the product they are selling must be the best or top of the line so that it
is appealing to the consumers. Another big part of issues manufactures have is that they need to have
more than one version of the product. When marketing to a large number of consumers the product
has to be the most appeal one on the shelf and in their price range. Bauer has to maintain a product
line that will be affordable to a player who is trying a sports for his first time all the way up to the
professional players. Bauer was founded in 1927 in the town of Kitchener, Ontario. They changed
hockey skates forever when they developed the first skate with the blade attached. In

Ancient Grecian Theatre In Ancient Greece
In the Grecian Golden Age, Greece made many advances in the sciences, philosophy, and the arts.
One of their greatest achievements was in drama. Ancient Grecian theatre was hugely important to the
Greeks. The ideas found in their plays influenced the common way of thinking. The actual theatre
structures were spaces for architects and sculptors of the time to show off their superb talent. Modern
historians studying the ruins and ancient texts of Greece frequently come across the fingerprint that
theatre left, evidence of which can still be seen today in modern Greece. One of the most obvious
displays of theatre s impact on Greece is in the magnificent ruins of ancient structures. Most of the
ruins of ancient Grecian theatres that survive to this day are from no earlier than fourth century BC.
This is because there was a transition from the usage of wood in building theatres to using stone at that
time, which allowed the structures to be much more well preserved. Even the ruins show that an
extreme amount of artistry and mathematical skill was necessary in the construction of these ancient
structures. For instance, because of the lack of amplifying technology in ancient Greece, the theatres
were constructed with the aim of natural supplementation of sound in the way of acoustics. It is quite a
feat when the people in the back row of some twenty thousand people can hear the actors without the
need of yelling and without any means of unnatural magnification. Some examples of

Women During World War Two
I think a lot of women said, Screw that noise. Cause they had a taste of freedom, they had a taste of
making their own money, a taste of spending their own money, making their own decisions. I think the
beginning of the women s movement had its seeds right there in World War Two. President Franklin
D. Roosevelt s quote clearly illustrates the significance of women in the workforce during World War
Two and the feelings women may have felt. World War II was crucial for women in the workforce
because it was the first time the government needed women in the workforce to replace men in their
jobs, while they were away at war. Although, women had some involvement in the First Great War,
there was no greater demand for women to the workforce then during World War Two. Although
women played a crucial role in the successes of the Second Great War, society had varying opinions
and outlooks revolving around women s involvement in the workforce. Not everyone was supportive
of women s involvement in the labor force because of the stereotypes formed many years previous to
World War II regarding women being simply homemakers and working only in their homes, or very
seldom as secretaries. This view of women caused many problems for women in the workforce and it
continues to be a problem for women today. It is evident while looking at this particular time in
history, that there were varying views of women being a part of the workforce; it is clear that there are
people who thought

Greek Petra, rock ) and became a Latin Petrus and the English Peter. Jesus told Peter he was the Rock
upon whom the Christian Church would be built. Throughout the public life of Jesus, Peter is
represented in the Gospel as the Spokesman and principal member of Jesus followers. He is the first

Barbie dolls are made to be small, skinny, fashionable, and kid friendly. However, that friendly doll

Toys such as Barbie dolls can affect a child s perception of body image.

Support Center For Student Veterans
Transfer of Learning
The goal of this program will be to develop a support center for student veterans that will enhance the
veteran s cognitive development for achieving success in postsecondary education by coordinating
services to address their academic, financial, physical, and social needs. Caffarella and Daffron (2013)
stress the importance of reasons for the planning of transfer of learning, the following will show how
the veteran s center developed the program to fulfill the reasons/needs for the center and program
(p.215). The first reason being the ad hoc organization and the veteran students will ask for learning
outcomes that apply practical knowledge to make a difference in the veteran s efforts to balance the
many personal, professional, and academic responsibilities in their lives. The veteran s center and
program provide this practical knowledge as shown in Table 1. The second reason the center and
program will be developed is to help the veterans develop solutions that will create a balanced
approach to the responsibilities in their lives. The transfer of learning plan will be constructed to allow
the veteran students to apply their learning to balance the difficult demands of their lives as previously
stated (Caffarella Daffron, 2013, p. 215). Finally, the transfer of learning plan will assist the veterans
to transfer their learning to reflect the changes they themselves need to make to translate the
knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs) (See Appendix

What Is The Difference Between Constant Diamond And The...
The movies Blood Diamond (2006), directed by Edward Zwick and The Constant Gardener (2005),
directed by Fernando Meirelles, both focus mainly on the exploitation of Africa, especially by The
West and Europe. By highlight these important issues the movies awaken a sense of awareness in their
audiences.
In The Constant Gardener , Rachel Weisz was cast as one of the main Characters; Tessa Quayle.
From the first memories Justin has of her in the conference room, Tessa is presented as a passionate
activist, who perhaps acts before she thinks (this is shown by her embarrassment after she boldly
shared her thoughts in the conference room). The connection she shared with the children from Africa
brings her loving and caring nature to the foreground and this motherly nature is highlighted even
further by Tessa s pregnancy. Tessa does however have an extremely secretive side which is one of the
conflicts Tessa faces with Justin. By keeping part of her life a secret, she prevents Justin from fully
understanding her, which leads to miscommunication and ultimately a breach of trust as Justin

Using Animals in Research is Bad! Essay
Have you ever wondered about what a product or a medicine goes through before it gets to us on the
store shelves? Products from deodorant to Viagra to weed killer go through years of tests before a
regulating body decides they are safe for us to use. The FDA approves drugs and cosmetics and he
EPA regulates chemicals that are used and may be harmful to the environment. However before these
products are even considered by these regulatory bodies they must go through years of testing. Testing
that is unfortunately done on defenseless animals. Each year 50 to 100 million vertebrate animals,
such as mice, rats, rabbits, cats and dogs are used in experiments to test products such as medicines,
lipstick, household cleaners and pesticides. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of test is disturbing due to the fact that there are several highly sensitive non animal tests
that can be done to detect chemical induced genetic mutations but the government still requires
companies to poison animals to see whether or not they will develop cancer. The standard test of the
kind is the rodent cancer bioassay. Mice and rats are subjected to a lifetime of chemical exposure to
the chemicals in all new or reformulated pesticides, food additives, and drugs. Studies have proven
that these tests are found to have more than a 70 percent false positive rate. The final group of tests
that are performed on animals is product tests. No law requires that cosmetics and household products
be tested on animals however, the FDA does urge companies to conduct whatever tests are necessary
to establish that their products are safe and the Consumer Safety Product Commission that regulates
household products does not require animal testing yet many companies do it anyway. I have saved
what I feel is the most cruel aspect of animals testing is that done on primates. Primates are known to

Berlusconi s Struggles Essay
According to Silvio Berlusconi, he is the best political leader in Europe and in the world. There can be
a difference in opinion regarding that statement, but the majority of Italian voters decided Berlusconi
should be elected prime minister again in 2008. He is in the midst of his third term as prime minister
of Italy; inheriting many challenges from his predecessor. During his time in office, addition problems
arose. An analysis of Berlusconi s government reveals three issues affecting Italy: the garbage pick up
strike in Naples, immigration, and personal scandals. An analysis shows the causes, repercussions and
responses to the issues.

Inadequate resolutions to this problem early on have allowed this to happen again in 2007. Although
$11 billion has been spent on waste management, it has not prevented the issue from recurring (
Rubbish in Naples ).
The garbage crisis started in December 2007 when landfills closed and workers stopped collecting
trash. With nowhere else to dump garbage, streets became dumpsters. The Naples strike had garbage
piling up to an incredible height and even narrowed streets. Residents were left to deal with the foul
smell of the left over trash, but also the possibility of the trash having an effect on their health.
The European Commission set a deadline of a month for the garbage to be picked up in Naples. In a
press release, the European Commission formally accused Italy of not adhering to EU legislation on
waste and threatened legal actions if measures were not taken to alleviate the problem ( Commission
Sends Final Warning ). Stavros Dimas, a top environmental official, estimated that 100,000 tons of
garbage was contributing to the problem (Polvoledo, EU Criticizes Italy ). The European Commission
argued that the risk of the spread of disease and pollution through air, water and land needed to be
taken seriously ( Commission Sends Final Warning ). If Italy did not resolve the garbage crisis by the
deadline it imposed, the case would be sent to the European Court of Justice. The mafia in Italy has

Wvsa Case Study
When was the WVSA constructed and how was it modified? The WVSA was built in two phases
around 1967. WVSA went online for primary treatment plant in 1968. In 1988, the WVSA decided to
add the second treatment plant. The modification occurred when the second treatment plant was built.
The second treatment plant allowed the removal of organic matter to reach 97%. What is the source of
the sewage and from what communities does it originate? The source is a combination of sanitary and
storm sewages; majority of the combined sewage water comes from the Wilkes Barre area. In
addition, other communities that contribute to the sewage water source are places like Dallas PA,
Lehman township, Hanover township, and more. How does the sewage arrive at the WVSA? Sewage
arrives at the WVSA by pumping all the waste water from the combined/ storm sewers and collecting
it in the wet well then transferred to the influent pumps. Another place the sewage can arrive at WVSA
is from other places who decided not to upgrade like, Lehman Township, that has the WVSA treat
their waste for them instead. Describe the treatment process in detail. The treatment process is broken

officers. This can include the use of such things as assault rifles, submachine guns, armored personnel

Acute Pancreatitis
The Endocrine system is in charge of making sure your body works the way it should. It works by
sending chemical messages through your body to make sure it works efficiently. The Endocrine
system affects pretty much every cell and organ in your body. This system includes every single gland
in your body that makes hormones. These glands include the pituitary gland, parathyroid glands,
adrenal glands, thyroid gland, Pancreas, ovaries in females and testicles in males. These collection of
glands produce and secrete (release) hormones directly into the blood stream. These hormones target
specific cells in an organ, this is to control metabolism, growth and development, tissue function,
sexual function, reproduction, sleep and mood. This is to help the body work the way it is suppose to.

Explain why opposition to Russian Governments was so rarely successful in the period 1855 1954?
Throughout the period 1855 to 1954, opposition to Russian governments was a common occurrence
due to dissatisfaction of many civilians lives and the lack of development seen throughout Russia.
However, as much as there were some successful movements throughout 1905 such as the Bolsheviks
gaining support and eventually gaining power, there were also several failed attempts due to intense
use of violence, terror and censorship by the state. It is arguable that whether opposition was

Chemical Reaction On Chemical Change
Analyzing chemical change
Abstract
Changes can be chemical or physical in nature. If a chemical change is taking place we will be
breaking bonds and forming new bonds and therefore creating a new substance. In a Physical change
we will have the same substance but simply in a new form. (Dickinson et al. 197). In order to collect
evidence to prove a chemical change is occurring we need a change in the indicators. The more active
a chemical is the more likely it will have a chemical reaction with another chemical. (Dickinson et al.
180) The higher the element is on the Activity Series the more reactive it is. (Dickinson et al. 192) A
reactive element will replace an element that is underneath it in the activity series. (Dickinson et al.
192) In this lab we will examine chemical reactions with the activity series, indicators and the type of
chemical reaction it is. The purpose of this lab is to study chemical change and analyze why and how
chemical reactions are created. In this lab we are going to combine certain chemicals with each other
to create a chemical change and we will observe and record any changes. The chemical reactions
listed in the Results had all gone through chemical change and all the indicators have been recorded.
Chemical change is very important and we need to learn more about them because without chemical
change we couldn t perform daily tasks.

The Public Enemy Genre Analysis
To define a film by a certain genre, there are several elements and signatures that a film will display in
order to signify its place amongst the genre. A film from the gangster genre is characterized by
violence and lawlessness of american capitalism and The American Dream. The short lived classical
era of the gangster genre in Hollywood is also greatly influenced by the production code which
manifested the iconic moral narrative of the gangster genre. William A. Wellman s 1931 film The
Public Enemy can be considered a film of the gangster genre when one examines the conflict with the
American dream, the rise and fall of the protagonist Tom Powers, as well as the visual storytelling
employed to support the narrative.

As a film, The Public Enemy explores this relationship between crime and the American dream
through Tom s journey as a bootlegger as he becomes increasingly more violent. This conflict and the
violence is ultimately the reason Tom must die at the end of the film.
Another element of the gangster genre that is seen in Wellman s film is the rise and fall trajectory of
the central gangster protagonist. In order to avoid glamorizing the life of a gangster and his perverted
American Dream, his crimes must be punished. This is a central element to any gangster film created
under the auspices of the production code. To obey the rules and regulation of the PCA, any gangster
in film will live a short but glamorous life..that reaffirms the audience s knowledge that in Hollywood,
lawlessness cannot go unpunished (Køhlert 857). The era under the PCA shaped the narrative of the
gangster genre to include the death of essentially every gangster protagonist. In one of the most
powerful scenes of the film, after Tom has taken revenge on the rival members, he stumbles, shot,
clutching his chest into the raining streets and gutter (The Public Enemy). He is alone, isolated by the
rain, and likely going to die. This is not a character the audience is supposed to sympathize with, and
this is exactly to goal of the gangster genre. After the audience has seen Powers rise through the world
of crime starting as a little boy

Compare And Contrast The Day Of The Dead Vs Halloween
Day of the Dead, Halloween, they re all the same right? Wrong. Although these two holidays are both
in the autumn season, they differentiate in many ways. Day of the Dead is a celebration for the
homecoming of ancestors who have died. In which Halloween is a holiday where people dress up in
costumes and collect candy from complete strangers. Pretty different, trust me I know but to prove it
to you even more, I have 3 reasons why Day of the Dead or Dia Le Los Muertos and Halloween
differentiate; such as, the way they emphasize spirits, colors they use, and the food they eat.
Let s start off with the way each holiday emphasizes spirits. Halloween originated from the Celtic
festival known as Samhain. During this festival, people made bonfires ... Show more content on

Halloween night, kids, and even adults (but not most) go walk around after dark in costumes knocking
on stranger s doors for food. But not any food. Candy. In the medieval times, kids used to knock on
doors and ask for food, money, and ale. Then the food given began a tradition and inherited candy. So
people all ages eat free candy for the whole night. Day of the Dead it s a little different. They feast on
meals, meals in which their ancestors loved, to remember them and keep their presence inside of them.
They eat al pan de muerto (bread of the dead) for the celebration, and usually el mole (spicy chocolate
sauce) because it s a traditional spanish sauce in which a lot of people enjoyed. So as you now know,
Day of the Dead and Halloween differentiate even by the foods they eat.
Day of the Dead, Halloween, they re different right? Yes. They are very different from each other even
though they might have some similarities. There are many more things to compare between the two
holidays, but I just pointed out some of the obvious ones, colors/decorations, food, and the way they

There are some aspects of the game that create an educational learning curve, but the majority is
dependent upon sheer luck .
To win the game syndicates must achieve a profit over the initial $50,000 that they are given. The
game allows for up to 20 transactions to be made per day. This amount is over excessive making
students believe that buying and selling more often is the best way to approach the game. When in
reality the less trading players make the more likely they are to win. Players are only able to invest
less than 25% of their virtual money into one company. Therefore disabling syndicates to invest all

To test these theories, took the liberty to observe the game and playing of a specific syndicate from

The Great Tribulation In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
The tony award winning play The Crucible is a play written by Arthur Miller. The Crucible came to be
in the 1950s, a time where the fear of Communists in the country was rampant and creating
unnecessary chaos through the United States. The hysteria reminded Miller of the Salem Witch Trials,
the setting of the Crucible, where the paranoia of witches among the Puritans sent the town into a
hurricane of chaos, leading to multiple catastrophic and unnecessary deaths. The perfect storm of
brewing conditions launched one of the most foolish, traumatizing events in American history. With
the conditions seen today, another one of these witch hunts is possible in our modern day time period.
In fact, the Bible foretells of one to happen very soon, described as the Great Tribulation. Similar to
the Salem Witch Trials, the Bible foretells of a time when unstable conditions would abound, a certain
group of people would face persecuted, and people will have to confront a moral dilemma similar to
the one presented in the Crucible.
One could be asking the question, What is the Great Tribulation? The Great Tribulation is a period of
time foretold in the Bible. According to JW.org, the Great Tribulation is the end of the system of
things we live in today. How long it will last is unknown, but it will be very severe and something
unlike any event that s happened today, as seen in Matthew 24:21. To emphasize the severity of the
event, the article describes its seriousness by looking at

  • 2. Types Of Missing Teeth And Fabrication Of Partial Or... Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016 Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth, and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements, within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a predetermined fixed relationship. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Breakdown Of The Titanic Disaster Titanic Imagine going on what is supposed to be a magnificent vacation, but turns out to be a horrendous disaster. The titanic was the biggest man made ship and was supposed to be an unsinkable ship. Work began in 1909 in the massive Harland and Wolff yard. Titanic continued nonstop until the spring of 1911. There was peace and the world had an even tenor to its way. Nothing was revealed the morning the trend of which was not known the night before. It seems to me the disaster about to occur was the event that not only made the world rub it s eyes and awake but woke it with a start keeping it moving at a rapidly accelerating pace ever since with less and less peace, satisfaction, and happiness. To my mind the world of today awoke April 15, 1912. Jack B. Thayer a titanic survivor. There were many flaws in the design of the titanic. The titanic was doomed from the start because of the design. In fact the water tight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There was flushing toilets in the third class, but no flushing toilets in the first or second class areas, which is really surprising. Although third class had flushing toilets first and second class had libraries, a smoking room for men, and reading and writing rooms for women. Also the third class area had a piano, which was fancy back then. The first class had three electric elevators and the second class had one electric elevator and to complete that they had people that were called operators. In the end the titanic would have been a great ship if it didn t have so many fatal flaws. The iceberg that the titanic hit was approximated at fifty to one hundred feet high and two hundred to four hundred feet long. I thought it would be a safe steamship, and I had heard it would not sink. Margaret Devaney a titanic survivor. Everybody thought that it was the unsinkable ship but as everyone knows it wasn t. • 4. Why Is Flagellation Should Be Allowed In Schools As I was growing up, my mom would tell me stories when they would use the wooden paddle in school. She would tell me that they would spank her friends when they would behave bad. She also told me that there was this kid they spanked so hard that they heard the kid sobbing and squealing. Flagellation should be allowed in some schools, because some kids don t have respect or manners in school and by that they should learn by getting paddled. Because some parents don t punish their kids and that s what makes kids behave bad and they have to learn by getting paddled. And I think that it would help some parents by straightening their kids up a little. The reason they should do this again in schools is because some kids don t have the respect they ... • 8. A Brief Note On Karl Marx And The Capitalist System 1. According to Karl Marx, the proletariats are the people who are most exploited by the capitalist system. They are the workers that work for the boss that owns the means of production (194). The employers own the means of production and therefore make the rules. Leaving room for exploitation. It is the working class that makes up the proletariat faction of society. The working class makes up about 30 percent of the total population and includes individuals that, in part, work as electricians, unskilled factory and construction workers, and retail workers (194). Individuals of the working class are also affected by what Karl Marx refers to as Work Alienation. Work Alienation is an outcome job holders face when they lose control over either the work process, the product of their labor, or both (194). Generally, this means a lack of satisfaction in their jobs and what they do. Work Alienation occurs when only simple mundane tasks are required of workers. A good example of this is factory jobs. With the rise of technology, less and less work is being required of workers and machinery is taking on most of the responsibility. Often leaving workers to only do simple tasks or preform button pushing work. Marx described this phenomenon as man becoming an appendage of the machine (194). 2. The working class has a very unique set of cultural, human and social capital. As usually is the case, cultural capital is passed down through family members and close ... • 9. A Good Number Of Films Produced By Tim Burton Prompt... On the surface, a good number of films produced by Tim Burton prompt similar themes of dark satire and grisly outcomes. However, throughout the progress of the film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, I found my initial impressions of the typically grim director to be baseless and skewed. From being introduced to songs like No Place Like London and my personal favorite, A Little Priest, to the surreal interpretation of lust, loss, and revenge; Burton s establishes his take on mischief, malice, and meat pies through each individual scene and character development. Moreover, each musical number complements not only the twist and turns of the plot, but also each character s respective personalities. The reinterpretation of what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After returning to the place that gave him hurt, Sweeney Todd outs two scam artists, one of them named Adolfo, who are selling a potion to a cure for hair loss and defeats them in a shaving competition. The song at this arc that stands out the most is The Contest, not because it is centered on this scenario, but because the visionaries of the play and film adaption did an excellent job in portraying the times of penny dreadfuls. This is also where we get to see a contrast between characters Todd vs. Adolfo. Coincidentally, Adolfo had previously worked for Sweeney Todd and attempted to blackmail him, but was eventually murdered by Todd. Sweeney Todd s friend Anthony, the boy who accompanied him on the ship back to London, informs Todd of his plan to elope with Todd s daughter, Johanna, which places him in direct competition with Judge Turpin for Johanna s hand in marriage. Judge Turpin finally finds his way into the clutches of Sweeney Todd, but before Todd can exact his revenge, his friend Anthony reveals his plan to elope with Johanna. Judge Turpin storms out and Sweeney Todd drives Anthony from the premises in a fit of rage. Sweeney Todd suddenly takes a mass murderous turn and decides that all people deserve to die: the wealthy for their sins and corruption and the poor to be taken out of their misery. • 11. The Healthcare Industry of America; An investigative look... The Healthcare Industry of America: An investigative look at HMO s It s no secret that Health Maintenance Organizations, known as HMO s, have made healthcare affordable for many Americans, but at what risks? Most employers offer some type of health care plan that is an HMO. Let s face it, given the choice among insurance coverage through your employer, in which he pays half the costs, or acquiring private insurance coverage outside your employer, most Americans choose to go with employer provided HMO s. Why then, has there been so much controversy with HMO s? An HMO is an organization whereby the subscriber, or patient, is allowed to choose a medical provider from a list of doctors within a certain medical group. Each physician ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This process could take weeks due to cumbersome paperwork and the limited number of specialist per each group or health plan. Again, many doctors only accept these plans to supplement their practices. It is common for them to stop accepting your HMO after only a few years which leaves the patient a choice of either paying cash, or changing doctors or insurance companies. One can see why this might be a frustrating process. Managed care reduces cost by keeping a pool of doctors and specialist to a minimum, and at the same time keeping the volume of patients high. This often means that a patient may not receive the same amount of attention and care as they should, or were accustomed to. Consumers have long grumbled that HMO s have done too much too keep health costs down by stinting on patient care.(1). Healthcare expenditures have more than doubled since 1965. Americans spend over a trillion dollars a year on health care. (2). As of 1996, 110 million Americans were enrolled in HMO s. They are best known for their skates but after acquiring multiple companies they have expanded into manufacturing wide range of equipment from skates to hockey sticks. The company has expanded to new levels and now has the face of many NHL stars to represent their brand. For an athlete to stay relevant in their sport they have to adapt and get better year after year. It is the same for a worker, once they are not up to date on everything they need to know they became more of a liability for the company. This is because they are not as efficient as another work who would be up to date and could replace them. This is the same for manufactures of products, the product they are selling must be the best or top of the line so that it is appealing to the consumers. Another big part of issues manufactures have is that they need to have more than one version of the product. • 13. Ancient Grecian Theatre In Ancient Greece In the Grecian Golden Age, Greece made many advances in the sciences, philosophy, and the arts. One of their greatest achievements was in drama. Ancient Grecian theatre was hugely important to the Greeks. The ideas found in their plays influenced the common way of thinking. The actual theatre structures were spaces for architects and sculptors of the time to show off their superb talent. Modern historians studying the ruins and ancient texts of Greece frequently come across the fingerprint that theatre left, evidence of which can still be seen today in modern Greece. One of the most obvious displays of theatre s impact on Greece is in the magnificent ruins of ancient structures. Most of the ruins of ancient Grecian theatres that survive to this day are from no earlier than fourth century BC. This is because there was a transition from the usage of wood in building theatres to using stone at that time, which allowed the structures to be much more well preserved. Even the ruins show that an extreme amount of artistry and mathematical skill was necessary in the construction of these ancient structures. For instance, because of the lack of amplifying technology in ancient Greece, the theatres were constructed with the aim of natural supplementation of sound in the way of acoustics. It is quite a feat when the people in the back row of some twenty thousand people can hear the actors without the need of yelling and without any means of unnatural magnification. Cause they had a taste of freedom, they had a taste of making their own money, a taste of spending their own money, making their own decisions. I think the beginning of the women s movement had its seeds right there in World War Two. President Franklin D. Roosevelt s quote clearly illustrates the significance of women in the workforce during World War Two and the feelings women may have felt. World War II was crucial for women in the workforce because it was the first time the government needed women in the workforce to replace men in their jobs, while they were away at war. Although, women had some involvement in the First Great War, there was no greater demand for women to the workforce then during World War Two. Although women played a crucial role in the successes of the Second Great War, society had varying opinions and outlooks revolving around women s involvement in the workforce. Not everyone was supportive of women s involvement in the labor force because of the stereotypes formed many years previous to World War II regarding women being simply homemakers and working only in their homes, or very seldom as secretaries. This view of women caused many problems for women in the workforce and it continues to be a problem for women today. It is evident while looking at this particular time in history, that there were varying views of women being a part of the workforce; it is clear that there are people who thought ... • 33. Acute Pancreatitis The Endocrine system is in charge of making sure your body works the way it should. It works by sending chemical messages through your body to make sure it works efficiently. The Endocrine system affects pretty much every cell and organ in your body. This system includes every single gland in your body that makes hormones. These glands include the pituitary gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, thyroid gland, Pancreas, ovaries in females and testicles in males. These collection of glands produce and secrete (release) hormones directly into the blood stream. These hormones target specific cells in an organ, this is to control metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep and mood. This is to help the body work the way it is suppose to. This leads to multiple chemical reactions that cause inflammation on the Pancreas. This is what happens during Acute Pancreatitis. The consequences that acute pancreatitis has on your body is very serious. It can lead to multi organ damage/failure. Really bad cases of Acute Pancreatitis can lead to hypovolemiv shock which is a condition where the liquid portion of your blood (plasma) is too low, Severe blood and fluid loss can leave the heart not being able to pump through enough blood to your body and parts of your body could possible become oxygen deprived (low in ... • 34. Explain why opposition to Russian Governments was so... Explain why opposition to Russian Governments was so rarely successful in the period 1855 1954? Throughout the period 1855 to 1954, opposition to Russian governments was a common occurrence due to dissatisfaction of many civilians lives and the lack of development seen throughout Russia. However, as much as there were some successful movements throughout 1905 such as the Bolsheviks gaining support and eventually gaining power, there were also several failed attempts due to intense use of violence, terror and censorship by the state. It is arguable that whether opposition was successful, merely came down to the strength of the opposition group or the weakness of the government in power. • 35. Chemical Reaction On Chemical Change Analyzing chemical change Abstract Changes can be chemical or physical in nature. If a chemical change is taking place we will be breaking bonds and forming new bonds and therefore creating a new substance. In a Physical change we will have the same substance but simply in a new form. (Dickinson et al. 197). In order to collect evidence to prove a chemical change is occurring we need a change in the indicators. The more active a chemical is the more likely it will have a chemical reaction with another chemical. (Dickinson et al. 180) The higher the element is on the Activity Series the more reactive it is. (Dickinson et al. 192) A reactive element will replace an element that is underneath it in the activity series. (Dickinson et al. 192) In this lab we will examine chemical reactions with the activity series, indicators and the type of chemical reaction it is. The purpose of this lab is to study chemical change and analyze why and how chemical reactions are created. In this lab we are going to combine certain chemicals with each other to create a chemical change and we will observe and record any changes. The chemical reactions listed in the Results had all gone through chemical change and all the indicators have been recorded. Chemical change is very important and we need to learn more about them because without chemical change we couldn t perform daily tasks. A film from the gangster genre is characterized by violence and lawlessness of american capitalism and The American Dream. The short lived classical era of the gangster genre in Hollywood is also greatly influenced by the production code which manifested the iconic moral narrative of the gangster genre. William A. As a film, The Public Enemy explores this relationship between crime and the American dream through Tom s journey as a bootlegger as he becomes increasingly more violent. This conflict and the violence is ultimately the reason Tom must die at the end of the film. Another element of the gangster genre that is seen in Wellman s film is the rise and fall trajectory of the central gangster protagonist. In order to avoid glamorizing the life of a gangster and his perverted American Dream, his crimes must be punished. This is a central element to any gangster film created under the auspices of the production code. To obey the rules and regulation of the PCA, any gangster in film will live a short but glamorous life..that reaffirms the audience s knowledge that in Hollywood, lawlessness cannot go unpunished (Køhlert 857). The era under the PCA shaped the narrative of the gangster genre to include the death of essentially every gangster protagonist. In one of the most powerful scenes of the film, after Tom has taken revenge on the rival members, he stumbles, shot, clutching his chest into the raining streets and gutter (The Public Enemy). He is alone, isolated by the rain, and likely going to die. This is not a character the audience is supposed to sympathize with, and this is exactly to goal of the gangster genre. • 37. Compare And Contrast The Day Of The Dead Vs Halloween Day of the Dead, Halloween, they re all the same right? Wrong. Although these two holidays are both in the autumn season, they differentiate in many ways. Day of the Dead is a celebration for the homecoming of ancestors who have died. In which Halloween is a holiday where people dress up in costumes and collect candy from complete strangers. Pretty different, trust me I know but to prove it to you even more, I have 3 reasons why Day of the Dead or Dia Le Los Muertos and Halloween differentiate; such as, the way they emphasize spirits, colors they use, and the food they eat. Let s start off with the way each holiday emphasizes spirits. Halloween originated from the Celtic festival known as Samhain. During this festival, people made bonfires ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Halloween night, kids, and even adults (but not most) go walk around after dark in costumes knocking on stranger s doors for food. But not any food. Candy. In the medieval times, kids used to knock on doors and ask for food, money, and ale. Then the food given began a tradition and inherited candy. So people all ages eat free candy for the whole night. Day of the Dead it s a little different. They feast on meals, meals in which their ancestors loved, to remember them and keep their presence inside of them. They eat al pan de muerto (bread of the dead) for the celebration, and usually el mole (spicy chocolate sauce) because it s a traditional spanish sauce in which a lot of people enjoyed. So as you now know, Day of the Dead and Halloween differentiate even by the foods they eat. Day of the Dead, Halloween, they re different right? Yes. There are some aspects of the game that create an educational learning curve, but the majority is dependent upon sheer luck . To win the game syndicates must achieve a profit over the initial $50,000 that they are given. The game allows for up to 20 transactions to be made per day. This amount is over excessive making students believe that buying and selling more often is the best way to approach the game. When in reality the less trading players make the more likely they are to win. Players are only able to invest less than 25% of their virtual money into one company. Therefore disabling syndicates to invest all $50,000 into a sole company. • 39. The Great Tribulation In The Crucible By Arthur Miller The tony award winning play The Crucible is a play written by Arthur Miller. The Crucible came to be in the 1950s, a time where the fear of Communists in the country was rampant and creating unnecessary chaos through the United States. The hysteria reminded Miller of the Salem Witch Trials, the setting of the Crucible, where the paranoia of witches among the Puritans sent the town into a hurricane of chaos, leading to multiple catastrophic and unnecessary deaths. The perfect storm of brewing conditions launched one of the most foolish, traumatizing events in American history. With the conditions seen today, another one of these witch hunts is possible in our modern day time period. In fact, the Bible foretells of one to happen very soon, described as the Great Tribulation. Similar to the Salem Witch Trials, the Bible foretells of a time when unstable conditions would abound, a certain group of people would face persecuted, and people will have to confront a moral dilemma similar to the one presented in the Crucible. One could be asking the question, What is the Great Tribulation? The Great Tribulation is a period of time foretold in the Bible. According to JW.org, the Great Tribulation is the end of the system of things we live in today. How long it will last is unknown, but it will be very severe and something unlike any event that s happened today, as seen in Matthew 24:21.
