Visit http://www.techsoup.org for donated technology for nonprofits and libraries!
Libraries are an integral part of digital inclusion and technology training in communities across the United States. GCFLearnFree.org and DigitalLearn.org are two resources that provide free digital literacy and technology training tutorials that can be used by library staff to assist patrons.
Watch this free webinar to learn what these sites have to offer, and to gain ideas for integrating these resources into library services and programming:
-- GCFLearnFree.org has over 100 free digital literacy tutorials available, including topics in Computer Basics, Windows, Mobile Devices, Social Media, Online Banking, and Microsoft Office. We’ll discuss various ways libraries around the country have used GCFLearnFree.org in their programs and with their patrons.
-- DigitalLearn.org fosters the work of libraries and community organizations as they work to increase digital literacy across the nation, and includes a growing collection of self-directed tutorials for library users to learn basic technology skills. DigitalLearn.org also hosts a community of practice for digital literacy trainers to share resources, tools and best practices.
