Dear Bassem,
Congratulations on your new role within Vanderbilt University Medical Center! I am pleased to offer you the Medical
Assistant-GI (Sign On Bonus Available To Eligible Candidates)* position in the GI Clinical department within
Vanderbilt University Medical Centereffective 07/02/2023. Your compensation will be $22.56 paid Hourly.
Medical Assistants must have and maintain a certification from one of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center
approved MA programs within 120 days of employment. If you do not achieve certification you may apply for and
secure another position, for which you are fully qualified, or employment will end on the 120th day.
By accepting this full-time offer of employment, you will be eligible for a taxable signing bonus of $5,000.00 paid to
you with 1/2 ($2,500) after 90 days of employment and the other 1/2 ($2,500) at 12 months of service. Your payout
will be reviewed prior to payment to ensure you meet all requirements and are in good standing within your current
role. Once your eligibility is confirmed it may take up to an additional 2-4 weeks to appear in your regular paycheck.
You also agree to repay a prorated amount of this signing bonus if you resign from this full-time position within 12
months from your hire date. The repayment may be deducted in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
This offer and your continued active employment status are contingent upon your eligibility to work under the
provisions of all applicable immigration laws and regulations including the Immigration Reform and Control Act of
1986, as amended, and your providing the necessary documents to establish identity and employment eligibility to
satisfactorily complete U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Form I-9. This offer is also contingent upon your
successful completion of all required pre-employment checks, which we and our vendors will work with you to
