By: PABLO GONZÁLEZ
What relationship can objects
have with each other?Explain
and give an example
Proximity: our perception visually unites
elements that are physically close to one
another.
Similarity: when observing images, we group
similar images together as if they were
one.
Continuity: elements arranged in the same
direction normally create a simple form.
What items feature in our
visual public enviroment?Give
an example of visual
contamination
 The enviroment is everything around us:
our neighbourhood, town, city, residence,
parks…
 The feature in our visual public enviroment
are; contrast and homogeneity.
What are the stages involved
in the communication
process?
 People, speak different languages, but
when we use images, we communicate in
a way that everyone can understand. This
is the communication process.
Give an example of each of the following:
graphic and visual media, audio-visual
media and sound media. Write down one
characteristic typical of each.
 Graphic and visual media: for example
press, is a means of mass communication.
 Audio- visual media: for example
television, many advertisement are made
for sound (audio) and graphic(visual).
Sound media: for example radio, uses radio
electric waves to send its messages.
Draw a character (or get on from Internet)
with different-shaped speech bubbles or
balloons. In each one, add the words.
"Where are you going?". Briefly explain the
different effects that each type of bubble
makes.

Look for a Nike logo in the links
and express what it transmits in
your opinion.
 This logo trasmits energy and force.
 Aswell vitality and agility.
Look for three images that we
may perceive differently if we
take them out of context.
He is drinking a
beer with his
girlfriend.
They are drinking
because, they
did sports.
He is drinking
because is
thirsty.
Look at the comic and say
which types of shots are the
different pannels.
This comic have full-figure shot because, they appeare
complete in the image. Also, appeare medium full shot
because, they are painted only middle body.
LINES AND TEXTURES
What is a realistic drawing?
How do we use lines in this
type of drawing?
 A realistic image is used to achieve
realism plastic elements, is similar to the
element shown.
 The line is the ideal element to represent
shapes. In realistic drawings, the line is
used to portray the appearance of
shapes, exactly as we see them.
A line is an expressive element.
What messages do different
types of line transmit? Draw
diagrams to go with your
explanation.
Straight lines
Curved lines
Irregular lines
Irregular straight lines
Irregular curved lines
What are visual textures?
Name three of them.
 When we talk about visual texture, we
mean a textures are called graphic
textures when they are found on paper
surfaces or in photographs. Ornamental
texture, accidental texture and
mechanical texture.
How can you use texture to
organise and balance a
composition?
To balance: Using texture, we can make
one shape seem to weigh more than
another.
To organise: Textures can be organised so
that similar
