Primate Behavior In King Kong
For my journal I will be talking about the 2005 movie King Kong. I will be giving a little synopsis
over it and also give an analysis on the primate behavior and how I think we are related. The movie
starts off in New york where a sketchy movie director wanting to make a movie but ends up taking a
different route. The director sets for sail with his crew and an actress he just picked off of the side of
the streets. With not much of a plan and him being wanted by police the captain plans on stopping the
trip but just ends up at skull island. Not knowing much about the island, they end up facing the people
of the island a big beast known as kong, and many other dangerous creatures. Not only did they end
up in a sketchy situation but Ann the only lady in the crew gets kidnapped by the natives and is human
sacrifice to Kong. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not knowing much of each other on how to act, the two ends up becoming close and kong turns out to
be a big guardian to the Ann. The two builds a bond that no one would understand except them
because kong is known as a beast. Still being away from the rest of the crew, the crew tries to find and
get Ann back not knowing all the dangerous encounters they had to face. The movie director again has
his own plans with kong, so as they try to rescue Ann he also ends up luring and capturing Kong. The
director then brought Kong back to New York where he plans to make a show out of Kong, by
reenacting the scenes of kong and Ann s encounters. Of course things turns out bad when Kong gets
crazy and escapes trying to look for Ann. The two meet again where they run off in the city and Kong
carries Ann up the empire state building where he then gets surrounded and killed by

Animal Welfare Campaign Should Be Banned
Every year, over billions of innocent animals, are dying, poisoned, and killed as a result of million
experiments that are tested on them. These new experiments are not hundred percent guaranteed.
However, these experiences may work with animals and give positive results, but when it tests back
on the human, it gives the opposite results. The animal welfare campaign finds that testing new
products on animals is an inhuman and a cruel thing and it should be stopped. So, they start making
attacks around the world telling people how these experiments are dangerous and harmful to the
animals and show them how these animals suffer when it affects them negatively. As a result of these
campaigns, a significant number of people stopped buying products that are tested on animals such as
makeup, face masks, lotions, and various kinds of medicines. Likewise, there are many kinds of food
are tested on animals. Therefore, many people decided to become vegetarians. Consequently, testing
new food, medical, and beauty products on animals is unnecessary due to the differences between
animals and human genes, the harmful effects on animals, and the alternative methods for testing new
products that take the place of animals.
Human beings and animals are very different creatures from each other which lead to poor results in
these tests. To clarify, the metabolic, cellular, and the genes in animals are not the same in human
beings which make the animals poor models for the human. Moreover,

Making A Bottle Rocket
Making the bottle rockets was a very tedious task, for it required a lot of patience. If my partner and I
were to make another rocket, there are a few changes we would make. First of all, we would make our
rocket lighter by removing some of the materials from the payload. By doing this, the rocket would be
able to stay in the air for longer. Also, we would improve the parachute by making it stronger. To do
this, we would need to tape it better and make it sturdier. This will make the deployment easier which
will make the rocket stay in the air longer. We would make all of these improvements so that our
rocket would stay in the air longer without breaking the egg when it hit the ground. Although our
bottle rocket could have had some improvements,

Personal Statement On The American Cancer Society
. Jettowyne, (The Compassionate Friends, 2011, November 4), stated, Friends don t want to say your
child s name, because they think it will make you feel bad . Being open and asking or commenting on
the child is essential in the healing process and showing support.
Other important ways to comfort a friend is by acknowledging the child s death. Crying with the
parent(s). Being available for additional childcare or rides to the funeral home. It is also important to
respect each parent s grief process.
The American Cancer Society (2015) reports some key ways to assist a friend when they are grieving:
Acknowledge the situation. Example: I heard that your_____ died. Use the word died That will show
that you are more open to talk about how the person really feels.
Express your concern. Example: I m sorry to hear that this happened to you.
Be genuine in your communication and don t hide your feelings. Example: I m not sure what to say,
but I want you to know I care.
Offer your support. Example: Tell me what I can do for you.
Ask how he or she feels, and don t assume you know how the bereaved person feels on any given day.
Being a good listener and being there is very comforting to a person in grief. Giving reassurance and
showing empathy are also key in helping a friend in need. This may be done by going on errands for
them, offering to do housework, shopping or bringing over food dishes. In addition, it is important to
remember that grieving parents may

The Deer Hunter Analysis
The Deer Hunter is a Vietnam war film directed by Michael Cimino released in 1978. It tracks the
lives of lifelong friends in a small town before and after three of them go to Vietnam. The main male
characters that go to Vietnam are Michael, Nick, and Steven. The beginning of the film shows the kind
of friendship they have with one another before becoming a soldier using up about an hour of
screentime. The middle of the film shows what they went through during the war, the last part of the
film was used to show how they were affected in their lives. What most likely influenced the film like
the many other war films at the time was the relatively recent end of the Vietnam war.
The setting of the film was realistic never did I think while watching that this was something that
wouldn t have happened. The atmosphere suggested that Pennsylvania was a quiet place free from
trouble, while Vietnam was a place full of mayhem and temptations. There was one very blatant
symbol used to foreshadow the events to come. The cups that Steven and his wife drank out of that if
not a single drop was spilled would be good luck for the rest of their lives.
The camera work of the film was executed well. The close ups helped to build the tension during the
Russian roulette scenes. There were very scenic wide shots of the mountains during hunting scenes
that helped contrast the intense scenes of the movie by making those scenes more intense when we see
them because of how tranquil much of the movie

Sprint And T-Mobile Merger Analysis
Many companies in the United States are struggling to survive. These companies are experiencing
significant decreases in revenue, reduced assets, and increases in liabilities. Companies that already
filed, or are at risk for filing bankruptcy are struggling with keeping up with their competitors, causing
the companies to lose their value. When a company files for bankruptcy, the company no longer gets
to make the business decisions. The bankruptcy courts begin to make the decisions for the companies
in efforts to restore the businesses. If the company is unable to revive itself from bankruptcy status,
the company goes out of business. If this occurs, the company must sell everything it owns in order to

The Theory Of Management As A Science
Management as a science
Science is the process of getting things done in correct order. It is the way of coordinating and
gathering information s of day to day knowledge, and used knowledge to formulate rules, law of
principles. In National Humanities Centre (2005, P. 2)
As per Weber, (1975) bosses of nineteenth and twentieth century saw no requirement for social
fulfillment on occupation. In office and shop, their posted approaches every now and again prohibit
mingling , unmoving tattle, or conspiratorial meeting. Experimental administration master exhorted
chiefs to regard individuals as individual piece rate motivating force pay to urge every worker to
deliver to his greatest.
Under experimental administration the activity of laborer (that is, their work, their positive attitude,
and their creativity) is acquired with outright consistency and a more prominent degree than is
conceivable under the old framework; and notwithstanding the change with respect to the men, the
director expects new weights, new obligations, and obligations never longed for before. The director

been controlled by the laborers and the ordering, classifying, and lessening this information to

Essay on Drugs and Rock and Roll
Drugs and Rock and Roll Beginning with the late 1960 s counterculture in San Francisco, music and
drugs will forever be inter linked. Hippie bands such as the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, and
Phish are associated with marijuana, mushrooms, and LSD. Modern electronic rave , or club music is
associated with MDMA or Ecstasy. When one thinks of rock and roll, sex and drugs immediately
come to mind. While the use of drugs is not essential for the creation or performance of all new music,
it was certainly in important factor for the counterculture music of the late 1960 s. While some of the
most important and influential music was made with the help of psychoactive drugs, it was often to
the detriment of the artist. Janis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Psychedelics, and drugs in general became such an important part of life during the 60 s that it s
influence was inescapable. Nowhere can this fact be seen more clearly than in the music of the time.
The most obvious influence drugs had on music can bee seen in the lyrics. Drug references abound, be
it Jimi Hendrix s Purple Haze of marijuana smoke, or the Beatles Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ,
obviously referring to LSD. Even the names of the bands were drug inspired, as Garofalo points out in
reference to the Doors: The group took it s name from Aldous Huxley s The Doors of Perception, a
book about the liberating aspects of drug use. Even the music itself was influenced by drugs. Take for
example much of the music by the Doors. Their song the End is a psychedelic journey in to the world
of LSD. The slow beat and trippy music in the song was probably created with the use of drugs and
hence is better appreciated when heard while on drugs. This is also true of the music of the Grateful
Dead, although this can be much more clearly seen in their live performances as opposed to their
studio work. Much of their music is geared specifically toward those in the audience who are on
drugs. Hearing one of their 30 minute jams is a much different experience on drugs, and that is the
experience that they intended the audience to have. While drugs were very much connected to the
music of the sixties,

Internal Domain Name System for Company
Internal Domain Name System for Company Alpha Introduction The DNS is a vital Internet
component providing mechanisms for resolving host names into IP addresses and vice versa. In
addition, DNS supports other Internet directories concerning DNS name servers and mail exchangers
among others (Garfinkel Spafford, 1997). Despite being a universally accepted and widely used
system, insecure protocols and lack of authentication among other factors within the DNS threaten
proper functionality of the DNS. Moreover, the accuracy of the information contained within the DNS
is vital to many aspects of IP based communications. Domain Model for the Organization The domain
appropriate for this organization is the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND). This domain name is
selected since it compatible with most operating systems including UNIX; it is also used by most
Internet Service Providers (Stevens, 1990). In addition, BIND is recommended for the firm since its
configuration files are easier to maintain than other server DNSs such as Sendmail (Terry, Painter,
Riggle, Zhou, 1984). Using this DNS, cache only name servers are easily placed strategically within
the internal network to remove unwanted traffic and expensive WAN links. Moreover, BIND supports
DNS SEC, TSIG IPv4 among other DNS protocol enhancements. Given the popularity of BIND, it is
often targeted by hackers. Therefore, limiting zone transfers to slave name servers and limiting
transfer in the zone can reduce the

1) I would utilize my Techno Beams #701 thru #704 with some yellow color at almost its full intensity

The Media Access Control Address
1. Introduction
Media Access control address is a permanent/fixed address which is assigned to every hardware
device connected to a network (wireless adapter, network interface card etc.) by the hardware
manufacturer. Every device on a network has an ip address, IP is an internet protocol which give
unique identity to the devices at network layer. IP address can be frequently changed. One the other
side, MAC addresses are permanent and they work at layer 2 (data link layer). MAC Address is also
known as hardware address or physical address of a device. Changing of MAC address may allow the
bypassing of access control list of router/servers by hiding the computer/device on a network or
allowing it to deceive another network devices. This is called the spoofing of MAC Address. The
media address control spoofing does not mean that we can write the new Mac on the chipset of
network interface card but the Mac spoofing is the way to change MAC details of physical
configuration of the operating system. Spoofing is used to hiding the original machine which sent the
data, this can be done to avoid original machine address or to make it undetectable. For the safety
reasons we don t want to show the original address of the machine which send the data , because
hackers ,viruses etc. can target our machines by knowing the original MAC addresses. MAC spoofing
is one of the biggest threat for cybercrime investigation agencies, in this today s world there is no

Non Substance Disorder Support Group Meeting
Having thought about which non substance disorder support group meeting I would like to attend, I
originally choose Sex Addicts Anonymous (SA) because I knew someone decades ago who became a
member, and knowing the person well, I have been curious about the meetings for some time now.
However, the SA meetings are closed, in retrospect this makes sense for a variety of reasons, and since
I could not tell them that I considered myself to qualify as a sex addict, I had to make another choice.
My next choice was an Overeaters Anonymous meeting because there was one at the Atonement
Church, of which I am familiar. Once again plans changed, and I was destined to arrive at the
Wyomissing Church of the Brethren at 2200 State Hill Road. Consequently, this was a Wednesday
evening meeting at 5:15 p.m. I live across from Centre Park in Town and I got stuck in an obscene
amount of traffic trying to get on the Warren Street Bypass. At one point, I figured that I maybe could
turn around and try the Thursday OE meeting at Atonement because I was getting so anxious worrying
where exactly I had to go, and if I would walk in late, and this I definitely did not want to do.
Deciding to press on, I pulled into the parking lot at 5:17, so I continued into what I presumed to be
the front lobby. There were signs strewn about regarding community meetings and such, but nothing
about OE specifically, and no signs of life. Thankfully, my meeting instincts kicked in, and I stood

to learn from life experiences and events that go on around us. We not only learn about how to become
successful in life instead we learn how to make a living as we encounter new individuals and new life
lessons that teach us whether how to cook, clean, or even how to do math. A person cannot only be
educated if they have a degree instead we all are educated in some unique manner whether it is to sew,
draw, sing, or even as a doctor which helps us complete our given task. School is an institution created
to discipline and educate students in order to become more knowledgeable. Many individuals in
history and even people now attend school as it has become a crucial part in our society just like how
other places such as hospitals and stores have in order to meet the needs of the society s members.
Many individuals believe that school is not an essential aspect in life that helps one grow because of
how they are being educated, in which John Gatto is one of them as well. Even though no school is the
best for everyone, it is still needed to help an individual grow emotionally, intellectual, and socially
into a contributing member of society.
Gatto is the author of the article,

Downsizing Strategies and Its Effects
Introduction
Companies that faced a decrease in sales, market share, or profits in the 1980s and early 1990s began
to realize that their human resources were expensive and underutilized. To become more competitive,
companies made strategic decision to gradually lower their payroll numbers. (Anthony, Kacmar
Perrewe al, 2002:434) Downsizing has become a critical issue around the world. Downsizing and
mass lay offs are happening not only on US companies but also organizations in the entire industrial
world. The number of organizations and jobs affected by downsizing has been staggering. In 1993, in
an unending quest for lower costs, higher productivity, and fatter profits, American firms announced
615,000 jobs cut, and all time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such corporate measures will be related to profitability, productivity, investment returns, customer
satisfaction ratings, etc. While these measures may suggest that a downsizing process has had a
negative impact on those who survive as employees in the organization, they can only serve to
highlight the presence of psychological and behavioural consequences for survivors. (Thornhill,
Saunders, 1998:273 4)
Why do firm downsize?
A diversity of reasons can be lead to the decision of downsize. Organization and employees are being
force to adapt to an environment characterized by augmented competition, government deregulation
and technological evolution. (Internet Material #7) (Refer to Appendix 1 for most common reasons of
restructuring) It can increase productivity, the value of the companies¡¯ shares and the profits by
reducing the number of employees per unit. Companies downsize to cut cost, improve efficiency and
to maintain a profit level acceptable to their shareholders. Other reasons include reorganization,
minimizing bureaucracy, eliminating excess, business downturns, mergers, and acquisitions.
(Makawatsukul Kleiner, 2003:52) Downsizing has become strategic decision by systematically reduce

Motor Neure Disease
What it affects
The French Neurologist Jean Martin Charcot first discovered motor neurone disease MND in 1874.
Motor function is controlled by the upper motor neurones in the brain that descend to the spinal cord,
these neurones activate lower motor neurones. The lower motor neurones exit the spinal cord and
directly activate muscles. With no nerves to activate them, muscles gradually weaken and waste.
MND can affect a person s ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The muscles first affected tend
to be those in the hands, feet and mouth, dependent on which type of the disease you are diagnosed
with.
MND does not usually affect the senses sight, sound, touch or the bladder and bowel. Some people
may experience changes in thinking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cure, and therapies
The MND Association funds and promotes research that leads us to new understanding and
treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND. But unfortunately there are No known cure or
therapies. People living with and affected by MND tell us that progressing research and increasing our
understanding of MND to find effective treatments and a cure is the key priority for them.
If your doctor feels you may have a neurological problem he will refer you to your local neurology
department where you will be seen by a neurologist. You may then be sent for a series of diagnostic
tests, which are usually performed as outpatient tests. Occasionally you may be admitted to hospital
and the tests carried out while you are

Moana Film Analysis
There are some concepts that I want to explain that were in the movie. First is how the Social Class
works for the Polynesian people. Moana is the direct bloodline of the chief for her tribe. She is next in
line to rule after her dad passes it on to her. The Social class for her people is the Gods, Tribal Chief,
Princess, and the people. Their people are very humbled and honored to have a great tradition of
chiefs and history throughout time, and Moana is next in line. Her father tries to lead by example and
guides her through the process. But Moana wants to travel the seas and become a way finder. Like in
most Polynesian culture, traveling the seas was exploring other far away islands near their islands. In
the Pacific Ocean there are over ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My second concept is Power and the direct connection it has with the ancestors of Moana s people.
For generations her family has had the power to control what goes on in the reef. Thousands of years
ago, Polynesian people were architects at traveling the seas. Finding new land and providing new
voyages for their people. Over time they found New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, and many other small
islands. In Moana she is the direct bloodline and a leader of her people, so voyaging is part of their
culture. But her father oppressed her not to travel the seas, and never leave the reef. No one went past
the barrier reef, not even the chief himself. In Polynesian culture they travel by boat. Over time many
Polynesians were scattered throughout the Pacific Ocean. In Polynesian culture they take pride in
traveling the seas and following their ancestors footsteps. Because of an unfortunate event that
happened to the chief he uses his power to oppress his daughter from leaving. Or at least he tried.
Another character that uses his power and is the direct cause for the islands to die is Maui. Who is a
demi god blessed by the Sea Gods to bring happiness to the world? Since he is Immortal and can t die,
Maui has the power to fix anything. But he does something daring which caused Te fiti the God of
Creation to be angry and destroys beautiful islands like Moana s. Teka the Lava god which is Te fiti s
alternate personality uses her power to vanquish anything in her path. She is mostly upset at Maui for
using his powers and being selfish. He loses his magic staff and become useless. As the story moves
on, Moana was chosen by the sea gods as a little girl to save her home and land. Even though she
needed every bit of help from Maui and others, but she accomplished them with little to no power at
all. She did trust her instincts and believing in herself even when things weren t going right. The gods
are shown in the

Serving Mentally Ill Prison Populations
The United States has the highest rate of adult incarceration among the developed countries, with 2.2
million currently in jails. In the last three decades those with mental disorders have been increasing
more rapidly than the courts would like, which could be the result of the deinstitutionalization of the
state mental health system.
What Are the Services Provided by Mental Health Courts?
The mental health system focuses primarily on the treatment of illnesses, public health, and harm
reduction. The courts attempt to purview each system so that they can fulfill its duty and produce the
best outcomes for people that have a mental illness and for their community. The mental health court
system likes to motivate individuals to connect to community based treatment services while the court
monitors their progress and ensures public safety. According to Almquist L. and Dodd E., the

Summary Of Eat More Meat And Save The World By George Savory
As humanity advances further into the 21st century, climate change continues to serve as a major
obstacle in ensuring a secure world with the immediate and catastrophic dangers it presents. Major
scientific organizations and governments over the years have created various programs to tackle this
issue: creating carbon emission quotas, investing in green energy and even encouraging citizens to eat
less meat and dairy. However, these programs need a lot of effort, funds, and cooperation to be
successful and result in a drastic improvement. It is of little surprise that Allan Savory s method of
holistic management has gained tremendous popularity, as shown by the fact that his TED talk has two
million views. Savory claims that carbon emissions can be reduced by using more herd animals to
transform desert areas into lush environments. In a subject as critical as climate change, such an
extraordinary idea needs to be able to stand strong against criticism, and George Monbiot, an ardent
environmentalist, scrutinizes holistic management in his article Eat More Meat and Save the World:
The Latest Implausible Farming Miracle . In the article, the rhetor Monbiot portrays holistic
management as an improbable, unscientific idea that knowledgeable environmentalists should
disregard with a scholarly and impartial tone that indicates his exigence, logos in the form of peer
reviewed studies and their relevance, and ethos via a visualization of Savory s inability to defend his

William Shakespeare s Othello, Desdemona And Othello

What are symbols and why are they viewed differently by individuals. For example, a marriage
between to people that love each other is represented by the vows said by each, the rings placed on the
finger, and the commitment honored before God.
In the play Othello , Desdemona and Othello married, they desired to share their life together, and
even consummated the marriage through sex, but their views of love differ. Let me explain the
opposition of how the audience may view the handkerchief as Symbols and also how the symbols
have different meaning between the characters in the play. What did the handkerchief mean to both
Othello and Desdemona. Was the handkerchief a symbol of Christianity or paganism of magic. How
did the handkerchief effect the moral nature of others as it passes between characters.
Othello gave Desdemona a handkerchief as a first gift, the handkerchief to be represented as a token
of his love and belief that he was loved by his wife. Kiss and talk meaning Desdemona did cherishes
the gift from her husband. But why did Othello believe that it took a symbol such as the handkerchief
to prove love. I believed
Desdemona loved her husband and truly honored their married with all her heart, The heavens forbid.
But that out loves and comforts should increase even as our days do grow (II. i. 188 190). As well as i

Civil War Reconstruction Dbq Essay
During the time period of 1860 and 1877 many major changes occurred. From the beginning of the
civil war to the fall of the reconstruction, the United States changed dramatically. Nearly one hundred
years after the Declaration of Independence which declared all men equal, many social and
constitutional alterations were necessary to protect the rights of all people, no matter their race. These
social and constitutional developments that were made during 1860 to 1877 were so drastic it could be
called a revolution.
The election of Abraham Lincoln and the secession of the South led to the outbreak of the civil war.
The civil war was the first revolutionary change in America. States rights were a major issue during
this time. Issues of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When blacks were given the right to vote, it was only somewhat successful. Many blacks did use their
new political power to vote as it is shown in Harper s Weekly (Document G), but whites still tried to
stop them. Literacy tests, grandfather clauses, and fear caused by the Ku Klux Klan were used to keep
blacks from exercising their right to vote. Another issue of reconstruction was the banking and
currency system. In an attempt to uniform the currency, Senator John Sherman gave a speech saying
that with a currency and a medium of exchange, we shall have a broader and more generous
nationality (Document B). At the time many states had their own currency and a change needed to be
made to unite the states. A sense of nationality was needed as the nation was in turmoil after the
attempted secession of the South. Reconstruction came to an end in 1877 with the Compromise of
1877. Rutherford Hayes became president for agreeing to end federal support for Southern
Republicans and building a transcontinental railroad. In this compromise he also withdrew troops
from the South. This, along with the rejection of laws protecting blacks from discrimination, brought
reconstruction to an end in 1877.
Many social changes occurred during the time from 1860 to 1877. In the history of the United States,
blacks had been viewed as less than equal to whites. This was clearly shown through the three fifths
compromise which counted slaves as less than an actual

Determine feasibility of an ERP system: Bandon Group, Inc., is in the process of researching whether
it would be feasible to integrate an ERP system with its company and offsite locations. There are a few
unanswered questions as to if Brandon Group should pursue an ERP and CRM solutions in order to
meet the company goals and its needs. To address the question, Bandon group should most definitely
pursue an ERP and a CRM solution for its company. Bandon should first pursue an ERP solution as
CRM solutions can be easily integrated within an ERP environment (Trak. In, 2010). Key findings in

The Impact Of Technology On Our Lives
The Impact of Technology
Technology has become an essential part of life in the last few decades, and it is often needed for
work, school, and accessing information. With the rising need for technology, people have started to
wonder whether it is improving or harming their quality of life. The rise of technology is improving
people s lives, as it improves relationships between friends and family, can increase free time, and
access to technology makes timing more efficient.
To begin, technology is improving people s lives because it keeps relationships strong between friends
and family. To illustrate this point, in source one, A recent follow up study found that the average user
of social networking sites had more close ties than and was half as likely to be socially isolated as the
average American. The rise of technology has made communication between people better and more
efficient, meaning people can contact each other quickly and with little delay. Having social media
allows people to see pictures and updates of friends and family, and allow them to see what is going
on in their lives, which allows people to never truly feel disconnected with those close to them. The
internet and social media have improved social isolation, since people rarely go long without speaking
to friends or family over the phone. Another example of this point is found in source one, which states
that social media users know a greater variety of diverse users. Technology has allowed people in

Action Plan For The Tiger

Action Plan for the Tiger, Panthera tigris
1. Description of Species
Description
The Tiger, Panthera tigris (Linnaeus 1758), is the largest of the cat species found in the world. Tigers
are most notable for their pattern of vertical stripes which can either be dark brown or black, and their
fur which can range from yellow to reddish orange, with the rare white fur present in some individuals
as well. Tigers can reach a total length of eleven feet. In the wild they have been known to weight up
to 857 pounds (Wood, 1983). The Bengal Tiger is the largest of the subspecies whereas the Sumatran
is the smallest. From the paw to shoulder tigers range in height from 2.3 to 4.0 feet tall (Karanth,
2003). Males are bigger ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is believed to be no wild South China tigers in existence with the number in captivity to be
around sixty five (World Wildlife Fund, 2014). There is between 400 and 500 Sumatran tigers
estimated to be in the wild as of 2014 (World Wildlife Fund, 2014). Distribution
In the past when the distribution of tigers was at its peak, tigers ranged from the Caspian Sea to
Siberia (Piper et al., 2007). In the Indonesian Islands they were predominantly found on Sumatra,
Java, and Bali. There has also been fossil evidence to conclude that at one point tigers were existing in
Borneo and the island of Palawan. Tigers became extinct in Western Asia during the 20th century and
became limited to the remaining parts of their circulation. Today their locations have been greatly
reduced to India, west of China such as Nepal and Bhutan, and also Southeastern Asia like
Bangladesh. Sumatra is the only island that is still inhabited by tigers (Chundawat et al., 2011). The
historical range of the tiger has diminished by 93% since the start of the 20th century and known area
occupied by tigers has reduced by 41% from 1997 to 2007 (Dinerstein et all., 2007).
Figure 1 A Bengal Tiger in Karnataka, India. Behavior

Analysis Of All Summer In A Day

All Summer in a Day
Harassment, bullying, isolation and depression are things a nine year old should not be experiencing,
but for a little girl living who s living on Venus, this is exactly what is happening. The short story All
Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury , takes place on the planet Venus where everyday is like the next,
full of rain. To the residents of Venus, this is normal, unless you just moved here five years ago. This
is the case for Margot who has to deal with the torture of remembering life on Earth. Every seven
years, the sun shines on Venus. For just two hour, the rain stops pouring and the sky turns blue.
Margot has been waiting for this day ever since she moved to Venus. Unfortunately, the other students
lock her in the closet and she misses the opportunity to see the sun that she loves and misses so much.
A theme throughout the story is that the children of Venus are jealous of Margot because she is
different, this is shown when the author describes Margot, when Margot is in the shower, and when
the children lock her in the closet.
One of the reasons that the children of Venus are jealous of Margot is because of her different
experiences. The author writes the biggest crime of all was that she has come here only five years ago
from Earth, and she remembered the sun and the away the sun was and the sky (Bradbury 1974). He
uses this quote to show the reader the relationship between Margot and her classmates. It shows

  • 3. Animal Welfare Campaign Should Be Banned Every year, over billions of innocent animals, are dying, poisoned, and killed as a result of million experiments that are tested on them. These new experiments are not hundred percent guaranteed. However, these experiences may work with animals and give positive results, but when it tests back on the human, it gives the opposite results. The animal welfare campaign finds that testing new products on animals is an inhuman and a cruel thing and it should be stopped. So, they start making attacks around the world telling people how these experiments are dangerous and harmful to the animals and show them how these animals suffer when it affects them negatively. As a result of these campaigns, a significant number of people stopped buying products that are tested on animals such as makeup, face masks, lotions, and various kinds of medicines. Likewise, there are many kinds of food are tested on animals. Therefore, many people decided to become vegetarians. Consequently, testing new food, medical, and beauty products on animals is unnecessary due to the differences between animals and human genes, the harmful effects on animals, and the alternative methods for testing new products that take the place of animals. Human beings and animals are very different creatures from each other which lead to poor results in these tests. If my partner and I were to make another rocket, there are a few changes we would make. First of all, we would make our rocket lighter by removing some of the materials from the payload. By doing this, the rocket would be able to stay in the air for longer. Also, we would improve the parachute by making it stronger. To do this, we would need to tape it better and make it sturdier. Use the word died That will show that you are more open to talk about how the person really feels. Express your concern. Example: I m sorry to hear that this happened to you. Be genuine in your communication and don t hide your feelings. Example: I m not sure what to say, but I want you to know I care. Offer your support. Example: Tell me what I can do for you. Ask how he or she feels, and don t assume you know how the bereaved person feels on any given day. Being a good listener and being there is very comforting to a person in grief. Giving reassurance and showing empathy are also key in helping a friend in need. This may be done by going on errands for them, offering to do housework, shopping or bringing over food dishes. • 10. The Deer Hunter Analysis The Deer Hunter is a Vietnam war film directed by Michael Cimino released in 1978. It tracks the lives of lifelong friends in a small town before and after three of them go to Vietnam. The main male characters that go to Vietnam are Michael, Nick, and Steven. The beginning of the film shows the kind of friendship they have with one another before becoming a soldier using up about an hour of screentime. The middle of the film shows what they went through during the war, the last part of the film was used to show how they were affected in their lives. What most likely influenced the film like the many other war films at the time was the relatively recent end of the Vietnam war. The setting of the film was realistic never did I think while watching that this was something that wouldn t have happened. The atmosphere suggested that Pennsylvania was a quiet place free from trouble, while Vietnam was a place full of mayhem and temptations. There was one very blatant symbol used to foreshadow the events to come. The cups that Steven and his wife drank out of that if not a single drop was spilled would be good luck for the rest of their lives. The camera work of the film was executed well. The close ups helped to build the tension during the Russian roulette scenes. There were very scenic wide shots of the mountains during hunting scenes that helped contrast the intense scenes of the movie by making those scenes more intense when we see them because of how tranquil much of the movie ... Psychedelics, and drugs in general became such an important part of life during the 60 s that it s influence was inescapable. Nowhere can this fact be seen more clearly than in the music of the time. The most obvious influence drugs had on music can bee seen in the lyrics. Drug references abound, be it Jimi Hendrix s Purple Haze of marijuana smoke, or the Beatles Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds , obviously referring to LSD. Even the names of the bands were drug inspired, as Garofalo points out in reference to the Doors: The group took it s name from Aldous Huxley s The Doors of Perception, a book about the liberating aspects of drug use. Even the music itself was influenced by drugs. Take for example much of the music by the Doors. Their song the End is a psychedelic journey in to the world of LSD. The slow beat and trippy music in the song was probably created with the use of drugs and hence is better appreciated when heard while on drugs. This is also true of the music of the Grateful Dead, although this can be much more clearly seen in their live performances as opposed to their studio work. Much of their music is geared specifically toward those in the audience who are on drugs. Hearing one of their 30 minute jams is a much different experience on drugs, and that is the experience that they intended the audience to have. • 15. Internal Domain Name System for Company Internal Domain Name System for Company Alpha Introduction The DNS is a vital Internet component providing mechanisms for resolving host names into IP addresses and vice versa. In addition, DNS supports other Internet directories concerning DNS name servers and mail exchangers among others (Garfinkel Spafford, 1997). Despite being a universally accepted and widely used system, insecure protocols and lack of authentication among other factors within the DNS threaten proper functionality of the DNS. Moreover, the accuracy of the information contained within the DNS is vital to many aspects of IP based communications. Domain Model for the Organization The domain appropriate for this organization is the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND). This domain name is selected since it compatible with most operating systems including UNIX; it is also used by most Internet Service Providers (Stevens, 1990). In addition, BIND is recommended for the firm since its configuration files are easier to maintain than other server DNSs such as Sendmail (Terry, Painter, Riggle, Zhou, 1984). Using this DNS, cache only name servers are easily placed strategically within the internal network to remove unwanted traffic and expensive WAN links. Moreover, BIND supports DNS SEC, TSIG IPv4 among other DNS protocol enhancements. Given the popularity of BIND, it is often targeted by hackers. Therefore, limiting zone transfers to slave name servers and limiting transfer in the zone can reduce the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As individuals we tend to learn from life experiences and events that go on around us. We not only learn about how to become successful in life instead we learn how to make a living as we encounter new individuals and new life lessons that teach us whether how to cook, clean, or even how to do math. In the play Othello , Desdemona and Othello married, they desired to share their life together, and even consummated the marriage through sex, but their views of love differ. Let me explain the opposition of how the audience may view the handkerchief as Symbols and also how the symbols have different meaning between the characters in the play. What did the handkerchief mean to both Othello and Desdemona. Was the handkerchief a symbol of Christianity or paganism of magic. How did the handkerchief effect the moral nature of others as it passes between characters. Othello gave Desdemona a handkerchief as a first gift, the handkerchief to be represented as a token of his love and belief that he was loved by his wife. Kiss and talk meaning Desdemona did cherishes the gift from her husband. But why did Othello believe that it took a symbol such as the handkerchief to prove love. • 31. Civil War Reconstruction Dbq Essay During the time period of 1860 and 1877 many major changes occurred. From the beginning of the civil war to the fall of the reconstruction, the United States changed dramatically. Nearly one hundred years after the Declaration of Independence which declared all men equal, many social and constitutional alterations were necessary to protect the rights of all people, no matter their race. These social and constitutional developments that were made during 1860 to 1877 were so drastic it could be called a revolution. The election of Abraham Lincoln and the secession of the South led to the outbreak of the civil war. The civil war was the first revolutionary change in America. States rights were a major issue during this time. Issues of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When blacks were given the right to vote, it was only somewhat successful. Many blacks did use their new political power to vote as it is shown in Harper s Weekly (Document G), but whites still tried to stop them. Literacy tests, grandfather clauses, and fear caused by the Ku Klux Klan were used to keep blacks from exercising their right to vote. Another issue of reconstruction was the banking and currency system. In an attempt to uniform the currency, Senator John Sherman gave a speech saying that with a currency and a medium of exchange, we shall have a broader and more generous nationality (Document B). At the time many states had their own currency and a change needed to be made to unite the states. A sense of nationality was needed as the nation was in turmoil after the attempted secession of the South. Reconstruction came to an end in 1877 with the Compromise of 1877. Rutherford Hayes became president for agreeing to end federal support for Southern Republicans and building a transcontinental railroad. In this compromise he also withdrew troops from the South. This, along with the rejection of laws protecting blacks from discrimination, brought reconstruction to an end in 1877. Many social changes occurred during the time from 1860 to 1877. In the history of the United States, blacks had been viewed as less than equal to whites. This was clearly shown through the three fifths compromise which counted slaves as less than an actual ... • 34. The Impact Of Technology On Our Lives The Impact of Technology Technology has become an essential part of life in the last few decades, and it is often needed for work, school, and accessing information. With the rising need for technology, people have started to wonder whether it is improving or harming their quality of life. The rise of technology is improving people s lives, as it improves relationships between friends and family, can increase free time, and access to technology makes timing more efficient. To begin, technology is improving people s lives because it keeps relationships strong between friends and family. To illustrate this point, in source one, A recent follow up study found that the average user of social networking sites had more close ties than and was half as likely to be socially isolated as the average American. The rise of technology has made communication between people better and more efficient, meaning people can contact each other quickly and with little delay. Having social media allows people to see pictures and updates of friends and family, and allow them to see what is going on in their lives, which allows people to never truly feel disconnected with those close to them. The internet and social media have improved social isolation, since people rarely go long without speaking to friends or family over the phone. Another example of this point is found in source one, which states that social media users know a greater variety of diverse users. Technology has allowed people in ... There is between 400 and 500 Sumatran tigers estimated to be in the wild as of 2014 (World Wildlife Fund, 2014). Distribution In the past when the distribution of tigers was at its peak, tigers ranged from the Caspian Sea to Siberia (Piper et al., 2007). In the Indonesian Islands they were predominantly found on Sumatra, Java, and Bali. There has also been fossil evidence to conclude that at one point tigers were existing in Borneo and the island of Palawan. Tigers became extinct in Western Asia during the 20th century and became limited to the remaining parts of their circulation. Today their locations have been greatly reduced to India, west of China such as Nepal and Bhutan, and also Southeastern Asia like Bangladesh. Sumatra is the only island that is still inhabited by tigers (Chundawat et al., 2011). The historical range of the tiger has diminished by 93% since the start of the 20th century and known area occupied by tigers has reduced by 41% from 1997 to 2007 (Dinerstein et all., 2007). • 37. Analysis Of All Summer In A Day Prakriti Bhattarai Period ½ 11 17 17 All Summer in a Day Harassment, bullying, isolation and depression are things a nine year old should not be experiencing, but for a little girl living who s living on Venus, this is exactly what is happening. The short story All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury , takes place on the planet Venus where everyday is like the next, full of rain. To the residents of Venus, this is normal, unless you just moved here five years ago. This is the case for Margot who has to deal with the torture of remembering life on Earth. Every seven years, the sun shines on Venus. For just two hour, the rain stops pouring and the sky turns blue. Margot has been waiting for this day ever since she moved to Venus. Unfortunately, the other students lock her in the closet and she misses the opportunity to see the sun that she loves and misses so much. A theme throughout the story is that the children of Venus are jealous of Margot because she is different, this is shown when the author describes Margot, when Margot is in the shower, and when the children lock her in the closet. One of the reasons that the children of Venus are jealous of Margot is because of her different experiences. The author writes the biggest crime of all was that she has come here only five years ago from Earth, and she remembered the sun and the away the sun was and the sky (Bradbury 1974). He uses this quote to show the reader the relationship between Margot and her classmates. It shows ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
