For the human body to operate it must acquire new materials and get rid of waste. The exchange of
materials plays an important role in ensuring the body is functioning and each system within the body
follows common principles for this exchange, but adapts to suit its own requirements and function.
The human body has a smaller surface area to volume ratio in comparison to smaller organisms, which
are able to gain all gases that are needed though simple diffusion, and therefore is not able to complete
all of the exchanges of the materials it requires in the same way. To ensure that it obtains all of the
materials that are needed, specialised systems are present within it to allow this. This essay will be

With great power comes great responsibility. Although he would appear to replay Who cares? to this,
Hamlet, one of literature s most famous and powerful users of wit is actually using his wit to further
his ambitious cause. Through the use of Hamlet s wordplay, Shakespeare reveals the true nature of
Hamlet s inner self as well as his relationships with the other characters within the play.
Hamlet s diction reflects his relationship with the person he is speaking to when he uses wordplay. For
example, he tells Claudius that he is A little more than kin but less than kind. (1,2,65) Translated, this
is a play on words as he is refuting Claudius s previous statement about Hamlet being his son. The
definedly hostile relationship Hamlet has towards Claudius is easily seen through his wordplay, but
the meaning is taken simply at face value by the rest of the characters who are clueless to Hamlet s
true intentions. This idea is stressed in Hamlet s follow up statement that his too much in the sun

On April 12,1865 Confederate warships bombed the union at Fort Sumter in South Carolina and this
marked the beginning of one of the worst and deadliest wars fought in the world. It was a war that

Families were torn apart, sons had lost their fathers, mothers lost their sons, and whole towns lost

Analysis
In the experiment, the scientist observed a series of cells, the first one being cheek cells. After
swabbing the inside of their cheeks and preparing a slide, the scientists were able to see the cytoplasm,

uncle, and some of my cousins. We have been going on this vacation for about six years, but at first it
only started out as us going down for the weekend. The first two years we went to Myrtle Beach it was
just me and my grandma and grandpa, but after that year some more of my family started to come
down with us. This past year I had to wake up around 5 o clock so that I could get ready in time to
leave early. The first thing I did was take a shower, then I finished packing my bags, and finally I got
ready to leave. My grandma came and picked me up around 5:45 and we headed to her house. Once,

My First Year As Camp Director
I established a repport and friendship with many of the campers, and especially the counselors. And
this was only my first year as camp director! This was the group of youth that made me realize that
they have such an influence on the younger youth. I was able to see the campers imitate and follow
their counselors. I am excited to put my plans into motion for next summer. The feelings I have for the

Thematization is considered the mental act or process of selecting particular topics as themes in
discourse or words as themes in sentences. This paper examines thematization strategies in English
opinion articles written by American and Iranian journalists. To this end, two of the leading
newspapers in the United States and Iran, The New York Times and Tehran Times, have been chosen.
Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of textual features and marked and unmarked
themes of 12 opinion articles (6 from each newspaper), this study aims to find out how these two
groups of professional writers organize their themes, into marked and unmarked ones and what effects
these organizations have on the audiences. The findings revealed that textual features were present in
both sets of data. The occurrences of marked and unmarked themes were not significantly different.
The findings revealed that thematization patterns can help the understanding of the texts. The results
also showed that marked themes have an impact on the audiences. The results were relatively the same
in the original texts and their translations.
