initial Ideas - VEL
- 1. Costume Ideas: Dark colours mainly for the costumes because it’s one of the rock genre conventions. Location Ideas: I’ve chosen to use Camden Canal as one of the main location choices because its quite a popular area that has a lot of funky shops and scenery which fits with my genre. In the music video I would have most scenes filmed in the drama studio so we can use the black curtains to make it clear to audience what the genre of our song is. I’d film the our performer walking down Camden canal singing our song so we have lots of the scenery shown. ROCK The target audience for this music video is 16-20 year olds this is because it’s a teen rock video.
- 2. Costume ideas: Leather jacket, jeans, white vest top and converse, this is to give the look of a trendy young girl. Backpack and heaphones. Location ideas: CamdenTown because its very busy and diverse which makes the music video look fun and exciting. In the music video the main performer will be holding her phone and showing herself turning our chosen song on, the main performer also is wearing headphones this is to make it look like she’s just listening to the song but having fun whilst walking down a busy street dancing. The target audience for this music video is young adults around the ages of 18-21.
- 3. Costume ideas: something subtle and loose, casual clothing and a lot of jewellery these are main conventions of this genre. Location ideas: for the music video I’d like to have my main performer singing mainly in front of a white background. In the music video I’d like to have the main focus on my main performer, using different shots and a lot of emotive scenes. Target audience is 14-25 year olds this is because the target audience for the Hip-hop genre is quite broad because the artist try to appeal to people around their age.
