This document outlines mock-up designs for the front and back covers and CD advert of an album. The front cover design features the artist image submerged into the background image to create a story about the artist's rise to stardom. The back cover will feature an original image of money being exchanged to represent the artist's money-driven goals in music. The CD advert mock-up shows the artist in a casual long shot to represent urban culture, with concert dates and social media links beside the artist and clear labeling of artist and album details.

Front Cover
This is a mock up of design of
the front cover of my cd. The
idea of submerging my artist
and background image into
each other I took from the
NAS – ILLMATIC digipack. This
means taking a separate
image and making the image
much lighter in opaticity
compared to the image
brought to the front.I feel it
creates a story before even
listening to the music,
because my background
image is going to be of my
artists surrounding local
area/street, and main image
of the artist will be mid shot
of the artist looking upwards
– as if to stardom.

I decided the main image is going
to be a big stack of money on a
black background with a thick
elastic band around it, this is
going to be an original image
because the artists hand will be
present as well. I chose this
concept of money and
exchanging hands, because it
connotes a money driven artist
whose main goal doesn’t have to
be violence and money, but
music and money. I feel the black
background will create an
unexpected feeling for this target
audience, as black connotes
danger but class and also change.

3. CD ADVERT
For the CD Advert, I want to
take a low long shot image of
my artist, he will be wearing
casual clothing to represent the
urban London culture. Also the
print advert will consist of
concert dates as well as social
media links, going down beside
the artists legs, just to create a
dynamic. The album release
date will be boldly stated and
artist name and album name
highlighted clearly above.
