¡Vamos a practicar!  You are going to describe the following people: yourself (yo), your favorite teacher (él/ella), you and your best friend (nosotros/as), your parents or grandparents (ellos) AND You will TELL a friend what you think of them (tú).  For each person or persons you must include the following information: Age, physical description, personality, things they like and don’t like, and activities they like to do and  WHY .
Where do you start? Subject Pronouns – Pick a box! Ellos/ellas/Uds. Or more than 1 person, a group or plural item Él/ella/Ud. Or 1 person, group or thing Vosotros/as Tú Nosotros/as Yo
Then decide - do you use “ser” or “gustar” *****“Ser” is used to DESCRIBE**** Use a form of “ser” to talk about what people  ARE LIKE , where they are from, their personality… “ Gustar” is used to talk about what  things you or others  LIKE  and what activities you LIKE to do!
“ Ser” Choose the right form of “ser” 2. Choose the adjective you want and make it match the subject – singular/plural/masculine/feminine son es sois eres somos soy
“ Gustar” Decide WHO is doing the liking (which subject pronoun box are you going to use?) then decide WHAT is being liked. Match the “who” with the correct object pronoun: Next use “gusta” if the THING being liked is singular and “gustan” if they are plural.  Reminder:  ALWAYS USE “GUSTA” with Verbs (activities). Ex. Me gusta la pizza. Me gustan los deportes. Me gusta correr. Les  Le Os Te Nos Me
Stress and Clarifiers with “GUSTAR” Remember if you want to add stress or clarify who is doing the liking you must have an “a” before the name or subject pronoun and if you are using the “yo” form you need to use “a mí” and if you are using the “tú” form you will use “a ti” A Uds., a ellos, a ellas, a Juan y Tito A él, a ella, a Ud.
