Urban Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSW) Commercial and Domestic Wastes, Biodegradable Waste (Municipality Trash or Garbage, Refuse or Rubbish, Recycling, Composting, Disposal, and Waste-to-energy)
Due to rapid increase in the production and consumption processes, societies generate as well as reject solid materials regularly from various sectors – agricultural, commercial, domestic, industrial and institutional. The considerable volume of wastes thus generated and rejected is called solid wastes. In other words, solid wastes are the wastes arising from human and animal activities that are normally solid and are discarded as useless or unwanted. This inevitably places an enormous strain on natural resources and seriously undermines efficient and sustainable development. One of the ways to salvage the situation is through efficient management of solid wastes.
There has been a significant increase in MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) generation in India in the last few decades. This is largely because of rapid population growth and economic development in the country. Solid waste management has become a major environmental issue in India .

Solid waste management is responsibility of us all. Solid waste disposal management is usually referred to the process of collecting and treating and recycling solid wastes. Some of the common solid wastes obtained from these places include glass, rubber waste, plastics, food wastes, wood, paper, metals, cardboard materials, electronics as well as various hazardous wastes. Solid waste refers to any unwanted product in our environment or from our daily items that is not a liquid or gas. The solid wastes on improper disposal affects the environment in many different ways such as the pollution in air, water and soil and the spread of diseases like dysentery, dengue yellow fevers and so on. Vulnerable groups such as children are at increased risk of adverse health outcomes. Poor waste collection leads to environmental and marine pollution and can block water drains. Resulting flooding and other standing waters in waste items favour cholera and vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue. We can significantly reduce the amount of solid waste by following some basic principles of reducing the amount of waste that is created, reusing materials that would otherwise be discarded, by recycling materials and by using recycled materials.
Solid waste management is collecting, treating, and disposing of solid material that is discarded because it has served its purpose or is no longer useful. Improper disposal of municipal solid waste can create unsanitary conditions, and these conditions in turn can lead to pollution of the environment and to outbreaks of vector-borne disease—that is, diseases spread by rodents and insects. The tasks of solid-waste management present complex technical challenges. They also pose a wide variety of administrative, economic, and social problems that must

Food waste initiatives have become increasingly popular amongst major food retailers and foodservice operators in recent years. With the backing of celebrities such as Jamie Oliver, leading retailers and manufacturers signed a commitment to reduce food waste by 20% by 2025 in March 2016. him! explores the shopper attitudes around the topic.
Recycle Everything - Why We Must, How We CanJanet Unruh
Explains how we can close the loop in manufacturing through designing materials for recycling and disassembly, and establishing a process for product recovery. Presented at Waste and Recycling for a Better World, in Santa Barbara, March 2011.
Done by group: Alieman_Inventors
School Name: Al Ieman school for girls
Biodegradable Materials module: Students make, test and evaluate biodegradable films and gels. They use their knowledge gained during the workshop to design devices that release a dye in a controlled manner as they degrade. Finally they design their own biodegradable product.
As in Qatar we depend on sea water, student thought of an idea that protects the marine environment in their country. After performing research, it was found that some fishermen forget where they put the Gargoors or fishnet in seawater, causing the fish to be captured and trapped for a long time. The Gargoors get heavier and settle in the bottom where there is no enough oxygen, sunlight, or food. The fish will die but nets still there that causes the cycle continues. This cause huge pollution. Accordingly, the product of this group represents a solution to this problem. This could be achieved by using biodegradable materials to make a lock for the Gargoors that degrades within few days in water to give freedom for fish without affect the environment.

Recycling of Waste Plastics: Starting a Business, How to Start a Plastic Recy...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
The plastics industry has developed considerably since the invention of various routes for the production of polymers from petrochemical sources. Plastics have substantial benefits in terms of their low weight, durability and lower cost relative to many other material types. A major portion of plastic produced each year is used to make disposable items of packaging or other short-lived products that are discarded within a year of manufacture. These two observations alone indicate that our current use of plastics is not sustainable. Recycling is one of the most important actions currently available to reduce these impacts and represents one of the most dynamic areas in the plastics industry today. Recycling provides opportunities to reduce oil usage, carbon dioxide emissions and the quantities of waste requiring disposal.

E-waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their "useful life." Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Unfortunately, electronic discards are one of the fastest growing segments of our nation's waste stream. Electronic wastes, "e-waste", "e-scrap", or "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE") is a description of surplus, obsolete, broken or discarded electrical or electronic devices. Technically, electronic "waste" is the component which is dumped or disposed or discarded rather than recycled, including residue from reuse and recycling operations.
A range of techniques is currently applied for retrieving components and materials from WEEE. The essential features of these systems generally conform to a scheme of: sorting/disassembly; size reduction; separation.

Thermocol Cups, Glass and Plates - Market Survey cum Detailed Techno Economic...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
Thermocol is formed by the synthesizing of spherical particles consisting of air (at a rate of 98%) contained within an infinite number of hollow cells. These cells, forming a structure of pellets fused together, give consistency and rigidity to the final product. The advantages are many: the product’s manufacturer requires very little energy, thereby allowing full weight to be given to ecological consideration. Of fundamental importance is the treatment with the vapor, which, as well as having a technical function during the manufacturing process, renders the product hygienic through sterilization. Thermocol is a good resister of cold and heat but since it is a petroleum product it dissolves in any solvent of petroleum.

Copper Sulphate is of topical interest in the sense that copper is important metal used in India from ancient times. Copper sulphate is widely used as fungicide in agricultural field. Therefore demand of copper sulphate directly depends upon the usage and development of agriculture in a country. In India, the total installed annual capacity of 43 technical grades of pesticides and fungicide is estimated at 148,000 tonnes. The Indian industry has been focusing on integrated crop management (ICM), increasing exports of genuine pesticides & fungicide and concentrating on farmer-friendly activities. With the global market rising, there are encouraging prospects for the Indian industry. The pesticide industry is targeting a 10% share of global pesticides market and has been working on the ICM program to introduce safer applications, spray devices and crop protection through balanced use of biological and chemical pesticides. The exports cover pesticide intermediates. Pesticides and fungicide exports from India were growing at the rate of 15% and are expected to witness a more accelerated growth. Also, demand of copper sulphate is increasing rapidly for its use as a natural growth stimulant in animals, as well as in prevention of E.coli and listeria. The food-grade Copper Sulfate industry is a $1.2 billion industry growing at approximately 15% per year.
Refractories are necessary in the metallurgical, cement, glass, and machine tools industries where kilns and furnaces are used for value addition process to materials. Dolomite refractories are currently in use in some countries such as China, France, England India etc. Dolomite refractories have wide applications in the steel industry where it is used in open hearth, basic oxygen converters and other steel refining systems.
Dolomite is environmentally friendly and can be used for the production of pure and extra low carbon steels. Dolomite that is ceramically bonded exhibit high hot erosion resistance. Good quality dolomite, with low silica content is thermo dynamically stable and has a significantly high heat sink characteristics.

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) - Market Survey cum Detailed Techno Economic ...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
Medium density fiberboard (MDF) is a generic term for a panel primarily composed of lignocellulosic fibers combined with a synthetic resin or other suitable bonding system and bonded together under heat and pressure. MDF is a wood based composite. The primary constituent is a softwood that has been broken down into wood fibres; that is the very cells (tracheids, vessels, fibres and fibre-tracheids), which are far smaller entities than those used in particleboard. The panels are compressed to a density of 0.50 to 0.80 and specific gravity (31-50 lb/ft3). Additives may be introduced during manufacturing to improve certain properties.

www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

2. Introduction
Due to rapid increase in the production and
consumption processes, societies generate as
well as reject solid materials regularly from
various sectors – agricultural, commercial,
domestic, industrial and institutional. The
considerable volume of wastes thus generated
and rejected is called solid wastes. In other
words, solid wastes are the wastes arising
from human and animal activities that are
normally solid and are discarded as useless or
unwanted.
www.entrepreneurindia.c
3. This inevitably places an enormous strain on
natural resources and seriously undermines
efficient and sustainable development. One of
the ways to salvage the situation is through
efficient management of solid wastes. There
has been a significant increase in MSW
(Municipal Solid Waste) generation in India in
the last few decades. This is largely because
of rapid population growth and economic
development in the country.
www.entrepreneurindia.c
4. Solid waste management has become a
major environmental issue in India .The
limited revenues earmarked for the
municipalities make them ill-equipped to
provide for high costs involved in the
collection, storage, treatment, and proper
disposal of MSW. As a result, a substantial
part of the MSW generated remains
unattended and grows in the heaps at poorly
maintained collection centres.
www.entrepreneurindia.c
5. Waste management market is expected to be
worth US$ 13.62 billion by 2025. Indian
municipal solid waste (MSW) management
market is expected to grow at a CAGR of
7.14% by 2025 while e-waste management
market is expected to grow at a CAGR of
10.03% during the same period.
www.entrepreneurindia.c
6. List of Finished Products of Municipal Solid Waste Management
Municipal solid waste management plant offers following Finished product:
1. Compost: Municipal solid waste is suitable for composting because of the
presence of high percentage of biodegradable organic matter, satisfactory
moisture content and C/N ratio in the waste. The recycling of organic residues
results in the formation of compost which is a highly valued and cost effective
organic fertilizer.
2. RDF: MSW Refused derived fuel acts as a best substitute to fossil fuels like
coal, wood because of its better emission and burning characteristics at lower
cost as compared to other fossil fuels.
www.entrepreneurindia.c
7. – Better Emission and burning characteristics
– Most preferable fuel because of its low cost as compared to
other fossil fuels.
– High burning Efficiency because of consistent quality.
– Uniform combustion compared to coal and wood.
3. Recyclable Plastics and metal:
Different methods are opted to separate plastics and metal in the Municipal Solid
Waste.
Plastics is roughly classified into light and heavy plastic. Light plastic is segregated
through an Air Density Separator (ADS) and heavy plastic is segregated
manually. Whereas the metal present in the MSW lot is segregated with the help
of magnetic separators. Any material that remains after the separation of metals
and plastics is further sent for landfilling
