Unit 2 concept of school management

 Management is defined as an act of managing people and their work, for achieving a common goal by using the organization’s resources.  It creates an environment under which the manager and his subordinates can work together for the attainment of group objective.  It is a group of people who use their skills and talent in running the complete system of the organization. It is an activity, a function, a process, a discipline and much more. Management

 (a) Management has scientific basis because management techniques are susceptible to measurement and factual determination.  (b) Management is an Art because management means coordinating and getting work done through others Management may be called an Art as well as Science:
Relationship among Organization Administration and Management  Organization:  Organized group of people with a particular purpose.  Administration:  All the techniques and procedures employed in operating the educational organization in accordance with established policies.  Management:  Execution of policy with in the limits to achieve organizational goals.
