Objectives of the unit
4. The word ADMINISTREATION, derived from the Latin word – “ad +
ministraire” means care for’ or look after people to manage affairs i.e. work
dedicated to the good of others.
Administration is a machinery through which any organization or institution
can be managed.
Administration is the organization & direction of human & material resources
to achieve desired ends.” (Pfiffner & Presthus).
“Administration is the direction, coordination an control of many persons to
achieve some purposes or objectives.” (L.D. White)
