Challenges in leading and managing people in educational institutions are worthwhile indicators that require constant checks and adjustments. These verifications are necessary because humans are complex beings and whose thinking faculties are not fixed and often guided by situational and environmental factors. Consequently, they must have divergent views which may pose unpredictable problems to administrators. Only very smart and ardent leaders maybe quick to detect, withstand and overcome such inevitables. The need for such challenges to be identified and controlled before they galvanize subordinates into negative behavioral tendencies cannot be under-estimated. This paper therefore examined possible challenges which may manifest as impediments or hindrances to the effective leading and managing of people in educational institutions in Cameroon. A number of challenges were examined and discussed in the paper. Suggestions for ways of checking and controlling the challenges have been made to serve as a reservoir of checks and guides for school administrators and leaders. The paper cautions school managers to be tactful and apply modern charismatic approaches in the control, directing of staff and managing of their institutions.

Positive Leadership has been introduced in numerous organizations and it has proved itself a very effective approach, able to generate extremely positive results on people and on the key business aspects, including the financials. The present paper describes a case study carried out in an Indian design academy, where Positive Leadership was introduced into two different modules corresponding to the Foundation and final years of the Design Program. Faculty were randomly selected, and they were then supported so that they could conduct their classes according to the principles of Positive Leadership. After the implementation, the results on students (their satisfaction, learning and academic success) and on faculty were analyzed and, like in so many other spheres, Positive Leadership seems to be able to produce a clear improvement of the teaching-learning process that presents an interesting opportunity for further implementation in Higher Education.

Learning transfer in leadership programs.docxSara239500
Understand the importance of leadership development initiatives in corporate environments. It is not enough to evaluate our programs using formative and summative evaluations or implementing the Kirkpatrick evaluation model to gain insights into how participants implement the knowledge or skills after training. We must understand how to design a program that has elements that will promote transfer before, during, and after the program. This paper will examine the impact of learning transfer and the models used to understand better how to achieve this. Afterward, a deep dive will be done into the relationship between learning transfer and leadership development and what elements can be incorporated before, during, and after the programs that can impact transfer.
Perception of Managerial Competencies Significant For Gulf College Educationa...inventionjournals
This study examines the perception of managerial competencies significant for gulf college educational leaders and managers. Twenty three (23) respondents are utilized in the study to measure their management skills in terms of communication, planning and administration, teamwork, strategic action, selfmanagement and multicultural. The researchers made use of descriptive-evaluative method. This is a research method that focuses on present condition with a purpose of discovering new truth such as increased extent of knowledge, new generalization, an increased insight into factors that are operating, discovery of new causalrelationship, or more accurate formulation of the problem to be solved. Specifically, descriptive-evaluative is a design that will appraise carefully the worthiness of the current study. Results show that managerial competencies of the respondents have no significant relationship with their profile. Although the result is not significant, still it is important to note that managerial competencies are reflection of effective performance of every educational leader and manager of the institution. Hence; the degree of influence of the respondents’ profile and their managerial competencies displayed that the degree of influence is not significant since the pvalue is consistently below 0.5. However, it is worthy to consider that only fifteen (15) percent of the combined indicators influenced the managerial competencies of the respondents.

This study was conducted to examine whether a leadership training program increases university students’ perception of leadership skills. Female students, like their male counterparts, have to play a central role in the economy of the country, regardless of the existing social constraints. Therefore, they need to be equipped with leadership skills in order to ensure that they are capable of making authentic changes in society. The survey included 42 components with seven subscales that were used to measure the following leadership skills: communication, planning, teamwork, decision-making, controlling, motivation and evaluation. The sample consisted of 36 female students who were randomly selected to participate in a two-day leadership training program at the University of Dammam. A questionnaire was distributed at the end of the program. This questionnaire was applied with the objective of estimating the students’ perception of the importance of leadership-related skills. The results demonstrate that this program significantly develops participants’ perceptions of leadership skills, as t(35) = 7.81, p < 0.05, regardless of their area of academic specialization, their history of participation in organized social activities, any previous leadership roles that they may have held, and any previous leadership training that they may have received. The authors recommend that this study be replicated on a larger sample.

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

Management and administration
Sergiovanni et al. [4] firstly defined
administration as the process of working with and
through others in order to accomplish organizational
goals efficiently. Furthermore, they viewed
administrators as those who are responsible for
accomplishing certain objectives efficiently.
Subsequently, Sergiovanni et al. [4] viewed
administration as the art and science of getting things
done efficiently.
Secondly, in terms of educational
administration, in the United States, according to
Sergiovanni et al. [4], “The governance and
administration of education is a good example of the
nature and importance of administrative activity in our
society” (p. 4). In addition, the educational
establishment ranks among the largest of public and
private enterprises. Thus, educational administrators
from all levels, from superintendents to chairpersons,
take their roles seriously in order to build quality
education.

Educational management and Educational
leadership
On [5] account, leadership is a process of
influence leading to the fulfillment the preset targets. It
involves motivating and supporting others towards a
whole vision for the school, the foundations of which
are built on clear personal and professional values.
Management is the realization of the policies of the
school and the efficient and effective maintenance of
the school’s current activities. Some say, “Managers
manage tasks, but leaders lead people,” and
“Management is doing things right, but leadership is
doing the right things.”
Educational Leadership
By definition, is the ability of an accomplished
person to influence others to achieve an objective.
Leadership in its core is about paving a path for
person/people to take part for something extraordinary
to be realized. The term "effective leadership refers to
the ability of successfully integrating and expanding the
available resources within the internal and external
environment to reach organizational or societal goals."
Leadership is a process of influence leading to
the achievement of desired purposes. Successful leaders
develop a vision for their schools based on personal and
professional values. They articulate this vision at every

opportunity and influence their staff and other
stakeholders to share the vision. The philosophy,
structures and activities of the school are geared
towards the achievement of this shared vision.
Leadership needs at least two central factors which
related inside. They are power and authority, plus the
interaction of people in groups. The leader must have a
vision and strong character to influence his followers.
Educational leadership is defined as occurring
when someone takes the initiative to facilitate the
following conditions for implementing change in
teaching and learning. They must be making
opportunities to allow participants to develop personal
understandings and to form social groups to allow for
mutual support during the change process. They also
must have encouragement to reflect on practice.
Brian J. Caldwell [6], Educational leadership
is a wide concept the notion of which is ‘building a
learning community’: bringing up the capacity of
teachers and others in the schools of the community to
supply that community with the needed teaching
programmes in with the uttermost quality.
Duignan PA, RJS. Macpherson [7]. stated that
the Educational leadership is all about providing by
example or otherwise, sound organizational decision
making, so on the pragmatic and holistic view of
knowledge growth through feedback enhanced
problem-solving, the leader’s central task is the
provision of educative leadership. That is, as someone
concerned with creating, promoting and applying
knowledge, a leader must also be an educator.
Davies [8] stated that the Leadership is about
direction-setting and inspiring others to make the
journey to a new and improved state for the school.
Management is concerned with efficiently operating in
the current set of circumstances and planning in the
shorter term for the school. Leadership is not the
provenance of one individual but a group of people,
who provide leadership in the school and, by doing so,
provide support and inspiration to others to achieve the
best for the children in their care. Leadership is not set
in isolation but is set in the context of organizations and
the wider society [8].

Definition Leadership means "the ability of an individual to
influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute
toward the effectiveness and success of the
organizations of which they are members."
Management comprises directing and controlling a
group of one or more people or entities for the purpose
of coordinating and harmonizing that group towards
accomplishing a goal.
Personality Styles Are often called brilliant and mercurial, with great
charisma. Yet, they are also often seen as loners and
private people. They are comfortable taking risks,
sometimes seemingly wild and crazy risks. Almost all
leaders have high levels of imagination
Tend to be rational, under control problem solvers.
They often focus on goals, structures, personnel, and
availability of resources. Managers’ personalities lean
toward persistence, strong will, analysis, and
intelligence.

SUMMARY
Management encompasses the collection of
processes of setting and achieving organizational goals
through its functions, such as, forecasting, organization,
coordination, training and monitoring-evaluation.
Leadership is defined as the capability to
influence, to lead and convince others to follow your
footsteps, the ability to guide, to display the human side
of business as becoming a "teacher". Interest in
leadership has shown a great deal of increment in the
early years of the twentieth century. Educational
administration utilizes the available resources and
allocates them appropriately to target the predetermined
educational goals.
