Christ And The Holy Spirit. Introduction. This Week We
CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
INTRODUCTION
This week we studied Pneumatology, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. It was an opportunity to learn
about this unsung hero of the Trinity who, though ever present with us, we seldom mention or think of
and often do not give the respect he merits. In this paper, we will address the relationship between the
Holy Spirit and Jesus resurrection and ascension and how the Holy Spirit is involved in those events.
We will also examine the Holy Spirit s work of regeneration and its impact on believers in the church.
SUMMARY
When Jesus ascended into heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to the church. (Lecture 3). He was returning
to the Father, and he left the Holy Spirit here to help all humanity. While Jesus ... Show more content

Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus remains the shepherd king for all creation. And it s not only the Holy
Spirit who is with everyone but the Father as well. In John 14:23 we hear, Jesus answered, Whoever
loves me will keep my word. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home
with them. (CEB, emphasis added). This opportunity for Trinitarian indwelling is the reason Jesus told
his disciples it would be to their advantage for him to go away. (John 16:7). (Morrison, 2007).
REGENERATIVE WORK The Holy Spirit gives life. It was he who breathed life into God s creation
and the beginning of time. He raised Jesus from the dead. He brings humanity regeneration by causing
the hearts of man to have faith in Jesus. (Lecture 3). There are Biblical reference to this changed heart
in Matthew 19:8, John 3:3, 5 7 and Titus 3:5. Regeneration is new birth. It is the Holy Spirit s working
within a person to change their sinful heart so that they can respond to God. (Bird, 2013).
Regeneration/new birth through the Holy Spirit is referenced in Genesis 2:7 and John 20:22. In both
verses, the spirit that is inhaled is not completely exhaled but rather remains in the body to give new
life to the recipient. (Weissenrieder, 2014, p. 60). Perhaps Jesus breathing on the disciples is the
answer to Nicodemus question as to how one can be born again after growing old! (Weissenrieder,
2014). The regeneration a person receives from the Holy Spirit is a new birth.

Parties Involved in the Research The main research party involved in this project was the National
Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Research Foundation. Founded in 1943, the NFIB is a
nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents the interest of small, private, and individually
owned businesses (NFIB Website, 2007). The research paper s author, Philips, is also a director for the
foundation.
Additionally, Wells Fargo provided funding for the project and submitted financial data and loan
procurement information as part of the research process. Other informational contributors for the
project included the American Small Business Association and the Federal Government s Central
Contracting Agency.
Methods Used to Conduct the Research Project The main method of research used in this project was
data analysis. Philips first analyzed federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to small
businesses. He then compared that data to specific industry sector information to determine how those
factors changed the business requirements. Next he compared his consolidated data against Wells
Fargo s financial information to determine what pitfalls and problems small business owners could run
into while applying for business startup loans. Once the main

David Koch Hall Of Human Origins Analysis
The David H. Koch Hall OF Human Origins: What does it mean to be human.
The Hall of Human Origins tells the story of human evolution in a permanent exhibition space
containing nearly 300 fossils and artifacts. The exhibition was very interesting and educative, and the
benefits of seeing the various gallery in person is nonpareil. I learnt a lot about the evolution of
humans as a specie. The faces of the various Homos and the connection I felt with them makes the
experience worthwhile. Most importantly the exhibits makes me understand more about the evolution
of the Hominids (the earliest humanlike creatures).
The first chapter of our text talks about the first humans, but it did not go into more details or mention
them by their names. The

Mexican Culture
During the early republic, Mexico was in a state of change and conflict. Different parties opposed each
other ideas in the subject matter of government. Presidents and governors were being substituted until
they obtained the appropriate individual who could handle the job to make Mexico a better country.
Mexico had been in political turmoil for several years after their independence from Spain in 1821.
About seven million Mexican citizens were poor, landless peasants. Mexico at this time had no middle
class by which was their massive gap between the peasants and the rich landowners. Mexican culture
was based on a traditional society, aristocratically with many different state factions. What made it

Maximilian had agreed to be emperor but was in need for more troops for his protection. Liberals by
this time held on to power in northwestern Mexico and parts of the Pacific Coast. The Mexican
Minister, Matias Romero, built strong allies with Americans to support Mexico. The American Civil
War ended in 1865 which was caused by Juarez s success against Maximilian s forces. Maximilian
alienated his conservative allies by trying to adopt liberal policies in which he failed to win over the

Outline For Disease Essay
Disease is based in fact and is objective, and is not based on the values of the day.
I. Argument for Position
1) A disease is not an illness, and the distinction between the two is very important.
a) A disease is defined as an unhealthy condition or a condition that affects the functioning of the
body. For example, the flu, which causes fever, muscle aches, headache, fatigue, and other similar
cold like symptoms.
b) On the other hand, an illness is normative; it does not disrupt biological functions. At one time, it
was thought that being left handed was a disease, but this would have instead been an illness.
c) To name a new disease, you must have evidence that it is what is causing the patient s problems. To
simply scramble together all the symptoms one is experiencing into one large amalgamation with no

Counterargument
1) Disease is when one deviates from the norm, and is based on our values of the time.
a) One should aspire to be an ideal person. We judge what is significant and insignificant in terms of
health, which is determined by our values (Englehardt 234).
b) Our values are relatively constant, and do not change as much as people think. We often say one
thing, but one the inside, many do not believe what they are saying.
2) An example of a disease would be masturbation. It causes a multitude of symptoms, and can even
cause death.
a) Commonly in medicine, several symptoms are grouped together into a disease. One of these
examples is masturbation. Some of its symptoms include epilepsy, loss of hearing, and physical
changes in the genitalia, and the loss of seminal fluid exaggerates these symptoms, as one ounce of the
fluid is equal to forty ounces of blood (Englehardt 236).
b) There were treatments for the disease, such as a change in diet, exercise, and acupuncture, among
others (245). They worked as in the example of the doctor, who had chosen to be castrated because his
addiction to masturbation had kept him from the outside world for seven

Results And Discussion On Weight Loss
3 Results And Discussion 3.1 Wear Test Figure 4 shows the results of loss in weight for the samples as
a function with the applied load. It has been found that the wear behavior of unreinforced alloy is
higher compared with the composites. This behavior back to the hard ceramic material protects the
surface from the severe contact [30 32]. The results given in figure 5 show that the weight loss
decreases as the percentage of the nano SiC particles increases from 0.5% to 4.5%. This could be
occurred because the ceramic material on the composite surface protects the matrix from severe
contact. Figure 4 reveals also, that when the applied load increases, the wear rate of all investigated
samples increases. Conditions of the severe wear were clearly seen from the rate of weight loss. The
recognized pattern is steady with that perceived by Alpas and Zhang [33] they propose the wear rate
increment bit by bit with the connected load in the gentle wear area. Then again, at a discriminating
load that relies upon sliding speed, the wear rate suddenly increments reflect the condition termed
serious wear. From figure 6 we can see that the composites weight loss is less than that of matrix alloy.
The obtained weight loss results show that no single, unique wear mechanism operates over the wide
range of the used weight (0 4.5%). Rather, there are several mechanisms while the change in their
relative importance as both the weight % of nano ceramic particles was varied and the

Effectiveness Of Drug Treatment Courts
The Effectiveness of Drug Treatment Courts: An Overview of Three Empirical Studies
Tincen Vithayathil
University of Baltimore
The Effectiveness of Drug Treatment Courts: Three Empirical Studies Since the origination of drug
treatment courts, there has been countless numbers of offenders who have successfully completed the
program and fought their way past drug abuse. There are also a handful of offenders who may have
struggled to change their drug abuse or addiction, and fell short of completing the program. In this
second part of my report, I will be determining whether drug treatment court programs actually work.
To accomplish this task, I will be reviewing three empirical studies to evaluate how effective the
program truly is. The first empirical study that I will be reviewing is the Orange County Juvenile Drug
Court (OCJDC) located in Orange County, California between 1999 and 2006 (Fradella, Fischer,
Kleinpeter, Koob, 2009). This study consists of 232 teenagers (164 males and 68 females) with the age
of these individuals ranging between 12 and 17 years (Fradella et al., 2009). In this study, researchers
attempt to understand why Latino teenagers were graduating from drug treatment court (DTC) at a
much lower rate than rest of the teenagers at the same institution (Fradella et al., 2009). In the Orange
County Juvenile Drug Court, 97% of the offenders are Latino or Caucasian (Fradella et al., 2009).

through mills to conclude that it had been processed in South Carolina, sold to a Bronx lumber
company, and purchased by Hauptmann in December 1931. But one ladder rail was unlike the others..

Resources for Spiritual Formation
Like many areas of study, spiritual formations offer a litany of great resource. The author has read and
worked through various spiritual formation classics and have found many to be most valuable, some
more valuable than others. Research has concluded that each bare a certain value and have proven
valuable to a certain time or season of life and ministry. Furthermore, others withstand the test of time
and season, and prove valuable continually through each every one of life s challenges.
The daily resource that has been most beneficial would be A Guide to Prayer for Ministers and Other

What Is The Most Important Result Of The Columbian Exchange
Issue Paper 2
Tino LoGerfo
History 105
What many people only know about Christopher Columbus s expedition is that he found the
Americas. While this is true, he did find a completely new frontier that was unknown to the Old
World, his findings re shaped global consumption patterns from the seventeenth century. He found a
New World filled with resources that the old world hasn t seen before. When he found the new world
he brought with him European plants and animal species that were foreign to the citizens of the New
World. The Columbian Exchange introduced many foods that are still essential to consumption in
today s world along with the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries. The potato is a prime example of
how the Columbian Exchange changed global consumption patterns because it was nutritious and had
an abundant amount of calories in it and caused a mass population increase in areas where the potato
was available. The use of slaves also increased exponentially when sugar cane was introduced. This
was a very cheap, productive way to produce a large amount of sugar and it was used by many Old
World countries. The findings of these new world products created a rise in global consumption and
production because products were introduced to the both the New World and the Old World and there
instantly became a large spike in the availability of products. Along with this, the old world decided to
go out and get themselves involved in the New World because they saw an opportunity

of death in the United States. Coronary arteries provide blood to the heart and plaque buildup in the
Coronary arteries is a condition called atherosclerosis. This buildup of plaque happens over a period of
10 15 years. The plaque can rupture and form a blood clot on its surface this blood clot can block the
blood flow and the section fed by the artery will die. This can lead to unstable angina which is severe
and can last as long as 30 minutes. The dead tissue is replaced with scar tissue and can cause
unnoticeable damage. The scar tissue formed does not contract and the heart s pumping ability is
lessened. The pumping ability is decreased because of where the scar tissue is and the size of it.
A heart attack can occur for multiple reasons; angina is one of those reasons. Angina is an illness
where not enough oxygen is getting to the heart, it cans be misdiagnosed

Assisted Reproductive Technology And It s Arguments...
The act of procreation is vital in sustaining the existence of any living thing. It is survival of the
species, they must reproduce or they will die out. In regards to the human race, there isn t a problem
regarding extinction, but of conforming to social and moral expectations. Men sometimes feel
pressure to plant the seed and women feel that motherhood is the sole aspect of femininity , while
others believe that it is just a matter of humanity and the biological need to control nature (Hansen).
The topic of reproduction is evidently a very important topic among married couples, but what

Other dilemmas may be that neither the father nor the mother is able to bond with the child. In the
case of surrogacy the surrogate mother faces some similar moral and psychological issues such as
problems pertaining to the characteristics and liability for the child when he/she is born. In fact, this is
so controversial that some states have made it illegal to enter into an agreement with a surrogate
mother. The surrogate may back out and want to keep the baby or the potential parents back out and
no longer want the child which could then cause legal issues and evil court battles. Another down side
to using reproductive technology because many of the techniques used result in multiple births
because the fertility drugs used to increase the chance of conception sometimes creates, twins, triplets,
quadruplets and so on.
Increasingly, couples are turning to reproductive technology to assist with conceiving a healthy baby
of their own. Fertility treatments that are used are intricate and very expensive. Knowledge is the

Plastic Revolutions, Inc.(PRI) is headquartered in Reidsville, North Carolina and operates primarily
on the east coast. The company recycles various grades and forms of plastic scrap and post consumer

found a few local competitors including Reily Recovery Systems, Inc., located in Haw River, North

other companies along the east coast. To confirm which companies were main competitors, we
contacted Ed Handy, General Manager at Plastic Revolutions, Inc. He confirmed that KW Plastics,
headquartered in Troy, Alabama and Envision Plastics, also located in Reidsville, North Carolina,
were their main competitors (E. Handy, personal communication, October 14, 2016).

What Are Ethical Dilemma
TYPES OF ETHICAL DILEMMAS This concept was taken from module 7 ethical dilemmas , sub
topic 1 understanding ethical dilemmas . Ethical dilemmas are situations in which there is a choice to
be made between two options, both of which are morally correct but other options are in conflict.
Choosing one of the option will result in transgressing against the other. Ethical dilemmas are also
known as moral dilemmas and it should be known that neither of the choices which presents itself in
this situation can resolve the situation in an ethically acceptable way. Nurses are faced with ethical
dilemmas daily in different areas of practice. The bad thing about such situations are that whatever

Do she render preferential treatment and administer care to the high social class patient using the best
resources or she treats them equally? EMPIRICAL KNOWLEDGE VERSUS PERSONAL BELIEF:
In these dilemmas, research based knowledge in nursing practice is contrasted to beliefs gained from
such things as religious beliefs. For example, what should a nurse do when a patient is admitted to the
hospital that desperately needs a transfusion to live but has the belief that transfusions are
unacceptable? The nurse knows this patient will die without the transfusion. How does that nurse
empathize with the patient s family who supports the family member s choice and still be supportive
of the patient s and family s right to this decision? There are also dilemma of confidentiality where
you are confused as to keep patient s information private and risk causing harm to others or disclose
patient s information and save the lives of others. There are also dilemma of non maleficence which
involves avoiding harm and also the dilemma of fidelity which involves faithfulness and honoring
promises made to patients even when you have lots of other patients to attend to and keeping the
promise seems impossible. PERSONAL

Kingdoms Rise And Fall And Out Of Their Ashes Come New...
Kingdoms rise and fall, and out of their ashes come new kingdoms. Over and over again, the pattern
recurs throughout history. China s history and culture were born of such patterns, and it all began 1.7
million years ago.1 Archaeologists from modern times found the remains of the early hominid species
Homo erectus in Yunnan Province, which was called Peking man. Peking man could walk upright,
create fire, and possessed the ability to make stone tools, but it wasn t until 2183 BCE that the vestiges
of China truly began to emerge. The Yellow River, the cradle of the Chinese civilization, flooded
regularly, and King Shun appointed his minister Yu to rectify that problem. When Yu diverted the
flood channels to the sea, he gained the epithet Yu ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Shang exhibited extremely high quality workmanship and advancement in the working of things
other than bronze, including jade and pottery. They were the most advanced bronze working
civilization in the world at the time. Most of what is known about the earliest vestiges of the Shang
culture is derived from remains of the Shang in Anyang, which was founded by King Pan Geng in
1320 BCE. The oracle bones gave the names of at least eighteen kings before Pan Geng, and
according to tradition, the Shang had moved their capital five times before finally settling at Anyang.2
Anyang was conquered by Zhou armies led by King Wu in 1050 BCE in the Battle of Muye. King
Wen founded the Zhou dynasty, but it was his son, Wu, who became the first king to take the title Son
of Heaven . He established the political concept of a Mandate of Heaven, which claimed that kings
ruled with the sanction of the gods. If a king proved corrupt, cruel, or just incompetent, it then became
appropriate for another family to overthrow the corrupt dynasty and take the throne under a new
Mandate of Heaven.3 Under the Zhou dynasty, a feudal form of government became the political
institution, with landlords becoming vassals to the emperor. Such an alliance system was vulnerable
and extremely dependent on the loyalties of the regional landlords. In 1042 BCE, Wu was succeeded
by his young son, Cheng. Cheng s uncle, the Duke of Zhou, became regent. The Duke of Zhou

Euripides Portrayal Of Women
Euripides was one of the most well known playwrights of ancient Greece. He was known as a modern
playwright because he wrote with realism, and had a doubtful way of portraying the gods in his plays.
Euripides s plays had women as the main character because he had a sympathetic way of portraying
women. The women were mainly strong and are passionate in their motives for their actions. Although
Euripides is well known now, during ancient Greece Euripides wasn t an appreciated playwright.
When there were play performances men would be the audience since women weren t allowed to take
part in or watch the plays. So with the focus of women in his plays, he gave them a voice, which
would throw men off, mainly because they would be terrified if their wives did and said the same
things. Euripides supplied a philosophical thought to the women he has written about.
Euripides was not one for female stereotypes. He gave his female characters realistic reasons for their
behavior and while it the female characters actions, such as killing her offspring and killing their
husbands, is frowned upon in a patriarchal society, it was as if Euripides made a point to have men
stop viewing women under a passive light and give more thought on how women s thoughts. Because
Euripides partial understanding of women, he redefines beauty in his female character Helen, and has
her viewed as a beautiful woman with good intentions instead of a bad woman. The beauty of a
woman has an impact on men. In

The Importance Of Lifelong Learning ( Lll ) And Continuing...
This essay will discuss the significance of Lifelong Learning (LLL) and Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) in relation to adult nursing. It has been suggested that LLL is too difficult to
define, however it has been suggested that it is participated throughout life. It is important to discuss
LLL, as it has many benefits within the healthcare system, as well as everyday life. This essay will
explore reflection as a skill important to adult nurses, as this is vital in order to evaluate their own

Laal (2011) has put forward that in modern contexts, LLL is used in everyday life, including
classroom settings, in employment, with the family, and in wider society. This is important in order to
make CPD an easier task, as there are many different settings that utilise LLL.
CPD is vital in the field of adult nursing, as healthcare is frequently being modified and amended.
This is due to many factors, such as changes of policies, which results in changes to the way adult
nurses care for patients (Narayanasamy and Narayanasamy 2007). The purpose of these policies is to
ensure patients are being cared for in a safe environment. Additionally, nurses are required to keep up
to date with amended procedures in order to ensure patients are receiving safe and effective treatment
(Eason 2010). This is vital in order to ensure patient safety and efficient treatment, not only for the
benefit of the patient but also because nurses are responsible for issues arising with a patient s care,
and are potentially liable for mistakes arising from incorrect procedure. LLL is also imperative in
order to meet the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), as without which the
adult nurse would be removed from the register. These requirements are put into place in order to
ensure that the patients are as safe as possible in their environment. Adult nurses are also required to
keep up with important advances within the NHS (Narayanasamy and Narayanasamy 2007), such

The Dalai Lama And Chinese Anger
As I was mindlessly scrolling through my news feed, I took an extra glance at a video titled Lady
Gaga and the Dalai Lama talk kindness . Needless to say I didn t pay much attention to it. Not too long
afterwards it was announced that Lady Gaga is now banned from China because of that video. This
sparked my interest quite a bit actually and I wanted to know more. The video itself showed nothing
offensive or jaw dropping, yet still the Chinese government took the liberty of firewalling the video.
Therefore, making it legally impossible for anyone using China s web browsers to watch it and make a
legitimate opinion on the video for themselves (Chinese Anger). After doing some brief research I
learned that his holiness the Dalai Lama himself, who is to Tibetan Buddhism as the Pope is to
Catholicism, has been in exile from China since 1959. Now why would the Chinese government have
such an important religious figure such as the Dalai Lama in exile and take the time to ban someone
for simply having a publicized chat with him?
In order to have a better understanding of this situation I would need to know who the Dalai Lama is
and what his position stands for. Why China has such a negative view of the Dalai Lama, while the
rest of the world seems to respect and honor him. And why China s government would censor a video
of the Dalai Lama, despite the video content being simple, respectful, and seemingly innocent.
The Dalai Lama is a Buddhist monk believed to be a manifestation

Near Earth Object Essay
Topic #2: Near Earth Objects
Though not mentioned in the news and talks of society, near earth objects (NEOs) are an international
threat for countries worldwide. A NEO is a meteoroid, asteroid, or comet pushed by the gravitational
attraction of nearby planets, potentially entering the earth s orbit and thereby pose a danger of
collision. Space agencies around the world express the universal outlook that NEOs must be somehow
controlled or mitigated in their magnitude of impact. Austria, along with many countries, expresses
deep concern over this issue and is more than willing to participate in this world saving quest. As a

Aside from Austria s membership in the ESA, there is rapid advancements in technology within the
country, leading to its growing intention of joining SMPAG as an individual member in the near

In regards to the solutions for this issue, Austria welcomes the assistance of other countries and
recommends the development of a system to regulate the responsibilities of countries on such
problem. Austria believes countries should have the choice of applying for special status (or partial
special status), a request for help from the more technologically advanced member states. Larger and
more capable countries will be presumed as responsible for the NEOs affecting them if they choose
not to apply for assistance. The UN SPIDER is precisely the platform to use for the sharing of NEO
information and the distribution of responsibilities. Concerning the method for mitigation of NEOs,
Austria appreciates the efforts countries have placed into the many suggestions, but stands against the
use of nuclear power in the proposed blast detection method. In forms of health, the development of
nuclear technologies are associated with many health risks; the release of radiation, being one of the
most prominent dangers. Not to mention, the financial costs of nuclear power is a sum of many which

  • 2. Christ And The Holy Spirit. Introduction. This Week We CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT INTRODUCTION This week we studied Pneumatology, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. It was an opportunity to learn about this unsung hero of the Trinity who, though ever present with us, we seldom mention or think of and often do not give the respect he merits. In this paper, we will address the relationship between the Holy Spirit and Jesus resurrection and ascension and how the Holy Spirit is involved in those events. We will also examine the Holy Spirit s work of regeneration and its impact on believers in the church. SUMMARY When Jesus ascended into heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to the church. (Lecture 3). He was returning to the Father, and he left the Holy Spirit here to help all humanity. While Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus remains the shepherd king for all creation. And it s not only the Holy Spirit who is with everyone but the Father as well. In John 14:23 we hear, Jesus answered, Whoever loves me will keep my word. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. (CEB, emphasis added). This opportunity for Trinitarian indwelling is the reason Jesus told his disciples it would be to their advantage for him to go away. (John 16:7). (Morrison, 2007). REGENERATIVE WORK The Holy Spirit gives life. It was he who breathed life into God s creation and the beginning of time. He raised Jesus from the dead. He brings humanity regeneration by causing the hearts of man to have faith in Jesus. (Lecture 3). There are Biblical reference to this changed heart in Matthew 19:8, John 3:3, 5 7 and Titus 3:5. Regeneration is new birth. It is the Holy Spirit s working within a person to change their sinful heart so that they can respond to God. (Bird, 2013). Regeneration/new birth through the Holy Spirit is referenced in Genesis 2:7 and John 20:22. In both verses, the spirit that is inhaled is not completely exhaled but rather remains in the body to give new life to the recipient. (Weissenrieder, 2014, p. 60). Perhaps Jesus breathing on the disciples is the answer to Nicodemus question as to how one can be born again after growing old! (Weissenrieder, 2014). The regeneration a person receives from the Holy Spirit is a new birth. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, the flu, which causes fever, muscle aches, headache, fatigue, and other similar cold like symptoms. b) On the other hand, an illness is normative; it does not disrupt biological functions. At one time, it was thought that being left handed was a disease, but this would have instead been an illness. c) To name a new disease, you must have evidence that it is what is causing the patient s problems. We often say one thing, but one the inside, many do not believe what they are saying. 2) An example of a disease would be masturbation. It causes a multitude of symptoms, and can even cause death. a) Commonly in medicine, several symptoms are grouped together into a disease. One of these examples is masturbation. Some of its symptoms include epilepsy, loss of hearing, and physical changes in the genitalia, and the loss of seminal fluid exaggerates these symptoms, as one ounce of the fluid is equal to forty ounces of blood (Englehardt 236). b) There were treatments for the disease, such as a change in diet, exercise, and acupuncture, among others (245). • 11. Results And Discussion On Weight Loss 3 Results And Discussion 3.1 Wear Test Figure 4 shows the results of loss in weight for the samples as a function with the applied load. It has been found that the wear behavior of unreinforced alloy is higher compared with the composites. This behavior back to the hard ceramic material protects the surface from the severe contact [30 32]. The results given in figure 5 show that the weight loss decreases as the percentage of the nano SiC particles increases from 0.5% to 4.5%. This could be occurred because the ceramic material on the composite surface protects the matrix from severe contact. Figure 4 reveals also, that when the applied load increases, the wear rate of all investigated samples increases. Conditions of the severe wear were clearly seen from the rate of weight loss. The recognized pattern is steady with that perceived by Alpas and Zhang [33] they propose the wear rate increment bit by bit with the connected load in the gentle wear area. Then again, at a discriminating load that relies upon sliding speed, the wear rate suddenly increments reflect the condition termed serious wear. From figure 6 we can see that the composites weight loss is less than that of matrix alloy. The obtained weight loss results show that no single, unique wear mechanism operates over the wide range of the used weight (0 4.5%). There are also a handful of offenders who may have struggled to change their drug abuse or addiction, and fell short of completing the program. The first empirical study that I will be reviewing is the Orange County Juvenile Drug Court (OCJDC) located in Orange County, California between 1999 and 2006 (Fradella, Fischer, Kleinpeter, Koob, 2009). This study consists of 232 teenagers (164 males and 68 females) with the age of these individuals ranging between 12 and 17 years (Fradella et al., 2009). What Is The Most Important Result Of The Columbian Exchange Issue Paper 2 Tino LoGerfo History 105 What many people only know about Christopher Columbus s expedition is that he found the Americas. While this is true, he did find a completely new frontier that was unknown to the Old World, his findings re shaped global consumption patterns from the seventeenth century. He found a New World filled with resources that the old world hasn t seen before. When he found the new world he brought with him European plants and animal species that were foreign to the citizens of the New World. The Columbian Exchange introduced many foods that are still essential to consumption in today s world along with the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries. The potato is a prime example of how the Columbian Exchange changed global consumption patterns because it was nutritious and had an abundant amount of calories in it and caused a mass population increase in areas where the potato was available. The use of slaves also increased exponentially when sugar cane was introduced. This was a very cheap, productive way to produce a large amount of sugar and it was used by many Old World countries. The findings of these new world products created a rise in global consumption and production because products were introduced to the both the New World and the Old World and there instantly became a large spike in the availability of products.
