Coda Bar
Codabar- Codabar was developed by Pitney Bowes in 1972. This type of
barcode is discrete, self checking symbology. It encodes 16 different
characters and 4 start/ stop characters. This symbology is used by U.S blood
banks, photo labs, fedEx and airbills.

Code-11: It is 20 numeric code including wide/ narrow check
digits. It encodes any length string, consists digit(0-9), dash(-),
and start and stop character.
Code-39: First alphanumeric barcode symbology, that
encodes 39-43 characters, letters(A-Z), digit (0-9).
Code-128: it is very high density barcode symbology, it is
128 alphanumeric

ITF-14 (Interleaved Two of Five)
ITF-14: It is GSI implementation of Interleaved 2of 5 Barcode, It
used to encode Global trade item number. It is generally used
For packaging of products. It encodes 14 digits

Advantages of Linear Barcode
 Easy to Design
 Easy to read or Scan
 Readable by simple scanner
 No special hardware and
software require to scan
 More compatible with older
handheld scanners
 Compatible for clinical
applications
 No distortion on the curved side
of a tube
