A few things to remember
● @username sends a public tweet to this
person. Anyone following you and that
person will see the tweet in their timeline

followers. Great for shoutouts and kudos

  • 10. Don’t be an egghead Didi is probably a really nice person but Didi will have better success without an egg head and some authentic engagement.

Anyone following you and that person will see the tweet in their timeline ● .@username broadcasts a tweet to your followers. Great for shoutouts and kudos ● #tags - use them, but just one a tweet to give context and expand reach ● RT posts you like, add context when possible ● When you receive a mention SAY THANK YOU! ● Sharing is CARING, so share on topic ● Steer clear from negativity, politics or anything that can put a negative spin on you & your brand unless that is your biz!

  • 22. Hands-0n After hours homework: 1. Check out Feedly, Paper.li or another aggregation platform. Aggregation saves time and surfaces the gems for sharing 2. Create a Buffer account. You can queue up to 10 posts for free, after that it’s 9$ a month. 3. Queue content automatically from Paper.li or Feedly to your Buffer. Consistency is important in attracting an audience.

  • 25. The hard truth The bad news ● Adults have 3-8 second attention spans. Use images ● The lifespan of a tweet is about 5 minutes ● 1% of your followers see your Tweets The good news! ● 90% of people will respond to @mention. Use that as an opportunity to say ‘Hi’. ● Visuals drive 180% more engagement than posts without ● Visual content is processed 60,000x faster than non visual content ● Being human wins hearts!

Be human, not robotic Take 30 minutes a day over the next 30 days ● Share one inspiring visual or quote 2x week (tweetchat, lists…) ● Share images w/posts on 50% of posts ● Add a @mention to each post (either author or source) ● RT the posts of people you want to notice you ● Show emotion, show you are real ● Create from the heart (it only takes a few minutes with canva.com!)
