Tuesday
Analyze Learners:My class is an assorted mixture of girls and boys. I have 10 boys
and 9 girls, 16 Caucasian and 3 African American. No learning impairments.

State Objectives: 9th grade history students will be able to explain why the Japanese
attacked Pearl Harbor, what the United States did afterwards, and why this attack was so horrific
in one day using Webquests and Youtube with 100% accuracy.

Select Methods: I will teach my students all about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
I will show them videos of the bombings of Pearl Harbor using YouTube.com and having them
complete a Webquest (http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=38262). I will have their webquests
graded by the next day.

Utilize Media and Material:
-

First I will show the students videos of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the aftermath.

-

Then I will introduce them to Zunal.com and webquests.

-

I will walk around the room and help anyone who needs assistance for the rest of the class
period.

Then I will write notes on the Smart Board of their emotions they believe the US felt after
the bombing

The students will then get on their computers and work on their webquests in groups of 2 or
3.

Require Learner Participation:I will make sure throughout the class that
everyone is on Zunal.com, and if they are caught on another website they will have points
deducted. I will help everyone with their web quests if they have any questions so everyone
should get a good grade as long as they participate. Each student will do a summary of their
webquest and give 3 facts on the board about what they learned from the web quest.

Evaluate and Revise: This evaluation is found on the web quest...

Revisions can be made after the assignment has been completed, but must be completed at home and
brought in the next day. If they want extra credit, they can complete another webquest for homework
and bring it into class the next day as long as it pertains to Pearl Harbor.
