2. Analyzing my learners
 The students I am teaching are in the eighth grade.
There are 20 total students: 13 Caucasian, 7 African
American. There are 11 boys and 9 girls.

3. Main Objective
 The students will be taught the different sides of
power during WWII and what roles each country
played.
 They will use this knowledge and create (in groups) a
project on a country of their choice and what role
that country played in the war. They will present
these projects to the class when the lessons have
been completed.

4. Breakdown
 Monday – Adolph Hitler’s rise to power
 Tuesday – The Early Years of WWII
 Wednesday – Pearl Harbor/America’s Role
 Thursday – Key Battles/Allies-Axis Powers
 Friday – The Fall of the Axis Powers

5. Monday
 Students will learn about Hitler’s rise to power.
 I will start by discussing a bit about Hitler followed
by showing them videos on YouTube:



about Adolf Hitler.

things such as maps to show the location of countries
and battles and clips from several different World
War II movies
 I will allow the children to use computers for
research when they work on their projects in class.
