Any body when gets contact with other body, there comes the role of
Tribology.
Study of [ Friction + Wear + Lubrication ] = TRIBOLOGY
“We are born due to lubricants, live with the frictions and die due to wear”
The ability of fluid film to carry loads depends directly on the
viscosity of the lubrication.
As the fluid resist flow, the W.D. on fluid is converted into
heat.
FRICTION  HEAT  to eliminate  LUBRICANTS
Keywords to ponder :
• Viscosity
• Lubricants
• Newtonian fluids
• Shear forces

Instrument used to measure the viscosity of a fluid.
VIBRATIONAL VISCOMTER :
• Measuring the damping of an oscillating
electromechanical resonator immersed in a
fluid whose viscosity is to be determined.
• The higher the viscosity, the larger the
damping imposed on the resonator
