  • 3. Confront the Brutal Facts  Optimism must be balanced with realism  Have unwavering faith that you will prevail  Never confuse faith with facts  Set clear goals and priorities  Address underperformance  Commit yourself to develop a leadership team
  • 4. Walk Slowly Among Your Team  Leadership is influence not coercion  Create a healthy balance of personal and professional interest  Pay attention when people avoid you  Give your team credit by acknowledgement  Build you team up by encouragement  Empower your team to succeed
