2. Trouble shooting
Problems Solutions
The noise from cars and other
people could interfere with
the sound.
When we edit the footage
make sure all sound from the
clips is muted so the song is
clear over them.
If footage is out of focus. Film a lot of shots many times
so we have a large number of
footage to choose from.
If the lighting is dark when we
film so that the actors cant be
scene or details can’t be seen
in the footage.
Bring studio lights with us to
make sure we always have
clear lighting when filming.
Members of the public being
in shot. Not only would we
not have their permission for
them to be in the video but
also it could ruin the realism
of the video if they’re staring
at the camera or the actors
etc.
Make sure that the spaces we
want to film are empty and if
strangers do get in shot make
sure they’re not in focus or ask
for their permission to still use
the clip if needed.
3. Risk Assessment
• Don’t film any sequences on main roads or near main roads
in order to reduce chance of accidents
• When filming in public in areas where people live try to not
make too much noise so that you don’t disturb residents.
• Keep equipment safe and also put cameras and tripods into
the bags so that they do not get broken or get lost.
• Make sure that you are always holding the camera or
equipment so that it doesn’t get stolen
• Stay clear of really public areas so that strangers don’t get
caught in the shot who don’t want to be in the shot.
