2. Props
• Props could be a hazard if not using them for the correct use and this could
cause disruption to people or for the props to get broken. In order to stop this
from happen they will need to be stored in a box or cupboard when not in use so
they are out of the way and protected. Also when filming if we have them in a
box then we can always put them back in there so they don’t get lost or broken.
One of our props is a guitar and in order to protect this from getting scratch or
damaged it need to be kept in a guitar bag or case. Not only does it protect the
guitar but it makes it easier to travel to and from the location.
• Liquids- We are having bubbles in our music video and to prevent any spillages
when filming we need to make sure the lip is kept on the bubble pot or keep on
a flat service. As bubbles have soap liquid in it the injuries will be more serious
than just water if spilt.
• Food- Bubble gum can become a sticky situation when not treated in a good
fashion or messed around with. The individual bubble gum needs to be kept in
its wrapper away in a plastic bag so that it cant touch any other items or
costume. When eating the bubble gum the activity we do must be kept to a
minimum so that no one chokes on it. After used the gum should be put in a bin
to respect the environment and also having chewing gum on the floor doesn’t
look professional.
3. Costumes
The costumes that we have for filming need to be treated with
respect so they don’t dirty or creased. As there maybe more
than one costume for performers the best idea is to keep all
accessories and lose clothing in a box and any smart clothes in
suite holders. So that performers put costume back in the
correct box there will be a label on the box saying costume. Not
only does it protect the clothing but also it keeps the day
organised and easy to find exactly what you are looking for.
Doing all of this will protect the costumes from:
• Dirt
• Damage
• Tears
• Losing them
4. Technical Equipment
The technical Equipment used:
• Camera
• Phones
• Ipods
• Ipad
All of the above are all valued items and need to be well
protected and looked after. As this will be on the filming day
phones will have to be switched off to prevent distraction to the
performers and so the video camera doesn’t pick up the sound.
If it happens to rain on the day that we film them all electrical
item should be kept away because the water could stop the
devices from working. This could also mean having to change
the day that we shoot.
5. Tripods
Tripod need a professional bag to carry it in to make it easier for
traveling to location and also to protect it if dropped. If anything
happens to get on the tripod it need to be cleaned as soon as
possible to keep a clean working environment.
Tripod need to be placed on a flat surface in order to make the
recording look flat. If not this could disrupt the audience from
watching the video. Also for our safety if it is flat them in means
when moving the camera on the tripod we will keep balance if it
was the other way then there could be injuries.
6. Location/Setting
On the filming day we need to review our location to make sure
that it is safe to work in. This is very important to check as we
don’t want any series of injuries or disruption in our music video
otherwise this could cause our audience to zone out and not be
intrigued to the rest on the music video. This means so there is
no:
• Slips
• Trips
• Construction of builders
• Any cars that may be dangerous
• Litter
• Sharp objects
7. Performers/Actors
• Performers need to be well aware of the environment that
they are working in. This will mean reviewing it in advance to
know the step that they will taking and where everything will
be placed. When filming by roads if cars are approaching they
need to make sure they are well out of the way allowing lots
of space for the passing cars ( taking time when crossing
roads)
• Before filming the scenes performers should warm up all areas
of them body; voice and muscles are important to warm up.
This is so the performer doesn’t hurt and muscle or cause
damage to their voice.
