1. Carscenes
Benefits
Access to the car will not be difficult as me and one of my actors
both drive. Therefore I have options to both vehicles. Most shots
will be taken from behind the couple creating an almost
silhouette effect, with the absence of light. The shots taken from
the front of the car will be exposed to natural open lighting,
allowing the quality of the footage to be a lot of more
professional.
Limitations/challenges
One limitation is that due to the speed it may not be possible to
maintain a steady shot. One other limitation may be that in a car
may be distracting to the driver and dangerous to my self.
Solution
Instead of solving my steady shot I felt it would be beneficial to
my music video. Giving the footage a natural element. When
editing if I do not like it, I can use the warp stabilizer effect on
premier pro. To solve my danger problem, I ensured that any
footage was taken on an empty road, I ensure that all seatbelts
were worn and that the driver did not drive fast.

2. Bathroommirror
Benefits
Visually, these forms of shots are quite invasive and personal
highlighting the emotions of the actor. It’s a unique ‘from over
the shoulder’ shot which may be aesthetically appealing to the
video.
Limitations/challenges
The bathroom lighting may not be very powerful therefore
darkening the shots and making the visuals less appealing.
Solution
To solve this problem I can use camera lights, to lighten up my
environment. Also if it still becomes too dark I can edit the
brightness on premier pro.

3. Dancestudio
Benefits
The dance studio Is pre set up therefore is clear of
the location and shows exactly the intentions of the
shots.
Limitations/challenges
Being an open space, there may be other people or
public audiences watching and being shown in
shots.
Solution
To prevent public being shown I will ensure that
there is never a public person being shown in a
shot.

4. Addingtonviewpoint
Benefits
Due to its outdoor nature there is plenty of natural lighting. The
location is interesting with the view of the London skyline,
therefore introducing an interesting aesthetically appealing
element.
Limitations/challenges
There may be other passers bye in which I may disturb or my
actors may be distracted by, therefore not being able to gain the
best shots as possible. Also I may accidentally shot civilians who
do not want to be involved in the music video.
Solution
To not disturb any other people, I will go to the viewpoint during
a quite time and ensure that there is little to no people around. If
there is anyone I will inform them of my plans and ensure I shoot
without them in my frame.

5. Bedroom
Benefits
The bedroom is a quite location which shows intimacy and the
authenticity of the relationship. Due to the large windows and strong
lights I am able to create scenes with great lighting. Also with my already
built in colour changing lights I can create visually appealing images with
a range of colours, which suit the conventions of a dance video.
Limitations/challenges
Depending on the time of day the lighting may be poor as the room
is only facing the sun during the evening. Therefore causing a short
window of time for there to be good natural lighting.
Solution
To ensure I do not face this problem I will ensure that I film in
this location during the right time of day.
