Music video Risk Assessment
1. Tonight Alive Human Interaction – Risk Assessment
Activity Risk Possible ways to prevent the risk from
happening
Filming Roads, parked cars and other
people walking
Some of my music video will be
filmed in Ward Jackson Park in
Hartlepool it is vital for me to ensure
that the I film where there will be no
danger to me or my actress. To
overcome this I will film when the
park is not busy and very quiet, to
ensure that I get the best
performance from my actress and one
that I will be able to use in my music
video.
Weather conditions Rain, snow, ice can make it
hard for traveling to
locations, or it could make
shooting to be canceled as it
is far to slippy to film
outside on the pavements.
Also if I am walking with the
camera I need to be very
careful that I don’t slip as
this will result in camera
damage that I will have to
pay for as a result
I know for a fact that I do not want
to film when it is sunny, as it would
not work with my music video. I
would prefer to shoot on a cloudy day
as it would really help set the mood
for the audience when they watch my
music video. I cannot prevent the
weather but what I will do is look up
the weather forecast to see which
days are the best days for me to film
my music video. To prevent me from
dropping the camera I will double
check the ground to make sure that it
is not slippy and if needs be I will also
create a path that I know I not alippy
Camera Dying Camera could die during a
shoot therefore resulting in
no footage being collected
from that shoot
Every night or after every shoot I will
make sure that I charge my camera to
make sure that I have the maximum
amount of charge that I have for the
next shoot that I will do.
Public consent to filming As I am going to be filming
in public locations (streets,
parks), people may not be
happy will that and try to
ruin my footage as a result o
complain.
To prevent this I will film an hour
before closing as there will not be a
lot of people there I will also try and
avoid going on a weekend as there
will be more people there. Another
thing that I will do to prevent this
form happening is to stop filming
when people walk past, therefore I am
giving them the privacy and the
respect that they need
Memory Card full If my memory card gets to
full then I will to be able to
film.
After every shoot that I do I will make
sure that I empty my memory card, as
therefore nothing will be lost or
deleted and I will have an empty
memory card for the next day of
2. filming.
Dark footage As the nights are becoming
darker as it is that time of
the year I need to make sure
that my footage is bright
enough for my audience to
see what it going on, but
also for Sophie and myself to
see where we are going.
I will have to work around my college
times as when I leave college it is
almost dark and this makes it unfit
for filming, therefore my best times
for filming would be on a Thursday
straight after college or on a late
afternoon on a Sunday.
Broken tripod I will need to use a tripod to
nice steady footage, as if I
hold the camera the frame
will be shaky. When I am
filming my music video I will
need to make sure that the
tripod is steady as it could
fall or be blown into
someone and knock them
over, and this would result in
the camera and tripod being
broken.
To prevent the tripod being blown
over I try not to film on a very windy
day and I will also use something
sensible to hold the tripod down so
that I does not blow over or knock
someone over.
