read similar situations in other novels, however, the author describes the environment
unlike any other. First, I wondered what the aliens were planning, and what effect it

way, some trying to communicate with the aliens, and others just wondering about
them. It felt as though we were all moths flying around a bug zapper, too mystified

Envy plagues those who cannot afford these so called luxuries, causing people to
needlessly divide themselves. These divisions delusion people with the notion that in
order to truly feel happy, they too must to buy these goods in order to feel satisfied.
Subsequently, these drive people to lose sight of the truly important aspect of life:

Due to these tedious conditions, the people wanted to leave Jonestown, and to
leave they would need Jones permission to do so, but Jones did not anyone to
leave. Due to complaints, Leo Ryan, a US Representative form San Mateo
California went to Jonestown along with some members of NBC film crew. To
Ryan, everything looked fine, until he was secretly informed that the people were
held against their will. On November 18, 1978, Ryan announced he would take
anyone who wished to leave back to the US. Ryan and the others boarded a truck,
but Ryan was attacked by a member of the People s Temple, because he stayed back
to make sure everyone that wanted go left. Ryan was not hurt, but when the truck got
to the airport tarmac, members of the People s Temple started shooting Ryan and the

Media is not a new concept and has been in existence since spoken word. The
evolution of media has changed greatly and is currently in the golden age of
televised, printed, and internet based consumer interaction. These new forms of
media allow near instant interaction with a channel s staff of actors, anchors,
journalists, meteorologists, news experts, and models. Recently, news stations have
been under intense scrutiny for their continued inadequate role in the advancement
of women in the workforce and their disregard for how women are over sexualized.
Televised news has been traditionally a male dominated career in the United States

as small stories journalists, editors, receptionists, and clerks for these media
companies women had very limited opportunities for advancement in their careers
while working for a fraction of the salary and hourly pay as their male counterparts.
The struggle for the progression of women has been a constant topic in the field of
news mediaas women have traditionally been locked out of leadership positions in
companies. This thought process is now referred to as the glass ceiling, which still
