The Character Analysis Of Shameless As A Dramatic
Comedy
Have you ever wanted to watch a dramatic comedy, but could never find the one ? I
would highly recommend Shameless for anyone one who is having trouble finding
the one . There are many television shows that can keep anyone entertained, but
Shameless has all the right factors that are needed to be a great dramatic comedy.
Shameless is a good dramatic comedy because the characters and situations are
relatable to real life, the TV show has moral teachings, and it s very suspenseful.
One of the things that makes Shameless such a great dramatic comedy is how the
characters and situations are so relatable to real life. It s important for a TV show
to make the audience feel like they re connected to the characters as they deal with
their situations in each episode. There is evidence in every season that shows the
relativity between the characters and real life situations. For example, in season 6,
episode 1; Frank is currently dealing with losing a loved one, while both daughters,
Fiona and Debbie are making decisions about their pregnancy. Fiona begs for her
little sister to do adoption or abortion. Debbie doesn t quite understand how Knue 2
having a child while being fourteen, can ruin a lot of great opportunities later. Fiona
chooses to have an abortion since she cannot make enough money to support
herself or all her siblings. In addition to relatable characters and situations,
Shameless also offers moral teachings. How does a dramatic comedy offer moral
teachings? Shameless provides many examples on how drug and alcohol abuse
affects a family home. There is also evidence on how Shameless provides that. In
season 4, episode 5; Fiona celebrates something good that has happened, but not in
a correct way. She decides to buy drugs, and leave them out where her little brother,
Liam, can get his hands on causing him to overdose. Fiona then faces the
consequences on the abuse of drugs, and the toll it can have on a family. Another
prime example would be in season 3, episode 7; Fiona fights for her rights to become
legal guardian over her younger siblings after being taken away from
Beyond the Divide Book Report Essay
Book Report
BEYOND THE DIVIDE
By: Kathryn Lasky
The reason I chose this book is because it is about a different culture and a different
life than of anyone I know.
Beyond the Divide is about a young Amish girl who felt suffocated living in the
Amish community. Meribah Simon had grown up in the Amishcommunity and the
strict rules of the community felt like walls closing in around her. Her father had
been shunned by the elders of the community and when Meribah found out that her
father was leaving to join the gold rush she decided to go with him. On the trip to
California there were many good times and just as many bad; if not more. On the
journey she and her father were traveling with a group of people that were going to ...

When some time had passed Meribah s father had gotten a wound from helping
someone fix something. When their wagon got broken down they could not go on
any further and the families with them did not want to take her father but they
agreed to take her. She loved her father dearly and would not let him be left behind.
The greed for gold caused many of the people to leave behind many of the others in
the group for the sake of getting to the gold as soon as possible. I can t say that I
wouldn t have been a better person than that because I have never been in such a
situation. I only hope that my choices would be different and greed would be
overcome with love and the choice to stay and help a human being in need. The
determination to survive was greater than just giving up and dying. Meribah and
her father were left behind to fend for themselves. The cold had come and it was
her job to keep her and her father alive because her father was ill and could not
help. She went out and hunted for things to build a little wagon on her own. There
were many things others had thrown out so there were many things to choose from.
I think that when faced with tough situations a person will somehow get through if
they have the determination. Sometimes when I have to do something and there is
no one to help or do it for me I feel as if I have that responsibility and I do what I
have to do. Many changes came

Essay on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Born a Prince, Left a King
Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and I d
like to take a minute, just sit right there, I ll tell you how I became the prince of a
town called Bel air. These are the opening lines to the intro song of the television
comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel Air , that me and every 90 s kids with a TV has
had memorized since the day we first heard it. Even as you read that first sentence,
you can t help but to rap the words, and hum the tune as you envision a young Will
Smith spinning on his royal chair with the graffiti background. The effect of the
lyrics and the music video to this intro song goes way beyond pure entertainment
value. The music video and lyrics spread happiness, ... Show more content on

By making Will Smith appear like a typical, credible African American youth the
appeal to the viewers is strengthened.
However, the stereotypes are not the only example for ethos in the music video.
Will s clothing and vernacular make a good case for ethical appeal as well.
Throughout the video Will is dressed in loud bright colored clothing with various
trendy accessories such as hats and sneakers. The clothing helps Will to appeal to
the younger viewers because it s something the viewers can identify with. Also Will
s upbeat tone and hipster lingo help his credibility of acting as an average young
black male.
While ethos plays a large role in the appeal of the video, pathos plays a role equally
as large. The pathological appeal in the music video is present from start to finish.
The video opens with a background soundtrack of an upbeat rap tune. The tune is
catchy and grabs the viewer s attention immediately. Will Smith compliments the
catchy beat by rapping an energetic rap. The rap itself demands for viewers attention
because it appeals to their taste in music.
Whereas music is the main avenue of appeal in the video, there are other pathos
elements present. While Will is playing basketball, the ball accidently hits a nearby
thug who takes offense and physically confronts Will. The thug threatens and
bullies Will until Will s mom gets so scared for Will s well being that she sends him
to live his aunt and uncle in Bel Air. Nearly every kid in
Uc Berkeley Research Paper
UC Berkeley: Origin of Free Speech, Topic of Extremes
Here we go again; yet again do we, as Americans, get to see another protest go
violent, but what is it about this time? Following up with recent news, Milo
Yiannopolis, a highly controversial right wing speaker and Breitbart columnist, was
forced to evacuate UC Berkeley after a protest broke into violence as many left
protesters began destroying nearby areas and attacking innocent people. Naturally,
with such a controversial person coming to UC Berkeley and such a violent
occurring as a result, many opinions came out to the surface including two extreme
articles that we will focus on: a left wing article from Daily Cal by Luis Tenorio and
Miranda Smith and a right wing article from Fox News by Todd Starnes.
Throughout the article by Tenorio and Smith, the violence of the event is written off
and excused as a defense, saying that it crossed the line of tolerance as they claim
that [tolerance] ends where harm begins and that it is an event about safety and

Through this, it can be seen that they decided to focus on what they see, which is a
valid view, and to deny the presence of other viewpoints and issues that are present.
It may be true that yes, for you two, this is solely an issue on personal safety;
however for many who disagree with you, it is a major issue of free speech and
academic freedom as this event presents itself as an attack on the First Amendment
and academic freedom. By shutting down the event with violence, it is forcefully
cutting off and blocking the differing opinion and ultimately isolating students,
including those of which who want to hear different opinions, within a bubble of the
ideas you hold. Does that not sound like an attack on academic freedom and free

Viable Crypto Currency or Investment Bubble Essay
Imagine a currency that can be sent around the globe instantly from one client to
another, without any hefty transaction fees. Although, this achievement is seemingly
impossible, Bitcoin, a form of digitalized monetary value, accomplishes just that.
Until recently, money has always been perceived as a physical note or coin that can
be used to make transactions. However, Bitcoin is basically an encrypted digital
block that can be stored in an online wallet and securely stored, sent, and received
via a special network on the Internet (Friedman). Programmed in 2009 by an
anonymous group known as Satoshi Nakomoto, (Timpane), Bitcoin appeared on
online exchanges as the world s first decentralized virtual currency. It has been bought
and sold... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without a bank to manage the supply of this crypto currency, the price is unregulated
and proves to be extremely volatile. This price fluctuation is one quality that is
holding the legitimacy of Bitcoin back because it needs a consistent value for
practical use in the monetary world. As speculative investors buy and sell Bitcoin,
the price varies at extreme rates. But in support of Bitcoin s long term future, the
price has shown a steady uptrend in the past year, peaking at around $1200 (See
Apendix I). Eventually, a steady value will be reached to establish the actual price of
Bitcoin. The positive aspect of Bitcoin s decentralization greatly outweighs this
temporary problem of volatility. The lack of the Federal Reserve s regulation
essentially allows this virtual currency to eradicate inflation. Ed Grabianowski
describes inflation as a process when a unit of currency loses value because more
units are produced and put into circulation by the regulator in attempts to solve
financial issues ( What Exactly is Inflation? ). Bitcoin does not face this problem
since it has a predetermined supply: 21 million digitalized blocks ( Betting on the
Bitcoin Buzz ). Instead of having a regulator through banks and the government,
which can inherently fail, Bitcoin relies on regulation through a mathematical
equation. To comprehend this regulation, the process of mining must first be
understood.

Analysis Of Dm Slides
We used Sam S. to represent cool in our advertisement. He is wearing a tank top
and is the only one in the hallway wearing the DM Slides. He could be seen as the
trendsetter of the school. Sam K. notices this in the first scene of the ad. One
common fear of HPHS students is not fitting in . I believe that this is a shared fear
because people fear not having any friends and being outside of the in crowd. If
people think that what they re wearing is no longer in style and new fashion styles
are being brought in, they will likely follow these trends as a desperate attempt to
assure their social status and become once again a desirable member of society.

For example, the commons are a place where cool people eat lunch with a clean
glass window making it very easy to see who is sitting in there. So if cool people
wear our slides, the insecure students striving to be like the confident kids in the
commons have something to improve on, their shoes. As a marketing strategy it could
be very beneficial towards our brand to provide DM Slides to kids sitting in the
commons for a cheaper price, or even free to promote the quantity of cool kids
wearing them. This will result in a trickle down effect that is seen throughout all
clothing phases; the trendsetters set, and everyone else consumes. Throughout my
4 years at HPHS we have observed that popularity and the high school standard of
happiness revolves around a very unique cycle. This consists of the logic that if
higher up people like you, you get to sit in the commons, and as a result, boys and
especially girls (from a boy s perspective), will notice you. This brings up the
opposing philosophy that if you are not constantly noticed you lose value
/popularity. The cool kids, although may be very insecure personally, surround
themselves with other confident kids to hide their individuality. By branding our
slides to represent the newest trend of cool, students who feel they are on the cusp of
being cool can now finally get their big break. Our product s clever name evokes a
mixture of emotions from our audience. DM Slides is a play off of the term DM s
which is a pop culture abbreviation for Direct Messages, which is what you use to
contact your desired lover. Slide is a new common pop culture term used to represent
going forth and messaging the person. For example, Keith slid into Ashley s DM s
last night. Indirectly, our advertisement and brand allows you to be cool , and as we
ve regarded already, cool people impress YOUR lovers. If you
The End Of The Medieval Period Essay
There are many factors that led to the end of the medieval period and brought about
the emergence of the Renaissance period, otherwise known as, the age of rebirth.
Some of these factors would have a devastating impact on Europe, which we can
still see to this very day. During the Medieval period, the feudal aristocracy and the
Catholic Church emerged as the dominant political forces and were instrumental in
imposing social and economic order on the people. Peasants were organized within
the manorial system as serfs; the guild system dominated economic life and imposed
its own wage, price, and production controls in the system. In religious life, the
church reached its height of power and influence, not only the spiritual, but also the
secular life of Europe. Europeans were feeling bold to launch an expansion of
Western Christendom and sometime between the 11th and 13th centuries, this took
place in the form of the Crusades in the Baltic border lands. However, the 14th
century would be an era of multiple crises that would weaken and even destroy many
of the medieval institutions of Europe that seemed the most durable, and in their
place, pave the way for the development of modern Europe which we all see today.
During the 11th and 13th centuries, Europe, organized strict feudal lines, finally
experiencing the social and political organization necessary for successful agriculture
and sufficient crop production. Since much of Europe had been forest and unsettled
land after

A teacher could either practice a art , hobby or craft or encourage visiting experts to

Maria Montessori states she has not developed this arts program without analysing
the difficulties and barriers involved. Her objective is to give the child the
opportunity to prepare for the means of expression. Discovery of the Child , page

takes the form of the skill building activities set on trays in the art corner. The child
selects as with the other areas of work an activity and follows it in a prescribed way
as demonstrated by the teacher. These activities are especially designed to develop
muscular control such as the ones needed for efficient scissor and a pencil.
There are threading activities for needle craft, folding activities which can lead to

Comparing The Black Cat And An Occurrence At Owl

An intriguing article states: We humans are capable of immense love and
sensitivity but we are also capable of greed, hatred, and brutality...are humans
essentially good and, if so, what is the cause of our evil side? Are we evil by design
or corruption? (The Dark Side). This quote relates significantly to the discussion of
the dark side of human nature. Literary devices in The Black Catby Edgar Allen Poe,
The Monkey s Paw by W.W. Jacobs, and An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
Ambrose Bierce show how every person has a dark side, it just takes the right
moment and setting to reveal it. First, the authors use imagery to expose the depth of
human nature and vividly shows the ruthlessness of what humans are capable of.

This cat made the man so irritated and angry for not reason other than being a cat
and loving him. He murdered his own wife and blames it on the hideous beast who
supposedly provoked him. He looks at the cat with such a vengeful force for no
reason other than the cat bothers him. Imagery is used to get the point across of
the dark side in human nature in various other stories as well. In The Monkey s
Paw, the son was just wished back to life but the father is afraid of what he will
see. But her husband was on his hands and knees groping wildly on the floor in
search of the paw. If he could only find it before the thing got in (Jacobs). In this
story imagery is portrayed by showing the husband frantically searching for the
paw so he can wish his son away again. The dark side of the husband is revealed
because his wife wants their son back even if he wouldn t look like their previous
son. She misses their son but the husband refuses to let the son in the house. He
even refers to his own son as it in the story. He is afraid of his own son. In the next
story, instead of seeing the dark side in people through their thoughts, imagery is
used to explain actions taking place. In the story, Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge,
the main character, Payton, is being punished for trying to do harm to the bridge.
The man s hands were behind his back. Wrists bound with a cord. A rope closely
encircled his neck (Bierce). Imagery shows Payton being hanged for his
wrongdoing, this form of punishment shows the dark side of human nature because
they are purposefully taking someone s live away in a cruel style. Taking someone s
life away for any reason is unnecessary and can really showcase how dark human
China s National Interests Essay
China Essay
Evaluate the extent to which a specific Asia pacific state has been successful in
achieving its national interests.
China is firmly positioned as a superpower in both the Asia Pacific region, and the
global political arena. Some issues, however, have prevented China from fulfilling its
national interests including territorial integrity, economic prosperity, a harmonious
society, and a peaceful rise to power.
Territorial Integrity:
The PRC s desire for territorial integrity means that China must remain whole at all
costs. As a state with a population of over 1.3 billion, China will undoubtedly
encounter social problems particularly when 100 million of its population are not
ethnic Chinese . The state s One China ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, China s support of authoritarian regimes around the world in terms of
trade and oil exchange may result in the spread of totalitarianism around the world
as an effective trade. This sets a bad precedent for future international trade. China
is still firmly placed to overtake the world s largest economy, the US, by the end of
decade. This would be a shift in the hegemonic influence over economic affairs not
just in the region, but in a global context. When the Chinese economy sneezes, the
rest of world s economies get pneumonia. A loss in the percentage of growth in the
Chinese economy reverberates through the rest of the Asia Pacific region s economies.
Harmonious Society
One of China s main goals is to achieve and maintain a harmonious socialist society
by 2020. This is an ambition not easily obtained. Public outrage and lessening
opinions of the government are growing in China reflected by the increasing number
of public disturbances and riots. The police and military are quick to respond
highlighting China s poor human rights record. Pollution too is a major problem in
China with 16 out of the world s 20 most polluted cities being China. Over 700,000
deaths are attributed annually to pollution. Although China is moving towards better
environmental sustainability, two thirds of its energy comes from coal sources
currently and every dollar of GDP uses three times more energy than the global
average.
Franklin County Local Food System
Reflection Paper #1 My internship with the Franklin County Local Food Council is
not the most traditional internship. As they have no physical office, much of my
work is to be done out of the typical meeting frame. The Council meets once a month
for roughly two hours. I have yet to attend a meeting. So to begin my internship, I
familiarized myself with foodsystems and the city and county s Local FoodAction
Plan. Food policy is defined to be actions taken by government that affect at least
one of the steps in the food system cycle: production, processing, waste, distribution
and retailing, consumption, and waste. Food Policy Councils aim to provide
information to people on how to make the food system more community based.
They also aim to make the relationship between the five parts of the food system
clearer. More specific goals of Food Policy Councils include ensuring the healthy
food is accessible, teaching people how to cook food, maximizing local economy,
and including all groups in the process. By making food more local, the goal is also
to create more jobs in the agriculture industry.... Show more content on

Arguably, the biggest issue is regarding infrastructure. Encouraging food production
by local farmers is the first step of the plan, but that food must then be able to make
it to the consumer. Accessibility is one of the items of most importance on many
Councils to do list. Transportation is a problem that many low income families face:
Councils must take into account that not everyone is able to drive a car to the
grocery store. Thus, policy that includes a change in public transportation must be
included in the Food Policy Council s agenda. There are other issues such as
economic development and environmental impact that also factor into the policy
making of a Food Policy
Reflection Paper On Refugees
The first day of my internship at the Refugee Legal Service in Dublin, Ireland I
learned the difference between watching news clips on refugees, and what it
meant to actually go through the whole process. The asylum process is a
painstaking, time consuming, and emotional ordeal. During my time there, I
ended up meeting with dozens of refugees, but there was one event that I can still
remember clearly. I was invited to help work on a case involving a woman and her
son fleeing from South Africa due to facial scarring on the first born child. After a
meeting with several members of our legal team, I reached out to the caseworker
and asked if there was anything extra I could do to help their case. She asked that I
try to find more evidence to support the claim that facial scarring was still going on
in the village the family was from. After spending days researching the area the
village was in, I was able to find other accounts of facial scarring. Because of my
extra efforts that helped her case, I was invited to attend the hearing at the High
Court. This opportunity was incredible and overwhelming and I know this was
only a fraction of the work that you have to go through to be granted asylum. The
hearing was eight hours, long and I was one of the few people allowed to sit in the
back of the courtroom and take notes. Throughout the entire day it was interesting to
see how the asylum process actually works, as opposed to hearing or reading about
it. During the lunch break I

but imagine that if the affair did not happened, Gatsby would have lived
throughout the novel. Another barrier being broken in the 1920s was the gender
barrier. Many females began to wear shorter dresses and sport short hair. In
addition, women recently gained the right to vote, which held women higher in
society now than even before. Also, it became acceptable for women to drink and
smoke in public places such as speakeasies, where young rebellious souls ventured
to indulge in their new way of life. In The Great Gatsby, Jordan is a model for this
type of woman who lived with no worry for gender stereotypes. Jordan was
portrayed as an edgy, care free woman. In the novel, Fitzgerald mentions that she
once cheated in order to win her first golf tournament. This new way of living for
both males and females can be related to the increase of materialism among
wealthy Americans in the 1920s. There were so many good things. These eyes
have been hallowed by watching a man order champagne for his two thousand
guests, by listening while a woman ordered a whole staircase from the greatest
sculptor in the world, by seeing a man tear up a good check for eight hundred
thousand dollars. (Fitzgerald: The Jazz Age p. 3). The 1920s were a time of
excessive spending and extravagance. Materialism is probably one of the most
The Head-Smashed-In Buffalo-Jump Site in South-West...
First explored in 1938, the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump site in south west
Alberta, Canada is an archaeological goldmine. Named after a child who was
watching the event unfold that was hit with a falling buffalo, HSIBJ site tells a
gruesome story. As one of the oldest and most preserved kill sites in the world,
HSIBJ is scientifically and anthropologically significant. For six thousand years, this
site was used by PlainsPeople as a hunting ground, herding multiple buffalo off of a
cliff to their deaths, as a means of survival. The magnitude of the HSIBJ site helps
shed light on the hunting patterns of other groups that are still in the area today.
SouthWest Albertais part of a gorgeous landscape of grassy plains and rocky
cliffside. The east is covered in high grass and prairies, while the west is a mixture
of cacti, sage and short grasses. The plains people experience extreme weather
cold, frigid winters and scorching summers. Across the landscape are large herds
of buffalo, bears, deer, antelope and coyotes. The plains people were separated by
patriarchal bands groups of 50 to 100 individuals, connected by marriage or
kinship. The men hunted, led religious ceremonies and were the medical experts.
Each band was lead by a single man, the headman who exemplified the behavior the
plains people wished to have. Each band had around 40 tipis made of animal hide,
that were portable and easily constructed. The diet of the plains people consisted
mainly of buffalo and

laden with structures dating so many years back is a place that should be visited by
anyone who has a keen interest in ancient civilization.A description of the structures
here will reveal that the owners of the site were not only gifted but may have been
influenced by their beliefs in the divine.
Background
The Chichen Itza ruins a vast archeological site with buildings constructed in a way
that excites not only the eyes but also leaves a visitor feeling greatly amazed and
wanting to be in whichever way associated with the civilization that made the artistic
constructions.Located in Mexico at the Yucatan state, the ruins are believed to have
belonged to the Mayan people who were brilliant as seen by the complex symmetrical
structures that they left behind after the fall of their Kingdom. The name Chichen
Itza, when translated into English, becomes Mouth of the well of the Itza. This name
is drawn from the large cenote which also served as a fresh water source these

THE FORENSIC EVIDENCE CONCERNING AIR INDIAFLIGHT 182

The in flight disintegration of the Kanishka, most of the aircraft came to rest on
the ocean floor almost 7,000 feet below the surface. During the accident
investigation that followed, the submerged wreckage was surveyed,
photographed, videotaped and pieces were recovered off the ocean floor. Floating
wreckage was also recovered and examined. Each piece was given a unique
number called target . Target means that specific parts of planes were to be
destroyed. When the RCMP returned to the crashed site for two subsequent salvage
operations in 1989 and 1991 during which further underwater video footage was

investigation into the explosion of the Kanishka. The underwater images of many of
the unrecovered targets were converted into computer aided design ( CAD ) images,
which in turn were used to simulate certain important targets from the aft fuselage of
the aircraft. Under the supervision of the RCMP, these simulated targets were
assembled with the actual recovered wreckage in a partial reconstruction of the
Kanishka at a warehouse in the Lower Mainland as an aid to understanding the
technical expert evidence regarding the destruction of the aircraft. Experts presented
portions of their evidence at this warehouse during the trial and referred extensively
to the reconstruction in demonstrating their respective theories. The significance of
this expert evidence lies primarily in their differing opinions regarding the location
of the bomb that precipitated the destruction of the Kanishka. The Crown theory,
supported by the opinion evidence of Professor Christopher Peel, is that it was
located in Baggage Area 52, which contained the M. Singh bag. The defence theory,
supported by the opinion evidence of Dr. Edward Trimble and Mr. Frank Taylor, is
that it was located some five feet forward of that location in Baggage Area 51,
containing luggage checked in at Toronto. A conclusion that the defence evidence
raises a reasonable doubt with respect to the Crown s bomb location would

The Ones Who Walk Away From The Omelas
The ones who walk away from the Omelas by Ursula K. Le Guin is a short dystopic
story that describes a supposedly perfect society, a utopia, that has no ruler or king
and where everyone is happy, healthy and intelligent. Although they are happy
people, they do not have simple lives. Their society s wellbeing is built on a secret;
they keep a child locked away with little food and no care, as a sacrifice, in order to
ensure their wellbeing. Although the city of the Omelas may seem like a utopia, it has
many of the dystopic elements discussed by Erika Gottlieb in What Is Justice? The

Gottlieb s What is Justice? The Answers of Utopia, Tragedy, and Dystopia
discusses ideas that are evident in The ones who ran away from the Omelas. The
idea that a child has to be sacrificed in order to keep the happiness and welfare of
their society is based on the concept that good cannot exist if there is no bad. This
concept is similarly argued by Gottlieb. She claims that the good place ...cannot be
fully understood without its counter image, the bad place of the writer s own time
and place. (26) In this case, the people of the Omelas are the writers of their own
lives and the child is the tool in which they create their perfect world on. Moreover,
the contrast between the child and the people of the Omelas is similar to that between
the rich and the criminals discussed by Gottlieb. Gottlieb says that the rich create
criminals then punish them in the name of justice(25 26) which is similar to what the
Tony Smith Die Analysis
Die, made in 1968, is a minimalist sculptural artwork by renowned American artist
Tony Smith. Smith had originally prototyped the sculpture in 1962, when he made
a six inch cardboard model, but he did not have Die fabricated until 1968. The
final format of Die is a six foot cube of quarter inch hot rolled steel that is held
together by internal steel bracing. To have it created, Smith worked with the
Industrial Welding Company in Newark, New Jersey, which owes to its rusty,
industrial external appearance. As one of first steel sculptures, it went on to inspire
much of his later work. During exhibitions, the 500 pound steel Die sits on the floor,
inviting patrons to walk around it and view it from one or more sides at a time. As

The Islamic State has been created in 2003 during the invasion of Iraq by a
Jordanian in order to expel Americans. The movement has been linked to Al Qaeda
but has been weaken by the American offensive. However since 2011 the
organization has used the Syrian civil war to regain influence and territories. In
2013 Al Qaeda rejected the movement because of its violence. They tried to create
an alliance with Al Nosra which refused because of its violence too. The Islamic
State has been known under several names: first Tawhid wal Djihad, Al Qaeda in Iraq

The USA has really reconsidered the threat of this group after the kidnapping and
execution of two American journalists and the quick rising tide of the organization.
So how the USA is dealing with the ISIS threat and is its strategy suitable? We may
wonder why the Islamic State is difficult to struggle, what is the American strategy to
eradicate this terrorist group and what are the limits of the strategy of the
international coalition led by the USA.
The Islamic State is currently considered as the major threat of the USA according
to a recent survey on American people . But is this group really strong, well
equipped and so a threat for the West? Firstly the Islamic State is the wealthiest
terrorist group of the world. At the beginning some Gulf countries have helped the
group but have stopped with the raising of its violence. But now the group is self
financed with racketeering and robbery of conquered territories. For instance the
capture of the city of Mossoul gave a lot of money staying in its banks. But the
group is also using the money of ransoms for hostages and is mainly dealing lots of
oil. However this wealth is not the only reason of its strength. The problem is that we
do not know accurately the allies or supporters of the Islamic State. As a consequence
we do not know exactly the men that the organization has in its ranks.

The Research Process on a Project
The Research Process: The research process went well, I felt like it was easier than
most research projects. I found the project more preferable to a traditional research
paper. I feel like it is a better alternative because it gave us time to really research
and give good connections. I ended up learning more from the primary connections
because I put more into my research. I felt like the secondary connections was not as
informative because I was researching connections that someone else had already
made but with the primary I had more possibilities to really learn. I felt like there
were less restraints on what I could connect the author to. With this project I learned
that it is not a simple as just typing an author s name into a search bar, I found out
that you have to dig deeper than that. I started my research on Wikipedia and then I
would look at the sources Wiki used and get my research from there.
Procedure:
The procedure of the project went well. I liked working individually, that way I am
the only one to blame for my grade. With group assignments there is always the
chance of getting a not so helpful group or the lazy partner. This just leads to
frustration for the student that really worked for the grade. As a student I feel
cheated if a partner or group member gets a good grade without really putting the
effort into the project. If each student had more deadlines for the project they would
work harder on it and the research would be more thought

Statues of David Essay
There have been many staues of David sculpted by famous artists like Donatello,
Verrocchio, and Michelangelo. Bernini s version of David and is about to begin his
attack on Goliath, as he appears posing. The statue seems to be moving through space
and the action suggests that the action of flinging the stone requires a lot of room
around David. The statue forces the observer to look past the actual subject and focus
more on the surroundings. He seems to have very muscular legs, and appears to be
ready to turn and throw a stone from his sling. This is the most dramatic pose that
Bernini could have picked and was chosen because it shows a sudden burst of
energy and a moment of suspense as well. Bernini s David is different from that of...

In addition, it is different from the narrative form that Bernini created. Verrocchio
shows David standing over the giant s head with pride. This bears resembles
Donatello s David where David is standing with a foot on top of his oppressor.
Michelangelo was another artisan who portrayed David in a unique matter. He
didn t represent David standing over a defeated Goliath, but instead made him
look like he was patiently awaiting his enemy. The body has a very classical form
and is muscular and very tense. The form makes David look powerful.
Michelangelo made David very strong with well defined features, iand even
included enlarged hands to show the viewer of the strength that David had before
attacking Goliath. Unlike other versions at the time, Michelangelo didn t create a
version of a prideful David, but instead a David who was amongst or aware of his
enemy.
Donatellos, Verrochio s, and Michelangelo s figures compare in the sense that none
of them show any physical activity and are shown as prideful as they stand over
oppressors. Bernini s rendition of David is unique in the sense that he creates a more
narrative figure instead of one that is poised and more classical in style. Protestants
strongly believed that imagery presented in the church could cause people to venerate
figures in statues rather than focus all their attention on God during the
Negative Effects Of Methamphetamines
The use and manufacturing of methamphetamines was intended to have a positive
effect on the 20th century as a treatment for ailments such as obesity, depression,
and ADHD but ended up having a negative effect due to overuse and abuse of the
drug. Methamphetamines and their various strands have had a negative effect on the
20th century and still affects America today. Not only does the drug have destructive
short term effects on the body, it also has many long term effects. Abusers of this
substance become easily hooked, and it is not easy to recover from a meth addiction.

Methamphetamines were widely being used for non medical reasons and spiraled out
of control, thus negatively affecting 20th century America. As the use of
methamphetamines gained popularity and became more severe, more extreme forms
of the drug, such as injectable methamphetamines began to surface. In the 1960s, the
increased availability of the injectable form of the drug decreased the number of
users due to people realizing how intense the need for a high had become. In the
1970s, the Controlled Substances Act prohibited the legal synthesizing of injectable
methamphetamines and in turn, decreased use even further (Narconon International).
Even though there was no more legal production of methamphetamines, people still
found ways to get a buzz. People in the United States began to make their own form
of methamphetamines. They cooked a crystallized form of the drug, called crystal
meth. Due to it being made of many household ingredients, people were illegally
making the drug fairly easily. Crystal meth is derived from the same chemical as
standard methamphetamines, but has a far stronger effect. Crystal meth is highly
addictive and is hard to quit, because it gives a person severe withdrawals when it is
not in their system (NIDA). The intensity of the addiction and the difficult inability to
quit after being hooked had a major negative effect on the 20th century American
society which is still present
The Species Of Homo Neanderthalensis Essay
1.Introduction:
The Paleo species of Homo neanderthalensis have been the subject of debate since
their discovery in 1829. Even in the early beginnings, the scientific research
concerning this early hominin species has been debated, and it was not until 1864
that the first Homo neanderthalensis was recognized as an early hominin fossil
(citation). Fortunately, progress has been made into piecing back together the history
of Homo neanderthalensis. However, there are still significant questions that remain
unanswered; a broad example of one of those questions is what was the contributing
factor to their extinction.
Fortunately, there has been a significant amount of research done which pertained to
them not being able to adapt to the changing climate on the latter half of the
Pleistocene or were out competed by anatomically modern humans either by
technology and cultural adaptation or even interbreeding. These theories could
potentially explain their extinction because each one explored a different aspect of
Neanderthal life. L. DalГ©n et al. theorized low mDNA, or mitochondrial DNA,
which is only passed down through the maternal lineage through generations, was
caused by the climate change in the latter half of the Pleistocene, about 58 thousand
years ago, which predated the arrival of anatomically modern humans. While another
theory suggested that, slightly before the extinction of the Neanderthals globally,
anatomically modern humans interbred with Neanderthals on

Sigmund Freud Ideology
Sigmund Freud explored many new concepts in the human mind during his lifetime.
He was the scholar who discovered an immense new realm of the mind, the
unconscious. He was the philosopher who identified childhood experience, not racial
destiny or family fate, as the vessel of character, and he is the therapist who invented
a specific form of treatment for mentally ill people, psychoanalysis. This advanced the
revolutionary notion that actual diagnosable diseases can be cured by a technology
that dates to the dawn of humanity: speaking. Sigmund Freud, writing more than 320
books, articles and essays on psychotherapy in his lifetime, forever changed how
society viewed mental illness and the meaning of their dreams. However, controversy

The emotions appropriate to the trauma are not expressed in any direct fashion,
but do not simply evaporate: They express themselves in behavior that in a weak,
vague way offers a response to the trauma. These symptoms are, in other words,
meaningful. When the client can be made aware of the meanings of his or her
symptoms (through hypnosis, for example) then the unexpressed emotions are
released and so no longer need to express themselves as symptoms. With Charcot,
many of Charcot s patients suffered from a bizarre array of physical and emotional
problems, symptoms of a puzzling affliction doctors called hysteria. Freud became
deeply interested in the plight of patients, typically women, who suffered from
hysteria. Through the study of hysteria, Charcot would introduce young Freud to
the mysteries he would spend the rest of his life trying to fathom the power of
mental forces hidden away from conscious awareness. Furthermore, Freud s father
died four years prior to the publication. Painful and disturbing, the long run effect
of freeing Freud from his inhibitions impeded his work (Parsons). The death of
Freud s father most likely had a significant effect on his mind for the topics stated in
The Interpretation of Dreams included a great sense of loss of a parental figure,
relating to Freud s ideas of infantile sexuality To Freud, this
The Performance Dimensions International, Inc.
Upon those completed evaluation forms the two highest scored candidates will be
invited back to complete the second step in the hiring process to participate in the
Development Dimensions International, Inc., DDI s simulations allow you to see
firsthand how a candidate would perform if placed in a new role. In addition, our
simulations give candidates a realistic preview of critical job requirements, so they
come into the role with accurate expectations. When the cost of failure is high or
when the position is critical to the success of the business, job simulations add a
significantly higher degree of selection accuracy and risk mitigation. Includes
designing selection systems with three goals in mind: higher quality, increased
efficiency, and legal defensibility. (Development Dimensions International, Inc,
2015). This cost of this will vary depending on how much we are willing to invest.
From previous experiences, I know that working with Lee Hecht Harrison and
providing an executive coach to a Senior Leader for the six month assignment was
$18,000.00 investment. So it is an investment but it is worth investment and I have
Development Dimensions International set up for a presentation next week so that
we have identified the assessment and costs to make sure that DDI meets our needs
and exceeds our expectations before sending the two finalists. The candidates are
participating in legally defensible assessments. That is not the finalstep in the process.

Freedom Is The Highest Point Of Freedom
Freedom has its different demographics and views it can perceived into in which I
don t think it can ever justify to a deserved definition. I think we certainly live in
the theory and allusion of freedom but also compared to a vast amount of
countries it is definitely looked upon as a free society. A country could never reach
the highest point of freedom because that is something of the unordinary and we as
a country are more close to freedom than any other country will be. Being able to
express ourselves by voting, voicing opinions, being of whatever sexuality and
religion without interference is a remarkable sense of freedom and luxury many
wish to attain. For me specifically, I think the most important factor of living in the
American life is the privilege I have of going to school and being educated. If I was
never given the opportunity of such a tremendous fortune, I could never imagine
residing in a place that would be against it. To me educationis not a something that I
should fight for it should be a given, it should be self explanatory as to why it is so
extremely important and the fact that some countries deny their people of such
grant is one of the many reasons I believe America to be a free country. Not being
permitted the right to education especially because I am a female is not a form of
life anyone should have to suffer let alone a form of freedom people should be
idealized to live with. Definitely living in the United Statesgives me the advantage to

A Report On The Knee Joint
The job of any healthy joint is to distribute the forces encountered with evenly among
the loading capacity of the tissues (Anetzberger, Birkenmaier, Lorenz, 2013). The
knee joint consists of many different structures including the tibial femoral
articulation, the patella, and many cartilaginous structures. The meniscus is a
fibrocartilaginous, crescent shaped structure located in the kneebetween the medial
and lateral tibiofemoral articulating surfaces (Mezhov, Teichtahl, Strasser, Wluka,
Cicuttini, 2014). There is both a medial and a lateral menisci, and their function
includes loading variable transmissions across the knee joint, shock absorption of
tensile and torsion movements, and some joint nutrition. The menisci also... Show

A diagnosis of osteoarthritis increases the chances of a meniscal injury dramatically
as well due to the breakdown of the joint caused by the disease. Symptoms of a
meniscus tear can include pain, swelling of the knee, restricted range of motion,
stiffness, and popping, locking, or catching sensations.
There are many different ways in which a meniscus tear can be evaluated and
diagnosed as a whole. The patient s history, pain levels, clinical examination, and
imagining testing all come together for a definitive diagnosis of the injury. Clinical
examinations can include joint line tenderness which helps define the exact location
of the patient s pain, and can rule out other possible diagnoses. This is done by
performing a varus or valgus stress test at 30 degree knee flexion while palpating the
joint line for associated crepitation, or cracking sound (Konan, Rayan, Haddad, 2009).
Joint line tenderness is performed throughout other clinical examinations that can be
performed to diagnose a meniscal injury including the McMurray s test, the Apley
compression and distraction test, and the Thessaly test. The McMurray s test involves
having the knee at full flexion while palpating for a snap along the joint line. The
Thessaly test is performed with the patient standing with the knee slightly flexed at 5
degrees and the patient internally and externally
What You Need to Know about Snowboarding Essay
Snowboarding has a very popular sport over the years. Snowboarding gives a never
before experience. Snowboarding is fun when you can do it with friends. The thrill
of snowboarding fast down a snowy hill is fun as well. Snowboarding is less
dangerous now due to snowboarding gear and safety signs on slopes. Snowboardingis
also great exercise. It improves flexibility in your muscles, and strengthens your
legs. Also snowboarding helps improve your inner balance. Snowboarding is also
a great aerobic sport. Snowboarding can be fun and exciting to learn because it is
easy to learn, it is not that dangerous, and it is very good exercise. Snowboarding
has become popular all across the world, but some people still think that

It strengthens major muscle groups as well. Snowboarding provides a great aerobic
workout. Snowboarding is a great way to get outdoors, get some fresh air and get
moving in the winter. It works out most of all of the body s major muscles,
especially the legs and core. Most snowboarders use the big muscles in their legs,
such as the quads, calves and hamstrings, to guide the board over the snow.
Snowboarders also use their calves and the muscles of their feet and ankles to
steer the board. Snowboarding requires good balance, so snowboarders develop
stronger core muscles. Snowboarders also tone their upper body as they use their
arms for balance. Snowboarding is an excellent aerobic workout that gets the heart
rate up and increases cardiovascular and respiratory endurance. It also burns a lot of
calories and fat. The average person can expect to burn between 250 and 630
calories per hour, depending on the difficulty of the terrain. More difficult terrain
forces your body to work harder to control the board. Snowboarding requires rapid
changes in pace and direction, and it requires you to pay attention to the terrain over
which you re traveling. As snowboarders become more aware of the terrain and
develop the ability to make quick changes in direction and pace, they experience
increased flexibility and enhanced focus and concentration. Snowboarding has
combined fun, excitement, safety, and
Grand Turk Research Paper
My favorite place has to be a beach that is in this wonderful place called Grand Turk.
Grand Turk is an island that many cruise ships go to and is by far the best place to go
on a cruise. There is an abundance of reasons why this beach is so amazing to me.
As soon as you get there, there is a short walk to the side of the beach. One of the
best things about this beach is that there not many people that live there and it is
really spread out and there is a lot to do. As you walk up on to the beach, you can
feel the warm soft sand between your toes and hear the waves crashing down onto the
shore. If you keep going further down the beach there is this one place called Jack s
Shack. There is so much to do there and so many nice people
The Necessity At The Heart Of Every Command
The necessity to communicate is at the heart of every command. General Gordon
Sullivan put this in perspective best when he explained: Force XXI will leverage the
capabilities of the latest technologies to optimize the skill and courage of our soldiers.
We will integrate information age technology with our tactical units. We will redesign
units, built around people and new technologies, to enhance their agility, versatility
and lethality. Combatant commanders who rely upon their communication channels
are not able to effectively move vital elements within a combat theatre without the
ability to move information. As the country continues to engage combatants in
countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, the need to effectively communicate
has become ever increasing. Moreover, the requirement to share data within and
amongst theaters is even more imperative as we link actors to one another well
beyond the borders in which we are currently engaged. Program Manager WIN T
(Warrior Information Network Tactical) provides commanders with the ability to
move data across the world and receive real time directions from commanders located
within the Continental United States through internet access. Soldiers, to include
commanders are now able to further untether themselves from their command post
and communicate both on the move or at the halt, further maximizing their time on
the ground. However, progressing to such a point has taken years to accomplish. The
Magneto Villain
Villains are characters who would discrupt peace by creating havoc and causing
pain and misseries(Thury Devinny, 2013). My favorite super villain is Magneto
from the X men universe. His motivation is for mutants like him to rule the world
and eradicate the human species. The title of a hero or villain is in the eyes of the
beholder. For most mutants, he is a legendary herobut for humanbeings he is the
epitome of a villain. He believes that mutants are superior to human for a reason and
that mutants are destined to populate the earth. To sum it up, he is a villain with a
cause. He would protect his fellow mutants through extreme measures. There were
numerous times in the movie that he killed and harmed human beings with no
hesitation but
Student Disengagement Reflection
Student disengagement is like a virus that spreads to everyone in the class, just
one student with their head down and you soon have a pandemic of uninterested
children. It s vital to stop this disengagement as soon as it appears to keep it
localized to one student. Currently, I am the long term substitute for a High School
Math II class featuring mostly tenth graders. At times it s difficult to hold the
attention of a room filled with snarky teenagers. I use a variety of techniques to
keep my students engaged drawling from High quality instruction, classroom
management skills, and our teacher/student relationship. Every day the lesson
plan for my class is fast paced and as exciting as possible. The idea is to keep them
busy the entire class to avoid disengagement. If we are moving at a good pace it s
harder for a student to zone out or they miss a lot of information. Next, I utilize
different types of materials to explain the topic of the day. I may start by giving
notes and lecturing, then move on to a video where the same idea is communicated
more visually. Changing up instruction methods seems to hold a student attention
better than if I simply drone on lecturing. I also like to switch up activities, class
may begin with a lecture for fifteen minutes then move on to a worksheet or some
online learning. Changing activities provides a natural brain break, although at times
I implant those by telling a joke or allowing a student to share a story. Classroom
management techniques can also ward off disengagement, when a student is
becoming disengaged I try to pull that students attention back to me. Physical
presence can sometimes redirect a child s attention back to the material. I will simply
stand near the student who is drifting and continue on instructing. If that doesn t work
or isn t possible then I call on that student to answer a question, often that student
cannot answer because of their lack of attention so I have another student help. This
usually corrects the lack of attention because they know I am aware of it. Next I use
a direct one on one conversation with the student to redirect them back to the topic at
hand. The dawn of new technology has created other ways for students to disengage.
My
Room Is An Independent Drama Feminist Film Essay
Women in media are underrepresented. They are overwhelmingly valued in film
based on their identification as a mother, wife, or lover. This is cause by media
such as internet and TV because they create comparisons by influencing in an
individual s viewpoints of society and setting ideals. Mother s roles in society are
and have been watched at as responsible for the development of their children. If
these requirements are not fit by mothers they are looked negatively upon society.
Room is an independent drama feminist film based on Emma Donoghue novel and
is directed by Lenny Abramson in 2015 that changes society s ideals of women as
mothers. The film narrates Ma s story of being captive in a room that only have
skylight, four walls, a bed, a tub, and a TV with poor signal with her son Jack, a
child of rape. After seven years, Jack being five, they are able to escape and Ma s
readjustment to society story begin. Through specific choices in cinematography,
Abramson creates a feminist film that contradict the ideals of mothers in film and
plays with Ma s strength making her a strong motherwhile being captive in room and
transforming her into a weak mother when she readjust to society. Strength, sacrifice
and love is an embodiment of mother. She should always know how much she is
worth and shouldn t let anyone define who she is. A mother s feminine power is very
powerful and at the same time supportive. Till their last breath, they will love their
child unconditionally.
Comparing The Langmuir And Bet Isotherms
Figure 3 Comparison of the Langmuir and BET isotherms
Fig. 3 compares Langmuir and BET isotherm shapes: gas adsorption along the BET
isotherm contributes more significantly at early time of production than that of
Langmuir isotherm curve. The reason for this is the slope of the BET isotherm curve
at higher pressure is larger than that of the Langmuir isotherm curve, resulting in
more adsorbed gas releasing at early production times. The amount of released
adsorbed gas with BET isotherm curve is larger than that with Langmuir isotherm
curve under the same pressure drop from the initial reservoir pressure to the bottom
hole pressure.
Dubinin Astakhov equation
To describe adsorption in micro porous material, Dubinin Astakhov have proposed
form of Dubinin Rudishkevich equation which has the form: a=W_0 ПЃ_L exp{
D[Tln(P_s/P)]^n }
Where,
a concentration (adsorbed mass per unit adsorbent mass)
W_0 Maximum adsorption capacity (volume of adsorbate/mass of adsorbent) ПЃ_L
Specific mass of the liquid adsorbate
D Coefficient of affinity n Characteristic parameter of the adsorbent adsorbate pair
Adsorption Isotherm Models for Multi Components
Shale reservoir would rarely contain a pure hydrocarbon fluid. Sometimes the fluid
type dry gas may have two or three components accounting for more than 99% of the
composition. In some cases, the liquid fluid may contain more than 40 components.
There is a large transition zone between the dry gas and the liquid areas. In this

  • 2. The Character Analysis Of Shameless As A Dramatic Comedy Have you ever wanted to watch a dramatic comedy, but could never find the one ? I would highly recommend Shameless for anyone one who is having trouble finding the one . There are many television shows that can keep anyone entertained, but Shameless has all the right factors that are needed to be a great dramatic comedy. Shameless is a good dramatic comedy because the characters and situations are relatable to real life, the TV show has moral teachings, and it s very suspenseful. One of the things that makes Shameless such a great dramatic comedy is how the characters and situations are so relatable to real life. It s important for a TV show to make the audience feel like they re connected to the characters as they deal with their situations in each episode. There is evidence in every season that shows the relativity between the characters and real life situations. For example, in season 6, episode 1; Frank is currently dealing with losing a loved one, while both daughters, Fiona and Debbie are making decisions about their pregnancy. Fiona begs for her little sister to do adoption or abortion. Debbie doesn t quite understand how Knue 2 having a child while being fourteen, can ruin a lot of great opportunities later. Fiona chooses to have an abortion since she cannot make enough money to support herself or all her siblings. In addition to relatable characters and situations, Shameless also offers moral teachings. How does a dramatic comedy offer moral teachings? Shameless provides many examples on how drug and alcohol abuse affects a family home. There is also evidence on how Shameless provides that. In season 4, episode 5; Fiona celebrates something good that has happened, but not in a correct way. She decides to buy drugs, and leave them out where her little brother, Liam, can get his hands on causing him to overdose. Fiona then faces the consequences on the abuse of drugs, and the toll it can have on a family. Another prime example would be in season 3, episode 7; Fiona fights for her rights to become legal guardian over her younger siblings after being taken away from
  • 3. Beyond the Divide Book Report Essay Book Report BEYOND THE DIVIDE By: Kathryn Lasky The reason I chose this book is because it is about a different culture and a different life than of anyone I know. Beyond the Divide is about a young Amish girl who felt suffocated living in the Amish community. Meribah Simon had grown up in the Amishcommunity and the strict rules of the community felt like walls closing in around her. Her father had been shunned by the elders of the community and when Meribah found out that her father was leaving to join the gold rush she decided to go with him. On the trip to California there were many good times and just as many bad; if not more. On the journey she and her father were traveling with a group of people that were going to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When some time had passed Meribah s father had gotten a wound from helping someone fix something. When their wagon got broken down they could not go on any further and the families with them did not want to take her father but they agreed to take her. She loved her father dearly and would not let him be left behind. The greed for gold caused many of the people to leave behind many of the others in the group for the sake of getting to the gold as soon as possible. I can t say that I wouldn t have been a better person than that because I have never been in such a situation. I only hope that my choices would be different and greed would be overcome with love and the choice to stay and help a human being in need. The determination to survive was greater than just giving up and dying. Meribah and her father were left behind to fend for themselves. The cold had come and it was her job to keep her and her father alive because her father was ill and could not help. She went out and hunted for things to build a little wagon on her own. There were many things others had thrown out so there were many things to choose from. I think that when faced with tough situations a person will somehow get through if they have the determination. Sometimes when I have to do something and there is no one to help or do it for me I feel as if I have that responsibility and I do what I have to do. Many changes came

Essay on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Born a Prince, Left a King Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and I d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel air. These are the opening lines to the intro song of the television comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel Air , that me and every 90 s kids with a TV has had memorized since the day we first heard it. Even as you read that first sentence, you can t help but to rap the words, and hum the tune as you envision a young Will Smith spinning on his royal chair with the graffiti background. The effect of the lyrics and the music video to this intro song goes way beyond pure entertainment value. The music video and lyrics spread happiness, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By making Will Smith appear like a typical, credible African American youth the appeal to the viewers is strengthened. However, the stereotypes are not the only example for ethos in the music video. Will s clothing and vernacular make a good case for ethical appeal as well. Throughout the video Will is dressed in loud bright colored clothing with various trendy accessories such as hats and sneakers. The clothing helps Will to appeal to the younger viewers because it s something the viewers can identify with. Also Will s upbeat tone and hipster lingo help his credibility of acting as an average young black male. While ethos plays a large role in the appeal of the video, pathos plays a role equally as large. The pathological appeal in the music video is present from start to finish. The video opens with a background soundtrack of an upbeat rap tune. The tune is catchy and grabs the viewer s attention immediately. Will Smith compliments the catchy beat by rapping an energetic rap. The rap itself demands for viewers attention because it appeals to their taste in music. Whereas music is the main avenue of appeal in the video, there are other pathos elements present. While Will is playing basketball, the ball accidently hits a nearby thug who takes offense and physically confronts Will. The thug threatens and bullies Will until Will s mom gets so scared for Will s well being that she sends him to live his aunt and uncle in Bel Air. Nearly every kid in
  • 7. Uc Berkeley Research Paper UC Berkeley: Origin of Free Speech, Topic of Extremes Here we go again; yet again do we, as Americans, get to see another protest go violent, but what is it about this time? Following up with recent news, Milo Yiannopolis, a highly controversial right wing speaker and Breitbart columnist, was forced to evacuate UC Berkeley after a protest broke into violence as many left protesters began destroying nearby areas and attacking innocent people. Naturally, with such a controversial person coming to UC Berkeley and such a violent occurring as a result, many opinions came out to the surface including two extreme articles that we will focus on: a left wing article from Daily Cal by Luis Tenorio and Miranda Smith and a right wing article from Fox News by Todd Starnes. Throughout the article by Tenorio and Smith, the violence of the event is written off and excused as a defense, saying that it crossed the line of tolerance as they claim that [tolerance] ends where harm begins and that it is an event about safety and equitable ... It may be true that yes, for you two, this is solely an issue on personal safety; however for many who disagree with you, it is a major issue of free speech and academic freedom as this event presents itself as an attack on the First Amendment and academic freedom. By shutting down the event with violence, it is forcefully cutting off and blocking the differing opinion and ultimately isolating students, including those of which who want to hear different opinions, within a bubble of the ideas you hold. Does that not sound like an attack on academic freedom and free speech to
  • 8. Viable Crypto Currency or Investment Bubble Essay Imagine a currency that can be sent around the globe instantly from one client to another, without any hefty transaction fees. Although, this achievement is seemingly impossible, Bitcoin, a form of digitalized monetary value, accomplishes just that. Until recently, money has always been perceived as a physical note or coin that can be used to make transactions. However, Bitcoin is basically an encrypted digital block that can be stored in an online wallet and securely stored, sent, and received via a special network on the Internet (Friedman). Programmed in 2009 by an anonymous group known as Satoshi Nakomoto, (Timpane), Bitcoin appeared on online exchanges as the world s first decentralized virtual currency. It has been bought and sold... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without a bank to manage the supply of this crypto currency, the price is unregulated and proves to be extremely volatile. This price fluctuation is one quality that is holding the legitimacy of Bitcoin back because it needs a consistent value for practical use in the monetary world. As speculative investors buy and sell Bitcoin, the price varies at extreme rates. But in support of Bitcoin s long term future, the price has shown a steady uptrend in the past year, peaking at around $1200 (See Apendix I). Eventually, a steady value will be reached to establish the actual price of Bitcoin. The positive aspect of Bitcoin s decentralization greatly outweighs this temporary problem of volatility. The lack of the Federal Reserve s regulation essentially allows this virtual currency to eradicate inflation. Ed Grabianowski describes inflation as a process when a unit of currency loses value because more units are produced and put into circulation by the regulator in attempts to solve financial issues ( What Exactly is Inflation? ). Bitcoin does not face this problem since it has a predetermined supply: 21 million digitalized blocks ( Betting on the Bitcoin Buzz ). Instead of having a regulator through banks and the government, which can inherently fail, Bitcoin relies on regulation through a mathematical equation. To comprehend this regulation, the process of mining must first be understood.

He could be seen as the trendsetter of the school. Sam K. notices this in the first scene of the ad. One common fear of HPHS students is not fitting in . I believe that this is a shared fear because people fear not having any friends and being outside of the in crowd. If people think that what they re wearing is no longer in style and new fashion styles are being brought in, they will likely follow these trends as a desperate attempt to assure their social status and become once again a desirable member of society. For example, the commons are a place where cool people eat lunch with a clean glass window making it very easy to see who is sitting in there. So if cool people wear our slides, the insecure students striving to be like the confident kids in the commons have something to improve on, their shoes. As a marketing strategy it could be very beneficial towards our brand to provide DM Slides to kids sitting in the commons for a cheaper price, or even free to promote the quantity of cool kids wearing them. This will result in a trickle down effect that is seen throughout all clothing phases; the trendsetters set, and everyone else consumes. Throughout my 4 years at HPHS we have observed that popularity and the high school standard of happiness revolves around a very unique cycle. This consists of the logic that if higher up people like you, you get to sit in the commons, and as a result, boys and especially girls (from a boy s perspective), will notice you. This brings up the opposing philosophy that if you are not constantly noticed you lose value /popularity. The cool kids, although may be very insecure personally, surround themselves with other confident kids to hide their individuality. By branding our slides to represent the newest trend of cool, students who feel they are on the cusp of being cool can now finally get their big break. Our product s clever name evokes a mixture of emotions from our audience. • 11. The End Of The Medieval Period Essay There are many factors that led to the end of the medieval period and brought about the emergence of the Renaissance period, otherwise known as, the age of rebirth. Some of these factors would have a devastating impact on Europe, which we can still see to this very day. During the Medieval period, the feudal aristocracy and the Catholic Church emerged as the dominant political forces and were instrumental in imposing social and economic order on the people. Peasants were organized within the manorial system as serfs; the guild system dominated economic life and imposed its own wage, price, and production controls in the system. In religious life, the church reached its height of power and influence, not only the spiritual, but also the secular life of Europe. Europeans were feeling bold to launch an expansion of Western Christendom and sometime between the 11th and 13th centuries, this took place in the form of the Crusades in the Baltic border lands. However, the 14th century would be an era of multiple crises that would weaken and even destroy many of the medieval institutions of Europe that seemed the most durable, and in their place, pave the way for the development of modern Europe which we all see today. During the 11th and 13th centuries, Europe, organized strict feudal lines, finally experiencing the social and political organization necessary for successful agriculture and sufficient crop production. Since much of Europe had been forest and unsettled land after

Comparing The Black Cat And An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge An intriguing article states: We humans are capable of immense love and sensitivity but we are also capable of greed, hatred, and brutality...are humans essentially good and, if so, what is the cause of our evil side? Are we evil by design or corruption? (The Dark Side). This quote relates significantly to the discussion of the dark side of human nature. Literary devices in The Black Catby Edgar Allen Poe, The Monkey s Paw by W.W. Jacobs, and An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge Ambrose Bierce show how every person has a dark side, it just takes the right moment and setting to reveal it. He murdered his own wife and blames it on the hideous beast who supposedly provoked him. He looks at the cat with such a vengeful force for no reason other than the cat bothers him. Imagery is used to get the point across of the dark side in human nature in various other stories as well. In The Monkey s Paw, the son was just wished back to life but the father is afraid of what he will see. But her husband was on his hands and knees groping wildly on the floor in search of the paw. If he could only find it before the thing got in (Jacobs). In this story imagery is portrayed by showing the husband frantically searching for the paw so he can wish his son away again. The dark side of the husband is revealed because his wife wants their son back even if he wouldn t look like their previous son. She misses their son but the husband refuses to let the son in the house. He even refers to his own son as it in the story. He is afraid of his own son. In the next story, instead of seeing the dark side in people through their thoughts, imagery is used to explain actions taking place. In the story, Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, the main character, Payton, is being punished for trying to do harm to the bridge. The man s hands were behind his back. Wrists bound with a cord. A rope closely encircled his neck (Bierce). Imagery shows Payton being hanged for his wrongdoing, this form of punishment shows the dark side of human nature because they are purposefully taking someone s live away in a cruel style. This would be a shift in the hegemonic influence over economic affairs not just in the region, but in a global context. When the Chinese economy sneezes, the rest of world s economies get pneumonia. A loss in the percentage of growth in the Chinese economy reverberates through the rest of the Asia Pacific region s economies. Harmonious Society One of China s main goals is to achieve and maintain a harmonious socialist society by 2020. This is an ambition not easily obtained. Public outrage and lessening opinions of the government are growing in China reflected by the increasing number of public disturbances and riots. The police and military are quick to respond highlighting China s poor human rights record. Pollution too is a major problem in China with 16 out of the world s 20 most polluted cities being China. Over 700,000 deaths are attributed annually to pollution. Although China is moving towards better environmental sustainability, two thirds of its energy comes from coal sources currently and every dollar of GDP uses three times more energy than the global average.
  • 15. Franklin County Local Food System Reflection Paper #1 My internship with the Franklin County Local Food Council is not the most traditional internship. As they have no physical office, much of my work is to be done out of the typical meeting frame. The Council meets once a month for roughly two hours. I have yet to attend a meeting. So to begin my internship, I familiarized myself with foodsystems and the city and county s Local FoodAction Plan. Food policy is defined to be actions taken by government that affect at least one of the steps in the food system cycle: production, processing, waste, distribution and retailing, consumption, and waste. Food Policy Councils aim to provide information to people on how to make the food system more community based. They also aim to make the relationship between the five parts of the food system clearer. More specific goals of Food Policy Councils include ensuring the healthy food is accessible, teaching people how to cook food, maximizing local economy, and including all groups in the process. By making food more local, the goal is also to create more jobs in the agriculture industry.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Arguably, the biggest issue is regarding infrastructure. Encouraging food production by local farmers is the first step of the plan, but that food must then be able to make it to the consumer. Accessibility is one of the items of most importance on many Councils to do list. Transportation is a problem that many low income families face: Councils must take into account that not everyone is able to drive a car to the grocery store. Thus, policy that includes a change in public transportation must be included in the Food Policy Council s agenda. There are other issues such as economic development and environmental impact that also factor into the policy making of a Food Policy
  • 16. Reflection Paper On Refugees The first day of my internship at the Refugee Legal Service in Dublin, Ireland I learned the difference between watching news clips on refugees, and what it meant to actually go through the whole process. The asylum process is a painstaking, time consuming, and emotional ordeal. During my time there, I ended up meeting with dozens of refugees, but there was one event that I can still remember clearly. I was invited to help work on a case involving a woman and her son fleeing from South Africa due to facial scarring on the first born child. After a meeting with several members of our legal team, I reached out to the caseworker and asked if there was anything extra I could do to help their case. She asked that I try to find more evidence to support the claim that facial scarring was still going on in the village the family was from. After spending days researching the area the village was in, I was able to find other accounts of facial scarring. Because of my extra efforts that helped her case, I was invited to attend the hearing at the High Court. This opportunity was incredible and overwhelming and I know this was only a fraction of the work that you have to go through to be granted asylum. The hearing was eight hours, long and I was one of the few people allowed to sit in the back of the courtroom and take notes. Throughout the entire day it was interesting to see how the asylum process actually works, as opposed to hearing or reading about it. During the lunch break I

Many females began to wear shorter dresses and sport short hair. In addition, women recently gained the right to vote, which held women higher in society now than even before. Also, it became acceptable for women to drink and smoke in public places such as speakeasies, where young rebellious souls ventured to indulge in their new way of life. In The Great Gatsby, Jordan is a model for this type of woman who lived with no worry for gender stereotypes. Jordan was portrayed as an edgy, care free woman. In the 1960s, the increased availability of the injectable form of the drug decreased the number of users due to people realizing how intense the need for a high had become. Fortunately, progress has been made into piecing back together the history of Homo neanderthalensis. However, there are still significant questions that remain unanswered; a broad example of one of those questions is what was the contributing factor to their extinction. Fortunately, there has been a significant amount of research done which pertained to them not being able to adapt to the changing climate on the latter half of the Pleistocene or were out competed by anatomically modern humans either by technology and cultural adaptation or even interbreeding. These theories could potentially explain their extinction because each one explored a different aspect of Neanderthal life. L. DalГ©n et al. theorized low mDNA, or mitochondrial DNA, which is only passed down through the maternal lineage through generations, was caused by the climate change in the latter half of the Pleistocene, about 58 thousand years ago, which predated the arrival of anatomically modern humans. While another theory suggested that, slightly before the extinction of the Neanderthals globally, anatomically modern humans interbred with Neanderthals on

  • 38. Sigmund Freud Ideology Sigmund Freud explored many new concepts in the human mind during his lifetime. He was the scholar who discovered an immense new realm of the mind, the unconscious. He was the philosopher who identified childhood experience, not racial destiny or family fate, as the vessel of character, and he is the therapist who invented a specific form of treatment for mentally ill people, psychoanalysis. This advanced the revolutionary notion that actual diagnosable diseases can be cured by a technology that dates to the dawn of humanity: speaking. Sigmund Freud, writing more than 320 books, articles and essays on psychotherapy in his lifetime, forever changed how society viewed mental illness and the meaning of their dreams. However, controversy over... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The emotions appropriate to the trauma are not expressed in any direct fashion, but do not simply evaporate: They express themselves in behavior that in a weak, vague way offers a response to the trauma. These symptoms are, in other words, meaningful. When the client can be made aware of the meanings of his or her symptoms (through hypnosis, for example) then the unexpressed emotions are released and so no longer need to express themselves as symptoms. With Charcot, many of Charcot s patients suffered from a bizarre array of physical and emotional problems, symptoms of a puzzling affliction doctors called hysteria. Freud became deeply interested in the plight of patients, typically women, who suffered from hysteria. Through the study of hysteria, Charcot would introduce young Freud to the mysteries he would spend the rest of his life trying to fathom the power of mental forces hidden away from conscious awareness. Furthermore, Freud s father died four years prior to the publication. Painful and disturbing, the long run effect of freeing Freud from his inhibitions impeded his work (Parsons). The death of Freud s father most likely had a significant effect on his mind for the topics stated in The Interpretation of Dreams included a great sense of loss of a parental figure, relating to Freud s ideas of infantile sexuality To Freud, this

Upon those completed evaluation forms the two highest scored candidates will be invited back to complete the second step in the hiring process to participate in the Development Dimensions International, Inc., DDI s simulations allow you to see firsthand how a candidate would perform if placed in a new role. In addition, our simulations give candidates a realistic preview of critical job requirements, so they come into the role with accurate expectations. When the cost of failure is high or when the position is critical to the success of the business, job simulations add a significantly higher degree of selection accuracy and risk mitigation. Includes designing selection systems with three goals in mind: higher quality, increased efficiency, and legal defensibility. (Development Dimensions International, Inc, 2015). This cost of this will vary depending on how much we are willing to invest. From previous experiences, I know that working with Lee Hecht Harrison and providing an executive coach to a Senior Leader for the six month assignment was $18,000.00 investment. So it is an investment but it is worth investment and I have Development Dimensions International set up for a presentation next week so that we have identified the assessment and costs to make sure that DDI meets our needs and exceeds our expectations before sending the two finalists. The candidates are participating in legally defensible assessments. That is not the finalstep in the process. The
  • 40. Freedom Is The Highest Point Of Freedom Freedom has its different demographics and views it can perceived into in which I don t think it can ever justify to a deserved definition. I think we certainly live in the theory and allusion of freedom but also compared to a vast amount of countries it is definitely looked upon as a free society. A country could never reach the highest point of freedom because that is something of the unordinary and we as a country are more close to freedom than any other country will be. Being able to express ourselves by voting, voicing opinions, being of whatever sexuality and religion without interference is a remarkable sense of freedom and luxury many wish to attain. For me specifically, I think the most important factor of living in the American life is the privilege I have of going to school and being educated. If I was never given the opportunity of such a tremendous fortune, I could never imagine residing in a place that would be against it. To me educationis not a something that I should fight for it should be a given, it should be self explanatory as to why it is so extremely important and the fact that some countries deny their people of such grant is one of the many reasons I believe America to be a free country. Not being permitted the right to education especially because I am a female is not a form of life anyone should have to suffer let alone a form of freedom people should be idealized to live with. Definitely living in the United Statesgives me the advantage to be

The knee joint consists of many different structures including the tibial femoral articulation, the patella, and many cartilaginous structures. The meniscus is a fibrocartilaginous, crescent shaped structure located in the kneebetween the medial and lateral tibiofemoral articulating surfaces (Mezhov, Teichtahl, Strasser, Wluka, Cicuttini, 2014). There is both a medial and a lateral menisci, and their function includes loading variable transmissions across the knee joint, shock absorption of tensile and torsion movements, and some joint nutrition. The menisci also... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A diagnosis of osteoarthritis increases the chances of a meniscal injury dramatically as well due to the breakdown of the joint caused by the disease. Symptoms of a meniscus tear can include pain, swelling of the knee, restricted range of motion, stiffness, and popping, locking, or catching sensations. There are many different ways in which a meniscus tear can be evaluated and diagnosed as a whole. The patient s history, pain levels, clinical examination, and imagining testing all come together for a definitive diagnosis of the injury. Clinical examinations can include joint line tenderness which helps define the exact location of the patient s pain, and can rule out other possible diagnoses. This is done by performing a varus or valgus stress test at 30 degree knee flexion while palpating the joint line for associated crepitation, or cracking sound (Konan, Rayan, Haddad, 2009). Joint line tenderness is performed throughout other clinical examinations that can be performed to diagnose a meniscal injury including the McMurray s test, the Apley compression and distraction test, and the Thessaly test. The McMurray s test involves having the knee at full flexion while palpating for a snap along the joint line. The Thessaly test is performed with the patient standing with the knee slightly flexed at 5 degrees and the patient internally and externally

Snowboarding is fun when you can do it with friends. The thrill of snowboarding fast down a snowy hill is fun as well. Snowboarding is less dangerous now due to snowboarding gear and safety signs on slopes. Snowboardingis also great exercise. It improves flexibility in your muscles, and strengthens your legs. Also snowboarding helps improve your inner balance. Snowboarding is also a great aerobic sport. Snowboarding can be fun and exciting to learn because it is easy to learn, it is not that dangerous, and it is very good exercise. Snowboarding provides a great aerobic workout. Snowboarding is a great way to get outdoors, get some fresh air and get moving in the winter. It works out most of all of the body s major muscles, especially the legs and core. Most snowboarders use the big muscles in their legs, such as the quads, calves and hamstrings, to guide the board over the snow. Snowboarders also use their calves and the muscles of their feet and ankles to steer the board. Snowboarding requires good balance, so snowboarders develop stronger core muscles. Snowboarders also tone their upper body as they use their arms for balance. Snowboarding is an excellent aerobic workout that gets the heart rate up and increases cardiovascular and respiratory endurance. It also burns a lot of calories and fat. The average person can expect to burn between 250 and 630 calories per hour, depending on the difficulty of the terrain. More difficult terrain forces your body to work harder to control the board. Snowboarding requires rapid changes in pace and direction, and it requires you to pay attention to the terrain over which you re traveling. As snowboarders become more aware of the terrain and develop the ability to make quick changes in direction and pace, they experience increased flexibility and enhanced focus and concentration. Snowboarding has combined fun, excitement, safety, and

Grand Turk is an island that many cruise ships go to and is by far the best place to go on a cruise. There is an abundance of reasons why this beach is so amazing to me. As soon as you get there, there is a short walk to the side of the beach. One of the best things about this beach is that there not many people that live there and it is really spread out and there is a lot to do. As you walk up on to the beach, you can feel the warm soft sand between your toes and hear the waves crashing down onto the shore. If you keep going further down the beach there is this one place called Jack s Shack. There is so much to do there and so many nice people
  • 44. The Necessity At The Heart Of Every Command The necessity to communicate is at the heart of every command. General Gordon Sullivan put this in perspective best when he explained: Force XXI will leverage the capabilities of the latest technologies to optimize the skill and courage of our soldiers. We will integrate information age technology with our tactical units. We will redesign units, built around people and new technologies, to enhance their agility, versatility and lethality. Combatant commanders who rely upon their communication channels are not able to effectively move vital elements within a combat theatre without the ability to move information. As the country continues to engage combatants in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, the need to effectively communicate has become ever increasing. Moreover, the requirement to share data within and amongst theaters is even more imperative as we link actors to one another well beyond the borders in which we are currently engaged. Program Manager WIN T (Warrior Information Network Tactical) provides commanders with the ability to move data across the world and receive real time directions from commanders located within the Continental United States through internet access. Soldiers, to include commanders are now able to further untether themselves from their command post and communicate both on the move or at the halt, further maximizing their time on the ground. However, progressing to such a point has taken years to accomplish. The

My favorite super villain is Magneto from the X men universe. His motivation is for mutants like him to rule the world and eradicate the human species. The title of a hero or villain is in the eyes of the beholder. For most mutants, he is a legendary herobut for humanbeings he is the epitome of a villain. He believes that mutants are superior to human for a reason and that mutants are destined to populate the earth. To sum it up, he is a villain with a cause. He would protect his fellow mutants through extreme measures. There were numerous times in the movie that he killed and harmed human beings with no hesitation but
  • 46. Student Disengagement Reflection Student disengagement is like a virus that spreads to everyone in the class, just one student with their head down and you soon have a pandemic of uninterested children. It s vital to stop this disengagement as soon as it appears to keep it localized to one student. Currently, I am the long term substitute for a High School Math II class featuring mostly tenth graders. At times it s difficult to hold the attention of a room filled with snarky teenagers. I use a variety of techniques to keep my students engaged drawling from High quality instruction, classroom management skills, and our teacher/student relationship. Every day the lesson plan for my class is fast paced and as exciting as possible. The idea is to keep them busy the entire class to avoid disengagement. If we are moving at a good pace it s harder for a student to zone out or they miss a lot of information. Next, I utilize different types of materials to explain the topic of the day. I may start by giving notes and lecturing, then move on to a video where the same idea is communicated more visually. Changing up instruction methods seems to hold a student attention better than if I simply drone on lecturing. I also like to switch up activities, class may begin with a lecture for fifteen minutes then move on to a worksheet or some online learning. Changing activities provides a natural brain break, although at times I implant those by telling a joke or allowing a student to share a story. Classroom management techniques can also ward off disengagement, when a student is becoming disengaged I try to pull that students attention back to me. Physical presence can sometimes redirect a child s attention back to the material. I will simply stand near the student who is drifting and continue on instructing. If that doesn t work or isn t possible then I call on that student to answer a question, often that student cannot answer because of their lack of attention so I have another student help. This usually corrects the lack of attention because they know I am aware of it. Next I use a direct one on one conversation with the student to redirect them back to the topic at hand. The dawn of new technology has created other ways for students to disengage. My
  • 47. Room Is An Independent Drama Feminist Film Essay Women in media are underrepresented. They are overwhelmingly valued in film based on their identification as a mother, wife, or lover. This is cause by media such as internet and TV because they create comparisons by influencing in an individual s viewpoints of society and setting ideals. Mother s roles in society are and have been watched at as responsible for the development of their children. If these requirements are not fit by mothers they are looked negatively upon society. Room is an independent drama feminist film based on Emma Donoghue novel and is directed by Lenny Abramson in 2015 that changes society s ideals of women as mothers. The film narrates Ma s story of being captive in a room that only have skylight, four walls, a bed, a tub, and a TV with poor signal with her son Jack, a child of rape. After seven years, Jack being five, they are able to escape and Ma s readjustment to society story begin. Through specific choices in cinematography, Abramson creates a feminist film that contradict the ideals of mothers in film and plays with Ma s strength making her a strong motherwhile being captive in room and transforming her into a weak mother when she readjust to society. Strength, sacrifice and love is an embodiment of mother. She should always know how much she is worth and shouldn t let anyone define who she is. A mother s feminine power is very powerful and at the same time supportive. Till their last breath, they will love their child unconditionally.
  • 48. Comparing The Langmuir And Bet Isotherms Figure 3 Comparison of the Langmuir and BET isotherms Fig. 3 compares Langmuir and BET isotherm shapes: gas adsorption along the BET isotherm contributes more significantly at early time of production than that of Langmuir isotherm curve. The reason for this is the slope of the BET isotherm curve at higher pressure is larger than that of the Langmuir isotherm curve, resulting in more adsorbed gas releasing at early production times. The amount of released adsorbed gas with BET isotherm curve is larger than that with Langmuir isotherm curve under the same pressure drop from the initial reservoir pressure to the bottom hole pressure. Dubinin Astakhov equation To describe adsorption in micro porous material, Dubinin Astakhov have proposed form of Dubinin Rudishkevich equation which has the form: a=W_0 ПЃ_L exp{ D[Tln(P_s/P)]^n } Where, a concentration (adsorbed mass per unit adsorbent mass) W_0 Maximum adsorption capacity (volume of adsorbate/mass of adsorbent) ПЃ_L Specific mass of the liquid adsorbate D Coefficient of affinity n Characteristic parameter of the adsorbent adsorbate pair Adsorption Isotherm Models for Multi Components Shale reservoir would rarely contain a pure hydrocarbon fluid. Sometimes the fluid type dry gas may have two or three components accounting for more than 99% of the composition. In some cases, the liquid fluid may contain more than 40 components. There is a large transition zone between the dry gas and the liquid areas. In this
