The concert I watched online was Symphony No. 9 From the New World composed
by the great Antonin Dvorak. This performance was done by the New York
Philharmonic and launched the New York Philharmonic s 175th anniversary season.
This concert was performed by an orchestra and was definitely a performance I
enjoyed to watch and listen to.
In the beginning of the performance, the orchestra begins with an adagio tempo, using
instruments such as cellos and violins. The tempo is very slow and soothing until it
suddenly interrupted by the sound of trumpets. This is setting a tone that something
very dramatic is about to happen. After the trumpets sound, oboes and flutes begin
to play using the same adagio tempo as it was used in the beginning of the
performance. As the flutes and clarinets slowly stop, you can see the conductor,
Alan Gilbert, slowly move his arms apart to instruct the orchestra to get prepared.
Gilbert then swings his arms up and the orchestra switches to an allegro tempo by
using crescendo. Violins, cellos, drums, French horns, tenor trombones and bass
trombones are now used to create a suspenseful tone as if something tragic has just
happened. It then changes back to the adagio tempo using instruments with low pitch
and then transfers back to the oboes, flutes and violins. The first ten minutes of the

defer people from continuing their daily, fast food pit stop, but in reality, it s the

options instead. When you take a moment to look at the ads promoting your favorite
food brands, you ll start to notice the emphasis on things such as calorie count,
ingredients, and freshness of the food. You can clearly see these attributes when
analyzing the three different posters, for three different food products, that I have
selected.
The first poster, is an image of a Heinz ketchup bottle, created using fresh slices of
tomatoes. The second poster is promoting a Veggie Burger from McDonald s by
forming the image of a cow using various vegetables. While the last poster is for the
popular smoothie brand, Naked, in which you see a healthy looking woman running,
with the words Our machines don t run on added sugar or preservatives and neither

While analyzing the first poster, for Heinz ketchup, your eyes quickly realizes the
well known glass Heinz bottle to be made up entirely of thick slices of tomatoes.
The rest of the poster is merely a red background with a small Heinz slogan at the
bottom, which reads, No one grows ketchup like Heinz . The poster is simple, with
only two focal points, the bottle, and the slogan. This forces the consumers to only
focus on what the producer wants them to gather, which is, in this case, the idea of
natural and fresh ingredients. The simplicity of the ad also seems to represent that the

The 60s Scoop refers to the systematic removal of indigenous children from their
homes to be put into foster homes or for adoption by child welfare authorities. This
matter caused great emotional traumas, such as being the inability to express one s
feelings and the stress of being taken away from one s family, for those who were
taken as well as their families. Drew Hayden Taylor s play, Only Drunks And
Children Tell The Truth, depicts these traumas on Janice, an indigenous woman who
was taken from her home as a child and raised in a white household. As the play

What makes a hero? In our society, a hero is thought of as a tall man who wears a
cape and has super powers, but to the Greeks, it was very different. In every Greek
tragedy, there is the tragic hero, defined by Aristotle as a character who is an
extraordinary person, with both good and bad qualities. Although the character
reaches a level of insight, a tragic flaw, such as hamartia, leads to their failure in the

disrespectful, it is a crime against the laws of heaven, and Creon pays dearly for his
crime. When Creon is visited by the blind seer Teiresias, he realizes he has made a
mistake. Yet despite threats from Antigone and his son Haemon, Creon continues
with his original intentions until Teiresias declares:

St Thomas Aquinas developed Natural Law theory from Aristotle and the Stoics in

Introduction
African traditional religions were the first recorded religions to grace the plains
and coasts of Southern Africa and possibly even the world. The earliest group of
people living in Southern Africa has been named the San people. It was thought
that San etchings and implements found in caves dated back to between 10 000 and
20 000 years ago (Deacon, 1999). However in 2008 the oldest art to date was found in
a cave in Still Bay in Cape Town, called the Blombos cave. It was named by
Christopher Henshilwood and dates back to 77,000 years (Wits, 2014). This rock art
is the earliest depiction of religious experience and belief.

The San are polytheistic. They believe in one supreme god, who lives in the
Eastern sky and one lesser god who lives in the western sky (UNISA, 2010:138).
They believe that this supreme god had instituted at world order, thus working the
soil is seen to be contrary to that order. The most important god is a trickster god
called Kaggen who offers wisdom, plays tricks and plays tricks. He is believed to
come in many different guises, from an Eland (the most revered animal for the San),
to a snake or a bird, but he could also live as a San man. Traditionally a boy had to
kill an Eland before he could be considered a man.
The San had many phenomenological beliefs; they believed that their faith and
offerings through song and dance could affect the will of the gods. They often
performed Trance dances to bring rain and depicted these experiences by painting
them on cave walls (Deacon, 1999).

Augustine was born in northern Africa portion of the Roman Empire in 354, a
time of which Catholicism was not a prominent feature of Roman society and of

3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION The CoCaOxM crystals were grown by single
diffusion gel growth technique and the harvested crystals are analysed by FTIR,
XRD, SEM EDX, UV Visible and incubation studied.
3.1 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy The FTIR spectrum of CoCaOxM
crystals were as shown in Fig 3. In FTIR spectrum, a strong band at 3434cm 1 and
3062cm 1 is due to asymmetric and symmetric OH stretching while an intense
absorptions band at 3261cm 1 show inters molecular hydrogen bonded OH stretch.
Intense absorption band at 1612cm 1 and 1318cm 1 can be assigned to asymmetric
and symmetric C=O stretching bands specific to the Calcium Oxalate
Monohydrate. The sharp band at 885cm 1 is due to C C stretching vibrations
which confirm the existence of oxalate group in Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate.
The sharp peak at 781cm 1 is due to O C=O and the wideband at 665cm 1 can be
assigned to the bending modes of the water molecule. However, the peak at 518cm 1
is assigned to the presence of metal oxygen bond (18 21). Thus FTIR reveals that the
growth of COM crystals was due to the presence of O H stretching, C=O, C C, O
C=O and M=O bonds.
There are some additional peaks formed due to the process of doping some
absorption peaks due to OH vibrations are changed because of the incorporation of
dopant in the lattice. In the case of CoCaOxM crystals additional peaks are found at
1285cm 1 and 1462cm 1 which are attributed to the C=O stretching. These peaks are

The title of a book is the first thing the reader sees when they pick it up. It serves as
a first taste of what to expect in the book they are spending their time reading. In the
play Fences by August Wilson, the title reflects the issues faced by the various
characters and the figurative or sometimes literal fence that divides them all. Troy
Maxson, the main character, is working on building a fence in front of his house to
serve as a divider for their property. He struggles to form strong relationships with
his sons and in some cases his wife Rose, causing a fence to form in between them.
A fence develops throughout the play for Troy and Rose, Troy and his family, and

been ignoring its construction. He builds the wall between himself and Cory by
not having a perfect relationship with him from the start and for not being around

The reasons and motivations for murder are a vast, tangled web of emotions and
twisted logic. None but a murderer can ever fully grasp why one would do such a
thing. Occasionally, even the murderer themself does not understand why the
dastardly act was performed. Their own mind rendered them unable to understand
their impulses and the world around them. The narrator of A Tell Tale Heart is
innocent by reason of insanity due to the fact that he is unable to recognizethe fact
that murderwas wrong and unethical, controlled by impulses that are both irrational
and immoral, and cannot distinguish reality from fabrications of his mind, feeling
paranoia towards mundane facts.
In the story, the narrator cannot distinguish that of his own mind from reality. Near
