Moving To A Movie Home Analysis
The most important decision you can make, one that will make or break the date, is the type of movie you choose to go
see. Now if you re already in a relationship or married, the rules of film selection are a little different.
The Golden Rule: Do not go to the movies on the first date. I can not stress this enough. The first date is all about
getting to know each other and the movie theater is the last place you ll be able to do that.
The Movie Rental: If you want to watch a movie and your budget is a little tight, consider renting a movie and taking it
back home with you. Ten years ago going to a movie would have been affordable, but things have changed. Admission
to a film is about $11 and some theaters even offer luxury seating now which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Adapted from the best selling novel, the film tells the story of two star struck lovers from different sides of the track.
Sound familiar? The movie is about love at first sight...the type of love that you carry with you wherever you go and
regardless of the circumstances. The type of love that stays with you throughout your life and doesn t let you forget.
My Cousin Vinny (COMEDY 1992 Starring Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei): When two young men are convicted of a
crime they didn t commit, it s up to Joe Pesci (playing a hysterical role as the argumentative attorney from New York)
to save them from being sent to the electric chair. My Cousin Vinny is a well written and clever comedy that is sure to
be a hit. Marisa Tomei does an incredible job as Joe Pesci fiance; she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting

Sticky Eye Technique
Why you should use eye contact.
Eye contact builds a level of trust with the other person. It also projects confidence and communicates your level of
attraction.
Establish eye contact
When you spot a person that you are attracted to try short frequent glances. With your glance add a smile to elicit
submissiveness.
Add a smile to your gaze
When you add a smile to your gaze it shows friendliness and romantic intentions. If you get a smile back it shows that
their attracted to you.
Once your eyes lock and there is a held gaze you now have the green light to approach them.
Once you have the green light use your eyebrows to start the conversation

When gazing into the other persons eye its best to hold it for at least 4 or 5 seconds.
Interesting information: You can get someone to obey you by holding your gaze. This is done by speaking steadily and
clearly as if everything your saying is intentional. It is also important to hold your head still when gazing into someone
s eye. When you do this action with a frown it shows concern and when lower your eyebrows it shows that your
questioning something.
Extra tips:
Sticky Eye Technique
This is where you maintain your gaze on your partner, even during silence. If you have to away from them do it slowly
and unwillingly. This is a good way to seduce someone into thinking about you. This method also creates a fight or
flight reaction in a person releasing the chemical phenyl ethylamine in the body. When this occurs it causes the other to
generate emotions of love.
Make Your Pupils Dilate
In a study it was shown that dilated puplis are more attractive to men than small pupils. To enlarge your pupils, look at
a feature on the guy that your attracted to. Then think loving or sexy thoughts in your head, this will cause your pupils

Boston Marathon Bombing Analysis
The bombing of the Boston Marathon is one of the least deadly terrorist attacks against our county, but has brought to
light many lessons that need to be learned. The Boston Marathon Bombing took place on April 15, 2013 at 1449 hours.
Two men planted bombs near the finish line of the event which killed three spectators and wounded 260 others. The
bombs were pressure cooker bombs packed with shrapnel and other materials hidden in backpacks that were
maliciously placed amidst the crowd (History.com Staff, 2014). Technology that was involved was the Alpha Medical
Tent which was located in Copley Square just beyond the finish line. This tent had enhanced medical capabilities to
help to provide relief to marathon runners after race limiting the burden on local hospitals, and is staffed by medical
professional who volunteer their time to support race. With this Tent in place it already had sixteen ambulances staged
in the event it could not medically care for runners. After the bomb blast a Boston Area Medical Alert was requested.
This request got an additional seventy three ambulances, some from private companies, and were staged within
minutes to start providing support. Boston EMS triaged patients around blast area then transported the most critical

Stereotypes In Scandal

ABC s television series Scandal has become one of the most watched dramas on television. In this political economy
analysis, content will be analyzed in terms of its ownership and how this influences and reflects culture ideologies.
Lastly, an alternative programming of the series will be suggested and analyzed to contrast with the existing ideology
presented in Scandal.
The ABC television series Scandal presents the life of Olivia Pope, former White House Communications Director for
the President of the United States, who starts her own crisis management firm, Olivia Pope Associates, to protect the
public images of the nation s elite. The American political thriller stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a
mastermind in keeping the nations biggest secrets under wrap. Pope s team, referred to as the gladiators in suits are at

Having an African American woman take the role of a powerful, smart, decision maker exemplifies the idea that the
media can move past cultural ideologies of gender stereotypes such that women who act firmly are bitches. A clear
example of this is represented in episode six of the fourth season when Pope explicitly expresses why calling a woman
a bitch is so very problematic; Don t say that. The words used to describe women! If she was a man you d say she was
formidable, or bold or right (Gray, 2014). Stereotypically, politics are considered a male dominated world; yet placing
Olivia Pope in such a demanding political position strays away from cultural stereotypes. Nevertheless, Olivia Pope is
not the only authoritative woman in this series. All of the female cast members are represented as successful and

Of Mice And Men Response Essay
The movie Of mice and Men starts off with dark and mysterious music that leads that leads the viewers with questions.
It then appears on the screen with a girl running through the California country in a red dress. At the same you see the
two men running the other way.The movie Of Mice and men had great soundtrack, cinematic, characterization, that all
goes with a story and big ideas. Lennie and George American dream was to share a farm. . Lennie ( John Malkovich) is
a very soft and sensitive guys and is very down to earth. He is also very compassionate about soft things because it
comforts him like nothing else. John plays his very well. George (Gary Sinise) is very smart short guy who isn t the
strongest but he uses brains over brawn, Gary acts just how Steinbeck explained George in the book. George is also the
leader of them meaning that he makes all the decisions, he is basically in charge of Lennie and he doesn t let Lennie
talk to anyone so he doesn t mess anything up. The audience knows that George is the leader by the way his tone is.

Evidence Based Practice In Nursing Theory
Nurses are confronted with a variety of issues, concerns, and conditions. All of these circumstances require the use of
various theories. According to Im and Chang (2012), there are many theories in nursing that center on enduring issues,
as well as the current issues that nurse s encounter. For this reason, nursing theories can address the complexity of
health care issues. This is especially true for APNs who must meet more demanding health care needs. As an APN,
there is a greater need to understand the connection between theory and practice. McCrae (2012) stated that evidence
based practice is meaningful in regards to nursing theories, especially for the modern clinical environments which
consist of multidisciplinary teams. APN are

Constructing Lego Robots
For the first robotics project, my team worked together to assemble a Lego robot and used NXT software to program it
to do specific tasks. The process of constructing the robot was one that was a group effort, for there were many small
pieces and components that had to be fitted together in a very specific way. It was a learning experience for all of us,
because none of us had ever used Legos to build something that complicated nor followed such detailed instructions
that were presented as images with very few words. So not only did we get feedback from one another on how to
construct the robot, but we also put our heads together to figure out errors we made in the programming. In accordance

Morton as trying to state he was objective, and was being honest. The two major different pieces that support the thesis
that Morton tried to be objective is his use of lead shot instead of mustrard seed and his openness with all his data.
When Morton realized that his Mustard seed technique was unstable and presented varied results he quickly changed to
a lead shot which was more accurate. Morton was very open when it came to displaying his data. He published results
which included numbers, not just explainations.
Select any two of the general categories of fudging and finagling that Gould has identified in Morton s work except
that of miscalculations and convenient omissions. For each of the two selected categories, briefly explain the category
in your own words. Carefully sketch Gould s major specific example of the category. Explain explicitly how the
example fits the category into which Gould has put it, state which of Morton s publication(s) the example comes from,
state the racial groups and/or subgroups featured in the example, and (following Gould) explain the effects of the
finagling on Morton s conclusions about racial ranking.

What Is Violation Of Philip Malloy s First Amendment Rights
Would you believe me if I told you a child was suspended for humming the national anthem? In the book Nothing but
the Truth by Avi, that is exactly what happens to 9th grader Philip Malloy. Philip Malloy s rights were violated
because, he has the right to freedom of speech, he was suspended from school and he has the right to express his
patriotism and in the book he was not allowed to do these things. Philip was asked to stop humming when the national
anthem was being played. This violated his first amendment rights because he was not allowed to express which is
restricting his freedom of speech and that is clearly against the first amendment. The first amendment is as follows:
...or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the government for a redress of grievances. (Cornell.edu)This means that nobody can stop you from talking or
expressing whenever you want and Philip was asked to stop talking during the national anthem. This is why Philip s
rights were violated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

be a need for food/pharmacies around the US. CVS Health also does Social Responsibilities grants for improving

Narrative Essay About Gilmore Girls
Lorelai raised me. Luke fed me. Emily wanted me. And above all, Richard knew me. Stars Hallow, circa 2001, stands
as the place I come from. At the cusp of Autumn, it all began. The necessary foliage is sprinkled purposely around the
gutters. There She Goes, is playing in the background. This is Gilmore Girls, at its best. Hold back your flashbacks.
Stop thinking of Dawson s Creek, One Tree Hill, Seventh Heaven, or any other 90 s teenage crap drama. This show is
so much more than a single mom, a budding teenage daughter, a controlling relationship, a Connecticut town, or an
eccentric neighbor. At its core, Gilmore Girls stands as the essence of who I am. Now a days, it is considered a social
priority to find favor in current mind bending intellectual feasts of television. A young scholar such as myself, is
expected to be elbow deep in the latest Aaron Sorkin. Yet, I cling to the wholesome, extinct WB network. If that makes
me a phony, a goon, or a pretentious soccer mom, so be it. Through and through, I have watched all seven seasons
eight times. At twelve years old I entered the world. Today, I can not say for certain that I have left. I wake up in Stars

Two Organelles Research Paper
The largest organelle, the nucleus is a membrane bound organelle that contains the vast majority of the cell s DNA.
The nucleus is considered the defining feature of a eukaryotic cell because its presence separates eukaryotes from the
more ancient prokaryotic cell. The nucleus is often referred to as the control center of the cell because the DNA that it
contains directs all aspects of cellular function (18). While most cells only have one nucleus, some cells (red blood
cells) lack a nucleus and are therefore unable to divide and produce daughter cells. In humans, some types of skeletal
muscle cells have multiple nuclei during their development; however multinucleated cells can also be associated with
inflammation (19) and tumor development (20).
The nucleus is bound by the nuclear envelope, a two membrane structure that forms an impermeable barrier around the
DNA and other nuclear components, separating them from the cytoplasm. The inner nuclear membrane faces the
chromosomes and is a phospholipid bilayer that contains many different proteins. The outer membrane, also a
phospholipid bilayer, faces the cytoplasm and in many cells it is continuous with the rough ER (21). ... Show more

Each pore complex is composed of approximately 1000 proteins called nucleoporins (18). Each pore is large enough to
allow passage of ribosomal subunits, large protein RNA complexes, and other materials that are necessary for gene
expression and chromosomal maintenance. Larger molecules must be actively transported through the pore while small
molecules and ions move freely between the nucleus and the cytosol. Therefore in addition to providing a protected
compartment for the DNA, the nuclear envelope also regulates gene expression by controlling the movement of
proteins, RNA and other regulatory molecules into or out of the nucleus

John Edgar Hoover Contributions
Largely due to John Edgar Hoover s contribution, the Federal Bureau of Investigation today is acknowledged for its
organized crime fighting force. As the first director of the FBI, Hoover s guidance was vital in shaping the Bureau s
image as he integrated technology with modern crime solving techniques and emphasized the use of surveillance to
follow suspected criminals. Many believe Hoover s greatest accomplishment was becoming the first director of the
FBI; however, his most significant feat is how he molded the FBI into an effective organization that during Hoover s
lifetime operated without the supervision of the branches of government. Hoover was born and raised in Washington
D.C and had a relatively normal childhood. Hoover was born on January 1, 1895, and raised by Dickerson Hoover and
Annie Hoover (Biography). Being raised in Washington D.C played a significant role in Hoover s life as his parents
worked for the government and were exposed to politics at a young age. Being raised close to the nation s capital
influenced Hoover to major in law as he saw the opportunities that were available for elected officials. It is possible
that if Hoover did not major in law, he would not have pursued politics thus, never becoming the first director of the
FBI. Hoover eventually joined the training corps program and continued to refute social norms. More specifically,
Hoover joined the Reserve Officers Training Corps and was vocal in supporting women s rights (Biography). This is
important as joining the Officers Training Corps allowed him to develop leadership abilities that he would eventually
apply when leading the FBI. Hoover´s willingness to change a precedent will be vital to forming the FBI as Hoover
applied new methods on a large scale which made people question his reliability as the first director. Hoover chose to
study law in order to be able to enter politics. More specifically, In 1916, he gained his Bachelor degree in
Law...Following year, he attained a Master s degree in Law from the University. (Biography) Hoover´s law degree
enabled him to join the Department of Justice and was assigned to the War Emergency Board. Hoover´s
accomplishments eventually lead to him working under Mitchell

Tongues Untied Tongues Untied is about intersectionality, specifically between being black and being a gay man. It is a
semi documentary based on the filmmaker, Marlon Rigg s, life. Tongues Untied only runs about an hour long, and
completely devoid of plot, but still has a very powerful message. Much of Tongues Untied s message comes from the
cinematography, close up on lips as a black pastor preaches about the sin of homosexuality , shots look like double
vision or cross eyed while the narrator discusses being a double minority. The sound design also plays into the meaning
very heavily, there is a small tapping noise that grows louder and louder until by the end of the film, you feel like you

With this approach, it shows a personal account and fiction in an attempt to show the level of detail of black gay
identity. The silence referred to throughout the film is that of black gay men, who are unable to express themselves
because of the unfair, pre decided bad opinions of white and black heterosexual communities , as well as the white gay
community of people/all good people in the world.
The story structure of Tongues Untied is both interesting and unusual. Besides including fact filled story or film about
an event or person video detailing North American black gay culture, Riggs also tells of his own experiences as a gay
man. These include the understanding/ achieving a goal of his sexual identity and of successfully dealing with the
deaths of many of his friends to AIDS. Other elements within the film include video of the Civil Rights Movement and
clips of Eddie Murphy performing an extremely afraid of homosexuality stand up something commonly

Buddhism Diane Morgan Analysis
Buddhism has many interesting aspects, but in this paper, I will be focusing on a passage from Essential Buddhism by
Diane Morgan, about karma. In her book, karma is defined as both action and fruits of action (page 82). Karma is what
Buddhist believes your life is shaped by whether it be good or bad Karma. Especially when it comes to reincarnation,
since, with good karma you are believed to be reincarnated into better levels of life forms. For example an animal
could become a human man. On the other hand, bad karma will downgrade your reincarnation to a less desired level.
Karma seems to be independently driven as Morgan states in the passage that There is no punishing god ... Any action

For the religion karma is karma and it affects all sentient beings (page 85). Since there is not an immediate punishment
to create good karmic seeds, there is a lack of motivation for people in the faith to follow that way of thinking. Unless
you are completely devoted to the face, a common individual would lack the will to go to such extremes in hopes they
might one day become enlightened in another life. I believe that because humans tend to make inherently bad choices,
it is impossible for an average human being who is not able to just dedicate all thoughts and time to the Buddhist
practice to achieve enough good karmic seeds to accomplish nirvana. Especially, since it is said that you will have no
recollection of your past life, making it difficult to correct your past wrongs, or know where your karmic standing lies
besides saying an animal is a lower karmic standing than a man. Without knowing how you can improve your karmic
standing or how let go of caring about your karmic standing, Buddhism creates its own impossibility to receive enough
good karma to achieve true

I am writing this paper to inform my reader of lifestyles that can contribute to PAD My audience will be caregivers
who care for people with this disease I will take the angle on what causes this condition I need to know can this disease
be prevented?
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a secondary result of atherosclerosis and it can develop in any of your arteries.
When atherosclerosis affects your arms and legs, it is called Peripheral Artery Disease. Atherosclerosis is when the
arteries become clogged with clumps of fat, cholesterol and other material called atherosclerotic plaques which causes
the arteries to become hard and narrow. These plaques can make arteries so narrow that less blood flows through. You
feel pain because your leg muscles are not getting enough oxygenated blood. Oxygen is the fuel that muscles need to
contract. Oxygen is also needed to keep your cells living and when oxygen is not present your cells began to die.
I am writing this paper because our family is dealing with my dear grandmother who is suffering from PAD. She has
been in daily pain for over 2 years now and the disease is progressing rapidly. My mother, who is my grandmother s
caregiver, has been living with her for about two years: caring for her who despite losing all of her toes on both feet

Are Data Algorithms And Algorithms Can Be Been Solving...
Traditional statisticians have been solving data problems for years. Example, when faced with the large data problem
statisticians had a simple and proven technique to solve the problem by sampling the records. This is a sound
methodology as the statisticians could prove statistically that a representative or random sample could speak for the
whole population. The only problem was that when stakeholders wanted to drill down into the details they inevitably
had to query the whole file. The reality is that data scientists run various data mining techniques and various
algorithms that can accommodate both large and small files. However, companies may want to consider examining and
cleansing the data they collect before running their analyses. This brings up the question of whether or not big data
methods and algorithms can be considered reliable. Data quality is still a challenge even in the world of big data.
The reality is that he world of big data is somewhat messy. Given data is collected so fast and is usually unprocessed
(raw) it may be incomplete versus most traditional transactional data. Data may be missing many values or may

To section the hair, you need to decide the type of curls you want. That is, tight or loose. If you want tight and well
defined curls, make sure to section the hair into smaller portions. For best results, the sections should be at least one
inch. This however is a matter of personal choice so don t feel obligated to use the 1 inch sections technique. Use clips
to keep sections away from each other and ensure there are no tangles in the hair.
Step Three: Prepare Your Heated Rollers
Most hot rollers heat up very fast. So ensure you know how much time your rollers take to heat up. Only heat the
rollers you are going to use. In addition, your clips should also be ready as you will need them to clamp it onto the hot
roller to properly secure your hair. For safety purposes, ensure you know where exactly to hold the roller because they
can get too hot. So always take extra precaution while handling the hot rollers.
Step Four: Roll The Rollers On
To put on the rollers, use the top to bottom technique. This technique ensures your hair is not tangled as well as
prevents you from getting confused. Roll everything in even the tips to get defined curls and secure the rollers with a

The Impact of Humans on the Biological Diversity of Natural Ecosystems
Introduction
Since humans have come into existence they have always been a cause of change of whatever natural areas they
inhabit along with the living organisms of those natural areas. The different types of organisms such as plants, animals,
and microorganisms that inhabit these areas are known as biological diversity or biodiversity. (USEPA 2010 )
Biological diversity can be affected by many different things, climate change, and area being two specific things.
Humans fit into a strange niche of biological diversity. While we have a part of biodiversity and in ecosystems, the
human race has spread much farther than any other breed or type of organism except for ... Show more content on

out street vendors, or near infallible CCTV watching over us as policemen and sheriffs once did, to realise the extent
that technology has enhanced and improved our existence. Given the speed and effectiveness with which computer

The question of consciousness In order to determine whether it is possible to compute consciousness, it is first
necessary to define consciousness. This in itself is something that scientists and philosophers have struggled with for
ages. For the purposes of this paper, the definition proposed by [Searle, 1998] will be used: Consciousness consists of
inner, qualitative, subjective states and processes of sentience or awareness. Consciousness, so defined, begins when
we wake in the morning from a dreamless sleep and continues until we fall asleep again, die, go into a coma or
otherwise become unconscious. The difficulty with this definition with regards to the Turing computability of
consciousness is that it defines the existence of a subjective state as a prerequisite for consciousness. According to
Searle s Chinese room argument [Searle, 1980], the fact that a system produces the same output as a conscious mind
would in response to the same input does not prove the presence of subjective consciousness. However, this same
argument can be used in favour of solipsist views; it cannot be proven that anyone in this world is truly conscious
merely by virtue of acting in ways that suggest consciousness. It is therefore a moot point. As [Turing, 1950] put it:
[I]nstead of arguing continually over this point, it is usual to have a polite convention that everyone thinks. If the

Some of my favorite times in Europe were when my family would hop into the car and drive off to a city hours away,
maybe even in the neighboring country. It never failed to astonish me how every city was different from the last. There
were always new sights to see, new cuisine to try, and different happenings going on. If I had to name one thing I miss
from my time in Europe, it would definitely be the festivals. There was this one summer when I went to a wine festival

lake where the river poured into, a brown, centuries old castle stood proudly upon a hill and peered down at the town.
Stalls were set up on either side of the street and people surged through the market talking animatedly and sharing
laughs with their friends, usually with some form of food or drink in hand. A brass band played close by and people of
all ages paired up to dance to the music that resonated throughout the town. With a bratwurst in hand, my mother and I
strolled through town and looked at the countless shops that lined the street. Even away from the stalls and music, on
every street and back alley, there were people buzzing with life and activity. The atmosphere was cozy, happy, and
welcoming. Even someone like me, who didn t speak the language, fit right in. [how is this

The Problem of Acid Rain Essay
The Problem of Acid Rain
WHAT CAUSES ACID RAIN
When power stations, factories, houses and cars release pollution into the air it has chemicals in it called sulphur
dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
SULPHUR DIOXIDE: Man made sulphur dioxide comes mainly from burning fossils fuels in power stations. It then
mixes with water in the atmosphere to make sulphuric acid, which will later fall as acid rain.
NITROGEN OXIDES: Nitrogen oxides are also man made and mainly come from car exhausts. These gases also go
into the atmosphere and mix with water to form nitric acid, which once again falls as acid rain.

This makes it easier for fungi and insects to attack the tree, and as a result the tree may die.

Acid rain not only damages soil but can also affect the trees directly. Pollutants can block or damage the little pores on
the leaves through which the plant takes in the air it needs to survive.
LAKES AND WATER Acid rain can damage the water and the wildlife in lakes. A lake that has been affected by acid
rain looks clean and crystal clear, but contains no life. Most wild plants and animals that live in clean, unpolluted lakes
cannot live in acid waters.
Fish are poisoned by the aluminium which is washed out of the ground into the lakes. Lakes also receive rainfall
directly from the sky.
A healthy lake has a pH of around 6.5 and a large number of plants, insects and fish can live there. In addition, there
are a number of animals and birds that feed on the plentiful food in a healthy lake.
As the lake becomes more acidic (the pH gets smaller) the fish find it more difficult to reproduce successfully, as the
young fish find it difficult to live in the high levels of acidity and die. It is not only the acid in the water that kills them,
but also poisonous minerals like aluminium that are washed out of the surrounding ground into the water. The birds
that eat the fish also begin to suffer as the harmful

The Abolishment of Slavery Essay
Abolishment of Slavery Slavery was caused by economic factors of the English settlers in the late 17th century.
Colonists continually tried to allure laborers to the colony. The head right system was to give the indentured servant, a
method of becoming independent after a number of years of service. Slavery was caused by economic reasons.
Colonists chiefly relied on Indentured Servitude, in order to facilitate their need for labor. The decreasing population
combined with a need for a labor force, led colonists to believe that African slaves were the most efficient way to
acquire a labor force that would satisfy their needs. Slaves were people who were taken from their homeland in Africa

During the time around 1850, tensions were rising on the issue of slavery between the North and the South. New states
were being admitted to the United States, but the decisions to make them a free state or a slave state were what really
mattered. As an example, California was admitted to the Union as a free state, and this angered the south very much
because slavery was a very important factor to the South s economy. The Compromise of 1850 was developed to help
soothe the tensions on each side. This Compromise had several provisions: California was admitted to the Union as a
free state; the territories of New Mexico and Utah were created without restrictions of slavery; the slave trade was
abolished in Washington, D.C.; Congress passed a stricter fugitive slave law. This compromise showed just how
important slavery was to each side, and it gives us a good idea of why it could be important as one of their goals during
the Civil War. With slavery in mind, it brought about ideas of succession to the South. Because the South was scared of
Lincoln abolishing slavery, they thought it would be a wise decision to secede from the Union. In fact, Lincoln had no
plans of abolishing slavery, but stated that it should not spread to the territories. The South basically misunderstood and
decided to secede anyway. The reason slavery was so important to the South, and lead them to break apart from the
Union was that it

The Disciplinary Dilemma Of Tourism Studies
Summary of the Disciplinary Dilemma of Tourism Studies
Introduction
The study of the tourism phenomenon is a relatively recent addition in academic to achieve a goal. Five main academic
disciplines in tourism research have been identified by Jafari and Ritchie (1981) which are economics, sociology,
psychology, geography, and anthropology. A survey that conducted by Sheldon from North American tourism and

afraid he would never be able to get out of. However, Mr. Mink decided he wasn t going to be beaten and taken over
by sadness thus he began his new way of life. Mr. Mink began hi new role in teaching the young about outside dangers,
so that they do not turn out like Timmy. This led Mr. Mink to believe that his true calling was teaching. As he
continued his quest to spread awareness he came across yet another obstacle. Mr. Minks wife Mrs. Mink was
diagnosed with a tumor in her left leg. The Medic Mink stated she had about a years time. Mr. Mink decided to put his
teachings on hold to spend more time with Mrs. Mink he traveled the far open plains and winding rivers. With Mrs.

Compare And Contrast Essay Lebroon James Vs Stephen Curry
LeBron James plays the small forward position and stands at 6 foot 8 and weighs 250 lbs, and Stephen Curry plays the
point guard position and stands at 6 foot 3 and weighs 190 lbs. LeBron James has played 13 season and Stephen Curry
has played 7 seasons. Obviously LeBron James stats are going to be higher for the most part because he has played
longer, but I want to compare and project who is going to be better at the end of their careers and who s better now.
Granted, both players play different position so they have to be judged on if they are better players overall. Although,
both players are very qualified, one has to be better and that can be determined by aspects such as: offensive
performance, defensive performance, championships and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through nine seasons Lebron James has has averaged 27.20 points per game and in his career he has 26,338 which is
18th most of all time. Stephen Curry through 6 seasons has averaged 21.90 points per game and in his career he has
10,257 which is 343rd most of all time. Right now it is very hard to argue whether Lebron is a better shooter than
Stephen curry, but you can argue what if they were better at one time. In 2006 LeBron James averaged 31.4 points per
game and in 2016 Stephen Curry averaged 29.7 points per game. Although when it comes to 3 point shooting LeBron
has never shot as well as curry on average; Stephen Curry currently has a .443 3 point shooting percentage over his
career in the regular season while LeBron shoots .339 from three. In addition Curry also has a better free throw
shooting percentage at .901 compared to LeBron s .744 free throw shooting percentage. Although both players n field
goal percentage are nearly the same LeBrons percentage is .497 while Currys field goal percentage is .475 slightly

The Golden Era Of Hip Hop Was A Period In The 80S And Early
The Golden Era of Hip Hop was a period in the 80s and early 90s characterized by its diversity, innovation, and
cultural influence. Hip Hop is considered to have been born in 1973, in South Bronx, New York by Jamaican born
Kool DJ Herc (Blanchard, B, 1999). He used a turntable technique at a Halloween party, which eventually became
extremely popular at every party scene. The term breakdancing came to life shortly after. Rhymes over hip hop music,
also known as rap, began first as a commentary of the ability of the DJ. MCs introduced DJs and their songs. This
rhythmic music produced by DJs at parties combined with an increase of break dancers, graffiti artists, and importance
of MCs, created what we know today as the culture of hip hop. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rap was called the black CNN by rapper Chuck D because they were reporting issues within the inner city community
through mainstream media. This idea of rap as the black CNN can be seen from the descendance of rapper as griots.
Griots were the keepers and purveyors of of knowledge, which included tribal history, family lineage, news of birth
and death, and war (Blanchard, B, 1999). Rappers create songs that through performance and recordings, allows it to
spread worldwide about their lives, dreams, and discontents. They are the voice of poor, urban African American youth
whose lives are usually misrepresented or dismissed by mainstream media. Rappers become the keepers of
contemporary African American working class history and concerns.
Public Enemy s lyrics were dissected by critics in light of Chuck D s statement. Their song called Fight the Power,
recorded in 1989, caused uproar because of the blunt attacks of celebrities such as Elvis Presley and John Wayne. They
called these two celebrities out on being racist instead of being a hero to them, Public Enemy or it could be generalized
to the black community, as they were to everyone else. This song created a unified message that could apply to
everyone, not just the African American community. Beneath the lyrics lie powerful messages about history and
politics. When people listen and don t understand the lyrics, it causes them to maybe want to do research to be more
informed. Rappers such

Human Nature In Tell-Tale Heart By Edgar Allan Poe
Wallace Stevens, a poet, once said Human nature is like water. It takes the shape of its container. Even though
everyone has the same aspects of human nature, they are established in different individuals or containers , who have
distinct combinations of background and experiences. Every individual has the same psychological traits, actions, and
characteristics, but they are displayed in a different manner. Through the common social and emotional qualities of a
fictional character and the reader, an author can express aspects of human nature that reality alters and distorts.
In fictional works, the fantasy world created by the author contains a sense of truth that is exaggerated that reality
cannot replicate. For instance, in the short ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
[made his] blood [run] cold (Poe 1) and subsequently commits the murder of the old man. This example leads to the
the assumption that humans naturally do not want to stay in an uncomfortable situation. Instead, the individual will
make an effort to get out of this circumstance, and in the case of The Tell Tale Heart, the protagonist took extreme
measures to get rid of this discomfort. In this fictional world, the aspects of human nature are amplified from the
improbable situation which makes truths about human nature clear for the reader to understand. Furthermore, from the
short story The Possibility of Evil by Shirley Jackson, the protagonist Miss Adela Strangeworth is depicted as a two
faced woman who seems to have good relationships with her neighbor in person, but internally, she believes that
people everywhere were lustful and evil and degraded, and needed to be watched (Jackson 6), so she secretly writes
rude, subjective letters to her neighbors criticizing their actions. Miss Strangeworth is an example that humans are

Essay on Apollo Program
Michael Penwarden Phillip Whitworth 6/20/13 Senior paper No nation which expects to be the leader of other nations

not because they are easy, but because they are hard. John F. Kennedy. The Apollo missions had one main goal, to land
on the moon and get back to earth safely. Apollo was the third space flight program after Project Gemini and Project
Mercury, flown by NASA (National Astronautics and Space Administration). The program started in 1967 and was
able to land humans on the moon by 1972. The Apollo missions had important effects on technologies and the nation

It was launched July 5, 1966. (NASA) Apollo 4 was still an unmanned mission but it was given the name Apollo back.
During this mission the objectives where to demonstrate structural integrity and operations needed for launch and
recovery. The flight lasted nine hours and landed 16km off target. It successfully demonstrated the heat shield at lunar
re entry speeds. It was launched November 9, 1967. (NASA) The Apollo 5 mission was used to verify operations of the
lunar module and evaluate descent propulsion systems. There was no Apollo capsule on this flight and no recovery; it
was just testing the rocket. It was launched June 22, 1968. (NASA) Apollo 6 was the second flight of Saturn V; Saturn
V was a type of rocket that they used. Problems occurred with vibrations when they caused two second stage engines
to shut down early. The third stage engine also failed and achieved high speed entry speeds. The problems with
vibrations where fixed thus Saturn V was deemed safe for human. It was launched April 4, 1968. (NASA) Apollo 7
was very important; it was the first manned mission after the fire. It was also the first real flight due to Apollo 1
burning pre launch. The launch was broadcasted live on TV and was very important because it proved America s
legitimate space program. The flight went off without a hitch and landed safely. The astronauts of Apollo 7 were Walter
Schirra as commander, R. Walter Cunningham as lunar module pilot, and Donn F.

Big Brother s Language In The Book 1984 By George Orwell
The passage on pages 80 and 81 is significant because it shows how if Big Brother is able to make everyone believe
the most simple fact is different than what they know to be true, then he can change any piece of information without
opposition. By using the fear of what happens when people go against Big Brother and the government, they can make
people believe two plus two equals five (80). Everyone knows two plus two equals four, it s one of the most basic facts
and can be proven on our fingers. If Big Brother announces that two plus two equals five, everyone will be forced,
through fear, to believe it to be true. Even though they can prove two plus two equals equals four with their fingers, the
fear Big Brother instills in them makes sure ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To be able to control what the populous does, Big Brother has set up telescreens and cameras everywhere in the non
Prole parts of Oceania, specifically in people s homes, that allow him and his government to watch all party members
movements and words. This surveillance allowed Big Brother to control the populous because everyone lived from
habit that became instinct in assumption that every sound you made was heard, and, except in darkness, every
movement scrutinized (3). By forcing everyone to live knowing that everything they did was being watched, Big
Brother was able to restrict the actions and conversations of the people. People tend to act differently if they knew they
were alone compared to if they knew they were being watched. This is because when you are being watched, you feel
the need to act more appropriate and not do anything that could be considered weird. The reason the people of Oceania
were to be controlled to the point of seeming like sheep, was because of the fear that was instilled through the Thought
Police. Just being watched can partially control someone s actions due to them not wanting to seem weird, but by
placing an inescapable death penalty on anyone that acts up, Big Brother can control them with their fear of death. This
fear that

The Boston Marathon Bombing took place on April 15, 2013 at 1449 hours. Two men planted bombs near the finish line of the event which killed three spectators and wounded 260 others. The bombs were pressure cooker bombs packed with shrapnel and other materials hidden in backpacks that were maliciously placed amidst the crowd (History.com Staff, 2014). Technology that was involved was the Alpha Medical Tent which was located in Copley Square just beyond the finish line. • 14. Two Organelles Research Paper The largest organelle, the nucleus is a membrane bound organelle that contains the vast majority of the cell s DNA. The nucleus is considered the defining feature of a eukaryotic cell because its presence separates eukaryotes from the more ancient prokaryotic cell. The nucleus is often referred to as the control center of the cell because the DNA that it contains directs all aspects of cellular function (18). While most cells only have one nucleus, some cells (red blood cells) lack a nucleus and are therefore unable to divide and produce daughter cells. In humans, some types of skeletal muscle cells have multiple nuclei during their development; however multinucleated cells can also be associated with inflammation (19) and tumor development (20). The nucleus is bound by the nuclear envelope, a two membrane structure that forms an impermeable barrier around the DNA and other nuclear components, separating them from the cytoplasm. The inner nuclear membrane faces the chromosomes and is a phospholipid bilayer that contains many different proteins. The outer membrane, also a phospholipid bilayer, faces the cytoplasm and in many cells it is continuous with the rough ER (21). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 15. John Edgar Hoover Contributions Largely due to John Edgar Hoover s contribution, the Federal Bureau of Investigation today is acknowledged for its organized crime fighting force. As the first director of the FBI, Hoover s guidance was vital in shaping the Bureau s image as he integrated technology with modern crime solving techniques and emphasized the use of surveillance to follow suspected criminals. Many believe Hoover s greatest accomplishment was becoming the first director of the FBI; however, his most significant feat is how he molded the FBI into an effective organization that during Hoover s lifetime operated without the supervision of the branches of government. Hoover was born and raised in Washington D.C and had a relatively normal childhood. Hoover was born on January 1, 1895, and raised by Dickerson Hoover and Annie Hoover (Biography). Being raised in Washington D.C played a significant role in Hoover s life as his parents worked for the government and were exposed to politics at a young age. Being raised close to the nation s capital influenced Hoover to major in law as he saw the opportunities that were available for elected officials. It is possible that if Hoover did not major in law, he would not have pursued politics thus, never becoming the first director of the FBI. Hoover eventually joined the training corps program and continued to refute social norms. More specifically, Hoover joined the Reserve Officers Training Corps and was vocal in supporting women s rights (Biography). This is important as joining the Officers Training Corps allowed him to develop leadership abilities that he would eventually apply when leading the FBI. Hoover´s willingness to change a precedent will be vital to forming the FBI as Hoover applied new methods on a large scale which made people question his reliability as the first director. Hoover chose to study law in order to be able to enter politics. More specifically, In 1916, he gained his Bachelor degree in Law...Following year, he attained a Master s degree in Law from the University. It is a semi documentary based on the filmmaker, Marlon Rigg s, life. Tongues Untied only runs about an hour long, and completely devoid of plot, but still has a very powerful message. Much of Tongues Untied s message comes from the cinematography, close up on lips as a black pastor preaches about the sin of homosexuality , shots look like double vision or cross eyed while the narrator discusses being a double minority. In her book, karma is defined as both action and fruits of action (page 82). Karma is what Buddhist believes your life is shaped by whether it be good or bad Karma. Especially when it comes to reincarnation, since, with good karma you are believed to be reincarnated into better levels of life forms. For example an animal could become a human man. I believe that because humans tend to make inherently bad choices, it is impossible for an average human being who is not able to just dedicate all thoughts and time to the Buddhist practice to achieve enough good karmic seeds to accomplish nirvana. Especially, since it is said that you will have no recollection of your past life, making it difficult to correct your past wrongs, or know where your karmic standing lies besides saying an animal is a lower karmic standing than a man. • 21. Are Data Algorithms And Algorithms Can Be Been Solving... Traditional statisticians have been solving data problems for years. Example, when faced with the large data problem statisticians had a simple and proven technique to solve the problem by sampling the records. This is a sound methodology as the statisticians could prove statistically that a representative or random sample could speak for the whole population. The only problem was that when stakeholders wanted to drill down into the details they inevitably had to query the whole file. The reality is that data scientists run various data mining techniques and various algorithms that can accommodate both large and small files. However, companies may want to consider examining and cleansing the data they collect before running their analyses. This brings up the question of whether or not big data methods and algorithms can be considered reliable. Data quality is still a challenge even in the world of big data. The reality is that he world of big data is somewhat messy. Given data is collected so fast and is usually unprocessed (raw) it may be incomplete versus most traditional transactional data. Data may be missing many values or may contain incomplete records. Customer profiles may even be incomplete. Many companies embark upon a formal data cleansing strategy before or after placing data into their big data environment. This in itself is something that scientists and philosophers have struggled with for ages. For the purposes of this paper, the definition proposed by [Searle, 1998] will be used: Consciousness consists of inner, qualitative, subjective states and processes of sentience or awareness. Consciousness, so defined, begins when we wake in the morning from a dreamless sleep and continues until we fall asleep again, die, go into a coma or otherwise become unconscious. The difficulty with this definition with regards to the Turing computability of consciousness is that it defines the existence of a subjective state as a prerequisite for consciousness. According to Searle s Chinese room argument [Searle, 1980], the fact that a system produces the same output as a conscious mind would in response to the same input does not prove the presence of subjective consciousness. However, this same argument can be used in favour of solipsist views; it cannot be proven that anyone in this world is truly conscious merely by virtue of acting in ways that suggest consciousness. It is therefore a moot point. As [Turing, 1950] put it: [I]nstead of arguing continually over this point, it is usual to have a polite convention that everyone thinks. If the ... The Problem of Acid Rain Essay The Problem of Acid Rain WHAT CAUSES ACID RAIN When power stations, factories, houses and cars release pollution into the air it has chemicals in it called sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. SULPHUR DIOXIDE: Man made sulphur dioxide comes mainly from burning fossils fuels in power stations. It then mixes with water in the atmosphere to make sulphuric acid, which will later fall as acid rain. NITROGEN OXIDES: Nitrogen oxides are also man made and mainly come from car exhausts. A lake that has been affected by acid rain looks clean and crystal clear, but contains no life. Most wild plants and animals that live in clean, unpolluted lakes cannot live in acid waters. Fish are poisoned by the aluminium which is washed out of the ground into the lakes. Lakes also receive rainfall directly from the sky. A healthy lake has a pH of around 6.5 and a large number of plants, insects and fish can live there. In addition, there are a number of animals and birds that feed on the plentiful food in a healthy lake. As the lake becomes more acidic (the pH gets smaller) the fish find it more difficult to reproduce successfully, as the young fish find it difficult to live in the high levels of acidity and die. During the time around 1850, tensions were rising on the issue of slavery between the North and the South. New states were being admitted to the United States, but the decisions to make them a free state or a slave state were what really mattered. As an example, California was admitted to the Union as a free state, and this angered the south very much because slavery was a very important factor to the South s economy. The Compromise of 1850 was developed to help soothe the tensions on each side. This Compromise had several provisions: California was admitted to the Union as a free state; the territories of New Mexico and Utah were created without restrictions of slavery; the slave trade was abolished in Washington, D.C.; Congress passed a stricter fugitive slave law. This compromise showed just how important slavery was to each side, and it gives us a good idea of why it could be important as one of their goals during the Civil War. With slavery in mind, it brought about ideas of succession to the South. Because the South was scared of Lincoln abolishing slavery, they thought it would be a wise decision to secede from the Union. In fact, Lincoln had no plans of abolishing slavery, but stated that it should not spread to the territories. The South basically misunderstood and decided to secede anyway. Compare And Contrast Essay Lebroon James Vs Stephen Curry LeBron James plays the small forward position and stands at 6 foot 8 and weighs 250 lbs, and Stephen Curry plays the point guard position and stands at 6 foot 3 and weighs 190 lbs. • 43. Human Nature In Tell-Tale Heart By Edgar Allan Poe Wallace Stevens, a poet, once said Human nature is like water. It takes the shape of its container. Even though everyone has the same aspects of human nature, they are established in different individuals or containers , who have distinct combinations of background and experiences. Every individual has the same psychological traits, actions, and characteristics, but they are displayed in a different manner. Through the common social and emotional qualities of a fictional character and the reader, an author can express aspects of human nature that reality alters and distorts. In this fictional world, the aspects of human nature are amplified from the improbable situation which makes truths about human nature clear for the reader to understand. Furthermore, from the short story The Possibility of Evil by Shirley Jackson, the protagonist Miss Adela Strangeworth is depicted as a two faced woman who seems to have good relationships with her neighbor in person, but internally, she believes that people everywhere were lustful and evil and degraded, and needed to be watched (Jackson 6), so she secretly writes rude, subjective letters to her neighbors criticizing their actions. By using the fear of what happens when people go against Big Brother and the government, they can make people believe two plus two equals five (80). Everyone knows two plus two equals four, it s one of the most basic facts and can be proven on our fingers.
