Conflict Transformation
Negotiation and conflict transformation is difficult when there is a significant power difference
between the two parties involved. Since power is one of the biggest factors that contribute to
negotiation, it greatly influences the trajectory of the conversation. This particular case will look at the
objectives, methods, and processes used to achieve a successful, creative transformational negotiation.
I will first provide a description, then analyze the actions, and look at alternatives that could have been
employed.
The eldest daughter in a family of five is accepted to two out of state private colleges and waitlisted at
other Ivy league institutions. The family is low income, therefore paying for college has never been on
the table and the mother had information that all Ivy League colleges provided full scholarships. Both
private colleges are providing substantial aid, but will require the family to pay some of the tuition.
The matriarch decides it would be much easier and cheaper for the daughter to attend community
college. The daughter, on the other hand, wants to attend a private university. This creates tension
between mother and daughter since the daughter wants to go away to college for ... Show more

This is why networks are important: I maintained my network of powerful individuals in the family
and strategically used them when I needed the extra weight. With my grandfather and uncle
supporting me, I knew I had more power. I had also been negotiating with my mother since I was 10
years old. I knew her tricks and I also knew her weaknesses. The extra information helped me
manipulate facts in a way she would react positively to. The deal was successful in that it was a win
for both parties, but it was more of a win for me because it bought me time to accrue more resources
at Boston College. Once I was here I could build more power, decide to revisit the negotiation, and not

Taking a Look at Vatican II
Ecumenical councils are a practice that age back to the reign of Roman Emperor Constantine. An
ecumenical council is a conference of Christian bishops in order to resolve current issues affecting the
entire church . The councils would publish texts and legislation that would become crucial to the
development and operation of Christianity. The Second Vatican Council, or Vatican II, was the most
recent ecumenical council. Vatican II is considered to be one of the major events of the twentieth
century and impacted not only the church but also the modern world.
Vatican II came to be through Pope John XXIII. Pope John expressed his intentions of calling an
ecumenical council just three months after his election. This came as a shock to many because Pope
John was almost eighty years old at the time and was known by many to be an uncontroversial man.
His reasoning behind calling the council was pastoral in nature. This meant that Pope John wanted the
council to focus on the lives of believers and their experience of living the faith in the world as it is
today . Pope John wanted Vatican II to be a dialogue with those outside the church in order for the
church to become more positive and relaxed in modern times.
Vatican II made five notable contributions to the reform of the church. Those contributions were the
reform of the liturgy, the self understanding of the church as the people of God , relations with other
Christian churches and with non Christian religions, the churches

This article refers to the application of self surveillance and social surveillance throughout the paper
with a purpose to prove that various types of social networking sites user types inflict array of effects
on the marketing performance aspect. Park, Shin and Ju thoroughly explain the different types of SNS
user types such as the versatile users, the self expression users, the pass along users and the introvert
users. The authors then connect the various forms of SNS user types to the SNS marketing
performance touching on the aspects of social presence, information sharing, purchase intention and
emotional experience of social shopping. Combining the information discussed throughout the article,
Park, Shin and Ju introduce their methodology of the conceptual research model. The study
categorizes SNS user types into four sectors to prove that each sector inflicts a different impact on the
SNS marketing performance. The results conclude that various types of social surveillance and self
surveillance can in fact create four types of users, which go into great detail of explaining each social
user out of the four categories: the versatile, the pass along, the self expression and the introvert. The
study also proved that the four types of social networking sites users differently impact the four types

Wayne Williams Case Study
In a 22 month span, starting in July 1979, 30 African American children and young men were
murdered or disappeared in Atlanta, Georgia (Nickell 1 of 2). Due to the various motives that each
murder presented, it was believed that multiple individuals were responsible for these crimes.
However only 1 person was ultimately charged with these homicides. The person that was found
responsible for 2 of the many murders is Wayne Williams. He was suspected and subsequently
arrested after police heard a splash in the water under a bridge on May 22, 1981, and Williams was the
only one on the bridge during the time frame of the body drop (Plummer 1 of 3). This case was
splashed all over headlines both nationally and internationally (Nickell 1 of 2). Due ... Show more

The largest piece of evidence against Williams was numerous similar fibers connected to the victims
and Williams s environment (Deadman 2 of 14). The various fiber evidence in this case was deemed
essential and the strongest scientific link in this case (Nickell 2 of 2). There were over 28 fiber types
involved in this case that linked to Williams, and of these 28, 14 were from a rug or carpet (Deadman
13 of 14). These fibers were associated with a bedroom carpet in Wayne Williams home, his
bedspread, a yellow blanket found under that bed, a leather jacket hanging in Wayne s closet, a gray
glove in his station wagon... (Plummer 2 of 3). Dog hairs, which were traced to Williams s German
Shepard Sheba, were also found; as well as scalp hairs that linked Williams to one of the victims,
Patrick Baltazar. The scalp hairs were 98% similar to Wayne Williams, and the DNA sequence of the
dog hairs could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs. The combination of the hair, and fibers at the same
location strengthened the case against Williams. A multitude of yellow green nylon fibers and some
violet acetate fibers were located on the bodies and clothing of the victims (Deadman 2 of 14). Fibers

Assess the Usefulness of Functionalist Approaches in...
Functionalists look at society as a whole. They explain crime and deviance by stating that the source
of deviance lies in the nature of society rather than the individual. Durkheim states that crime and
deviance is inevitable and a certain level is necessary for society to exist. He also claims that it is a
positive aspect of society as it shows examples of rights and wrongs within society and by punishing
offenders, through ways such as public humiliation and portraying crime as wrong, raises awareness
of crime and therefore deters others from committing crime along with creating a collective
conscience. He also argues that crime and deviance allows social change to occur which is needed in
order for society to remain stable. Durkheim s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He believes that the formation of the subcultures release the status frustration by creating their own
values for achieving status and therefore deviant behaviour becomes normal and valued within the
group. This is useful when looking at explanations of crime as it highlights that crime and deviance is
a collective rational response to the norms and values of society. However, Cohen fails to consider
why women in society commit crimes and form subcultures. He has also been criticised as we cannot
be sure that the working class know the middle class values enough in order to purposely reject them.
Furthermore, Cloward and Ohlin combine Merton and Cohen s theories by stating that there is a
legitimate opportunity such as passing exams and getting a job, and an illegitimate opportunity, such
as gangs. They believe that the working class have easier access to the illegitimate structure meaning
that it is easier for them to commit more crimes and so face more pressure to do so. Cloward and
Ohlin claim that there are 3 types of subcultures: criminal subculture in which people climb the
professional criminal hierarchy, conflict subculture in which there is little/no social cohesion and
retreatest subcultures in which people fail in both the legitimate and illegitimate opportunity and
retreat to things such as alcohol and drugs. This is useful when looking at explanations of crime as it
highlights the

their finances. The first time we see Shiloh is when our main character, Marty, is walking on the main

But it is super shy so when he stops it stops, when he walks it follows him and stays at a distance.

Blastocystis Hominis Infection
Blastocystis hominis (B hominis) is a common parasitic organism found throughout the world. An
infection with B hominis is called blastocystosis. The parasite lives in your large intestine and can be
found in stool. It can remain in the body for weeks, months, or years. It is not known whether the
parasite B hominis causes any symptoms in humans or if the associated symptoms may be caused by
infection with other parasitic organisms, bacteria, or viruses. Often, B hominis is found along with
other organisms that are more likely to be the cause of your symptoms.
CAUSES
It is not known how the B hominis infection spreads. The number of people infected seems to increase
in areas where sanitation and personal cleanliness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nausea.
Abdominal pain, cramping, or bloating.
Extreme tiredness (fatigue).
Anal itching.
Weight loss.
Excess gas.
DIAGNOSIS
Your health care provider will perform a physical exam and take your medical history and travel
history. If blastocystosis is suspected, you will have stool tests to check for B hominis. Your health
care provider may do additional testing to search for other possible causes of your symptoms.
TREATMENT
Blastocystosis may not require any treatment if you do not have any symptoms. If symptoms are
present, they may get better on their own over time. If symptoms are severe or do not get better over
time, medicines may be prescribed and more testing may be needed.
HOME CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Take medicines only as directed by your health care provider.
If you were prescribed an antibiotic medicine, finish it all even if you start to feel better.
Practice good personal cleanliness, including thorough hand washing with soap and warm water.
Drink enough fluid to keep your urine clear or pale yellow. This is especially important if you have
diarrhea.

Morrison s Identity In William Morrison, Pecola, By Toni...
1. At the beginning of the novel, When the words are connected it shows perplexity and worry which
is really what happens to the Breedlove s. I think Morrison shows in her writing that also happens to
Pecola as she struggles for acceptance and Identity. Contrast is also one of the things Morrison s
powerful English show throughout the text. There is definitely a confusion between the community
because it loves and hates at the same time. Also, it is illustrated in the book that black families are the
only ones with the struggles and problems when compared with the white family.
2. Claudia s understanding of how the world could be dark was very little, due to the fact that she was
too young. So, her point of view is very insightful. Throughout the Novel Pecola is maltreated no
matter the circumstances, especially when she needed attention and support. Morrison shows in many
ways that Pocola s Environment is hostile to her. To begin with her parents negatively perceived
themselves, and it had a huge effect on Pecola and why she perceived herself as being ugly. Also in
the School, she was treated badly by the kids around her. Her parents did not love their identity and
took this out on their daughter. In addition to the hatred that she received from her parents, she also
received cruel treatment from schoolboys of the same race, not to mention she was raped by her own
father. So, I think it was important to have Claudia as the narrator, because she grasped on the fact that

Lowe s Pricing Strategy
First, the company offers mail in rebates to encourage customers to buy a particular product in a lower
price. However, Lowe s could still make higher profits because not all customers who made the
purchase submit a rebate. Customers might value their time more and just accept the out the door

couple of advantages than can be gained by collecting customer data. By looking at purchase history,
Lowe s can tailor their promotions according to customer demand. Moreover, by having customer s
contact information, Lowe s can send out more promotion offers through emails or mailing catalogs to
houses. One of the most beneficial way of promoting is through email marketing. Customers can be
informed about exclusive deals that last for only a time period, discounts, and coupons.

A Brief Note On The Pollution Control Programme
1.1.1 Extra fuel consumption
Due to traffic jam, extra fuel consumption is a big problem for a developing country like India. The
government is buying this extra amount of fuel with hard cash. This is considered a national loss.
1.1.2 Vehicle operating cost
Vehicle operating cost is directly proportionate to the traffic jam. A vehicle operator applies more
breaks and accelerates again and again. So, the lifetime of vehicle parts and fuel consumption will be
more in road jams. Traffic jam actually increases VOC. Figure 8: Mapping of congestion cost

Using Elliptic Curve Cryptography ( Huang, 2015 )
With many companies allowing/requiring their employees to work and connect remotely,
authentication plays a key role in the security of a corporation. With sensitive data being available
outside of a localized network, it is important to verify the identity of connecting employees in a
secure and encrypted way to prevent interception by attackers that would hope to gain by a lapse in
security. There are different methods for which this authentication can be achieved. Some are more
secure than others but all should involve the transfer of the sensitive login data being encrypted. This
paper will discuss some of the differing methods that may be used in a remote login authentication
system. A brief history of remote authentication is provided in a paper entitled, An Efficient Remote
User Authentication with Key Agreement Scheme Using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (Huang, 2015).
The history is described as beginning in 1981 which introduced a password based scheme in regards
to remote authentication. This was further improved upon by the introduction of the hash function for
passwords as opposed to openly sending the password over the network. In 2003, a protocol was
introduced which involved a password including an authentication phase and a password change
phase. In recent years, there have been many propositions for 2 factor and even 3 factor password
schemes. Two factor schemes offer greater protection by offering more than just a password for
authentication. The

Ethical Issues of Running with scissors
This movie is told from Augusten Burroughs point of view of his childhood. He was very close to his
mother; he skipped school to stay with her. To him he seemed to have an ordinary life. His house was
very clean and he would polish things because he liked it so clean. His mother Deidre Burroughs, who
has gone insane after her divorce from his father, gives him up for adoption to her psychiatrist, Dr.
Finch. She comes to their house quite often throughout the movie and asks why he spends so much
time with them.
Dr. Finch has two daughters and an adopted son some of who were at one time his patients. At the age

he was doing was wrong. He wanted to be treated like a child with a mother and father and instead of

Dr. Finch tricked Deidre into signing over power of attorney to his self so he could steal her money it

Theme Of The Bible
What would you say is the main theme of the Bible?
Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the King of the Jews, has been revealed to us in the Old Testament.
Scripture revealed to the people how and when the Messiah would come and what would happen
during His time on Earth. Isaiah 53 speaks of the pain and suffering that Jesus would endure for His
people yet He would not defend himself. After he had suffered He would see the Light of Life and be
satisfied. God s righteous servant would justify and bear the sins of many and would make
intersession for the transgressors. (NIV) Zechariah 9 declares the He is righteous, victorious, just and
a lowly King riding on a donkey. His rule shall be to the ends of the earth, proclaiming peace to the
nations. (NIV) The New Testament conveys His birth, ministry, death, resurrection and second
coming. I am in complete agreement with Bickle and Jantz, (1998, p. 61) statement that God sent
Jesus so that creation may know the Creator furthermore, that Jesus Christ is the theme of the Bible. ...

Fahrenheit 451 And Tobias Wolfr Swot Analysis
Many people have important jobs because they are trustworthy, they have great ideas, and they know
how to take control of different situations. On the other hand, some people in charge are not worthy of
their spot and do not always do or say what is right. In In Pharaoh s Army, Tobias Wolff shows that the
authorities are not always in the right place to make a decision. In Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury has a
different way of showing that the authorities aren t always right. In Fahrenheit 451, the authorities
often lie to make their new reality easier for the community or people to cope with the situation.
Tobias Wolff and Ray Bradbury both have a very different way of portraying thoughts, but they both
give the same message when the authorities are not always right. Pete Landon is a Foreign Service
Officer and he does not always do what is right, especially to the people around him. Pete started off
pretty tough in Vietnam, starting out as a translator. He has progressed through the years and moved
up ranks. He enjoys his life in Vietnam and actually is in favor of the war. Pete has one of the nicest
houses in Vietnam for an American. He often has no work anymore and just travels around visiting
people. He also always has very fancy and elegant dinners consisting of Filet mignon and wine.
Everyone loves Pete and they almost think of him as a celebrity. If Pete likes you, you re cool. When
Tobias and Pete were hanging out, Pete said Tobias did not have a real job in the war.

The Age Of Franco Research Paper
The Age of Francisco
Francisco Franco was a ruthless dictator of Spain from 1939 to 1975. He started as a talented military
general, who rose up to power and lead the Nationalist rebels to victory in the Spanish Civil War.
During his time as dictator, he ruled with confidence and control, and sided with the Axis Powers
during World War Two, but then quickly gained a good reputation with the United Nations after the
war was over. As one of the many dictators of the World War Two era, Franco is an important figure in
history.
Biography
Francisco Franco was born in El Ferrol, Spain on December 4,1892 into a military family. Following
in his father s footsteps, Franco joined the military and graduated from Toledo Military Academy. In
1913, he got his first assignment and was posted to Morocco. There, Franco proved to be a courageous

Franco s main goal was to restore Spain to its former glory. Just five months after the Spanish civil
war ended, World War Two started. Spain remained neutral in the war because of their intense debt,
however they sided with the Axis Powers. Francisco Franco did meet with Adolf Hitler in the middle
of the war saying Spain would join the war on the side of the Axis powers if Germany agreed to some
of Franco s terms. Hitler denied this request and Spain stayed out of the war. Franco tried to become
completely neutral in the war in 1943 but it was too late, Spain was invested too deeply with the Axis
Powers and gained enemies. The west already viewed Franco as a fascist and did not support him.
Franco tried to change this by changing the name of The State Party to the State Movement to appear
as though he was not fascist. With this change and his anti communist views, Spain gained political
popularity with the United States and was asked to join the United Nations in

People! Hey, people! People! Listen up, because this will blow your freakin minds. Modern fantasy

containing my amazement at this epic discovery I just made today. I m probably like the first person

without the influence of classic tabletop roleplaying games like the Dungeons Dragons and World of

White Wolf Publishing s Vampire: The Masquerade and Ancient Blood are both the source inspiration
for the plethora of vampire fiction that spawned after the publication of Stephenie Meyer. s Twilight
saga. Indeed, Twilight itself owes a tremendous amount to the world of V:TM. White Wolf s created
world casts players as vampires living, working, and hunting as part of a secret and ancient vampire
culture that exists in the shadows of the human world. This theme is prevalent in every vampire
fantasy fiction from The Vampire Diaries to my personal favorite Buffy The Vampire Slayer. V:TM s
creator Mark Rein Hagen states that he did not read Anne Rice s The Vampire Chronicles novels while
working on the game, but admits it may have certain shared elements with the world of LeStat and his
vampire cronies. Even the plot and structure of Meyer s Twilight universe show heavy influences of
both Rice and and Rein Hagen, though it is unknown if Meyer was familiar with either work. The
fantasy of being a being apart, yet part of a greater and secretive whole was what makes V:TM and
fiction similar to it such an engaging role playing game. Authors of modern vampire fiction all seem
to be creating worlds and characters that mimic role playing settings and characters in their behavior
and design. It is as if they are trying to offer readers what they have experienced themselves from
roleplaying games. While neither Joss Whedon nor

Voluptuous Sexuality
Although in modern times people are exposed to sexuality from a young age through advertisements,
media, and pop culture, during the Victorian era in England, the only acceptable exploration of
repressed sexual desire was through a book that upholds the Christian belief of sexuality s corruptive
effects on society. In Bram Stoker s Dracula, a gothic, horror novel, Dracula, a vampire from

repulsed by and attracted to the vampires, Jonathan experiences sexual desires, and while recounting it
in his journal, he focuses on sensory images, the mouth, skin, and throat, describing the experience as
ecstasy and mirroring the images of sex scenes. The women tempt Jonathan with their sexualized
appearance, but giving into their enchantment would lead to the ultimate punishment for sin, being
brutally attacked and turned into a vampire. Moreover, the pauses and waiting periods that Jonathan
experiences expose the sexual tension prolonging the temptation and sin. Voyeurism further
compounds the sinfulness of Jonathan s interactions with the female vampires. Multiple women who

Christianity, Judaism, And Christianity
In my opinion if you would have asked me this one year ago if there was afterlife, I would of told you
no. Once upon a time I believe when you die you stay in the ground and your soul would stay there as

want to. In this essay I have picked three religion Islam, Judaism, and Christianity to explain what
each of them have and to be able to show the similarity and difference among them about the afterlife.
Although each religion has its own goal, they however are similar in belief. I have found that these

No one know really know how the Heaven looks like only to be known as a wonderful and beautiful
place. There is also a place that most Christian Catholic believe if you aren t meant to be sent to Hell
or Heaven, there is a third place to be sent to call Purgatory. Purgatory is where most Christians stay
until called for to see if they deserve to be in the heaven. The Protestants do not believe in purgatory.
Now all we have to worry about is when we die, let hope we have no sin and that for our past sins
where wash away and those who did not serve God and have god in their life, will be judged by their
deeds. As for Judaism, there is no forever between good souls and evil souls which in other religion
such as Christianity and Islam. Judaism believe that the devil can be in heaven. As for Judaism they
believe that death is not the end of human life. However, they are more focus on life now then think
about the afterlife. They can believe whatever they want to believe but the souls of the good people
who have die will go to similar heaven or to some they will be that reincarnated, or some will wait
until the coming of the messiah , where they will be able to relive. Unlike other Judaism Jews they
believe that the evil souls will be torture by demons of their own thoughts, or that evil souls will die
and not to live ever again.

Democratization Of Democracy And Autocracy In The United...
The government of the independent states of the world is usually either autocracy or democracy.
Autocracy refers to a system where one person has absolute power over a nation. Democracy is a
system of government by the whole population or all eligible members of a state, typically through
elected representatives. The first wave of democratization started in the early 19th century and
persisted until the 1920 s after which many democracies reverted to autocracy. Many democracies
failed, creating the first reverse wave. After World War II had ended, the second wave of
democratization came along. It was relatively brief with the bulk of countries deferring to autocracy
by the 1950 s. The mid 1970 s brought the third wave of democratization which continued in ... Show

During this time, the world saw as many as 33 democracies worldwide ( Stanford University News

11. A notable improvement to democracy in the United States during this wave is that on August 26,
1920, women were granted the right to vote (Golbin Goodman, 2016, p. 1). The second wave of
democratization began following World War II. With the allied victory over Nazi Germany, the world
acknowledged up to 52 democracies between 1943 and 1962. Democracy was imposed on the losing
countries and suffrage was expanded to include all males. Countries such as Germany and Italy
reestablished democracies, and a large number of European third world countries achieved their
independence (Shively, 2014, p. 153). While many democracies survived, many also fell to military
coups. Transitions between autocracy and democracy between 1950 and 1990 occurred mostly in
Latin America. The United States at this time was as always improving democracy. Many notable
things happened during this time to include the 1954 decision by the United States Supreme Court to

Human Selection Vs Natural Selection
. The first force of evolution is mutation. It can be random or influenced and occurs during mitosis or
meiosis. It happens when there is a change in a persons genetic code; most mutations are harmless.
The second force is natural selection. Natural selection is the survival of a species with the help of
their biological characteristics. Fitness, a type of natural selection, is a species ability to survive and
produce offspring. The third force is genetic drift. This is a random change in a species allele
frequency. This can happen during a catastrophic event (bottleneck effect) or during a species
colonization in a new region (founder effect). The fourth and final force is gene flow. Gene flow is the

The Is Not Real And The World
In an ideal world, people would get along and live in peace. Unfortunately, this idea is not real and the
world is full of different forms of hate and discrimination. People are discriminated against based on
various things like race, religion, and sex. The Transgender community faces one of the highest
amounts of discrimination. This includes things like using a public restroom, going to a doctor s
office, insurance coverage, workplace, and traveling. First, utilizing public restrooms are a major
problem for transitioning individuals. In many states, like Kentucky, there have been numerous
attempts to pass laws that would force these individuals to use the bathroom that reflects the gender on
their birth certificate, which usually states the gender assigned at birth. This is a form of
discrimination due to the fact it would single out Trans individuals making them targets. It can be
assumed no one is going to bother a cisgender individual only those, they suspect of being
transgendered. For example, a transwoman who is just a few months into her hormones and has not
received Sexual Reassignment Surgery going into the women s restroom in a Walmart is stopped by
security and asked to prove her identity using her Identification that still says male. She will then be
charged for using the wrong restroom and forced to go to the boys bathroom where she has an
increased chance of being involved in a hate crime or sexual assault. This action is like painting a sign

trained in all positions. We need to cross train a little at a time as there is no need to cross train all our
employees at the same time. I suggest creating a formal job rotation program. We could reduce the
workload during the training process since it will take the new person longer to perform the task until
their individual proficiency is reached. This reduced workload will help employees feel less resentful
that they are being required to do more work. Lastly, we must remember that employees don t retain
the cross training skills forever and must be re trained periodically. The following questions need to be
addressed: How will we communicate the strategy to employees; especially those employees who for
various reasons may not be the best fit for cross training? What are the positions within the
organization should be targeted for a cross training initiative? Which employees are ready to be cross
trained and how will we determine who will be cross trained? In order to answer these questions, we
must examine the following.Communication. We need to introduce to the employees the benefits of
cross training. Explain to them that will be learning new skills that can help them grow. We must be
sure to explain that the reason for cross training is not to eliminate positions, but to increase their
overall development

Philosophical Travel Journal
I am writing this journal with the goal of recounting my travels to different philosophical societies.
Remarkably, each one of the three societies I was privileged enough to travel to r igidly followed a
renowned philosophy. These were the philosophies of Plato, Soren Kierkegaard, and Friedrich
Nietzsche.
The Republic
The first society I visited was that of Plato
s philosophy. The residents were very kind and sought out true meanings of different vi rtues solely by
dialectic. They structured their city much the same way that
Plato structured the renowned
Republic
. Plato said that a just city would involve each man doing his own work, or specializing in a certain
task. The cobbler would be a cobbler, the builder would be a builder, the farmer a farmer, and so on an
d so forth. Each of these focused on his work and in such a way maximized outpu t, as is logical. The
army protecting that city stood as a c ourageous wall around it, ready to defend it whenever necessary.
The soldiers
training was intense, focusing not only on physical exercise but also on the arts. By being brought up
with training both in the arts and in physical exercise,
Plato believed t hese soldiers would be both courageous and wise. Indeed, they were. The city was
very confident in its guardians, knowing full well that should war be declared, it would be re solved
by reason or, if all else failed, a

Old school rapper KRS One focuses more on the political issues of racism and discrimination towards
African Americans. The two artists are very powerful with their messages, they make sure that people
get the message loud and clear. Words I Never Said by Lupe Fiasco and Sound Of Da Police by KRS
One both highlight political injustice and social inequality. However, KRS One s Sound Of Da Police

Lupe Fiasco and KRS One both try to illustrate these issues within their lyrics and songs. The songs
were such powerful songs that so many different people could easily relate to. What the big picture is
that everyone needs to wake up and realize what the big picture is and what really is going on. People
need to unite as one and fight to stop the violence, injustice and inequality that is going on because if

Since power is one of the biggest factors that contribute to negotiation, it greatly influences the trajectory of the conversation. This particular case will look at the objectives, methods, and processes used to achieve a successful, creative transformational negotiation. I will first provide a description, then analyze the actions, and look at alternatives that could have been employed. The eldest daughter in a family of five is accepted to two out of state private colleges and waitlisted at other Ivy league institutions. The family is low income, therefore paying for college has never been on the table and the mother had information that all Ivy League colleges provided full scholarships. Both private colleges are providing substantial aid, but will require the family to pay some of the tuition. • 4. Taking a Look at Vatican II Ecumenical councils are a practice that age back to the reign of Roman Emperor Constantine. An ecumenical council is a conference of Christian bishops in order to resolve current issues affecting the entire church . The councils would publish texts and legislation that would become crucial to the development and operation of Christianity. The Second Vatican Council, or Vatican II, was the most recent ecumenical council. Vatican II is considered to be one of the major events of the twentieth century and impacted not only the church but also the modern world. Vatican II came to be through Pope John XXIII. Pope John expressed his intentions of calling an ecumenical council just three months after his election. This came as a shock to many because Pope John was almost eighty years old at the time and was known by many to be an uncontroversial man. His reasoning behind calling the council was pastoral in nature. This meant that Pope John wanted the council to focus on the lives of believers and their experience of living the faith in the world as it is today . Pope John wanted Vatican II to be a dialogue with those outside the church in order for the church to become more positive and relaxed in modern times. Vatican II made five notable contributions to the reform of the church. Those contributions were the reform of the liturgy, the self understanding of the church as the people of God , relations with other Christian churches and with non Christian religions, the churches ... • 7. Assess the Usefulness of Functionalist Approaches in... Functionalists look at society as a whole. They explain crime and deviance by stating that the source of deviance lies in the nature of society rather than the individual. Durkheim states that crime and deviance is inevitable and a certain level is necessary for society to exist. He also claims that it is a positive aspect of society as it shows examples of rights and wrongs within society and by punishing offenders, through ways such as public humiliation and portraying crime as wrong, raises awareness of crime and therefore deters others from committing crime along with creating a collective conscience. He also argues that crime and deviance allows social change to occur which is needed in order for society to remain stable. Durkheim s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He believes that the formation of the subcultures release the status frustration by creating their own values for achieving status and therefore deviant behaviour becomes normal and valued within the group. This is useful when looking at explanations of crime as it highlights that crime and deviance is a collective rational response to the norms and values of society. However, Cohen fails to consider why women in society commit crimes and form subcultures. He has also been criticised as we cannot be sure that the working class know the middle class values enough in order to purposely reject them. Furthermore, Cloward and Ohlin combine Merton and Cohen s theories by stating that there is a legitimate opportunity such as passing exams and getting a job, and an illegitimate opportunity, such as gangs. They believe that the working class have easier access to the illegitimate structure meaning that it is easier for them to commit more crimes and so face more pressure to do so. Cloward and Ohlin claim that there are 3 types of subcultures: criminal subculture in which people climb the professional criminal hierarchy, conflict subculture in which there is little/no social cohesion and retreatest subcultures in which people fail in both the legitimate and illegitimate opportunity and retreat to things such as alcohol and drugs. • 12. Morrison s Identity In William Morrison, Pecola, By Toni... 1. At the beginning of the novel, When the words are connected it shows perplexity and worry which is really what happens to the Breedlove s. I think Morrison shows in her writing that also happens to Pecola as she struggles for acceptance and Identity. Contrast is also one of the things Morrison s powerful English show throughout the text. There is definitely a confusion between the community because it loves and hates at the same time. Also, it is illustrated in the book that black families are the only ones with the struggles and problems when compared with the white family. 2. Claudia s understanding of how the world could be dark was very little, due to the fact that she was too young. So, her point of view is very insightful. Throughout the Novel Pecola is maltreated no matter the circumstances, especially when she needed attention and support. Morrison shows in many ways that Pocola s Environment is hostile to her. To begin with her parents negatively perceived themselves, and it had a huge effect on Pecola and why she perceived herself as being ugly. Also in the School, she was treated badly by the kids around her. Her parents did not love their identity and took this out on their daughter. In addition to the hatred that she received from her parents, she also received cruel treatment from schoolboys of the same race, not to mention she was raped by her own father. With sensitive data being available outside of a localized network, it is important to verify the identity of connecting employees in a secure and encrypted way to prevent interception by attackers that would hope to gain by a lapse in security. There are different methods for which this authentication can be achieved. Some are more secure than others but all should involve the transfer of the sensitive login data being encrypted. This paper will discuss some of the differing methods that may be used in a remote login authentication system. A brief history of remote authentication is provided in a paper entitled, An Efficient Remote User Authentication with Key Agreement Scheme Using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (Huang, 2015). The history is described as beginning in 1981 which introduced a password based scheme in regards to remote authentication. This was further improved upon by the introduction of the hash function for passwords as opposed to openly sending the password over the network. In 2003, a protocol was introduced which involved a password including an authentication phase and a password change phase. Age discrimination is something not many look at because some assume it is not a big deal, it may seem as age equality has been both accepted by the community that it is known universally because it is in our modern day culture, but as well as facing critical issues such as elderly abuse or aged care. I will be looking into section 15(1) of the Charter, under the equality rights it is known as, Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability. Invasive Species Extinction Humans have caused another extinction, one that could possibly take us down in the process, species are exponentially going extinct because of habitat loss, species exportation, and invasive species bullying native species. On the other hand, scientists are trying to safe guard native species, keep animals in captivity whether it be for the animals well being or for research, and widespread invasion. In this essay I will be comparing and contrasting What Everglades Pythons and Other Invasive Species are Trying to Tell Us, by Julia Whitty and The Sixth Extinction, by Jeff Corwin. Habit loss has been one of the most prominent issues regarding the animal kingdom, and now it seems like the human race is trying to rid our earth of the decreasing amount of flora in certain areas. However, recipes in Francisco s are not always followed. To illustrate, they don t measure the condiments while making the food. • 38. Democratization Of Democracy And Autocracy In The United... The government of the independent states of the world is usually either autocracy or democracy. Autocracy refers to a system where one person has absolute power over a nation. Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. The first wave of democratization started in the early 19th century and persisted until the 1920 s after which many democracies reverted to autocracy. Many democracies failed, creating the first reverse wave. After World War II had ended, the second wave of democratization came along. It was relatively brief with the bulk of countries deferring to autocracy by the 1950 s. The mid 1970 s brought the third wave of democratization which continued in ... By 1942, as World War II was underway, the number of democracies dropped to 11. A notable improvement to democracy in the United States during this wave is that on August 26, 1920, women were granted the right to vote (Golbin Goodman, 2016, p. 1). The second wave of democratization began following World War II. With the allied victory over Nazi Germany, the world acknowledged up to 52 democracies between 1943 and 1962. Democracy was imposed on the losing countries and suffrage was expanded to include all males. Countries such as Germany and Italy reestablished democracies, and a large number of European third world countries achieved their independence (Shively, 2014, p. 153). While many democracies survived, many also fell to military coups. Transitions between autocracy and democracy between 1950 and 1990 occurred mostly in Latin America. It happens when there is a change in a persons genetic code; most mutations are harmless. The second force is natural selection. • 40. The Is Not Real And The World In an ideal world, people would get along and live in peace. Unfortunately, this idea is not real and the world is full of different forms of hate and discrimination. People are discriminated against based on various things like race, religion, and sex. The Transgender community faces one of the highest amounts of discrimination. This includes things like using a public restroom, going to a doctor s office, insurance coverage, workplace, and traveling. First, utilizing public restrooms are a major problem for transitioning individuals. In many states, like Kentucky, there have been numerous attempts to pass laws that would force these individuals to use the bathroom that reflects the gender on their birth certificate, which usually states the gender assigned at birth. This is a form of discrimination due to the fact it would single out Trans individuals making them targets. It can be assumed no one is going to bother a cisgender individual only those, they suspect of being transgendered. For example, a transwoman who is just a few months into her hormones and has not received Sexual Reassignment Surgery going into the women s restroom in a Walmart is stopped by security and asked to prove her identity using her Identification that still says male. She will then be charged for using the wrong restroom and forced to go to the boys bathroom where she has an increased chance of being involved in a hate crime or sexual assault. • 41. Implementing A Successful Cross Training Program Essay CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING A SUCCESSFUL CROSS TRAINING PROGRAMBefore developing a cross training program, we need to plan accordingly. Not all employees need to be trained in all positions. We need to cross train a little at a time as there is no need to cross train all our employees at the same time. I suggest creating a formal job rotation program. We could reduce the workload during the training process since it will take the new person longer to perform the task until their individual proficiency is reached. This reduced workload will help employees feel less resentful that they are being required to do more work. Lastly, we must remember that employees don t retain the cross training skills forever and must be re trained periodically. The following questions need to be addressed: How will we communicate the strategy to employees; especially those employees who for various reasons may not be the best fit for cross training? What are the positions within the organization should be targeted for a cross training initiative? Which employees are ready to be cross trained and how will we determine who will be cross trained? In order to answer these questions, we must examine the following.Communication. We need to introduce to the employees the benefits of cross training. Explain to them that will be learning new skills that can help them grow. We must be sure to explain that the reason for cross training is not to eliminate positions, but to increase their overall development ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

P hilosophical Travel Journal 1 W C Patten PHL2 71 February 23, 2015 Philosophical Travel Journal I am writing this journal with the goal of recounting my travels to different philosophical societies. Remarkably, each one of the three societies I was privileged enough to travel to r igidly followed a renowned philosophy. These were the philosophies of Plato, Soren Kierkegaard, and Friedrich Nietzsche. The Republic The first society I visited was that of Plato s philosophy. The residents were very kind and sought out true meanings of different vi rtues solely by dialectic. They structured their city much the same way that Plato structured the renowned Republic . Plato said that a just city would involve each man doing his own work, or specializing in a certain task. The cobbler would be a cobbler, the builder would be a builder, the farmer a farmer, and so on an d so forth. Each of these focused on his work and in such a way maximized outpu t, as is logical. The army protecting that city stood as a c ourageous wall around it, ready to defend it whenever necessary. The soldiers training was intense, focusing not only on physical exercise but also on the arts. By being brought up with training both in the arts and in physical exercise, Plato believed t hese soldiers would be both courageous and wise. Indeed, they were.
