Their Eyes Were Watching God Analysis
Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "Their Eyes Were Watching God Analysis" can be quite
challenging for several reasons. Firstly, the novel itself is rich in symbolism, themes, and complex
characters, making it necessary to conduct thorough research and analysis to uncover its deeper
meanings. Secondly, crafting a compelling analysis requires a deep understanding of the socio-
historical context in which the novel is set, as well as the author's background and intentions.
This demands extensive reading and critical thinking to effectively interpret the text.
Additionally, formulating a coherent argument and structuring the essay in a logical and
persuasive manner can be daunting. It's essential to organize the ideas cohesively, provide
sufficient evidence from the text to support interpretations, and engage with existing literary
criticism to contribute new insights to the discussion.
Moreover, writing an analysis requires a balance between summarizing the plot and delving into
deeper analysis, which can be challenging to achieve. Ensuring that the essay maintains clarity,
coherence, and originality adds another layer of difficulty to the writing process.
In conclusion, writing an essay on this topic necessitates in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and
effective communication skills. It demands a significant investment of time and effort to
produce a high-quality piece of academic writing that contributes meaningfully to the discourse
surrounding the novel.

`` A Cyborg Manifesto `` By Donna Haraway
We invented machines to fulfill our necessities. As machines get smarter in the
21th century, we give machines more permissions and freedom to do more things
for us. However, the new generations that are born with all the advanced
technologies they needed don t quite understanding the use of machines as we are
more relying on them. The machines are quickly expanding and replacing our
brains and bodies even it is a simple task to do. But if we step back a little and think
that we are the inventors of these modern machines. Are we scare of machines taking
over our societies or is it just our fear and curiosity that tricked us? Well, we now
cannot live without machines. Human and machine are bonded together tightly that
we can t identify who we really are. We become cyborgwhich is a more accurate term
to describe who we are now.
The reading A Cyborg Manifesto by Donna Harawaypoints out that we are cyborgs.
There is no difference between human and machine and this boundary has been
breached. Cyborgs are a hybrid of machine and organism. They often appear in the
science fiction. Haraway describes that machines are now doing most of our works
while we just sit back and watch them doing what they suppose to do. It feels like
the machines are becoming alive and we are the one that rarely doing anything.
However, we are still on the top of the hierarchy no matter how machines will
change our lives, we are still on the top of the food chain. But even so, we can t

Analysis Of Bruce Wayne s Batman Essay
In Batman: Ego, Bruce Wayne struggles to fight his inner demons. These demons
take on the shape of Batman and lead to a power struggle with Bruce Wayne. Wayne
fights to hold on to what he believes in and show the world the true meaning of the
Batman costume. This fight categorizes not only Wayne s character but also the
character of Batman. The comic pushes the characters into stereotypical roles of
what a hero and a villain are. Initially, Bruce Wayne is presented as the canon good
guy or the hero, while Batman is presented as the stereotypical bad guy . This
representation is achieved by the comic through its use of details. Due to the illusion
of lightand the use of colors, Batman: Ego represents Bruce Wayne s character as a
being of purity and innocence and represents Batman as a being of evil and darkness.
Batman: Ego uses the illusion of light to portray Bruce Wayne s character in a
positive way and the character of Batman in a negative way. Every time Bruce
Wayne is shown in one of the comic panels, a beam of light is shown over his face
or behind him. No matter the background of the comic, Wayne is always clearly
visible as if a beam of light is constantly aimed at him. By doing this, the comic is
setting Wayne up as a symbol of purity and light. Wayne is like a beacon of hope
who strongly contrasts with the dark reality that is Gotham. This use of light is most
clearly seen in a panel on page 54. Within this panel, Wayne stands in the shadow of
the villainous
Chapter 9 Blum And Harvey Essay
Question: In Chapter 9, Blum and Harvey discuss the many competing versions of
Christ that all exist at the same time in the United States. How do these themes
parallel to the representations of Jesus in comedy?
Answer: One of the popular images of Jesus in modern times is his depiction as a
Middle Eastern man, especially noticeable after the attacks on September 11, 2001.
With the increasing amounts of Middle Eastern people on television, believers had to
reconcile these images with their idea of Jesus from that same region. As seen in
Paul Mooney s stand up routine, he joked about the fear of terrorism and suggested
that Osama Bin Laden probably looked like Jesus. Another trend in depictions of
Jesus was the sexualization of his body, creating
Analysis Of Dumpster Diving By Lars Eighner
In the American society, a lot of things are being thrown away. Sometimes those
things that is been tossed are still valuable to us. There are also times that people
that dumpster dive are not all homeless or poor anymore. I don t think this changes
people s thinking dumpster diving will raise awareness neither will reduce the
amount of stuff thrown away. I think is it simply showing that we can not control
what is being thrown out and from being a throwaway society. The essay Dumpster
Divingby Lars Eighner talks about his own experience of living out of a dumpster. In
his essay, it illustrates how wasteful people can be sometimes. people not only
throwing food but also furniture, clothing and other household items.

Florida s Space Exploration
Space exploration can help Florida s economy by filling in about 7000 8000 jobs, and
as many as 14000 people will be affecting directly and indirectly. Space exploration
and related industries pumped billions of dollars of federal funding into Florida s
economy. In 2011, NASA invested nearly $900 million in the state of Florida. Since
2001, NASAs SBIR/STTR program has invested almost $34 million in 54 Florida
companies and more than $1.2 billion nationwide. The National Defense Education
Act of 1958 provided federal funding for education, especially in science,
mathematics, engineering and modern foreign languages. As money poured in to

Perks Of Being A Wallflower Movie And Book Comparison
Essay
A few days ago, I was finally able to watch the long awaited movie adaptation of
Stephan Chbosky s epistolary novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The movie
follows awkward introvert Charlie Kelmeckis as he copes with the suicide of his
best friend, starting high school, his first love, and his raging mental illness while
struggling to find a group of friends with which he belongs. It was evident from the
beginning that the author was heavily influenced by J.D. Salinger s The Catcher in
the Rye. Holden, just like Charlie, is also a troubled teenage boy with many
underlying issues that he struggles to deal with while attempting to understand his
own identity. However, while both storylines seem similar at first, upon closer
examination, I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Holden is fixated on individuality and not being phony, while Charlie is infatuated
with happiness. When reading The Catcher in the Rye, it is not difficult to notice
Holden s hate for phoniness. Avoiding that one trait seems to be the deciding factor
when making most of his spontaneous decisions. The way Holden talks about
phoniness with such malice made me fully agree with him. In a world filled with
such pretentiousness, people should definitely try to hold on to whatever integrity
they have left, not change to accommodate what others expect from them. That is
where Charlie s character contradicts Holden s the most. Charlie always conforms
to the wishes of others to make them happy. He is willing to be whatever others
want him to be and hardly ever stands by his personal opinions. Charlie firmly
believes that by propitiating everyone around him, it will ultimately lead to his own
happiness. I find it quite ironic that a character so heavily based on Holden Caulfield
would so accurately personify everything wrong with the world in Holden s eyes, but
I suppose that is where the similarities in the two characters

The Importance Of Making Valid Decision And
Strategizing...
1
I still remember the days in my universities as if it were yesterday. In those days I
worked with lot of national and international organizations, which are working in
varied sectors and bringing change by modern methodologies. In second year of my
under graduate, I founded a Non Governmental Organization named Fep Si (Forum
for Empowering people through Social Innovation and Entertainment) and worked
with another organization named Alexis Foundation as research associate for
designing public policy driven by Big Data. From the experiences of working in
these organizations I learnt about the importance of making valid decision and
strategizing on business, polity and market front by providing accurate and up to
date information and performing data driven decision making at minor level. On the
other hand exposure of working with United Nations Envoy on Youth also helped
me in evolving as a leader who has the quality of thinking analytically towards global
problems. During these days I have felt many times that a lot of these problems can
be solved by integrating computer technology into data collection and management of
resources, energy, capital and various other things which are generally done by old
methodologies. These instances motivated me to believe that in the complex and
interconnected world of international business and its strategizing, the science of
information management is ever more important.
My interest in analytical thinking and science dates back to my
My Personal Leadership Assessments
Upon completion the three leadership assessments, I was surprised to notice several
data points which revealed particular aspects about my leadership style that I had not
previously perceived myself to be. One of these instances was my low balanced
processing scores during the Authentic Leadership Self Questionnaire, which
highlighted that I tend to glance over the opinions of others in lieu of my own. These
findings accurately reflect my leadershipskills as I tend overestimate my own ways
of thinking and can sometimes ignore others who may provide me with a broader
perspective. I plan to apply these results to grow professionally by taking actions such
as actively listening to constructive feedback and recognizing the value of the
opinions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One step I plan to take is to recognize that leadership is both an art and a science as
it requires more than simply making the right choice, but also developing a
personal leadership style. This is so as the results revealed that I tended to render
decisions based on logic, which may not be the case as not all business decisions
will be black and white choices. Another action I plan to consider is to have a
broader understanding of my professional abilities and take them into consideration
at a reasonable degree. While the results highlighted several of my leadership
strengths such as being open to others and having a positive attitude, I must not take
them for granted and assume that I can confront any challenge despite my prior
successes. This is so as my strengths in one field might not compensate for another as
I must strive towards becoming a complete professional rather than settling for my
existing skillset. In conclusion, these assessments have provided myself with a
broader understanding of my leadership acumen and I plan to apply their findings
towards taking on future career
Alchemy s Use Of Metals During The Renaissance
The Renaissance was a period in time where Europe had a rebirth and where able to
become creative, expand their ideas and reach new heights in literature, science,
philosophy, religion, and other areas. One of these areas that was important was the
use of metals. During this time, Alchemy was considered the foundation off science
and things such as metallurgy, chemistry, and astronomy were branches that came
out from this. Alchemy, in general was trying to find a magical power which would
transform a normal substance such as lead into a more valuable item such as gold.
During this time, a lot of alchemists thought that you could do this. However, as time
went on, people started to discover metals and how they could be used such as iron,
brass,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You read that the Roman Empire were refining iron in the 13th century. Even
Egyptians were using gold for their clothing and weapons. Looking at the Romans,
they had technology such as furnaces to be able to craft iron into whatever they
wanted. They also used bronze, copper, gold, and silver as their primary metals.
Metallurgy in Italy during this time was made up of mostly iron. Techniques were
found to extract iron such as creating pig iron (intermediate of smelting iron ore).
This was done by using blast furnaces, which were originally a Chinese invention. An
Italian version was made in the 15th century to increase production and trade in
Europe. They were also able to smelt bronze which was used very often for sculptors
during this time.
Observing the origins of metallurgy in the Renaissance, Paracelsus is the main
person who led the charge. Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Paracelsus Bombastus
von Hohenheim (given name), was considered a philosopher, physician, botanist,
astrologer, and general occultist (Wikipedia, 2016). His first big discovery for
metals was that there was The Tria Prima (earth generated all living things under the
rule of three principles ). They were Sulphur, Mercury, and salt. Paracelsus thought
Sulphur represented fire or the soul (anima), and mercury symbolized water or the
spirit (spiritus). Salt was for the earthly body (corpus) (Cavalani, 2003). Paracelsus,
based this off his religious beliefs
Comparing Jurisdiction And Venue
Jurisdiction vs. Venue Jurisdiction and venue are both very important factors in the
court of law. Jurisdiction is the authority given by law to a court to try cases and
rule on legal matters within a particular geographic area and over certain types of
legal cases. Venue on the other hand is the proper or most convenient location for
trial of a case, usually the district of county where the crime was committed.
Jurisdictionand venue share similarities as well as differences. These two are
similar because they both deal with the location of the case, however they are
different because jurisdiction deals more so with power, and venue refers to the
county or district within a state of the U.S. where the lawsuit is to be tried. In some

Poverty and Post-Secondary Education Essay examples
As Nelson Mandela once proclaimed, Education is the most powerful weapon which
you can use to change the world. Unfortunately, some students do not have the chance
to take part in a college education. Not receiving a post secondary education is a
rising issue among those below the poverty line in the United States. In 2010, eighty
two percent of high income students continued their education into college; while in
contrast, only fifty two percent of students living in poverty had the opportunity to
receive their college education. Poverty can be defined as having little to no money,
goods, or means of support. Living below the line of poverty is an ongoing struggle
for at least fifteen million young adults nation wide, according to the... Show more

The results from this study show that students from low income households have a
significantly lower chance of receiving a bachelor degree than those coming from
higher income households, which one could probably assume. Even the students that
preformed at the top of their class in eighth grade, but lived in low income households
had less than thirty three percent chance of completing college (Roy). This
astonishing fact proves that even the highest achieving students still do not have a
guarantee of receiving a college education, if their parents have no way to afford it.
Another study, conducted by the National Student Clearninghouse Research Center,
tracked two million, three hundred thousand people from high school into college to
track their performance while in college based on where they attended college. They
found that low income students from lower income high schools tended to wait a
couple years before enrolling in college while high income students attending higher
income high schools enrolled in college the fall semester after graduating high school.
Out of these participants, twenty two thousand, one hundred eight students continued
their education into college, and eighty one percent of these college students
successfully completed at least their second year of schooling (Sparks ). Another
rising problem in low income schools is that school districts do not distribute their
state and local finds equally to all schools. Although this may not stand
What Happened during the Suez Crisis
4. In what ways can the Suez Crisis be seen as a conflict between nationalism and
imperialism?
The Suez Crisis was an incident that first commenced on the 29th of October, 1956,
in which Israeli military forces entered the Sinai Peninsular and attacked Egyptian
positions, driving them back. By the next day, Israeli forces had reached the Suez
Canal, after taking a majority of the Sinai Peninsular. (Best, Hanhimaki, Maiolo
Schulze, 2008, p.432). Britain and France then both issued an ultimatum, for both
Israeli and Egyptian forces to withdraw from the Suez Canal, citing its safety from
the violence of war as extremely important. After Gamal Abder Nasser, Egypts
President at the time, rejected the ultimatum, on the 30th ... Show more content on

These events, which focused on Egypt attempting to free itself from colonial
influence, as well as giving rise to nationalistic pride in the country, inadvertently
resulted in hostility, distrust and suspicion towards them, mostly by France and
Britain (Kyle, 2011, p.115).
Meanwhile, the British and the French were colonial powers which prior to the
start of the Second World War, had empires which were large and expansive. They
had colonies in the Carribean, in Africa, as well as in Asia. Whilst both countries
came out of the war as victors, they had suffered embarrassing early defeats to
Japan and Germany respectively, which was a knock to colonial prestige (Nairn,
2003, p.3). The post war scenario was one in which colonies like Indochina and
India rose up to demand independence and the right for self determination from
their previous rulers. It was clear to many in this time period that the traditional
system of empire was finished, and with it the power of previous colonial rulers
(Hyam, 2006, p.239). Britain and France, not surprisingly, were unwilling to let this
happen. When Nasser nationalised the Suez Canal, they saw this as a threat to their
already diminishing empire, as not only would it lead inevitably to the loss one by
one of all our interests and assets in the Middle East (Hyam, 2006, p.227), it would
also lead to an increase in distance between their
Euthyphro, By Plato The Main Idea That Comes Up Is...

Chrisoula Andreou In Euthyphro, by Plato the main idea that comes up is socratic
ignorance. Euthyphro argues that he is the self proclaimed expert on the subject of
piety and impiety. I could argue in the position that, Euthyphro is claiming expertise
in a subject that he doesn t know enough about. This socratic ignorance is the idea of
the dialogue. I have decided to take an extra argument in this paper. I argue there is
ignorance in both Socrates and Euthyphro. Although it s more difficult to prove, I
explain the situations of piety and impiety and how it is relative to each person and
the time period of the discussion. Bringing the background situation to show claims
made by Euthyphro and lack of evidence provided in this dialogue. The supporting
claims I share after are on Euthyphro s side of conversation. This determines his
thoughts, on the definition of piety and unspoken details that I have determined.
Socrates also makes arguments that are known to be true, to Euthyphro through
comparison of different circumstances. This happens through Socrates and
Euthyphro, use of asking questions and questing answer, from what explained, based
on the knowledge of Euthyphro. I use the background of the whole dialogue, in
pointing out flaws in the responses of both parties. I also bring into aspect of the
circumstance relative to the time period, and the nature of people s beliefs, in
religion. The background of the dialogue the important to the
Summary Of The UF SOTD And Tilted Windmills
The UF SOTD and Tilted Windmills Theatricals did a remarkable job at presenting
The Magnificent Revengers by Matt Cox. The production uniquely presented the play
by allowing the audience to interact actively through technology. The technology used
in the production made the play unpredictable and entertaining. Nicole Cannon s fluid
acting, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices, and Set
Designer Colton Spurlock s set arrangements are key components that contributed
to the success of the production. Nicole Cannon did a spectacular job at playing
the role of Dorothy Kelly in the production through her effective dialogue delivery
and body language. At the beginning of the show, she said her lines in an uncertain
and doubtful manner. For instance, she stuttered and paused many times when she
talked to Jonny Triumph (as John Kelly) and tried to convince him that she may
not be the right person to take his revenge. Through this uncertainty in her tone, she
displayed the innocent and unworldly aspect of Dorothy Kelly. As the show was
nearing the climax, she successfully displayed confidence and hunger for revenge
in her voice by speaking louder and with boldness. Through the confidence in her
voice, she portrayed another aspect of Dorothy Kelly; one that was desperate to
take her brother s revenge and save her town. Her body language was also effective
in displaying the different emotional states of her character. For instance, when she
was dueling with Thiago Palma (as Mozie Thompson) and was deciding whether to
shoot him or not, she shook her hands steadily while holding the trigger and twitched
her eyes constantly to show anxiousness and hesitancy that Dorothy felt within her.
Cannon also fluidly transitioned between different body movements to make her
acting realistic. She particularly displayed this fluidity in the camping scene when
she talked to Katherine Haeuser (as Mysterious stranger). At first, she sat down with
her legs crossed and then she slowly transitioned towards the sleeping position. She
did this so smoothly that it did not appear forced or instantaneous. Moreover,
Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices also contributed to
the success of the
The Effects Of Prenatal Pregnancy On Pregnancy
The perinatal adversities seen in women with LMW highlights a nutritional or
constitutional mechanism of these complications. The data by Ehrenberg et.al (2003)
suggests that the contribution of maternal weight gain in pregnancy is a predominant
influence among complications such as prematurity, preterm labor, and LBW .
Weight gained in pregnancycan be considered a crucial predictor of adverse outcomes
than weight or BMI at delivery (Ehrenberg et.al 2003). Inadequate GWG in pregnancy
may bring forth nutritional deficiencies that increases the predisposition to preterm
delivery (Ehrenberg et.al 2003). In terms of prematurity, Ehrenberg et.al (2003) found
that the effect of GWG during pregnancy is greater than the influence of... Show more

LBW and impaired growth of the fetus in individuals with eating disorders could be
prompted by weight controlling behavior (such as strict dieting, vomiting, and
excessive physical exercise that leads to undernourishment) and compromised flow of
essential nutrients in the maternal blood to the fetus (Sollid et.al.,2004). Malnutrition
may also have a strenuous effect on the immune system, impairing its function
leading to higher risks of maternal infectious of diseases that also further initiate
preterm delivery (Sollid et.al.,2004). In addition to the perils of malnutrition and
behavioral elements, the excessive consumption and use of laxatives, diuretics, and
appetite suppressants in some women with eating disorders may have a teratogenic
effect (Sollid et.al., 2004). In essence, the amalgamation of undernourishment, weight
controlling behavior, and low pre pregnancy BMI in women with eating disorders can
severely interfere with neonatal health and pregnancy outcomes.
Spontaneous abortion is another phenomenon experienced by pregnant women that
affects the general population. Ballsells, Garcia Patterson, and Corcoy (2016) have
found a link between underweight women and miscarriage. They concluded that
maternal underweight is associated with a slightly increased risk of clinical
miscarriage, similar

chamber. The overburden was assumed to have a constant P wave, S wave and
density of 2600 m/s, 1600 m/s and 2500 kg/m3, respectively.
Background and theory
AVO results from energy partitioning‟, i.e. when a seismic wave hit a boundary,
portion of energy is reflected and the rest propagates through. If the angle of
incidence is not zero, pressure wave energy is partitioned further into reflected and
transmitted as P and S components. The ratio between of the reflected and
transmitted energy amplitudes is dependent on the disparity in physical properties
across the boundary; mainly shear velocity (Vs), compressional wave velocity (Vp),
and density (ПЃ). But, It is also notable that reflection amplitudes also depend on the
angle of progation between incidence and the surface as shown in the figure.
The reflection coefficient of a seismic wave reflecting off a boundary separating two
medias as a product from a normal incidence, can be expressed simply as R:
R=(Z_1 Z_0)/(z_1+z_0 )
where Z0 and Z1 are the acoustic impedances of the first and second medium,
respectively, although this simple relation cannot be utilized in case of abnormal
incidents, due to interchange conversion between P waves and S waves, and can be
described by Zoeppritz equations, where the amplitudes of reflected and refracted
waves at a planar interface for an incident P wave as a function of the
The Influence Of The Baroque Period
People used to describe the Baroque period as grand, joyful, exuberant and dynamic.
The term Baroque originally represented an irregular, oddly shaped pearl in Italian.
The Baroque took the design of the Renaissance and transformed it into its own
interior style. As with the Renaissance, the Baroquewas born in Rome, date from the
late 16th century. While in some parts of the world, especially Germany and colonial
South America, certain culminating achievements of Baroque did not appear until
the 18th century.
The popularity and success of the Baroque age was informed by the tensions of the
Reformation and the Counter Reformation. The Church aimed to emphasize the

Firstly, French window is one of the most essential elements in the Baroque interior.
The windows of the architectures become larger in order to allow vast amounts of
natural light to shine into the interior. Great quantities of windows are applied in the
interior, including windows on the ceilings and walls. Light effect was enhanced by
day by the introduction of ever larger window openings and by night by the
combination of firelight and candlelight. Light is emphasized in the design. Mirror,
chandelier, slash pattern and the extreme contrast of colors of paintings also represent
light. Natural lighting had become increasingly a symbol of wealth and

The first take away point is why and how writing group can support me in my
writing practice. The overall philosophy of taking part in writing group is that
writing is not a private and implicit work, but a public and shared one (Maher et al,
2008, pg. 263). This philosophy has led me to such a new sight of writing that
instead of struggling by myself, I can learn from reviewing others writing and
responding to their feedback on my own papers. Moreover, I am into the idea that
I can share my academic stress and struggles with others who are on the same boat
with me. As a PhD student, I have experienced so many difficulties, not only in my
program but also in my personal life that I appreciate social and emotional support
from my peers more and more. To the second taking away point, the article has
encouragingly contributed to change my thinking way of my own identity in
academia. Previously, my writing goal was only to meet the requirement of my
class assignments. Now, I consider writing a process in which I practice to become a
professional writer, a scholar who is capable to publish in my research
Three Rules Of Constraint Management And Supply

2.4 CONSTRAINT MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
What is Constraint Management? Constraint management is a tool that supervisors
and other management personnel use to help employees sustain task focus.
According to Goal Systems International, a Washington based business consulting
firm, constraint managementtry to help employees and supervisors remain locked in
on the most important element of business success: system constraints. These
constraints, or basic conditions to accomplishment a goal, differ by business and can
include meeting manufacturing output quotas, completing products in a well timed
manner or obtaining particular customer satisfaction scores on product surveys.
Constraint management believes that losing focus on these key essentials can facing
disaster for a workforce and the business as a whole. The constraint management
model recognizes performance standards for employees and try to improve
operational efficiency. A business is using constraint management requires structured
schedules for assembling raw materials, creating products and distributing products to
consumers. Performed properly, this model of management can significantly improve
the lag time between steps in a company s production process. There are three Rules

Lord God, God And God
The Hebrew Bible is a redaction, a single document stitched together using different
sources. The first book, Genesis, means origin: both the origin of the world
(creation) and modern humans (genealogy). It is the product of two sources known
as the Priestly source (P) and the Yahwistic or Non Priestly Source (J). The two
sources present different versions of the supreme being: Godand Lord God. While
God and Lord God both have immense power and the unique ability to create, they
are separate characters with separate personalities. Lord God is like a Greek
anthropomorphic god with humandesires and limitations, whereas God is an all
powerful abstract being of pure spirit. Lord God, like a Greek anthropomorphic
god, has a human form and body. We first learn about Lord God in chapter two, the
second creation story. Firstly, Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath. (2.7) The verb to form implies that Lord
God made man with his hands, and he has a breath, so he is not just an immaterial
being. Therefore, Lord God must have a physical form because he is directly
involved in the work of creation, not just commanding things to be. We see evidence
of his physical presence later when Adam and Eve[hear] the sound of the Lord God
walking in the garden... (3.8) For Lord God to be walking and making noise in the
garden, he would need to have feet, and by extension, a body.
In addition to his human physique, Lord God has a human

Values and Morals in A Man For All Seasons by Robert Bolt In the play A Man For
All Seasons by Robert Bolt the audience learns about the extraordinary life of Sir
Thomas More. Sir Thomas is faced with a moral dilemma that will determine the
outcome of his life. More, chancellor of England , and a strong Christian believer is
forced to choose between his close friend, King Henry VIII, and the supreme lord
his God. More is a man of moral integrity because he refuses to submit to external
pressures to sign the oath condoning the Act of Supremacy. He follows his heart and
soul in doing what he believes to be right no matter what the consequence. More is
told by King Henry VIII to sign the Act of Supremacy. The Act gives Henry VIII full

Despite what many may think, More would rather not get involved or influence
the life of the king concerning the divorce. To most people signing the oath is a
minor thing. It is something that should be done to appease the King , despite
personal beliefs. However, for More his decision to sign the oath must be based on
his beliefs. If he were to sign the oath he would lose all self respect. The audience
learns this when he says I neither could nor would rule my King. But there s a
little...little, area...where I must rule myself. It s very little less to him than a
tennis court. (Bolt, p 59). More is a man of principles and he will not compromise
these principles. According to Sir Thomas if a man is prepared to take an oath
then he must stand by that oath. However, in this case the signing of the oath
would compromise these principles and therefore he can not sign. He displays this
view when he says, When a man takes an oath, Meg, he s holding his own self in
his own hands. Like water... (Bolt, p 140) More goes on to explain that he can not
doubt his soul. If he were to go against his moral conscience, in a sense he would be
killing his soul, and without the soul there is nothing. More s conscience is
extremely important to him. He could not live with himself if he were to go against
his conscience. To sign the

that is in continuous peril from the sandy beaches to the open waters. The dangers
imposed on the sea turtle range from nature s predators to the human impacts on the

survive nature s predators. However, the sea turtles are struggling to survive the
human impact over the last several centuries. Studies have shown the unique lifecycle

Symptoms And Treatment Of Bipolar Disorder II Essay
Living with waves of happiness followed by sadness is the life that Nicki Brown
lives. From my interview with her it is clear that she has Bipolar Disorder II, she
has also become more aware as to why she behaves the way she does. Nicki states
the importance of addressing mental issues and seeking treatment, because in the
long run it could save one s life. Do you feel have periods of deep depressive states,
along with moments of high motivation? Do you find yourself seeking slightly
risky activities while depressed? Have you experienced or are currently
experiencing stressful life events? Does anybody in your family suffer from a
psychological disorder? By answering yes to these questions, this portrays some
characteristics of Bipolar Disorder II. My case study is on Nicki Brown, who
appears to have Bipolar Disorder II. To begin, according to the DSM 5 bipolar
disorder II features include; present or previous of one or more major depressive
episodes, hypomanic episodes, and no history of a manic episode in full. The
symptoms above are not to be accounted for by another psychological disorder,
solely bipolar disorder II. Nicki finds herself extremely motivated during her up
periods and lacks this motivation during depressed periods. Here is an example of her
motivation, she dreams about her future of becoming of nurse, and reflects about how
fortunate she is to have such a great family that supports her throughout college. To
take her motivated thinking to another level,
The Maze In Wes Ball s The Maze Runner
In Wes Ball s, The Maze Runner, there are many symbolic meanings behind the
maze, such as order, chaos/fear, and life. The ideology of a maze is to confuse and
trick those who are within them. In The Maze Runner, the maze is continuously
changing as each night passes; its walls open and close, shift from right and left.
This creates a new path for the runners every time they enter the maze. A simple
mistake can have a tragic result, as seen from when Alby is being dragged towards
the glade from the maze by Minho (The Maze Runner). Missteps made in the maze
can be connected to bad or regretful choices made in life. The maze, in and of itself,
is like a human s life; full of choices and mysteries.

Every person within the Glade before Thomas arrived had viewed the maze as a
turbulent pit of hopelessness. Regardless of how much the runners know of the
maze, the maze is still an unknown piece of work. Gally, especially, perceives the
maze with chaos and disarray; the Glade is his safe haven . In The Maze Runner,
Gally tells the Gladers that Thomas was just trying to scare them, to which Thomas
says, No, I m not trying to scare you, you re already scared (The Maze Runner).
The maze as a whole gives them all fear, fear is as equal as chaos; both can trigger
the other. Alby tells Thomas a set of rules, do your part, do not harm a fellow
Glader, and do not go past the walls (The Maze Runner). These rules are made to
prevent chaos from ensuing in the Glade because, in the eyes of the Gladers, this
territory is the only secure place they have and know of. Gally still fears the maze,
no matter how much effort Thomas has put into finding a way out. In The Maze
Runner, Thomas tells Gally, Well at least I did something, Gally. I mean, what
have you done? Huh? Aside from hide behind these walls all the time? . Gally
argues that Thomas has been in the Glade for three days and Gally has been for
three years, to which Thomas states, Yeah, you ve been here three years and you re
still here. . Gally finally has this opportunity to leave but he is too clouded by the
chaos of the maze and his own fears that he fights the opportunity. It
Film Analysis
The genre the film was originally intended to be was horror. But after filming and
the editing process started we decided to change the film to a mystery film with a
little bit of action in it. The action comes from the gun shot in the last scene.
When we decided which of our story ideas or film ideas that we would film, we chose
my film idea. This was because the idea we ended up going with was the most
practical and had the least number of props needed for the production of the film.
Deciding which shots to use was great because when we got to filming we could
change it if it didn t look as good in reality as it did in our heads. During planning,
we planned to use a range of different shots, from extra long shots to establish the

If we had more time and a proper budget, then editing would have been done at a lot
higher quality and had more access to locations then the film would have appeared
nicer and longer to watch. This would have made the film much more enjoyable and
appealing to the audience.
Inputs:
The film was not completed to the best standard, mostly because of the resources we
had available. Using the resources available we were able to complete our project
adequately.
We had 3 different actors throughout the whole project: Cooper, Kyle and me,
Aaron. We were not professional actors. Eric was the cameraman. I was the editor.
And Eric and I was the directors. We also had Daulton and Zach to support us during
the filming of the lab scenes.
The software used to prepare for the film and create the script and storyboards was
Microsoft Word. The story boards were created using a website called Storyboard
That. The story boards were created on the website then put onto a Word Document
with all the camera angles, shot types, dialogue and a short description about what
happens in the scene. The editing software used to edit the film was Adobe
Premiere Pro. I had access to Adobe Premier Pro so I decided to use instead of
Pinnacle Studios that was preinstalled on our laptop because Premier Pro is much
more powerful and would better suit our needs. I also used Adobe After Effects for
the News intro lower thirds and the credits. The technology used during production

King Sejong The Great Research Paper
Throughout our lives, we all probably have faced a slump that put you in a dip. It
drags you down to the very bottom and makes you want to give up on everything.
However, everyone has different way of getting out of that sinkage; it may be
exercise, travel, etc. In my case, the one that pull me out of the slump was
motivation and inspiration that my role models gave, especially, King Sejong the

that I admire. King Sejong the Great (1397~1450) was the 4th king of Korea, who
left many achievements for his people. The greatest and the most remembered
achievement he made is the invention of Hangeul, the Korean Alphabet. Early days in

Zionism and the impact it has created on the persons involved along with the
spread of Zionism across the Jewish community. The core reason of approaching
this topic, Zionism was because of the personal connection I have towards it.
Zionism was portrayed in one way all my life and it was an unclear topic that I
became to grow to want to learn more about. I really wanted to look more into it in
the summer of 2014, when Palestinians were being massacred and killed in various
violent ways in Palestine by Zionists. The news always briefly went over the
thousands of people that were getting killed without actually explaining the cause
and effect and overlooking each life that was taken away. This gave me the urge to
dig deeper into the concept of Zionism and the roots of where it came from, and how
it had formed and spread to have influenced the people. Netanyahu was able to
demonstrate in depth all aspects of Zionism and demonstrate his influence.
This collegiate novel written by Netanyahu broadened my views on Zionism and on
the various aspects that others habitually criticize about the topic. After getting hold
of this book, I
Gender And Gender Roles
Sexual orientation parts constitute the states of mind and practices that are
anticipated from guys and females in a given culture of society. It is these gender
roles that give the effect of sex disparity among the male and the female sex. I trust
the most imperative concern facing women in the U.S today is the inequality in the
work field. Keeping in mind that this inequality is built upon several factors such as
wage gap, stereotyping, sexual harassment and many others that are outstanding even
when viewed from outside of the work environment.
Gender inequality is between us all in any known society. Even though gender is
not as simple as may seem. Gender comes into play alongside with various numbers
of different aspects such as sex, gender and gender roles. Each of these viewpoints
have a critical influence when talking about the diverse social issues experienced by
men and women. Sex makes up the natural contrasts; of male or female. Gender is
the socially learned practices that are connected to the sexes (Marini, 1989,) which
make Sexual orientation Roles.
The primary type of inequality in the work place is the wage contrast. Wage contrasts
amongst men and women caused by discrimination can come about because of a few
reasons. The first is the place ladies are differentially assigned to occupations and
foundations that compensate lower wages (Marini, 1989.) This procedure may
include discrimination partly through differential access to occupations and
foundations,

luckily there is or has been a remedy for boredom. Some people (the fans) have
argued that the cure for our insufferable and bland lives has been on screen since
2010. And it s name is Sherlock. The tv show brought to us by the BBC has become
a cult phenomenon since it hit our screens in the early 2010s. But why? What s so
great about a tv show starring two British guys? Well the answer is simple,

its audience. One of the most famous and popular methods she points out as being
that of the HeroMyth. In it s most simplistic form the Hero Myth is about an
unwilling character seeking and finding adventure all the while being transformed. If
we go back to the tv show Sherlock it contains specific parts of the Hero Myth.
However, it also contains much more. According to Ray, in his article entitled The

GRAPHING TRIGONOMETRIC
FUNCTIONS
Amplitude, Period, Phase Shift, Horizontal Shift of Sine and Cosine
DEFINITION
The trigonometric functions are functions of an angle. They relate the angles of a
triangle to the lengths of its sides. Trigonometric functions are important in the study
of triangles and modeling periodic phenomena, among many other application.
Amplitude is half the distance between the minimum and maximum values of the
range of a periodic function with a bounded range. A graph that repeats after a fixed
interval, which is a period, of the independent variable. Horizontal shift is obtained by
determining the change being made to the x value. A phase shift represents the...

The Southwest Blackout Of 2003
The Northeast blackout of 2003 was one of the most critical blackouts in the
history which affected more than 50 million people in both the United States and
Canada. The main cause of this disaster was a software bug in the energy
management system used by FirstEnergy Corporation, located in Akron, Ohio.
This is a perfect example of poor quality coding may led to a big disaster. For a
perfectly planned power grid, the power generation of each region is matched with
the power consumption within this region, so that the power lines will always carry
a reasonable workload. If one power line fails to work, other parallel lines would
have to carry extra power, which is bad for safety and may lead to fire. The power
system operators are the ones... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And the generating plant don t know it either. Then, because the workload was
assigned to other lines, several other lines in the region also declined to work for self
protection, and the whole Ohio and Michigan got blackout short after. The company
and other government departments noticed the problem, but hardly have anything to
do at the time. The cascading effect is already unstoppable. Each generating plant
can only separate their generators from the power grid to prevent the large current
destroy their generators. So almost all the generating plants in northeastern United
States and Ontario went offline, and the whole region got blackout. This happened
in only 2 hours. Water pumps cannot work without power supply, so some areas
also have water supply problem. And other services like public transportation (e.g.
TTC streetcars), communication, and media (radio and TV stations) also affected.
Some areas recovered from the blackout the same night, but most areas did not get
power back until August 16th, two days after the accident. Both United States
government and Canada government were criticized, and they adopted some policy
to prevent future blackouts after it. Following the blackout, a thorough investigation
of the energy control system was taken. GE s developers looked through millions of
lines of code and log to find the bug, and it them weeks to finally locate the bug. The
bug is known as a race condition in computer science,

Media Stereotypes
(2002), they expanded on this concept by showing that 0.8% (out of 600 articles)
of these mentally ill individuals were quoted directly, with the use of their own
words. This further shows that mentally ill individuals are not given enough say,
and this could be a problem. Perhaps if they were given a voice, stigma could be
reduced if people saw that they weren t as dangerous as the media makes them out
to be. Another study conducted by Roberts, Bourne, and Basden (2013) shows that
these results are seen in different countries. Their study, conducted in Bermuda,
analyzed newspapers for a twenty year period from 1991 2011. They examined a
sample of 277 newspaper articles, coded for mentions of mental illness. They found

This stigma, present in different forms of media, creates an extremely negative
picture of both mentally ill individuals and those who help treat mentally ill
individuals. Previous research has discovered that representations of mental
illness in fictional media can negatively influence public images of mental illness,
which can perpetuate stigma (Pirkis et al. 2005). Previous research by Granello et
al. (1999) examined what type of media had the most significant impact on
attitudes surrounding mental illness. Granello et al. (1999) found that those who
received the majority of their information from electronic media were less tolerant
of mentally ill individuals, and had higher levels of stigma. The results showed
that those who favored electronic media were more likely to favor authoritarian
and socially restrictive views towards mental illness, as well as less likely to
positively view mental illness treatment in the community in a positive way. These
results were similar to those found by Lopez (1991), who found that adolescents
were less accepting of mentally ill individuals, and desired more social distance,
when mass media was a source of their information about mentally ill individuals.
The concept of social distance has been used in other studies, such as those done by
Link et al. (1999), who found that the strong desire for social distance represents

Conservatism In The United States
In the world of politics, there are many people who tend to view the world through a
lense that justifies as to how they view the world around them. Specifically in the US
today, there are individuals who are either conservative, or are liberals. While
comparing conservatism and liberalism, they are extremely different in terms of
definition. Conservatismis defined as an individual who, believes in the value of
established and traditional practices in politics and society (Merriam Webster). In a
broad perspective, conservatism is traditionally interpreted when a person is
unwilling to accept change. In contrast, liberalismis defined, [as a] belief in the value
of social and political change in order to achieve progress (Merriam Webster).
My Humanitarian And Human Rights Project On The
Famous And...
I chose to do my Humanitarian and Human Rights Project on the famous and loving
Bob Marley. Bob Marley is widely recognized as a man that portrays and lives a
peaceful life that we could all learn from. Although he passed on May 11, 1981, his
legend still remains bigger and better than ever. Bob Marley was a great Reggae
singer who promoted peace with his songs, free concerts and actions. With that being
said, he received many awards and honors recognizing him as a legend.
Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 and grew up in a mostly rural community
in the mountains called Nine Miles. Many of the residents of Nine Miles acquired
customs from their African ancestry such as story telling to share their past and
traditions. When Bob was just getting into his teen years he moved from St. Ann to
Jamaica s capital and settled in Kingston vicinity of Trench Town. Trench Town was
a low income community where Bob had to learn to protect himself from men that
were not so nice. He was given the nickname Tuff Gong from his decent street
fighting skills.
Although Trench Town was mostly poverty and full of street fighting, it was a
culturally rich community where Bob s musical talents flourished. Trench Town
was incorporated in his songs, No Woman Cry , Trench Town Rock , and the last
one being Trench Town . Bob s mom wanted him to pick up a trade. When Bob was
just 14 years old he accepted a position as a welder s apprentice. After an incident

Analysis Of Punishment By Seamus Heaney
In Heaney s Punishment , his poem remarks specifically on the case of a young
bog person, known as the Windeby girl, and its barbarous nature and the
connection to many of the atrocities that were carried out upon Catholic girls at the
time. The Windeby girl was an archaeological find in Germany in 1952; she was
said to be an adulteress, and she was shaved, blindfolded and drowned in the bog
(Lange). The Windeby girl was said to be found next to her lover , although this is
speculated. Heaney is known by some as an archaeologist because of his poems
which integrate the rich history of his country but also the events as in Punishment .
The speaker of the poem, Heaney himself, writes with empathy and sorrow for the
young girl who was brutally violated for a crime directed toward her gender. He
places himself as a witness, identifying with her torture, but confessing that he was
just that, a witness. Yet, he says that although he is outraged by the punishment
carried out upon the women, he understand[s] the exact and tribal, intimate revenge
(Stallworthy). This phrase tips the morality scale of the author and makes the reader
wonder how the speaker, or Seamus Heaney, could understand a brutality such as
this? Or rather, does Seamus Heaney s understanding actually mean that he could not
expect any less from the men of the Irish Republican Army, who committed these
heinous acts? While this question may be left up to interpretation, the message still
runs clear:

Kotler, P. And Armstrong (2006) define price is the cost of product and service that
the customer can accept and can pay. Their decision making is based upon several
factors, including their budget, their desire for the product and their perception of the

This demands extensive reading and critical thinking to effectively interpret the text. Additionally, formulating a coherent argument and structuring the essay in a logical and persuasive manner can be daunting. It's essential to organize the ideas cohesively, provide sufficient evidence from the text to support interpretations, and engage with existing literary criticism to contribute new insights to the discussion. Moreover, writing an analysis requires a balance between summarizing the plot and delving into deeper analysis, which can be challenging to achieve. Ensuring that the essay maintains clarity, coherence, and originality adds another layer of difficulty to the writing process. In conclusion, writing an essay on this topic necessitates in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. It demands a significant investment of time and effort to produce a high-quality piece of academic writing that contributes meaningfully to the discourse surrounding the novel. As machines get smarter in the 21th century, we give machines more permissions and freedom to do more things for us. However, the new generations that are born with all the advanced technologies they needed don t quite understanding the use of machines as we are more relying on them. The machines are quickly expanding and replacing our brains and bodies even it is a simple task to do. But if we step back a little and think that we are the inventors of these modern machines. Are we scare of machines taking over our societies or is it just our fear and curiosity that tricked us? Well, we now cannot live without machines. Human and machine are bonded together tightly that we can t identify who we really are. We become cyborgwhich is a more accurate term to describe who we are now. The reading A Cyborg Manifesto by Donna Harawaypoints out that we are cyborgs. There is no difference between human and machine and this boundary has been breached. Cyborgs are a hybrid of machine and organism. They often appear in the science fiction. Haraway describes that machines are now doing most of our works while we just sit back and watch them doing what they suppose to do. It feels like the machines are becoming alive and we are the one that rarely doing anything. However, we are still on the top of the hierarchy no matter how machines will change our lives, we are still on the top of the food chain. But even so, we can t ignore that
  • 3. Analysis Of Bruce Wayne s Batman Essay In Batman: Ego, Bruce Wayne struggles to fight his inner demons. These demons take on the shape of Batman and lead to a power struggle with Bruce Wayne. Wayne fights to hold on to what he believes in and show the world the true meaning of the Batman costume. This fight categorizes not only Wayne s character but also the character of Batman. The comic pushes the characters into stereotypical roles of what a hero and a villain are. Initially, Bruce Wayne is presented as the canon good guy or the hero, while Batman is presented as the stereotypical bad guy . This representation is achieved by the comic through its use of details. Due to the illusion of lightand the use of colors, Batman: Ego represents Bruce Wayne s character as a being of purity and innocence and represents Batman as a being of evil and darkness. Batman: Ego uses the illusion of light to portray Bruce Wayne s character in a positive way and the character of Batman in a negative way. Every time Bruce Wayne is shown in one of the comic panels, a beam of light is shown over his face or behind him. No matter the background of the comic, Wayne is always clearly visible as if a beam of light is constantly aimed at him. By doing this, the comic is setting Wayne up as a symbol of purity and light. Wayne is like a beacon of hope who strongly contrasts with the dark reality that is Gotham. This use of light is most clearly seen in a panel on page 54. Within this panel, Wayne stands in the shadow of the villainous

How do these themes parallel to the representations of Jesus in comedy? Answer: One of the popular images of Jesus in modern times is his depiction as a Middle Eastern man, especially noticeable after the attacks on September 11, 2001. With the increasing amounts of Middle Eastern people on television, believers had to reconcile these images with their idea of Jesus from that same region. As seen in Paul Mooney s stand up routine, he joked about the fear of terrorism and suggested that Osama Bin Laden probably looked like Jesus. Another trend in depictions of Jesus was the sexualization of his body, creating

Perks Of Being A Wallflower Movie And Book Comparison Essay A few days ago, I was finally able to watch the long awaited movie adaptation of Stephan Chbosky s epistolary novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The movie follows awkward introvert Charlie Kelmeckis as he copes with the suicide of his best friend, starting high school, his first love, and his raging mental illness while struggling to find a group of friends with which he belongs. It was evident from the beginning that the author was heavily influenced by J.D. Salinger s The Catcher in the Rye. Holden, just like Charlie, is also a troubled teenage boy with many underlying issues that he struggles to deal with while attempting to understand his own identity. However, while both storylines seem similar at first, upon closer examination, I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Holden is fixated on individuality and not being phony, while Charlie is infatuated with happiness. When reading The Catcher in the Rye, it is not difficult to notice Holden s hate for phoniness. Avoiding that one trait seems to be the deciding factor when making most of his spontaneous decisions. The way Holden talks about phoniness with such malice made me fully agree with him. In a world filled with such pretentiousness, people should definitely try to hold on to whatever integrity they have left, not change to accommodate what others expect from them. That is where Charlie s character contradicts Holden s the most. Charlie always conforms to the wishes of others to make them happy. He is willing to be whatever others want him to be and hardly ever stands by his personal opinions. Charlie firmly believes that by propitiating everyone around him, it will ultimately lead to his own happiness. I find it quite ironic that a character so heavily based on Holden Caulfield would so accurately personify everything wrong with the world in Holden s eyes, but I suppose that is where the similarities in the two characters

In those days I worked with lot of national and international organizations, which are working in varied sectors and bringing change by modern methodologies. In second year of my under graduate, I founded a Non Governmental Organization named Fep Si (Forum for Empowering people through Social Innovation and Entertainment) and worked with another organization named Alexis Foundation as research associate for designing public policy driven by Big Data. From the experiences of working in these organizations I learnt about the importance of making valid decision and strategizing on business, polity and market front by providing accurate and up to date information and performing data driven decision making at minor level. On the other hand exposure of working with United Nations Envoy on Youth also helped me in evolving as a leader who has the quality of thinking analytically towards global problems. During these days I have felt many times that a lot of these problems can be solved by integrating computer technology into data collection and management of resources, energy, capital and various other things which are generally done by old methodologies. These instances motivated me to believe that in the complex and interconnected world of international business and its strategizing, the science of information management is ever more important. My interest in analytical thinking and science dates back to my

Another action I plan to consider is to have a broader understanding of my professional abilities and take them into consideration at a reasonable degree. Alchemy s Use Of Metals During The Renaissance The Renaissance was a period in time where Europe had a rebirth and where able to become creative, expand their ideas and reach new heights in literature, science, philosophy, religion, and other areas. One of these areas that was important was the use of metals. During this time, Alchemy was considered the foundation off science and things such as metallurgy, chemistry, and astronomy were branches that came out from this. Alchemy, in general was trying to find a magical power which would transform a normal substance such as lead into a more valuable item such as gold. During this time, a lot of alchemists thought that you could do this. However, as time went on, people started to discover metals and how they could be used such as iron, brass,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You read that the Roman Empire were refining iron in the 13th century. Even Egyptians were using gold for their clothing and weapons. Looking at the Romans, they had technology such as furnaces to be able to craft iron into whatever they wanted. They also used bronze, copper, gold, and silver as their primary metals. Metallurgy in Italy during this time was made up of mostly iron. Techniques were found to extract iron such as creating pig iron (intermediate of smelting iron ore). This was done by using blast furnaces, which were originally a Chinese invention. An Italian version was made in the 15th century to increase production and trade in Europe. They were also able to smelt bronze which was used very often for sculptors during this time. Observing the origins of metallurgy in the Renaissance, Paracelsus is the main person who led the charge. Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Paracelsus Bombastus von Hohenheim (given name), was considered a philosopher, physician, botanist, astrologer, and general occultist (Wikipedia, 2016). His first big discovery for metals was that there was The Tria Prima (earth generated all living things under the rule of three principles ). They were Sulphur, Mercury, and salt. Paracelsus thought Sulphur represented fire or the soul (anima), and mercury symbolized water or the spirit (spiritus). Salt was for the earthly body (corpus) (Cavalani, 2003). Paracelsus, based this off his religious beliefs

Even the students that preformed at the top of their class in eighth grade, but lived in low income households had less than thirty three percent chance of completing college (Roy). This astonishing fact proves that even the highest achieving students still do not have a guarantee of receiving a college education, if their parents have no way to afford it. Another study, conducted by the National Student Clearninghouse Research Center, tracked two million, three hundred thousand people from high school into college to track their performance while in college based on where they attended college. Another rising problem in low income schools is that school districts do not distribute their state and local finds equally to all schools. Although this may not stand

By the next day, Israeli forces had reached the Suez Canal, after taking a majority of the Sinai Peninsular. (Best, Hanhimaki, Maiolo Schulze, 2008, p.432). Meanwhile, the British and the French were colonial powers which prior to the start of the Second World War, had empires which were large and expansive. They had colonies in the Carribean, in Africa, as well as in Asia. Whilst both countries came out of the war as victors, they had suffered embarrassing early defeats to Japan and Germany respectively, which was a knock to colonial prestige (Nairn, 2003, p.3). The post war scenario was one in which colonies like Indochina and India rose up to demand independence and the right for self determination from their previous rulers. It was clear to many in this time period that the traditional system of empire was finished, and with it the power of previous colonial rulers (Hyam, 2006, p.239). Britain and France, not surprisingly, were unwilling to let this happen. The production uniquely presented the play by allowing the audience to interact actively through technology. The technology used in the production made the play unpredictable and entertaining. Nicole Cannon s fluid acting, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices, and Set Designer Colton Spurlock s set arrangements are key components that contributed to the success of the production. Nicole Cannon did a spectacular job at playing the role of Dorothy Kelly in the production through her effective dialogue delivery and body language. At the beginning of the show, she said her lines in an uncertain and doubtful manner. For instance, she stuttered and paused many times when she talked to Jonny Triumph (as John Kelly) and tried to convince him that she may not be the right person to take his revenge. Through this uncertainty in her tone, she displayed the innocent and unworldly aspect of Dorothy Kelly. As the show was nearing the climax, she successfully displayed confidence and hunger for revenge in her voice by speaking louder and with boldness. Through the confidence in her voice, she portrayed another aspect of Dorothy Kelly; one that was desperate to take her brother s revenge and save her town. Her body language was also effective in displaying the different emotional states of her character. For instance, when she was dueling with Thiago Palma (as Mozie Thompson) and was deciding whether to shoot him or not, she shook her hands steadily while holding the trigger and twitched her eyes constantly to show anxiousness and hesitancy that Dorothy felt within her. Cannon also fluidly transitioned between different body movements to make her acting realistic. She particularly displayed this fluidity in the camping scene when she talked to Katherine Haeuser (as Mysterious stranger). At first, she sat down with her legs crossed and then she slowly transitioned towards the sleeping position. She did this so smoothly that it did not appear forced or instantaneous. Moreover, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices also contributed to the success of the

If the angle of incidence is not zero, pressure wave energy is partitioned further into reflected and transmitted as P and S components. The ratio between of the reflected and transmitted energy amplitudes is dependent on the disparity in physical properties across the boundary; mainly shear velocity (Vs), compressional wave velocity (Vp), and density (ПЃ). The reflection coefficient of a seismic wave reflecting off a boundary separating two medias as a product from a normal incidence, can be expressed simply as R: R=(Z_1 Z_0)/(z_1+z_0 ) where Z0 and Z1 are the acoustic impedances of the first and second medium, respectively, although this simple relation cannot be utilized in case of abnormal incidents, due to interchange conversion between P waves and S waves, and can be described by Zoeppritz equations, where the amplitudes of reflected and refracted waves at a planar interface for an incident P wave as a function of the

While God and Lord God both have immense power and the unique ability to create, they are separate characters with separate personalities. Lord God is like a Greek anthropomorphic god with humandesires and limitations, whereas God is an all powerful abstract being of pure spirit. Values and Morals in A Man For All Seasons by Robert Bolt In the play A Man For All Seasons by Robert Bolt the audience learns about the extraordinary life of Sir Thomas More. Sir Thomas is faced with a moral dilemma that will determine the outcome of his life. More, chancellor of England , and a strong Christian believer is forced to choose between his close friend, King Henry VIII, and the supreme lord his God. More is a man of moral integrity because he refuses to submit to external pressures to sign the oath condoning the Act of Supremacy. He follows his heart and soul in doing what he believes to be right no matter what the consequence. More is told by King Henry VIII to sign the Act of Supremacy. The Act gives Henry VIII full ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite what many may think, More would rather not get involved or influence the life of the king concerning the divorce. To most people signing the oath is a minor thing. It is something that should be done to appease the King , despite personal beliefs. However, for More his decision to sign the oath must be based on his beliefs. If he were to sign the oath he would lose all self respect. The audience learns this when he says I neither could nor would rule my King. But there s a little...little, area...where I must rule myself. It s very little less to him than a tennis court. (Bolt, p 59). More is a man of principles and he will not compromise these principles. According to Sir Thomas if a man is prepared to take an oath then he must stand by that oath. However, in this case the signing of the oath would compromise these principles and therefore he can not sign. He displays this view when he says, When a man takes an oath, Meg, he s holding his own self in his own hands. Like water... (Bolt, p 140) More goes on to explain that he can not doubt his soul. If he were to go against his moral conscience, in a sense he would be killing his soul, and without the soul there is nothing. More s conscience is extremely important to him. He could not live with himself if he were to go against his conscience. To sign the

In The Maze Runner, Gally tells the Gladers that Thomas was just trying to scare them, to which Thomas says, No, I m not trying to scare you, you re already scared (The Maze Runner). The maze as a whole gives them all fear, fear is as equal as chaos; both can trigger the other. It is these gender roles that give the effect of sex disparity among the male and the female sex. I trust the most imperative concern facing women in the U.S today is the inequality in the work field. Keeping in mind that this inequality is built upon several factors such as wage gap, stereotyping, sexual harassment and many others that are outstanding even when viewed from outside of the work environment. Gender inequality is between us all in any known society. Even though gender is not as simple as may seem. Gender comes into play alongside with various numbers of different aspects such as sex, gender and gender roles. The Southwest Blackout Of 2003 The Northeast blackout of 2003 was one of the most critical blackouts in the history which affected more than 50 million people in both the United States and Canada. The main cause of this disaster was a software bug in the energy management system used by FirstEnergy Corporation, located in Akron, Ohio. This is a perfect example of poor quality coding may led to a big disaster. For a perfectly planned power grid, the power generation of each region is matched with the power consumption within this region, so that the power lines will always carry a reasonable workload. If one power line fails to work, other parallel lines would have to carry extra power, which is bad for safety and may lead to fire. The power system operators are the ones... Each generating plant can only separate their generators from the power grid to prevent the large current destroy their generators. So almost all the generating plants in northeastern United States and Ontario went offline, and the whole region got blackout. This happened in only 2 hours. Water pumps cannot work without power supply, so some areas also have water supply problem. Both United States government and Canada government were criticized, and they adopted some policy to prevent future blackouts after it. Following the blackout, a thorough investigation of the energy control system was taken. GE s developers looked through millions of lines of code and log to find the bug, and it them weeks to finally locate the bug. The bug is known as a race condition in computer science,

Previous research has discovered that representations of mental illness in fictional media can negatively influence public images of mental illness, which can perpetuate stigma (Pirkis et al. 2005). Previous research by Granello et al. (1999) examined what type of media had the most significant impact on attitudes surrounding mental illness. Granello et al. The results showed that those who favored electronic media were more likely to favor authoritarian and socially restrictive views towards mental illness, as well as less likely to positively view mental illness treatment in the community in a positive way. These results were similar to those found by Lopez (1991), who found that adolescents were less accepting of mentally ill individuals, and desired more social distance, when mass media was a source of their information about mentally ill individuals. Analysis Of Punishment By Seamus Heaney In Heaney s Punishment , his poem remarks specifically on the case of a young bog person, known as the Windeby girl, and its barbarous nature and the connection to many of the atrocities that were carried out upon Catholic girls at the time. The Windeby girl was an archaeological find in Germany in 1952; she was said to be an adulteress, and she was shaved, blindfolded and drowned in the bog (Lange). The Windeby girl was said to be found next to her lover , although this is speculated. Heaney is known by some as an archaeologist because of his poems which integrate the rich history of his country but also the events as in Punishment . The speaker of the poem, Heaney himself, writes with empathy and sorrow for the young girl who was brutally violated for a crime directed toward her gender. He places himself as a witness, identifying with her torture, but confessing that he was just that, a witness. Yet, he says that although he is outraged by the punishment carried out upon the women, he understand[s] the exact and tribal, intimate revenge (Stallworthy). This phrase tips the morality scale of the author and makes the reader wonder how the speaker, or Seamus Heaney, could understand a brutality such as this? Or rather, does Seamus Heaney s understanding actually mean that he could not expect any less from the men of the Irish Republican Army, who committed these heinous acts? While this question may be left up to interpretation, the message still runs clear:
