The nervous system controls all bodily functions and processes information through the brain and nerves. It receives information from the five sense organs - nose, tongue, eyes, ears, and skin - which detect smells, tastes, sights, sounds, and touches from the environment and internal body. This sensory information is transmitted by nerves to the brain for processing.

through the optic nerve to the
brain.

10. HEARING
Our ears are the organs of hearing.
When sound enters the ear, the liquid
inside the cochlea moves and sends signals
to the brain through the auditory nerve.

11. TOUCH
• Our skin is the organ of touch.
The sensory nerves in our skin send
information to the brain.
