BIM STANDARDS (PHASE ONE)
Introduction
In order to promote BIM to industry stakeholders and establish a set of BIM specifications and common practice for the industry’s reference, the CIC commissioned a consultant to prepare Hong Kong’s local BIM standards
Phase One of the consultancy service would focus on the architectural and structural models in the stages of scheme, preliminary design, detailed design, submission to approving authority, construction, and as-built. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) models would cover up to the scheme and preliminary design stages only.

This presentation is a summary about BIM technology (knowledge & implementation) to explain the difference between BIM & Revit (BIM is a processes knowledge, and Revit is a one of the softwares used in these processes).
International BIM Implementation for The Saudi Big 5Saad Al Jabri
This lecture highlights international high-level principles around how to implement and use BIM in the design, construction and operation of the built environment, including Aspects of procurement management and asset management. It is intended that these principles be used as a comprehensive framework for individuals and organisations.
Therefore, I advise any professional or firm considering using BIM to attend the lecture.
In this presentation I gave one overall overview about BIM workflow for Construction and D&B companies.
BIM is not a tool, BIM is not a software, BIM is a way of thinking about the project and put together processes to exchange information during the entire lifecycle.
This presentation is mainly focused on Autodesk platform but is applicable to many other solutions.
In this presentation, a quick but comprehensive introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) is provided, aiming at showing the benefits of BIM for all the actors of a construction project.
Plannerly and Dalux for construction system engineeringStephen Au
Yahiaoui et al (2006) argue that adoption of the traditional SE V-diagram during building design and construction process would help optimize the trade offs during building lifecycle since SE V‐diagram allows for transformation of operational needs into a system performance parameters specification and integration of different functionalities requirements and related design parameters.
BIM and DWSS (Digital Works Supervision System) create a digital twin to compare the virtual asset simulation with the physical system performance analysis for system optimization, which is aligned with SE validation process. In the presentation, we will discuss and show how the DWSS & BIM via digital construction technology @Plannerly & @Dalux can enable system engineering approach being applied to the buidling delivery process in building design
Building Information Modelling (BIM) has radically changed the way architectural, engineering and constructional design and documentation is implemented.
BIM Building Information Modeling is much more than model creation, it is human and software collaboration through large volumes of construction data that is communicated at every point in the development life-cycle for a project(s).

How to Create a Rock Star BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and MPDT* (Responsibility ...Fabio Roberti
A BIM Execution Plan (BEP) is a valuable and necessary part of any project in the AEC sector. It is essential when the team needs to work in a collaborative process to ensure that everyone on the project is aligned with the project objectives. A correctly implemented BEP will ensure the project goals are clear and agreed by the wide project team. Communication is a key component of all construction projects. To be successful, it requires many different people working together to achieve the client requirements. A well-built BEP requires the project team to work together and communicate from the very beginning to the completion of the project. This class will explain the importance of the BEP and demonstrate how to create an efficient BEP for post-contract-award which will include the Model Production & Delivery Table (MPDT). The post-contract-award BEP sets out how the information required in the Employer's Information Requirements will be provided.
About the IPD using BIM by Pisut Aunwong . It shows the description about the BIM with respect to Integrated Project Delivery IPD. IPD has been a hot topic and with respect to BIM has been the most research part of this decade.

Positioning of BIM from Hong Kong’s Perspective
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is not just a three dimensional drawing tool but a new way
of holistically managing information related to construction projects, from planning to design,
construction and operations.
It offers a new method of working that uses modern technology to facilitate project management
and execution. BIM enables better control of the construction process and enhance cross-
disciplinary collaboration, internal coordination, external communication, problem solving,
decision-making support, productivity management and risk management.
6. 6
Collaborative Moving Through CIC
Hong Kong BIM stakeholders are being collaborated through CIC to work together towards strategic
implementation of BIM in Hong Kong’s construction industry.
The BIM implementation in Hong Kong’s construction industry by CIC is taking both:
CIC has collaborated around 30 stakeholder organisation from public clients, private clients, architectural,
engineering, surveying, BIM professional institutes, trade unions, academia, etc, in Hong Kong.

Imminent Actions:
PROMOTION & AWARENESS PROGRAM – to carry out promotions targeting industry stakeholders who are
not familiar with the use and benefits of BIM, or who are observers or new to the idea of adopting BIM,
especially the top management of major project clients. As the key drivers of BIM adoption, it is important
that these stakeholders appreciate the benefits of BIM and prepare their organisation to adopt BIM.
Promotion should not be limited to local practitioners but also include regional and international practices;
ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARD – to devise a set of standards or specifications to facilitate the wider use of
BIM in construction projects. Standards should include, but are not limited to: (i) Project Execution Plan; (ii)
Modelling Methodology; (iii) Level of Detail; and (iv) Component Presentation Style and Data Organisation.
The scope should include, but not be limited to architectural, structural, civil engineering, and MEP BIM
models in stages of conceptual, preliminary design, detailed design, construction and as-built;
TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE BASE, QUALIFICATION RECOGNITION – to develop the industry’s BIM capacity by
