This document describes an education program from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) that teaches construction professionals how to implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) on construction projects. The program consists of 32 hours of interactive instruction across four units that cover BIM fundamentals, technology, contract negotiation, and process integration. It also describes AGC's Certificate of Management in BIM, the construction industry's first certificate program teaching practical BIM application. Unit 1 of the program is an 8-hour introductory course that explains BIM benefits and terminology, and how BIM can improve visualization, communication, and collaboration through case studies of successful BIM implementation.
