How to Create a Rock Star BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and MPDT* (Responsibility ...Fabio Roberti
A BIM Execution Plan (BEP) is a valuable and necessary part of any project in the AEC sector. It is essential when the team needs to work in a collaborative process to ensure that everyone on the project is aligned with the project objectives. A correctly implemented BEP will ensure the project goals are clear and agreed by the wide project team. Communication is a key component of all construction projects. To be successful, it requires many different people working together to achieve the client requirements. A well-built BEP requires the project team to work together and communicate from the very beginning to the completion of the project. This class will explain the importance of the BEP and demonstrate how to create an efficient BEP for post-contract-award which will include the Model Production & Delivery Table (MPDT). The post-contract-award BEP sets out how the information required in the Employer's Information Requirements will be provided.

BIM for Building Services Engineering - HKIE seminar in 2014Stephen Au
As building construction project becomes more complex and shorter time to market. By adopting the BIM, simulation, mobile and cloud computing technology, an integrated collaboration platform allows owners, architects, engineers, constructors and sales & marketing working together at any place and any time to get the instant correct information with controlled business process. This can greatly improve design innovation, productivity, safety and cost effectiveness under the GREEN design-build-sell-maintain lifecycle. This seminar will focus on how to use BIM for building services from design, build to facility management.

Building information modeling (BIM) is a process involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Building information models (BIMs) are files (often but not always in proprietary formats and containing proprietary data) which can be exchanged or networked to support decision-making about a place. Current BIM software is used by individuals, businesses and government agencies who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain diverse physical infrastructures, such as water, wastewater, electricity, gas, refuse and communication utilities, roads, bridges and ports, houses, apartments, schools and shops, offices, factories, warehouses and prisons.

3. Introduction of BIM
Building Information Modelling is the development and
use of a multi-faceted computer software data model to
not only document a building design, but to simulate the
construction and operation of a new capital facility or a
re-capitalised (modernised) facility.
建築信息模擬是使用電腦數據模型但不單是把建築設計信
息保存,更是模擬建造和營運新建或改造的建築設施。
