The Session Initiation Protocol Sip
The Session Initiation Protocol SIP is responsible for signaling and controlling communication over
the internet. The public switch telephone network is what can connect two telephone servers and allow
them to connect with one another. In its birthing years, the PSTN was very simply operated. This
network could connect two telephones to allow conversations from homes to businesses by telephone
lines. As technology increased private branch exchanges were created. The PBE helped the capability
of increasing telephone lines to multiple different destinations. Although the advancement on
technology is extremely helpful to those who conduct international business affairs, it also opens the
door for many protocol vulnerabilities.
As with any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of communication is widely used across the United States and other countries for both
business and personal usage, because it is among the simplest. Call setup is the way that two
telephones can recognize one another and share information via those two lines. This means that SIP
understands call setup is the main application layer.
The act of using voIP over the internet opens the window for many internet attacks and security and
protocol issues. Protocol vulnerabilities include numerous attacks all at once, security vulnerabilities,
and attacks exploiting private and crucial information. VoIP is a freely opened environment, therefore,
there is a large window of opportunity to the hacking world. What this means is that the internet is
easily assessable to a multitude of people, some with good intent and some with malicious intent.
Because this is made to be so easily accessed, it is easy for a person to act in a criminal manor and
disrupt the flow of private conversations. To help eliminate some of these issues SIP has evolved as
the signaling protocol to recognize and handle mass media sessions for the internet and its extremities.
These vulnerabilities are so severe because attackers can exhaust and misuse available resources,
create false responses to malicious requests, or discover more security vulnerabilities.
To secure VoIP networks can be very complicated. The first VoIP vulnerability is insufficient
verification data. This weakness

Role of Women in the Paleolithic and Modern Period
Role of Women in the Paleolithic and Modern Period

Role of Women in the Paleolithic and Modern Period * Women of the Paleolithic and Modern periods
both have role models that have different meanings such as their role in society and their body image;
however the way the males have treated these women showed little respect. During the Paleolithic
period a sculpture was carved from using simple carving tools to create a masterpiece that is known
today as the Venus of Willendorf. The Venus of Willendorf has suggested to archeologists that the
sculpture was to have been an image of fertility, which is how their existence survived for so many
years. Looking at the sculpture also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These different roles are what have inspired women; if you can imagine it then you can become it. In,
1992 President Barbie was created which led the way for the feminist that shape the future political
leaders (Zaslow amp;Schoenberg, 2012). The United States had the first female run for office in 2008,
only 16 years after President Barbie was introduced to the young women of America. This is only the
beginning of what the women of today s society are going to do as a political leader.
Venus of Willendorf was a role model for the perfect female form for her obesity; however today
women have strived to have the Barbie look. In the, Stone Age fat was beautiful because it meant
vitality and fertility (Paige, 2004, p. 4). There were many different body shapes of woman from the
Paleolithic period, but there is only one that really stood out and served as a role model for their
village. Venus of Willendorf is sculpted in a way that clearly shows her obesity and why she is the role
model for the Paleolithic period. She was sculpted with a large stomach that overhangs a fat roll that
extends around the middle, a flat butt and large thighs that are pressed together on her knees. This is
one of the earliest signs of obesity in women and they still struggle with this in the modern society.
In today s society everyone has imagined to have that perfect body. Many experts have suggested that
Barbie is a root cause for many problems with women

Double Preparation Lab Report

Chemistry Honors, Period 6
23 November 2015 Double Replacements and Precipitations, Combining and Reacting
Background Information: According to Steven S. Zumdahl and Donald J. DeCoste (Introductory
Chemistry: A Foundation), a double replacement reaction occurs when two cations and two anions are
transferred. A precipitation reaction takes place when two aqueous solutions dissolve in water, and a
solid forms between one of the cations and one of the anions (Zumdahl/Donald 187). Zumdahl and
Donald also say that evidence of a precipitate includes a color change, gas production, transfer of
electrons, or the formation of water. All of these types of evidence occurred in this lab. Signs that a
reaction has taken place ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Zumdahl and Donald J. DeCoste (Introductory Chemistry: A Foundation), two ionic compounds are
placed in water and react and form two new compounds. There is evidence of a double replacement
reaction when a precipitate will form when a reaction occurs. There could also be a change in color,
temperature, and possibly gaseous productions. Most commonly, there will be a color change and
formation of a precipitate. During this lab, many chemicals will be involved that are not meant to
contact skin or eyes. They can burn, sting, or irritate the skin. In order to prevent this, we must wear
safety goggles throughout the entire procedure and be careful while dealing with the chemicals. We
also need to be responsible and not touch, smell, or taste the chemicals at any point within this lab.
The chemical formulas of the aqueous solutions of ionic compounds in this lab that are used are
KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate), Mg(NO3)2 (Magnesium Nitrate), Fe(NO3)3 (Iron (III) Nitrate),
Zn(NO3)3 (Zinc Nitrate), 3Cu(NO3)3 (Copper Nitrate), Ca(NO3)2 (Calcium Nitrate), K3Fe(CN)6

How Did The Us Foothold In The War Of 1812
The War of 1812 was the first war where the US actually declared war on anybody. The US was ready
to expand and had their sights on Canada. The Northern states were against going to war as they relied
on trade a lot. The Southern and Western states, being more agrarian, wanted expansion. The
Americans who were ready for war were referred to as War Hawks, Henry Clay being amongst them.
The Federalists were against going to war. America didn t have many ships, their leaders were out of
shape and most of them were drinking. The only reason the US gained a foothold in the war was due
to Britain being preoccupied in the Napoleonic Wars, which they defeated Napoleon not until 1814.
With the defeat of Napoleon came the end of impressment since

Child Labor Is Not An Effective Way For India
In today s society, as Americans we don t realize the toys and clothes we buy at the store are all being
created by children who were forced to put themselves in that position in order for us to receive our
goods. All around the world, child labor is one of the most widely social issues affecting the younger
population, specifically, in India. For the children of India, work becomes a nightmare based on
suffering and mistreatment. While children have no choice but to be independent and forced to work,
it can be a big influence on the child s education, life, health, and development. Where child labor is
deeply rooted from tradition, the causes of child labor are difficult and complex beliefs and views of
economic, social, and cultural matters that make it challenging for the welfare of the children to
progress, but child labor is not an effective way for India and it s people to develop and grow as a
stable country.
The influence of child labor has reached numerous problems and has become a vast concern in several
countries but more importantly in India. India becomes a grounding place of poverty, scarce jobs, and
unbearable conditions. Where poverty turned out to be the number one factor in which child labor
increased, it is also caused by a long term effect of instability and a lack of growth stemming from
various reasons such as low income from jobs, agriculture, and social order. The basis of child labor
stems from the hardships their parents had to undergo and

Truss Construction Shop Incident
Introduction
Injuries from equipment in the workplace can lead to a tense work environment in the aftermath. It is
important for a company to know that employees can rely on equipment and be comfortable in their
jobs. This critical thinking paper will entail an analysis of an incident on the job at Truss Construction
Shop. The paper will include: identifying the problem, analyzing the information, considering other
viewpoints, and developing well reasoned conclusions.
EXPLANATION
Two weeks ago, there was an incident at Truss Construction Shop. A hoist operator was placed into an
induced coma due to a large part of a Truss breaking apart during a QA Truss load test. The Truss
broke apart because the testing was pushed beyond the threshold. This incident made the employees
worry that the trusses would fail underloaded. The sales department is concerned about customers
cancelling orders because of delays in shipping. A cancelled order creates an unsatisfactory customer,
which can affect sales tremendously. Another issue arising from the event is that a worker named
Faruch Habib leaked the details of the incident and the testing outcomes of the QA Truss load ... Show

The real reason Habib could have been terminated is by leaking information to the media rather than
poor performance. It is also not known whether Habib was possibly blackmailed or given a ransom to
provide information to the media. An employee who receives a low income can easily be bribe into
giving individual s information about their employment. It can also help with implementing new
procedures regarding employee safety at work. Since employees have been curious about
disadvantages in the manufacturing and engineering process, this is one way to increase worker
morale. Worker s morale can increase by employees feeling safe and understanding how or why the

Title IX Thesis
While Title IX is often thought of the women s sports bill , the history and progression of Title IX
suggests a far more complex history. In fact, as Amanda Ross Edwards suggests, Title IX s shift was
reaction to public conflict about the bill that was spurred after the bill s creation. The conflicts
surrounding the development of Title IX suggests that debates about who should be included in
educational spaces and who should be excluded from those spaces did not cease upon the Brown vs.
Board of Education or after the development of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. As we examine the
controversy and discourse of Title IX especially regarding women in sports it becomes clear that the
American public was still very much interested in creating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

While the development of this bill speaks some to the progressive spirit of the 1960s and 1970s, the
public backlash to this bill says even more about the lasting impact of discrimination in educational
contexts. As Edwards (2010, p. 307) notes, some of the emphasis on Title IX and athletics came from
the executive branch as they tried to construct these regulations; gender discrepancies were easy to
examine in the context of athletics. However, much of the public attention on Title IX and athletics
and the intense controversy surrounding Title IX came from the backlash against women athletics.
Edwards (2010) suggests that [The] focus turned to athletics primarily because of those groups
fighting against Title IX. Those opposed to Title IX, such as the NCAA and the American Football
Coaches Association, drew attention to an issue that the women s groups originally fighting for Title
IX had ignored, (p. 307). Thus, in attempt to quell the encroaching threat of female athletics, groups
that opposed Title IX s role in defending female athletes stoked the flames of controversy that
transformed the public understanding and the meaning of the bill.
Understanding the opposition s role in transforming Title IX is important because it ultimately

The idea of my business is to start up a new business which offers everyone a chance to get the top
brands of bikes, but at a cheaper price than the RRP. My business offers people to pay either straight

necessarily be able to have, if they had to pay before being allowed to take the bike home. My
business appeals to everyone, over the age of 16, either to just look around the shop or to buy a bike.
An important factor my business will have to follow is: people can only buy a bike if they are at the
legal age of being able to own the certain bike type. Although the majority of people who will visit the
shop will be people over the age of 18, anyone of any age will be allowed into the shop to browse.
Service/product offered The products that will be offered in my business will be the top brand
motorbikes, as well as lower class ones. My products will be at affordable prices that most people will

Before the Battle of Mortain was even in sight the 30th Infantry arrived in the United Kingdom in
February 1944. Their first attack would be the Normandy invasion on June 15th 1944 on Omaha
beach. It is unknown if Joseph participated in the invasion of Normandy but his division was most
certainly apart of the efforts carried out at the time. During this there was friendly fire on part of the

The Risks Caused By Foreign Currency Derivatives On The...
Nestlé S.A. is a Swiss company and owns a prestigious position being the world s leading nutrition,
health and wellness group (Nestlé, 2016). According to its annual report (2015), this company is
exposed to many risks caused by movements in foreign currency exchange rates, interest rate and
market prices. The foreign exchange risk comes from transactions and translations of foreign
operations in Swiss Francs (CHF). The interest rate risk faces the borrowings at fixed and variable
rates. The market price risk comes from commodity price and equity price. The former risk arises
from world commodity market for the supplies of coffee, cocoa beans, sugar and others. The later risk
arises from the fluctuations of the prices of investments held. (Nestle annual reports, 2015). Thus,
financial derivatives instruments are used by this multinational corporation in order to hedge these
risks.
Moreover, because of the huge worldwide extension of the corporation, which operates in 194
countries, the use of foreign currency derivatives to minimize the earnings volatility would be the
subject of later analysis. The report will focus on how Nestlé uses futures and option contracts to
hedge its exposure to currency risk, centering our attention in Nestlé Home Currency, the Swiss Franc
in relation to the US Dollar (USD/CHF). It will be examined an example of its hedging strategy and
the information provided by a contact in the firm.

Marco Polo s Influence On Chinese Culture
Chinese culture has remained a true marvel, and often, a mystery, to the outside world since the
beginning of its earliest dynasties. Its value of isolating itself from the rest of the world has defined
and concentrated its unique culture, which now shines starkly against the background of the rest of the
modern world. In some cases, Chinese society holds tightly onto aspects of its culture even when the
rest of the world appears to be moving on. This mindset is demonstrated within the ancient Chinese
lunar calendar and astrology system. Though slightly modernized to fit within the present day, these
systems have rooted themselves deeply into Chinese society from their small scale beginnings and still
manage to influence daily life, regardless ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Almost 4,000 years later, Marco Polo, a Venetian explorer, documented how he witnessed astrology
dictating the actions of the Chinese people he encountered. In his journals, he described how when a a
child is born, the day, time, planet, and sign is recorded so that if later in life the person wants to make
an important decision, such as begin a journey, they would be able to consult an astrologer to approve
or redirect their actions ( Marco Polo: The Book of Marvels (Ca. 1324) ). In fact, there was so much
respect for astrologers at this time, and such a widespread belief that political happenings were
reflected in the stars, that they were often put into positions of bureaucratic power. Astrology thus
became integrated with government and therefore agriculture ( Astronomical Illustration from Zhou
Dynasty ). Around 100 AD in northern China, a government issued farming calendar was written to be
aligned with the stars, earth, and moon. It instructed farmers what jobs to do and when to do them, like
sowing, harvesting, and preparing through the winter, as well as when to conduct religious ceremonies
(Lai Po 10). Astrologers provided a sense of stability and predictability, which the citizens flocked to,
so the science was able to be deeply rooted within the communities. In China s earliest history, most
aspects of society revolved around the tendencies of the encompassing celestial

their sexuality and can get what they want in a relationship. The next thing the Skyy Vodka appeals to

Dulce Et Decorum Est
Poetry composers evoke ideas of truth to help individuals and readers understand their ideas that have
been portrayed through their work. Wilfred Owen was a war poet who served in world war one. In
Owens poems of Dulce Et Decourm Est and Anthem for Doomed youth . Both poems explore the
ideas of meaningless sacrifice and suffering as wells as the horrors of war. Owen used many poetic
techniques to help him convey his ideas of war.
Young lives are wasted in war which only increases the cruelty and meaningless of it. Wilfred Owen s
poem, Dulce et Decorum est follows the death of a young soldier. In the line If you could hear at every

Owen successfully evokes the ideas of truth in the poem Dulce et Decorum est the line You would not
believe with such high zest, to children ardent for some desperate glory, the old lie through the use of
metaphors and personification Owen demonstrates that the reality of the individual s experience in
war meant that they ended up challenging their sense of duty, their blind patriotism and understood
that the true meaning of war is futile. The unimaginable suffering they lived through further highlights
this reality. Also in the poem Anthem for doomed youth Owen explores the truth of war in the quote
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes. Owen uses the technique of symbolism to link the
glimmers of goodbyes to a funeral. Many soldiers did not receive proper funeral rights and were just
buried in mass graves. Owen also shows the truth of war through the mortality of war in his
oxymoronic approach of the colossal loss of life. Essentially Owen explores the truth of war through

Racial Politics And The Race Cycle Model Essay
It has been centuries since slavery ended across Latin America and the United States, yet racial issues
continue to plague these countries. Since manumission, the concept of race has evolved through the
meaning societies have given it. While the idea of race is merely conceptual it has significant social
and political effects. More specifically, through racial politics, these countries have been able to
incorporate race in their agendas and implement racial politics in their laws and policies in such a way
that perpetuates racial ideologies. One of the methods used to understand the role of racial politics and
its effect on racial ideologies and vice versa is the race cycle model. The purpose of the race cycle
model is to demonstrate how racial ideologies are improved, worsened, or maintained, but fails to
explain how the cycle can lead to multiple, asymmetrical outcomes as depicted by the racial politics of
Haiti and the responses of other Latin American and the United States following the Haitian
Revolution.
The race cycle model begins with what Sawyer (2006) calls the old equilibrium. This old equilibrium
represents the status quo surrounding the racial politics and ideologies in a state. In the old
equilibrium, Haiti was formerly a French colony known as Saint Domingue on the island of
Hispaniola. Throughout this period, Saint Domingue was a major plantation zone and France s
wealthiest overseas colony, exporting, Over 80,000 tons of sugar , among other cash crops

A La Carte By Web Based Services Essay
Nowadays, budget conscious customers look at ways to avoid paying for expensive bundles cable TV
offers. They prefer to choose a la carte programming offered by web based services. A la carte
approach to programming enables the subscribers to pay for only the channels they really want to
watch. Several companies including Verizon, Walt Disney and Viacom provide their customers with
content they are interested in without the need of paying for channels they are not willing to watch. No
wonder there is a lot of competition between the largest operators in the wireless and cable industry
like Verizon, Dish and Comcast.
In 2014 Verizon Communication chief, Lowell McAdam, said that Web and mobile devices require a
different approach than traditional cable. He stated that Web and mobile users don t desire to have
hundreds of channels on their wireless device (Albanesius, 2014). Verizon looks into the future and
understands the need of implementing changes and satisfying customers. The company wants to move
in the right direction and allow their customers to have more control over the programming.
Dish is another company that has made their services more attractive to their customers. The company
strives to increase the value of their products and services. Dish offers live local broadcast and
channels like ABC Family or ESPN over mobile devices and set top box. Dish s customers are now

Wu Zetian And Hatshepsut
Despite Tang empress of china, Wu Zetian, and Egypt s Pharaoh Hatshepsut leadership being
underrated and infamous, these two hero women had their similarities and differences during the ear,
beginning from striving to achieve leadership and power and later ruling the empires. Wu Zetian was a
non nonsense lady who strived to get what she desired and even used manipulation and violence for
anyone who would cross her way. With stunning beauty and an excellent talent, Wu, managed her way

reign glorious.
Wu Zetian, born in a well of family became interested in ruling as an emperor at a young age. Unlike
other younger girls, Wu spent most of her time reading about politics. She learnt how to read, write
Chinese classics and play music. By the age of thirteen, Wu became popular due to her beauty,
outstanding wits, talents and intelligence earning her a place at the court of Emperor Tsai Sung. Wu
was easy to love, therefore becoming the emperor s favorite concubine within a short period of time.
Tsai Tsung died later then succeeded by his son Kao Tsung. (Richard, Harper 1998) By this time
Zetian was already twenty seven years old. She immediately became the favorite concubine of the

Congratulations on your new investment in the lemonade truck, though I m sorry it s not going as well
as you would have liked. Lucky for you the IRS permits deductions for the expenses of starting a new
business. There are two requirements for a deduction on account of start up costs.
First, the payment must be paid in connection with creating a business. Within the past year you have
incurred several expenses in connection with starting the business: (1) $1,000 of your own money as a
down payment on the truck; (2) a $49,000 loan for the truck; (3) $750 for the lemonade maker; and (4)
$1,500 on lemons, sugar, and boba tea.
Second, the expenses must be one that is allowed as a deduction. To be deducted the expense must be
ordinary, necessary, and incurred during the taxable year in order to carry on the business. In
determining whether expenses are necessary, we look to the purpose in making the payments and
whether they have a connection to the business. In your case this would be to have a place to run your
business, and to have the equipment and inventory needed to make your product. A necessary expense
is one that is appropriate and helpful for the business. It is both appropriate and extremely helpful to
have a place

Analysis Of 320 By Emily Dickinson 320
Emily Dickinson wrote 320 in a form in a form that is not traditional. It is written in a closed sense
given it is written quatrains that frequently rhyme, but it does not fall into a traditional pattern.
Dickinson generally follows the pattern of writing the first and third lines of each stanza in iambic
tetrameter and the second and fourth lines in iambic trimeter. Other times, she uses Trochees in
random times making the form sound choppy. For example, in the first stanza she uses the trochee
certain and winter . Both of these create a rough sentence. The poem goes into pause at many times
throughout the poem, thus bringing out the dissatisfaction and difficult time the poem is describing.
There is no way to tell who is speaking in this poem. Dickinson generally wrote as if the narrator was
somebody parallel or close to herself; however, in 320 there are no signs of if it is Dickinson or one of
her other popular characters. The narrator seems to be speaking as if they are part of a group, as the
only pronouns mentioned are us and we . This us could be up for interpretation; it could be a small
group experiencing death or even the entire human population as a whole and their view of God.
Dickinson uses strong imagery in the first stanza. The reader imagines the booming sounds of large
cathedral organs and the way the bass of them shakes your soul. She adds a negative connotation to
these shakes by stating it oppresses the narrator. Following, Dickinson uses the metaphor of a slant of
light on a winter afternoon to the opening her internal pain. As the slant of light opens, it is essentially
opening up a seal of despair. Nothing external has affected the body; however, the heartbreak from the
pain the narrator is dealing with leaves behind marks on her soul. She follows this theme through the
entire poem that the slant of light has brought pain upon her. Dickinson starts with a relatively positive
tone. When stating There s a certain Slant of light / Winter Afternoons the reader has the visual of a
small light shining through on a white surface. This tone quickly changes when it is followed by That
oppresses, like the Heft / Of Cathedral Tunes giving off the interpretation of a light that hits

British Military Force Analysis
The sheer supremacy of the British military force was more than capable of expeditiously suppressing
an amateur rebellion and successfully restoring the insurgent colonies to their innate allegiance. Until
Washington finally adopted a defensive strategy at the fortress of Harlem Heights, the British
undoubtedly had a significant military leverage over the Americans; therefore, if Lord Germain s
[Germain] strategy were properly employed, the British should have won. Germain informed General
William Howe [Howe], and subsequently General Henry Clinton [Clinton], of his plan in which a
decisive blow had to be delivered before any reconciliation so that the overwhelming force would
shock the rebels into recognizing the futility of their cause. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The only reason the Continental Army was spared was because of Howe s secret hopes of negotiating
a peaceful end to the rebellion. He was also so sure of the fact that British victory was inevitable,
which in turn meant that a more limited strategy was wholly adequate. By delaying the process of
suppression, the Continental Army gradually gained experience and courage. Washington also learned
from his mistakes in the Battle of New York and ignored his aggressive military instincts; he
eventually put aside his honor driven character to adopt a new attitude towards his definition of a
victory. Though it ran counter to all his instincts, he now realized that his goal was not to win the war
but rather not to lose it, and thus he embraced a defensive strategy in the fortress of Harlem Heights.
However, before this pivotal moment in history, Howe could have and probably should have listened
to Clinton in targeting the Continental Army at King s Bridge. However, Howe wanted his American
campaign to be a more measured affair, meaning he could have put an early end to the Continental
Army, but chose not to in order to remain civilized and reduce

Persuasive Against Racial Profiling
Judging a book by its cover is one of the most common yet worst mistakes a person can make. Racial
profiling is judging a person by their skin color, and not only does this lead you to false ideas about
that person, but also hurts that person you re judging. Shoshana Hebshi was judged; she was targeted
because of her Arab background and the way she looked. Due to her experience, she is now filing
lawsuits against the federal agencies that accused her and working to stop racial profiling. Racial
profiling is wrong and in order bring it to an end, Hebshi shouldn t stop with filing lawsuits against the
federal agencies but continue to gain support from similar ideological interest groups as well as
congressional support. With support from each part of the Iron Triangle, racial profiling could be put
to an end.
Imagine being accused, strip searched, scared, alone and trapped in a filthy prison cell all for nothing.
On September 11, 2011 this was Shoshana Hebshi, a woman who was of Arab descent and therefore
automatically a target. She and two other men were on a flight to Detroit when they were suspected
because of their skin color. Hebshi claims that she was not told of anything nor even why she was
being taken. She was placed in a cell, where she was ordered to strip naked, squat, and cough while an
officer looked at her. Shoshana Hebshi was completely innocent and had done nothing wrong, yet she
was being interrogated and treated as if though she were a terrorist. She was

The Relationship Between The Miracles Of Jesus
Whether or not one is a follower and believer of Jesus Christ, no one can truly deny the extraordinary
impact which His life and His ministry has had on the world. The Son of God, Jesus Christ left the
glory of Heaven to come down to earth as a man, to save the lives of men and women through the call
of His teachings and the example of His life. During His ministry on earth, in obedience to His
Heavenly Father, Jesus used miracles and teachings to glorify Him. The intention of this essay is to
explain the relationship between the teachings of Jesus and the miracles He performed. It is also
hoped, that by reading this essay, the reader will gain a fuller understanding of why Jesus used
miracles and teachings during His ministry, the purpose of these miracles and teachings, and how they
complemented each other.
The teachings of Jesus Christ, recorded in the first four books of the New Testament, have served as a

The United States Health Care
The United States health care system has attempted to bring its health care structure into a position
fitting of the richest nation in the world. Yet, evidence suggests that socioeconomic disparities still
exist, and access to care is still an issue even for citizens who have enrolled in health care plans
(Delgado, 2015). Access to health care should be considered a basic right, a natural right for everyone.
In 2008 T.R. Reid traveled to 5 countries that were among the richest in the world and provided
universal health care access in some fashion. Here we will use Ried s (2008) findings to discuss
distributive justice, vulnerabilities and the human right to health care. Theories of justice have an
important role in how citizens access health care. The the countries presented by T.R. Reid (2008)
generally have applied the distributive theory of justice, where lawmakers have decided how to
distribute health care as a resource among their constituents (Summer, 2014, p. 52). In this case the
lawmakers decided that all citizens should benefit from universal access to health care. Health care
consumes financial resources and will always struggle to provide the highest quality at a rate its
consumers can afford. Taiwan and Japan know this quite well as they struggle with deficits (Reid,
2008, videos #2 and #4). The struggle to balance the budget itself is an example of distributive justice,
as Summers (2014) wrote, ...see the difficulty of the task of distributing the burdens of

Slumdog Millionaire Analysis
Slumdog Millionaire is a film that shows many issues surrounding social issues in the film, important
topics like poverty, abuse, and Child labor all are so important and problems that happens around the
world which makes it a social issue. Child Labor is one of them that happens a lot in the film Slumdog
Millionaire. As a viewer, I watched as the film starts on showing awful living conditions that these
families live in with their children and see how the living style is there, children playing in the water
that their moms clean water. This explains that families are struggling to provide for their children,
meaning that it s hard for the children to get a meal which then they decide to escape because of
horrible living conditions and social government s like the police forcing young innocent children
wandering in the streets looking for a place to sleep and food to eat. This is an example in the film
when Maman a character in the film takes children from the slums pretending to be this good person
and tries to take care of these children by giving them a place to sleep and food to eat, everything is
good while the children had trust Maman everything went well until. He started to use them, he used
his charm and tricks them into working for him. He would pick certain children and would ask them to
sing, then he would blind them, lucky Jamel one of the main character in the film is helped and saved
by his brother who helped Maman with his work. It very sad in the film how happy these kids are
playing in the streets with on shoes or even their own clothes they wear. If you lived in the slums there
no way to get out in one of the scene Jamel walks around the city and bumps into an old friend who
was unfortunately blinded by Maman he is still in the slums hopelessly begging in the streets still
singing. While the boy remembers Jamel, and can feel his presents, he told Jamel that he was lucky to
escape this whole mess, Jamel felt bad and gave him an American one hundred dollar bill. Meaning
that it happens all over the world, Child labor is a huge social issue that happens and continues to
happen. Child Labor affects the living and health of children for instead lack of education where in the

Variola Vs Smallpox Case Study
1. The virus was traveling inside people up and down the railroad line. As people moved, so did
variola. The train station was exporting cases all of India and, in fact, all over the world (Preston, 85).
Exp.: Humans desire constant contact with one another. In this era, people are frequently doing
activities together, especially in a compacted area. Germs are active in those places just as much as
people. For thousands of years variola and smallpox have been spread from human to human, and yet
people still aren t cautious of the places they go, nor are some individuals considerate of one another.
The passage proves that by not being careful, humans have continued the disease s existence like a
tradition passed down from generation to generation.
2. In 1944, the committee and the World Health Assembly voted unanimously to destroy all the stock
of smallpox, and they set a deadline for June 30th, 1995, for the execution... The 1995 deadline past,

Steal The Baudelaire The Art Of Creativity
When individuals ask about creativity, typically they have pre conceived notion of what is creativity.
Studies from Business insider claims that school are trying to limit creativity by forcing classes that
are little to no interest to students. Those who ponder the idea about what is truly creative are
individuals who can be reason with. The art of creativity is one s own perspective; what one accepts as
ludicrous other might believe to be brilliant. A ted talk by Sir Ken Robinson s proven this statement by
using a child who fidgets a lot as an example of how most saw her as ill, but actually she s a talented
dancer who later on became a prodigy in ballet. So, if schools took away her creativity, then she
wouldn t have reached her full potential. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike math, science, history, and physical education classes, you can fully examine your options. The
novels, A series of unfortunate event shows how three rich orphans whose parents were killed by the
antagonist due to their money. Count Olaf, the antagonist in this book series tires tirelessly to steal the
Baudelaire children s fortune. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny have studied in every subject imaginable due
to their parents status, but they have never taken a course in creativity. If they had, life threatening
situation like being trapped in a hospital, or trying to escape from a slumbering wouldn t be as
challenging. The Baudelaire children are a prime example of how endless classes can all be useless if
your ability to adapt are adequate. If they even spend a fraction of their studying time for a creative
class, then their lives wouldn t always be in danger and fending for themselves in reality would be
easier. When Count Olaf trapped them inside a burning hospital, voilet didn t notice and came up with
a plan last second that almost costed her sibling their lives. If they ve been taught that a creative class,
violet wouldn t have hesitated and her sibling would not have to risk their lives while escaping.
Additionally, when the Baudelaire were trying to decipher a code from their friends, about where they
are being kept prisoner when they ve been captured by Count Olaf, if they had taken a class on
creativity then the code would of been a simple to them due to how its just basically a riddle.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that they ve never had any prior knowledge of expanding their mind
beyond: memorizing date for a class, remembering formulas, or learning names, failure is inevitable.
When the Baudelaire parents were alive, like the rest of society that overlook the benefits of a class
that truly can teach you more than simple education. It would expand thinking to

In May 1946 General Lucius D. Clay, the American commandant, ordered an end to the

western zone were then focused on helping the German economy to recover.
Germans in the Soviet zone were finding their lives being rearranged by others. The Soviets had taken

began to rearrange the thinking of the East Germans telling them they were not Hitler s followers but

East Germans who joined started going to weekly meetings, for many years they had been told that the

The Iraq And Iran War
The Iraq and Iran war in 1980 through 1988 started on September 22, 1980, which resulted in an 8
year war, 500,000 casualties, $600 billion debt accumulated, and many more factors. The Iraq and Iran
war strained Iraq s political, and social life. Also put Iraq s economy into severe conditions. The 1980,
8 year war between Iraq and Iran was fueled by many factors including border disputes (geographical
and economical), and Iraq s new dictator Saddam Hussein (political). Saddam Hussein feared that the
new Iranian leadership would threaten Iraq s Sunni Shia, and the minimal access to the Persian Gulf.
The war was multifaceted and had many religious schisms, political differences, border disputes,
ethnic disputes and a very personal fight between Saddam Hussein and Ayatollah Khomeini. Iraq
launched the war in effort to strengthen the rising power in Iraq, and to replace Iran as the dominant
Persian Gulf State. The most important factor to this war was the fight over the Shatt al Arab
waterway. The fight over the waterway goes all the way back into the 7th century. Having said that,
Iraq s leader, Saddam Hussein had large aspirations which included expanding his country, and

The Epic Of Gilgamesh And The Odyssey
The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Odysseus both are poems that have since early times been viewed as
stories that teach the reader valuable life lessons, almost like a self help book in today s society. They
both teach a lot of the same general lessons but there are some key similarities and differences
throughout both works. Such as perseverance, and the inevitability of death are both lessons that are
taught in each poem but they are presented to the reader through different interpretations. In the Epic
of Gilgamesh and The Odyssey there are two main characters both viewed as heroic figures in which
the develop a greater knowledge of human mankind and immorality. Both the Epic of Gilgamesh and
the Odyssey teach valuable lessons such as the pitfalls of temptation. Throughout both of these poems
Odysseus and Gilgamesh are faced with overwhelming temptations. Odysseus is faced with the
temptation of women throwing their selves at him, he also faces temptation of riches. But one of the
major temptations we see in the Odyssey is the Sirens, he wants to hear their song so he ties himself to
the mass. We see a major lesson when Odysseus and his crew are on the way home from war after
nine days on the rough sea and arrive at the isle of lotus eaters. This confrontation provides Odysseus
and his men the first of their challenges. However this is not a physical threat to him or his men but it

Animal s Ability Foraging Theory
Introduction
Within certain environments such as casinos or betting houses, it is not uncommon to see individuals
choose sub optimally, meaning individuals will often choose options that offer a high reinforcement
outcome but with a lower probability of it occurring than a safer choice that would offer less
reinforcement but more reliably. In animals, it would be expected not to see this behaviour, for
instance, optimal foraging theory (Pyke, 1984) argues that an animal s ability forage ultimately effects
there overall evolutionary fitness in terms of ability to survive and the ability for the genes to be
passed on. Therefore, choosing risky behaviour would ultimately be a deficit to their survival.
However rather Paradoxically, animals do indulge in very similar gambling behaviours to that seen in
humans (Stagner Zentall, 2010).
Gipson, Alessandri, Miller, and Zentall (2009)was able to show this phenomenon to which they
provided pigeons with two alternative keys a 50% discriminative chain, meaning it had two light that
represented reinforcement or no reinforcement. A secondly a key that provided food 75%
reinforcement on a non discriminatory chain, meaning that it had a single contingency. what they
found was that pigeons would choose the 50% alternative as opposed to the 75% chain despite it
providing far more food Stagner and Zentall (2010) at a better rate. Implying that gambling
behaviours are visible in animals. The Procedure is where pigeons are provided with the

The Massacre Of Israeli Delegates At The Summer Munich...
The events of the past have a way of transforming themselves over time. Something that occurred
mere minutes ago can evolve over the next few hours, and an event that seemed so straight forward
many years past finds itself a new meaning within the greater context of the period. The same concept
applies to a specific event a mere 45 years ago, namely the massacre of Israeli delegates at the summer
Munich Olympics of 1972.
This event is now portrayed in standard textbooks as being part of a larger event of the time period,
one of the lingering effects of the Jordanian Civil War of 1971, an event that has been dubbed Black
September in the history books. As a result of the efforts of the Jordanians placed against various
Palestinian groups during the war, the Fatah, a militant Palestinian group and PFLP, another radical
group, jointly created a terror group named after the conflict. The Black September Organization
attempted to force revenge on both the Jordanian authority and the Israelis, who had occupied their
lands in Palestine. The organization became known to assassinate Israelis abroad in an act of revenge
(Smith).
However, at the time of the Olympics, the world s reaction was not as cut and dry as it is today. In
both the political and public worlds, the attitude was one of shock and horror. The Secretary General
of the United Nations said that while the event was, on its own, one that was terrible, it was made
worse by infringing on the idea that the Olympic Games

Kalantzis (2010) emphasise how technology has transformed pedagogy in learning environments.
Learning is becoming increasingly ubiquitous and students are being encouraged to be a part of many
online learning modules. The program I undertook was smart science module known as The Superbug
Challenge . This module s intention was to teach students on how to develop science inquiry skills.
Science inquiry skills means that scientific practices are established. Some of these practices include:
asking questions, creating and carrying out investigations, analysing and interpreting data and
constructing explanations that show a conceptual understating of ... Show more content on

This could have been achieved in a number of ways. Not all students building their bacteria go down
the same pathway to kill the host. Students could use different ways to test out their hypothesis,
essentially demonstrating critical scientific inquiry skills (Wilcox, 2015) such as gathering relevant
data to test the hypothesis chosen.
The way I chose to kill the host was to use prior knowledge and knowledge built up from the previous
modules to gather as much information to allow me to predict the result of the hypothesis. The
students learn about antibiotic resistance, natural selection and a real life application example. There
are questions following the content. The hypothesis reads: If bacteria survive one application of an
antibiotic then it will survive another application of the same antibiotic. The bacteria illustrated below
(figure 1) identifies the characteristics chosen from the acquisition of knowledge from the modules
prior to this screen. For example, I added phagocyte slowing and killer toxin and a trait that improves
the environment by hurting the host. These traits were added as prior knowledge and information from
the modules contributed to choosing these. This is what the students will end up creating after learning
about the most favorable characteristics the superbug needs. They can then view the data and see how
many times the bacteria survive an application of antibiotics (Figure 2). Students can also compare
how mutated bacteria go against each other (Figure 3) teaching them how to analyse and interpret data
from their observations. For example, the red line shows it was the most resistant to the antibiotic,
lasting the longest. The next three screenshots illustrate

Examine Why Multinational Corporations Seek to Transfer...
The HRM policy of a firm is looked as a most important strength which needs to be taken care of all
the time to have a competitive advantage within the industry they operating in. Multinational
corporations (MNCs) seek to transfer their home country human resource management (HRM)
practices to their overseas subsidiary as to them it is just another approach towards globalisation. It
can be an element of success for MNCs if they manage to transfer these HRM practices across their
subsidiaries in an effective manner. An effective transition of these policies depends on the
organisational, cultural, social and relational factors (Bartlett amp; Ghoshal 1998; Evans, Pucik amp;
Barsoux 2002; Poedenphant 2002). The transition of these policies ... Show more content on

The whole procedure of international strategy is from adopting the policies implemented from the
parent company to the enhancement of the competencies developed at the subsidiary, which will
complement the organization on the whole.
International experience is also one of the factors that push a MNC to implement the home country
HRM policies across their subsidiaries. It depends on how long a MNC has been active in their
international operations that impact the nature of their decision while implementing HR policies
across their subsidiaries. Having a lack of international experience, a MNC will make their
subsidiaries adopt their home country policies (The effect of corporate level organisational factors on
the transfer of human resource management practices: European and US MNCs and their Greek
subsidiaries, Barbara Myloni,July 2006). A MNC with more international experience is less likely to
adapt their home country policies as the more a firm gains international experience, the less dominant
their home country HR policies become.
Looking from the dependency theory s point of view, the need for control also pushes a MNC to
implement their home based policies. The stronger the need is, the more the necessity of integrating
these policies will grow, and hence there is a probability that the HR practice will resemble the home
country practices. The more dependent a subsidiary is to their parent, the more the firm will try

  • 2. The Session Initiation Protocol Sip The Session Initiation Protocol SIP is responsible for signaling and controlling communication over the internet. The public switch telephone network is what can connect two telephone servers and allow them to connect with one another. In its birthing years, the PSTN was very simply operated. This network could connect two telephones to allow conversations from homes to businesses by telephone lines. As technology increased private branch exchanges were created. The PBE helped the capability of increasing telephone lines to multiple different destinations. Although the advancement on technology is extremely helpful to those who conduct international business affairs, it also opens the door for many protocol vulnerabilities. As with any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This type of communication is widely used across the United States and other countries for both business and personal usage, because it is among the simplest. Call setup is the way that two telephones can recognize one another and share information via those two lines. This means that SIP understands call setup is the main application layer. The act of using voIP over the internet opens the window for many internet attacks and security and protocol issues. Protocol vulnerabilities include numerous attacks all at once, security vulnerabilities, and attacks exploiting private and crucial information. VoIP is a freely opened environment, therefore, there is a large window of opportunity to the hacking world. What this means is that the internet is easily assessable to a multitude of people, some with good intent and some with malicious intent. Because this is made to be so easily accessed, it is easy for a person to act in a criminal manor and disrupt the flow of private conversations. Maddox DeVry University April 21, 2013 Role of Women in the Paleolithic and Modern Period * Women of the Paleolithic and Modern periods both have role models that have different meanings such as their role in society and their body image; however the way the males have treated these women showed little respect. During the Paleolithic period a sculpture was carved from using simple carving tools to create a masterpiece that is known today as the Venus of Willendorf. The Venus of Willendorf has suggested to archeologists that the sculpture was to have been an image of fertility, which is how their existence survived for so many years. In, 1992 President Barbie was created which led the way for the feminist that shape the future political leaders (Zaslow amp;Schoenberg, 2012). The United States had the first female run for office in 2008, only 16 years after President Barbie was introduced to the young women of America. This is only the beginning of what the women of today s society are going to do as a political leader. Venus of Willendorf was a role model for the perfect female form for her obesity; however today women have strived to have the Barbie look. In the, Stone Age fat was beautiful because it meant vitality and fertility (Paige, 2004, p. 4). There were many different body shapes of woman from the Paleolithic period, but there is only one that really stood out and served as a role model for their village. Venus of Willendorf is sculpted in a way that clearly shows her obesity and why she is the role model for the Paleolithic period. She was sculpted with a large stomach that overhangs a fat roll that extends around the middle, a flat butt and large thighs that are pressed together on her knees. This is one of the earliest signs of obesity in women and they still struggle with this in the modern society. In today s society everyone has imagined to have that perfect body. However, much of the public attention on Title IX and athletics and the intense controversy surrounding Title IX came from the backlash against women athletics. Since manumission, the concept of race has evolved through the meaning societies have given it. While the idea of race is merely conceptual it has significant social and political effects. More specifically, through racial politics, these countries have been able to incorporate race in their agendas and implement racial politics in their laws and policies in such a way that perpetuates racial ideologies. One of the methods used to understand the role of racial politics and its effect on racial ideologies and vice versa is the race cycle model. The purpose of the race cycle model is to demonstrate how racial ideologies are improved, worsened, or maintained, but fails to explain how the cycle can lead to multiple, asymmetrical outcomes as depicted by the racial politics of Haiti and the responses of other Latin American and the United States following the Haitian Revolution. The race cycle model begins with what Sawyer (2006) calls the old equilibrium. This old equilibrium represents the status quo surrounding the racial politics and ideologies in a state. • 21. Analysis Of 320 By Emily Dickinson 320 Emily Dickinson wrote 320 in a form in a form that is not traditional. It is written in a closed sense given it is written quatrains that frequently rhyme, but it does not fall into a traditional pattern. Dickinson generally follows the pattern of writing the first and third lines of each stanza in iambic tetrameter and the second and fourth lines in iambic trimeter. Other times, she uses Trochees in random times making the form sound choppy. For example, in the first stanza she uses the trochee certain and winter . Both of these create a rough sentence. The poem goes into pause at many times throughout the poem, thus bringing out the dissatisfaction and difficult time the poem is describing. There is no way to tell who is speaking in this poem. Dickinson generally wrote as if the narrator was somebody parallel or close to herself; however, in 320 there are no signs of if it is Dickinson or one of her other popular characters. The narrator seems to be speaking as if they are part of a group, as the only pronouns mentioned are us and we . This us could be up for interpretation; it could be a small group experiencing death or even the entire human population as a whole and their view of God. Dickinson uses strong imagery in the first stanza. The reader imagines the booming sounds of large cathedral organs and the way the bass of them shakes your soul. She adds a negative connotation to these shakes by stating it oppresses the narrator. Following, Dickinson uses the metaphor of a slant of light on a winter afternoon to the opening her internal pain. As the slant of light opens, it is essentially opening up a seal of despair. Nothing external has affected the body; however, the heartbreak from the pain the narrator is dealing with leaves behind marks on her soul. She follows this theme through the entire poem that the slant of light has brought pain upon her. Dickinson starts with a relatively positive tone. When stating There s a certain Slant of light / Winter Afternoons the reader has the visual of a small light shining through on a white surface. This tone quickly changes when it is followed by That oppresses, like the Heft / Of Cathedral Tunes giving off the interpretation of a light that hits ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was also so sure of the fact that British victory was inevitable, which in turn meant that a more limited strategy was wholly adequate. By delaying the process of suppression, the Continental Army gradually gained experience and courage. Washington also learned from his mistakes in the Battle of New York and ignored his aggressive military instincts; he eventually put aside his honor driven character to adopt a new attitude towards his definition of a victory. Though it ran counter to all his instincts, he now realized that his goal was not to win the war but rather not to lose it, and thus he embraced a defensive strategy in the fortress of Harlem Heights. However, before this pivotal moment in history, Howe could have and probably should have listened to Clinton in targeting the Continental Army at King s Bridge. However, Howe wanted his American campaign to be a more measured affair, meaning he could have put an early end to the Continental Army, but chose not to in order to remain civilized and reduce ... • 24. Persuasive Against Racial Profiling Judging a book by its cover is one of the most common yet worst mistakes a person can make. Racial profiling is judging a person by their skin color, and not only does this lead you to false ideas about that person, but also hurts that person you re judging. Shoshana Hebshi was judged; she was targeted because of her Arab background and the way she looked. Due to her experience, she is now filing lawsuits against the federal agencies that accused her and working to stop racial profiling. Racial profiling is wrong and in order bring it to an end, Hebshi shouldn t stop with filing lawsuits against the federal agencies but continue to gain support from similar ideological interest groups as well as congressional support. With support from each part of the Iron Triangle, racial profiling could be put to an end. Imagine being accused, strip searched, scared, alone and trapped in a filthy prison cell all for nothing. On September 11, 2011 this was Shoshana Hebshi, a woman who was of Arab descent and therefore automatically a target. She and two other men were on a flight to Detroit when they were suspected because of their skin color. Hebshi claims that she was not told of anything nor even why she was being taken. • 27. The United States Health Care The United States health care system has attempted to bring its health care structure into a position fitting of the richest nation in the world. Yet, evidence suggests that socioeconomic disparities still exist, and access to care is still an issue even for citizens who have enrolled in health care plans (Delgado, 2015). Access to health care should be considered a basic right, a natural right for everyone. In 2008 T.R. Reid traveled to 5 countries that were among the richest in the world and provided universal health care access in some fashion. Here we will use Ried s (2008) findings to discuss distributive justice, vulnerabilities and the human right to health care. Theories of justice have an important role in how citizens access health care. The the countries presented by T.R. Reid (2008) generally have applied the distributive theory of justice, where lawmakers have decided how to distribute health care as a resource among their constituents (Summer, 2014, p. 52). In this case the lawmakers decided that all citizens should benefit from universal access to health care. Health care consumes financial resources and will always struggle to provide the highest quality at a rate its consumers can afford. Taiwan and Japan know this quite well as they struggle with deficits (Reid, 2008, videos #2 and #4). The struggle to balance the budget itself is an example of distributive justice, as Summers (2014) wrote, ...see the difficulty of the task of distributing the burdens of ... Slumdog Millionaire Analysis Slumdog Millionaire is a film that shows many issues surrounding social issues in the film, important topics like poverty, abuse, and Child labor all are so important and problems that happens around the world which makes it a social issue. Child Labor is one of them that happens a lot in the film Slumdog Millionaire. As a viewer, I watched as the film starts on showing awful living conditions that these families live in with their children and see how the living style is there, children playing in the water that their moms clean water. This explains that families are struggling to provide for their children, meaning that it s hard for the children to get a meal which then they decide to escape because of horrible living conditions and social government s like the police forcing young innocent children wandering in the streets looking for a place to sleep and food to eat. This is an example in the film when Maman a character in the film takes children from the slums pretending to be this good person and tries to take care of these children by giving them a place to sleep and food to eat, everything is good while the children had trust Maman everything went well until. He started to use them, he used his charm and tricks them into working for him. He would pick certain children and would ask them to sing, then he would blind them, lucky Jamel one of the main character in the film is helped and saved by his brother who helped Maman with his work. It very sad in the film how happy these kids are playing in the streets with on shoes or even their own clothes they wear. If you lived in the slums there no way to get out in one of the scene Jamel walks around the city and bumps into an old friend who was unfortunately blinded by Maman he is still in the slums hopelessly begging in the streets still singing. Something that occurred mere minutes ago can evolve over the next few hours, and an event that seemed so straight forward many years past finds itself a new meaning within the greater context of the period. The same concept applies to a specific event a mere 45 years ago, namely the massacre of Israeli delegates at the summer Munich Olympics of 1972. This event is now portrayed in standard textbooks as being part of a larger event of the time period, one of the lingering effects of the Jordanian Civil War of 1971, an event that has been dubbed Black September in the history books. As a result of the efforts of the Jordanians placed against various Palestinian groups during the war, the Fatah, a militant Palestinian group and PFLP, another radical group, jointly created a terror group named after the conflict. The Black September Organization attempted to force revenge on both the Jordanian authority and the Israelis, who had occupied their lands in Palestine. The organization became known to assassinate Israelis abroad in an act of revenge (Smith). However, at the time of the Olympics, the world s reaction was not as cut and dry as it is today. It depends on how long a MNC has been active in their international operations that impact the nature of their decision while implementing HR policies across their subsidiaries. Having a lack of international experience, a MNC will make their subsidiaries adopt their home country policies (The effect of corporate level organisational factors on the transfer of human resource management practices: European and US MNCs and their Greek subsidiaries, Barbara Myloni,July 2006).
