freed African Americans were still faced with many problems. Slavery had taken up most if
their lives and now that they were free with no jobs. Most resorted in being farmers to former
slave owners to make a living. The whites, however, who did not agree with African Americans
being free created black codes. These were designed to force freed blacks to work on plantations.
These codes also denied blacks the right to purchase or even rent land. The Freedmen s Bureau

African Americans jobs, houses, education, land, and anything necessary to start their new lives. By
1879, Benjamin Pap Singleton, a former slave from Tennessee, became known as the leader of the

The Keurig website is a site that mainly focuses to promote their brewer products and sell them
to consumers. They also have many different products to accompany their brewing systems that
they have to offer. This website is indeed helpful and professional since it clearly promotes the
product and allows for easy navigation. It not only lets you shop for the product but also has a
section dedicated to customer service where the audience can view videos about their products.
The navigation is fairly easy to follow and the design makes it easy to read and manipulate. In
order to prove that this website is helpful and professional I will be analyzing the design, content,
usefulness, and how it s organized. When you first go to the home page it has a well developed
and effective design. The colors complement each other and the white text contrasts nicely with
the maroon, black, and mustard, making it easy to read and user friendly. The main navigation
menu is at the top right after their logo and company name. When you go the store option they
have their three main brewing systems and the names of them along with visuals of each system
and products that you can choose for each system. If you already know what brewing system you
are looking for you can also just go to the brewing system tab instead of the store one and find

The child that I chose to do my discussion over is a 15 year old boy with autism. He was the first
one that I connected with my first day at Boshears. He is non verbal, but can mimic words that

This is what they are trying to teach my child right now, but he only knows really simple things
from the picture schedule. I think this is something that should have been started a little while
ago, but this is my teachers first year to have this child, so I m not sure if the other teacher
/teachers he had worked on this program with him. This program teaches children to use pictures
to peel off of a booklet and give to the teacher, or caregiver to show them what it is they want. She
also uses group time to incorporate social interaction amongst all the children in the room.
My teacher seems to think that one of the biggest areas of struggle for this child is that he has
seizures; and when he has one, it puts him to sleep for the rest of the day usually. This makes him
unbale to participate in the group times, and work stations. She said that he can sometimes have up
to three during the school week, so that means that he would be missing three days of learning
and social interaction. There really is not anything that they can do about him sleeping after he has
