Technology has became inventible in the field of education even in line with the development of other fields such as engineering, medicine, defense and aerospace, agriculture, science and the modern era.
The definition of "technology education" is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. Technology is ubiquitous, touching almost every part of our lives, our communities, our homes. using technology in education will help students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.
Technology also changes the way teachers teach, offering educators effective ways to reach different types of learners and assess student understanding through multiple means. It also enhances the relationship between teacher and student. When technology is effectively integrated into subject areas, teachers grow into roles of adviser, content expert, and coach. Technology helps make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun.
Nowadays using technology in the classroom is becoming easier for teachers because students are coming to class with more skills. Whether a teacher requires it or not, most students use technology for their projects. When any teacher brings technology into the classroom, he or she will no longer be the center of attention. The level of refocused attention will, of course, depend on the amount and the type of technology (e.g., mobile device, e-reader, laptop, interactive whiteboard) being brought into the classroom. However, this does not mean that the teacher is no longer essential to the learning process. While students may be surrounded by technology at home, it is dangerous to assume that they know how to use it for learning Moreover, The Internet has many sites that easily lend themselves to classroom integration ,Yet, it still many teachers do not feel comfortable integrate technology in classroom especially, old teachers. I believes that educational system should train teachers how to use technology before they start teaching or even conducting professional development every year in order to adapt with new technology.
There are many benefits of using technology in the classroom, especially as students become increasingly digitally literate. Technology in the classroom enables the use of more interactive educational tools, which allows for a dynamic learning experience that directly benefits students. Another advantage of using technology in the classroom is its flexibility and adaptability to differentiated learning. Technologies such as podcasts and vodcasts, for instance, provide students with the opportunity to learn at their own pace and the freedom to go back and relearn content whenever they want. learners in challenging, interactive and fun
activities for the learners to have a meaningful
teaching-learning experience.
6. 3. IT HELPS IMPROVE THE SKILLS OF THE
LEARNERS
With technology, the classroom is a happier place.
Students are excited about being able to use
technology and therefore are more apt to learn.
Integrating technology into the classroom is
definitely a great way to reach diversity in
learning styles.
This can help them develop their communication,
listening, planning, self-direction, social, global
awareness and problem solving skills that will
be a significant tool for the learners in facing
the real world.
7. 4. TECHNOLOGY PROMOTES COLLABORATION
IN THE CLASSROOM
It gives students the chance to interact with their
classmates more by encouraging collaboration.
Leaners will be able to share their thought,
ideas and opinions and will also be able to work
with other leaners in different locations. Distant
leaners will be able to connect with each other
and learn together.
8. 5. TECHNOLOGY IS CONVENIENT
Instead of carrying lots of textbooks in class,
leaners can just bring their own laptop, tablets
or any other devices they use to store their
notes and projects. Leaners can have access to
digital textbooks that are constantly updated
and often more vivid, helpful, creative, and a lot
cheaper than those old heavy books. The use of
technology can also contribute to a less hassle
learning experience if they are just able to have
knowledge in the proper use of these
technology for learning.
9. Technology in the field of education can be a
powerful tool. As future teachers, we must
equip ourselves with the appropriate
pedagogies for us to be able effectively teach
and impart knowledge to the learners and
transform them into “Holistic Learners” who
will become assets in the society; who will
contribute to the progress and development of
the world.
