A. Traditional Media
Traditional Media are defined as those
mechanisms of mass communication that predate
the Internet and the digital age. The primary
forms of traditional media include television and
radio as well as print newspapers and magazines.
Manipulatives
are physical objects that are used as teaching tools to
engage students in the hands-on learning of mathematics.
They can be used to introduce, practice, or remediate a
concept.
Real Object –
Objects that can be accessed and have
educational value
Things are not necessarily presented in
the classroom, but students can see
directly into the object.
Example of Real Object
Mock-up- provides a mock or “practice” preschool/school
year round. During the school year, a preschool program is run just
like a private preschool. Children who are ready to participate as
part of their comprehensive treatment do so, in preparation to
attend a preschool in the community.
This allows children to learn the transitions, and general activates
and rules that are common to most all preschools. Practicing these
to attending preschool in the community increases the child’s
chances of a successful preschool experience. The social skills
emphasized in preschool (such as listening, waiting, sharing and
turn taking with adult supervision, self control, and beginning
conversation,) are a strong component of the mock preschool.
Model - The term curriculum model refers
to a conceptual framework and
organizational structure for decision making
about educational priorities, administrative
policies, instructional methods, and
evaluation criteria. Although they vary in
their underlying premises, curriculum
models provide well-defined frameworks to
guide program implementation and
evaluation.
