EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
The Students
I am Cristine Joy S. Tabligan , 20 years
of age. I born on October 27, 1995 at
Panalingaan, Rizal, Palawan. I’m a third
year student taking up Bachelor of
Elementary Education at Palawan State
University.

I am Kemraeni M. Parian, 21 years of
age. I was born on April 16, 1994 at
Ipilan, Brooke’s Point, Palawan. Taking
up the course of Bachelor of Elementary
School at Palawan State University.
Educational Technology is the effective use of
technological tools in learning. As a concept it concerns
an array of tools, such as media, machines and
networking hardware, as well as considering underlying
theoretical perspectives for their effective application.
Educational Technology is not restricted to high
technology, also called e-learning, it includes an array of
approaches, components, and delivery methods.
What is Educational
Technology ?
Educational Technology is a “ complex,
integrated process involving people,
procedures, ideas, devices and organization
for analyzing problems and devising,
implementing, evaluating, and managing
solutions to those problems involved in all
aspects of human learning.
(Association for Educational Communications and
Technology, 1977).
Educational Technology “consist of the
designs and environments that engage learners
and reliable techniques or method for engaging
learning such as cognitive learning strategies
and critical thinking skills”
(David H. Jonassen, 1999)
Educational Technology is a field study
which is concerned with the practice of using
educational methods and resources for ultimate
goal of facilitating the learning process.
(Lucido and Borbo, 1977)
Educational Technology 2 is concerned
with “Integrating Technology into
Teaching and Learning.” Specifically this
is focused on introducing, reinforcing,
supplementing and extending knowledge
and skills to learners so that they can
become exemplary users of educational
technology.
Educational Technology has
motivated the students to get
more involved in learning
activities through which they
become more active and
more interested in learning
TECHNOLOGY: BOON OR BANE
It is Boon for it makes our life more
comfortable and organized. Otherwise,
It is also a Bane when people use it in
bad manner or going beyond its
limitations.
Technology is BOON
Nowadays, technology is important in everyday life
because it gives more benefits for us, and makes our
life easier. It depends to us if we use in a good or bad
and also keep in mind on how we puts the technology
to proper use. Like for example of technology includes
social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and
Instagram we can advertise for it’s purposes, and we
can connect with our family, relatives, friends and etc.
By using this sites we can add friends that they know
and they can also share about things that are happening
or updating our statuses. It is very helpful for us to use
technology in a good way.
Technology is a blessing for a
man. With technology there is a
lot that we can do which we could
not do then.
Technology contributes much to
the improvement of teaching-
learning process and the
humanization of life
Using Technological gadgets like cell
phone and laptop we can connect and
communicate to our love ones, family,
friends, relatives and also to someone is
far from us.
It is a good way for both teaching and
learning to motivate and exciting when
engaging with the use of multimedia in
the classroom.
TV is a technological gadget that
help us because it gives more
information about what is happening in
the world. In watching TV we see our
favorite shows and idols. Through it
we lose our fatigue and give joy to
each everyone. This technology is
useful and do not abuse it.
Technology is BANE
It is a poison or cause to destroy life because
using technology we will become a lazy person
and we will become dependent, like for example:
Lazy to do housework
It can destroy relationships
They don’t have time for each other
Too abuse using technology
They are more depend on technology
When not use properly, technology becomes a bane when
students, like for example, we have a library in our school,
there’s so many books in that room, but most of the students
they not research in the library instead they research in the
internet. Through this way technology will abuse and misuse
of the internet will have far reaching unfavourable effects on
life. Allowing the students to surf the internet doesn’t
necessarily mean that all the things that they are going to
discover are good for their mind and studies.
In Education, technology is Bane when:
The learner is made to accept as Gospel truth
information they get from the Internet.
The learner surfs the internet for pornography.
The learner has a uncritical mind on images
floating on televisions and computers that represent
modernity and progress.
When using cell phone, we
spend most of time in the
classroom or in a work place
texting.
We use overuse and abuse TV
or film viewing as strategy to
kill time.
We make use of the internet to
do character assassination of
people whom we hardly like.
It depends upon to us if
we want to destroy our
life or take a benefits
for using technology.
SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO TEACHING
The system approach views the entire
educational program as a system of interrelated
parts. It is an orchestrated learning pattern with
all parts harmoniously integrated into the whole:
the school, the teacher, the students, the
objectives, the media, the materials, and
assessment tools and procedures. Such an
approach integrates the older, more familiar
methods and tools of instruction with the new
ones such as the computer.
The focus of systematic
instructional planning Is the
student.
It tells about the systematic
approach in teaching, which is
the focus is the students.

Select materials, equipments, and
facilities
Assign personal roles
Implement the instruction
Evaluate the outcomes
Refine the process
It is important that student is the
center of teaching-learning process
because I believe that student we
learn more from their teacher because
teacher facilitates learning inside the
classroom that’s why students can
gain more knowledge once they
visualize everything. Through this
way students fully enhance their
learning in a teaching-learning
process.
We believe that the teacher
creates the learning
environment of the learning
process of the students because
the teacher has a big role to
gives students a better learning.
The teachers are responsible in
guiding the learners in the
proper use of technological
devices in the teaching-
learning process
It is needed in Outcome-based Education
because student were the focus of learning
process. The new curriculum was
implemented by now, so give more attention
to the student to reach the goal. The teacher
must be able to show being a model to their
student to be effective teacher. Integration of
technology in education should help promote
actual learning process.
 As tools support knowledge construction:
for representing learners’ ideas,
understandings and beliefs for producing
organized, multimedia knowledge bases by
learners
 As information vehicles for exploring
knowledge to support learning-by-
constructing: for accessing needed
information for comparing perspectives,
beliefs and word views
Educational Technology is taught in school for the
learners to learn and to adapt easily in the new and
modern world of learning. In this subject, students
learn how to use technology in an advance learning
and the best way to integrate.
It is really important on education that
learning is a must. Because learning has a
great impact of student learning. When it
comes inside the classroom, students must
integrate using technology to enhance
their skills and enrich their own
knowledge. It should be able to know the
importance of learning by the student in
their own way to support their educational
needs. Using technology learners learn
from technology and the technology serve
information as a tools of learning.
Roles of Technology in Education
Technology has a big a role in Education because
it:
 Serves as an teaching aid in the teaching-
learning process;
 Gives new information to both teacher and the
learner;
The source of knowledge for every students;
Makes the lesson easier and faster, and;
Provides interest to both learner and teachers.
Technology makes the lesson easier by
giving information for both teacher and
learners. It help us to improve the
teaching-learning process to make it
effectively. Nowadays, the source of
information came from technology for it
has purposes. But technology cannot
replace the teacher because teacher is the
one who has a big role to play in the
classroom to deliverer information and
environment controller. Technology was
integrated in the teaching-learning process

learning easier and more
efficient.

book, Audio-Visual Methods in
teaching.
Designed to “show the
progression of learning
experiences from the concrete to
the abstract.
The cone of experience is a pictorial device use to explain
the interrelationships of the various types of audio-visual
media, as well as their individual “positions” in the
learning process. The cone's utility in selecting
instructional resources and activities is as practical today as
when Dale created it. The cone is based on the
relationships of various educational experiences to reality
(real life), and the bottom level of the cone, "direct
purposeful experiences," represents reality or the closest
things to real, everyday life. The opportunity for a learner
to use a variety or several senses (sight, smell, hearing,
touching, movement) is considered in the cone.

Direct, Purposeful Experiences
The cone experience is a visual
model meant to summarize dale’s
classification system for varied types
of learning experience.
The first level of experience are
direct experiences which facilitates
learning by doing. Beginners usually
need this type of learning experience.
Dramatized Experiences are simulated
experiences such as tableau, role playing,
and using puppets. Like for example;
Earthquake drills may be said to fall
under dramatized experiences. Through
these, students are able to do simulations
of actual experiences which are otherwise
hard to bring inside the classroom.
Demonstration is the next level of
experience. It is usually utilized in
science classes
 Contrived Experiences, meanwhile, are edited
copies of reality such as the globe in the picture.

Field trips allow the students to see first hand
the places and objects that are discussed in the
classroom.
Exhibits such as those we saw at the National
Museum allow us a glimpse of actual artifacts.
The television and motion pictures has aided
educational technology by allowing long-
distance education.
And of course, we shouldn’t forget about still
pictures, visual symbols and verbal symbols.

Students perform tasks to uncover what
is to be learned. New ideas and new
decisions are generated in the learning
process, regardless of the need to move
on and depart from the structured lesson
previously set.

Active listeners who attend to learning
events and generate meaning from this
experiences thereby creating a personal model
of explanation to the new experience in the
context of existing knowledge.
Constructivism
Learners build a personal understanding
through appropriate learning activities and a
good learning environment.

We feel so blessed that I learned a lot from this
subject. Educational Technology is not just about the
things that we used inside the classroom to satisfy our
educational need and desire but it also includes
activities, procedures and processes and also it is not
just about the information or ideas but on how we can
apply what we learned in the real world because
someday, in the field of education, where we are
about to teach, we can use this knowledge and skills
in becoming a better and effective teacher. .
In this subject we are having a group report,
We like that we are having collaborative
activity where these activities focus on what
we learned from them and knowing the
proper way of creating power point
presentation are greatly rely on making
reports and as a future educator. And also we
learned how to use instagram and twitter. We
are applying of what we have learned in the
future. As a future educator, we must know
how to use technology in the field of
education.
As a future educator, we must know how
to use technology, so that we can help the
teacher to easily give chances to the
students that can excel in class by applying
medias/computers in their learning
process. There are instances that student is
actively participating in the class when
they are engage in using technology. In
other words, the technology has a big role
in the field of learning.

As a student, we can say that we are now
in a 21st century learners because we are
now grew up in a digital world. With
technology our life tends to be easy. So,
that we learned that technology equips
the future teacher to become more
effective and efficient in her day to day
work. And also educational technology
can help teachers and students in doing a
PowerPoint Presentation to become it
more interesting.
As a future educator, we must know what
technology is and how to use it. We must know
how to be more creative using technology in a
way that our students will learn more. Through
this way the teacher teach the lesson easier and
easy access to information that students must
understand the lesson taught and discussed.
Technology nowadays, will help us to adapt
and gain more knowledge and also has
something to do in our life. Because anytime,
anywhere both teacher and students can
communicate with each other and students can
learned something even if they’re not in school.
REFLECTION
IN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
I definitely learned a lot in our Educational Technology 1 and 2
that educational technology is very helpful to us but it should not
be abused and also use technology in a good way to have a better
learning. Technology can be difficult but it’s important that we try
to use because nowadays all it’s about technology. As a future
educator. I will apply of what I have learn in the future because it
help us how to become an effective teacher when it comes in a
teaching-learning process. Technology has importance in our life
especially in our studies but we do not always depend on
technology. This course helped me to enhance my knowledge
and skills and now I have a deeper understanding about what
technology advancements can bring into the teaching and
learning process. And also we became aware of the things that I
can do best with technology.
The Educational Technology, teaches the
importance and roles of technology to fully
understand the use of it to us, as a future teacher.
It helps us become more proficiency and
effective teacher when it comes in learning. It
also, enhance and enrich our teaching-learning
process. We must not always depend to
technology because it must be depend on how
we deliver it to be understand by the students
and gain learning from it that can be apply to the
real life situation.

  • 2. The Students I am Cristine Joy S. Tabligan , 20 years of age. I born on October 27, 1995 at Panalingaan, Rizal, Palawan. I’m a third year student taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education at Palawan State University.
  • 3. The Students I am Kemraeni M. Parian, 21 years of age. I was born on April 16, 1994 at Ipilan, Brooke’s Point, Palawan. Taking up the course of Bachelor of Elementary School at Palawan State University.
  • 4. Educational Technology is the effective use of technological tools in learning. As a concept it concerns an array of tools, such as media, machines and networking hardware, as well as considering underlying theoretical perspectives for their effective application. Educational Technology is not restricted to high technology, also called e-learning, it includes an array of approaches, components, and delivery methods.
  • 6. Educational Technology is a “ complex, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices and organization for analyzing problems and devising, implementing, evaluating, and managing solutions to those problems involved in all aspects of human learning. (Association for Educational Communications and Technology, 1977).

Educational Technology “consist of the designs and environments that engage learners and reliable techniques or method for engaging learning such as cognitive learning strategies and critical thinking skills” (David H. Jonassen, 1999) Educational Technology is a field study which is concerned with the practice of using educational methods and resources for ultimate goal of facilitating the learning process. (Lucido and Borbo, 1977)
  • 8. Educational Technology 2 is concerned with “Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning.” Specifically this is focused on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology.

  • 12. TECHNOLOGY: BOON OR BANE It is Boon for it makes our life more comfortable and organized. Otherwise, It is also a Bane when people use it in bad manner or going beyond its limitations.
  • 13. Technology is BOON Nowadays, technology is important in everyday life because it gives more benefits for us, and makes our life easier. It depends to us if we use in a good or bad and also keep in mind on how we puts the technology to proper use. Like for example of technology includes social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram we can advertise for it’s purposes, and we can connect with our family, relatives, friends and etc. By using this sites we can add friends that they know and they can also share about things that are happening or updating our statuses. It is very helpful for us to use technology in a good way.
  • 14. Technology is a blessing for a man. With technology there is a lot that we can do which we could not do then. Technology contributes much to the improvement of teaching- learning process and the humanization of life
  • 15. Using Technological gadgets like cell phone and laptop we can connect and communicate to our love ones, family, friends, relatives and also to someone is far from us. It is a good way for both teaching and learning to motivate and exciting when engaging with the use of multimedia in the classroom.
  • 16. TV is a technological gadget that help us because it gives more information about what is happening in the world. In watching TV we see our favorite shows and idols. Through it we lose our fatigue and give joy to each everyone. This technology is useful and do not abuse it.

Technology is BANE It is a poison or cause to destroy life because using technology we will become a lazy person and we will become dependent, like for example: Lazy to do housework It can destroy relationships They don’t have time for each other Too abuse using technology They are more depend on technology

When not use properly, technology becomes a bane when students, like for example, we have a library in our school, there’s so many books in that room, but most of the students they not research in the library instead they research in the internet. Through this way technology will abuse and misuse of the internet will have far reaching unfavourable effects on life. Allowing the students to surf the internet doesn’t necessarily mean that all the things that they are going to discover are good for their mind and studies.

In Education, technology is Bane when: The learner is made to accept as Gospel truth information they get from the Internet. The learner surfs the internet for pornography. The learner has a uncritical mind on images floating on televisions and computers that represent modernity and progress.
  • 20. When using cell phone, we spend most of time in the classroom or in a work place texting. We use overuse and abuse TV or film viewing as strategy to kill time. We make use of the internet to do character assassination of people whom we hardly like.

  • 23. SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO TEACHING The system approach views the entire educational program as a system of interrelated parts. It is an orchestrated learning pattern with all parts harmoniously integrated into the whole: the school, the teacher, the students, the objectives, the media, the materials, and assessment tools and procedures. Such an approach integrates the older, more familiar methods and tools of instruction with the new ones such as the computer.

It is important that student is the center of teaching-learning process because I believe that student we learn more from their teacher because teacher facilitates learning inside the classroom that’s why students can gain more knowledge once they visualize everything. Through this way students fully enhance their learning in a teaching-learning process.
  • 27. We believe that the teacher creates the learning environment of the learning process of the students because the teacher has a big role to gives students a better learning. The teachers are responsible in guiding the learners in the proper use of technological devices in the teaching- learning process

The teacher must be able to show being a model to their student to be effective teacher. Integration of technology in education should help promote actual learning process.

When it comes inside the classroom, students must integrate using technology to enhance their skills and enrich their own knowledge. It should be able to know the importance of learning by the student in their own way to support their educational needs. Using technology learners learn from technology and the technology serve information as a tools of learning.

The cone is based on the relationships of various educational experiences to reality (real life), and the bottom level of the cone, "direct purposeful experiences," represents reality or the closest things to real, everyday life. The opportunity for a learner to use a variety or several senses (sight, smell, hearing, touching, movement) is considered in the cone.

  • 41. The cone experience is a visual model meant to summarize dale’s classification system for varied types of learning experience. The first level of experience are direct experiences which facilitates learning by doing. Beginners usually need this type of learning experience.
  • 42. Dramatized Experiences are simulated experiences such as tableau, role playing, and using puppets. Like for example; Earthquake drills may be said to fall under dramatized experiences. Through these, students are able to do simulations of actual experiences which are otherwise hard to bring inside the classroom. Demonstration is the next level of experience. It is usually utilized in science classes

Constructivism Learners build a personal understanding through appropriate learning activities and a good learning environment.

Educational Technology is not just about the things that we used inside the classroom to satisfy our educational need and desire but it also includes activities, procedures and processes and also it is not just about the information or ideas but on how we can apply what we learned in the real world because someday, in the field of education, where we are about to teach, we can use this knowledge and skills in becoming a better and effective teacher. .

And also we learned how to use instagram and twitter. We are applying of what we have learned in the future. As a future educator, we must know how to use technology in the field of education.

As a future educator, we must know how to use technology, so that we can help the teacher to easily give chances to the students that can excel in class by applying medias/computers in their learning process. There are instances that student is actively participating in the class when they are engage in using technology. In other words, the technology has a big role in the field of learning.

So, that we learned that technology equips the future teacher to become more effective and efficient in her day to day work. Technology nowadays, will help us to adapt and gain more knowledge and also has something to do in our life. Because anytime, anywhere both teacher and students can communicate with each other and students can learned something even if they’re not in school.

I definitely learned a lot in our Educational Technology 1 and 2 that educational technology is very helpful to us but it should not be abused and also use technology in a good way to have a better learning. Technology can be difficult but it’s important that we try to use because nowadays all it’s about technology. As a future educator. I will apply of what I have learn in the future because it help us how to become an effective teacher when it comes in a teaching-learning process. Technology has importance in our life especially in our studies but we do not always depend on technology. This course helped me to enhance my knowledge and skills and now I have a deeper understanding about what technology advancements can bring into the teaching and learning process. And also we became aware of the things that I can do best with technology.
