INDRAPRASTHA.
• Year of establishment -1450BC.
• Build by- “PANDAVAS”
• The “ INDRAPRASTHA” is referenced in the
Mahabharata.
• Indraprastha as being home to the Pandavas.
• The location of Indraprastha is uncertain.
• “Upindar Singh noticed that Indraprastha was
a significant city in the “Mauryan
period”( based on analyzing of stone carving.)
Qila Rai PiTHORa.
o Year of establishment- 736-1060 AD.
o Build by -TOMARS RAJPUTS.
o Present Location -From Lado Sari to Mehrawli.
o QILA RAI PITHORA ,the first city founded during “10th
century.”
o Qila Pithora was created by “ PRITHVI RAJ CHAUHAN”
Also know as RAI PITHORA.
o Prithavi raj’s ancestors captured “DELHI ” from TOMAR RAJ PUTS.
o TOMAR RAJPUTS Who has been credited for founding Delhi .
o A Tomar ruler created the first know defence work in Delhi called
“LAT KOT”
o LAT KOT later took by Prithavi and extended for his city QUILA RAI
PITHORA.
SIRI FORT
• Year of establishment – CIRCA 1297 -1307 AD.
• Build by - Alauddin Khilji.
• Present Location- Around Shapur Sat, Siri
Fort,Hauz Khas and Green Park
• In Khilji Dynasty “Alauddhin Khilji” is the famous ruler
and his dominance spread in South India.
• He builded the “Third City of Delhi “ SIRI”

• Year of completion -1538 AD.
• Build by -Sheer Shah Suri and Humayun
• Present Location – Purana Qila ( New Delhi.)
• Purana qila – Located in very close proximity
to the shrine of Delhi’s most rev-
ered saint “ Nizam ud Din Auliya”.
 THREE MAIN GATES OF THE FORT.
i. Bara Dwaza ( Big Gate) facing west.
ii. Humayun Gate ( Facing south gate)
iii.Talaqi Gate as know as Forbidden Gate.

“SHAHJAHAN”
• Designed in- old Delhi.
• Remains – Few trace of walls and
few gate, Red fort.

o INDIA GATE
o It is the national monument of India.
o It is one of the largest war memorial in India.
o It is situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was
designed by “ Edwin Lutyen’s. originally known as “ All india
War Memorial .
o CONNAUGHT PLACE
o It was developed as a showpiece of Lutyen’s Delhi featuring
a central business district.
o It is the one of the largest financial ,commercial and
business centers in Delhi.
o It is often abbreviated CP and houses of the headquarters
of several Indian Firms. Inner circle known as “ Rajiv
Chowk.(after the late P.M.)

1 SANSAD BHAVAN.
• designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens andHerbert Baker in
1912- 1913. construction began in 1921.
• The opening ceremony of the Parliament House,called as the central Legislative
Assembly, was performed on 18 Jan 1927 by Lord Iwin.
2. BUILDING.
• The shape of buliding is in circular, which is based on “Ashoka Chakra. Separate
Hall were constructed for the sesson of Sansad bhavan ; the house of parliament
of India, located in NewDelhi. Originally called the “HOUSE of Parliament.”
• It was constructed for theChamber of Priences, theState Council
and the Central Legislature Assembly.
• The building is surrounded by large garden perimeter is fenced off by standstone
railings (jail) modeled after the garden stupa of Sanchi.

• the Central Hall of the parliament is designed to be cicular in shape.
Rastrapati Bhavan.
• President Residence is the official home of the “ President of
Indian”
• It may refers the mansion ( the340-room main building.) that has
the president’s:-

III. guest rooms and officiaies,it may also refers to the entire “130
hectare”(320acr)
• President estate that additionally includes huge presdential
gardenMughal Garden large open space.
• The main place of building was formely know asVicerory House,
• The origional plan was to have Viceroy’s House on the top of “ Raisina Hill”
• On 26jan 1950 when “Rajendra Prasad” became 1st
president of India
and occupied this building, it was renamed as ”Rashtrspsti Bhavan” the
president house.

INDRAPRASTHA. • Year of establishment -1450BC. • Build by- “PANDAVAS” • The “ INDRAPRASTHA” is referenced in the Mahabharata. • Indraprastha as being home to the Pandavas. • The location of Indraprastha is uncertain. • “Upindar Singh noticed that Indraprastha was a significant city in the “Mauryan period”( based on analyzing of stone carving.)

Qila Rai PiTHORa. o Year of establishment- 736-1060 AD. o Build by -TOMARS RAJPUTS. o Present Location -From Lado Sari to Mehrawli. o QILA RAI PITHORA ,the first city founded during “10th century.” o Qila Pithora was created by “ PRITHVI RAJ CHAUHAN” Also know as RAI PITHORA. o Prithavi raj’s ancestors captured “DELHI ” from TOMAR RAJ PUTS. o TOMAR RAJPUTS Who has been credited for founding Delhi . o A Tomar ruler created the first know defence work in Delhi called “LAT KOT” o LAT KOT later took by Prithavi and extended for his city QUILA RAI PITHORA.

(PURANA QILA ) • Year of completion -1538 AD. • Build by -Sheer Shah Suri and Humayun • Present Location – Purana Qila ( New Delhi.) • Purana qila – Located in very close proximity to the shrine of Delhi’s most rev- ered saint “ Nizam ud Din Auliya”.  THREE MAIN GATES OF THE FORT. i. Bara Dwaza ( Big Gate) facing west. ii. Humayun Gate ( Facing south gate) iii.Talaqi Gate as know as Forbidden Gate.

New Delhi Monuments o INDIA GATE o It is the national monument of India. o It is one of the largest war memorial in India. o It is situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by “ Edwin Lutyen’s. originally known as “ All india War Memorial . o CONNAUGHT PLACE o It was developed as a showpiece of Lutyen’s Delhi featuring a central business district. o It is the one of the largest financial ,commercial and business centers in Delhi. o It is often abbreviated CP and houses of the headquarters of several Indian Firms. New Delhi.Sansad Bhavan.  Establish by – 1931  builD by- british EmpirE  prEsEnt location - area between Delhi Ridge, Old Delhi and Ring road. 1 SANSAD BHAVAN. • designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens andHerbert Baker in 1912- 1913. construction began in 1921. • The opening ceremony of the Parliament House,called as the central Legislative Assembly, was performed on 18 Jan 1927 by Lord Iwin. 2. BUILDING. • The shape of buliding is in circular, which is based on “Ashoka Chakra. Separate Hall were constructed for the sesson of Sansad bhavan ; the house of parliament of India, located in NewDelhi. Originally called the “HOUSE of Parliament.” • It was constructed for theChamber of Priences, theState Council and the Central Legislature Assembly. • The building is surrounded by large garden perimeter is fenced off by standstone railings (jail) modeled after the garden stupa of Sanchi. • cEntral hall • the Central Hall of the parliament is designed to be cicular in shape.
