death Humayun came to Delhi. Humayun

8. • SEVENTH CITY SHAHJAHANABAD
Sher Shah Suri died in 1545. Humayun then
came to Delhi in 1555. Shergadh is again
made of Dinapnah. She died seven months
later. Humayun's son, Akbar, built the
capital in Agra. Even during Jahangir and
Shahjahan, Agra was the capital of the
Mughals. But Shah Jahan later turned to
Delhi and laid the foundation of
Shahjahanabad on the Yamuna coast. It
