Seasons In A Midsummer Night s Dream Essay
In A Midsummer Night s Dream by William Shakespeare, the seasons are vital to the development of
several relationships. Seasons are first presented in the title. Each season offers a different attitude.
Summer is known for freedom and romance, where winter in contrast is shown with themes of
bitterness and death. The season of the play and the themes associated with it allow the characters in
the comedy to progress in their romantic relationships. The seasons heavily affect the relationships of
the inhabitants of the magical world. Fairy royalty Titania and Oberon, along with their attendants see
over the magical world. Oberon and Titania, being king and queen, respectively, are in a fight over an
Indian prince. Oberon desires the little ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the natural world there is strife among four lovers. The lovers include a couple, Hermia and
Lysander, a competitor for Hermia s love, Demetrius, and a friend of Hermia and a seeker Demetrius s
love, Helena. The four are affected by the fairies seasonal mix up as well as the fairies interfering with
the lover affairs by using a juice that causes the affected to pursue the next thing... [they] look upon...
with the soul of love (2.1.177, 180, 183). The love potion put on the lovers causes confusion and
conflict among the women. Hermia and Helena argue over the men, who have both been unknowingly
tainted with the love potion. This leads to arguments over their friendship which was once so strong
that the two were two seeming bodies but one heart as well as their physical insecurities (3.2.212).
The women are forcing their angers on to each other both because they are angry at each other and
because of the love potion confusion and the season switch. Thomas C. Foster describes hard wired
traits of winter, which could be the season summer has been confused with by the fairies, as filled with
resentment and dissatisfaction with things life people (186). Towards the end of the comedy, the fight
between Titania and Oberon was solved, causing their negative effects in the physical world to subside
and allow the seasons to stop their dissension (2.1.116). Additionally, the fairies

Comparing The Prophets Of Haggai, Zechariah And Malachi
Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi were the three prophets from the period following the Babylonian
captivity. It was in 538 B. C. when Cyrus king of Persia issued a decree allowing the Jews to return to
Jerusalem and rebuild the temple (NIV Study Bible, 2008: 1418). That period was called Restoration
Period or post exilic period. Haggai was a post captivity prophet when Zerubbabel led the first group
back from Babylon. Together with Zechariah, they were concerned with the rebuilding of the temple
which had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians (Hag. 1 2; Zech. 4:8 NKJV). By
that time people were living comfortably in their paneled houses, his first message was to warn the
people that if they continued to neglect the Lord s house, they could expect nothing but drought. They
obeyed the word of the Lord and began rebuilding the temple (Haggai 1:12 15 NKJV)
Zechariah started his prophecy in 520 B.C., the same year that Haggai ministered but for only three
years. It was in the eighth month of the second year of the Persian king Darius (Zech. 1:1 NKJV). His

prophet Moses with the law and the prophet Elijah with the promise and the very end of the Christian
canon (https://bible.org/book/export/html/6305). Like Haggai, he uses a number of questions to

Strengthening Teeth
These Teeth Strengthening Hacks Will Save Your Pearly Whites!
As adults, a lot of us think that there s not much more that we can do to take care of our teeth than to
brush and floss. However, there s no escaping the aftermath of having brittle teeth. Good thing that
with a few and simple lifestyle changes, adults can strengthen their teeth more.
Aside from good oral hygiene, we can always prevent tooth decay and promote remineralization
through these simple tips.
Your teeth need its dose of fluoride.
Fluoride is a natural element that is known to effectively strengthen the tooth enamel. It works by
remineralizing teeth, making your pearly whites more resistant to decay and the harmful effects of
acid. We can benefit from the wonders ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Foods that contain fluoride can help keep the teeth durable. Stock on green tea packs the next time you
shop for groceries. While green tea is rich in fluoride, it also contains catechin polyphenols that can
help fight tooth decay and gum disease. Red wine and cranberry juices are also polyphenol rich
beverages that effectively battle decay causing bacteria but you have to reconsider their teeth staining
effect before drowning in them. Of course, calcium rich foods, such as cheese, salmon, sardines, and
dark leafy green veggies are power choices for teeth strengthening.
Strong teeth and gums are the key combo.
Strong teeth will be nothing if the gums are not healthy, which is why it is best to focus on both. Aside
from calcium itself, the body needs vitamin D for its bones to absorb the ingested calcium. Another
bone booster, which is vitamin A, also keeps the bones and the teeth strong. Plus, anchor your teeth in
healthy gums by making sure you have enough vitamin C in your system. This keeps the connective
tissues at their tiptop shape.
If you need help in getting enough fluoride that your teeth needs, we can provide you with fluoride
treatments. For more information, dial our number to book an

A History Of Punk Research Paper
As is the Case with its metaphorical brother, heavy metal, punk is a genre of music that is thoroughly
entwined with philosophies. From Johnnies Ramone to Rotten, Spanning across oceans and
throughout various different nations, many disgruntled youth and those tired with an unfair system
have flocked to the then burgeoning culture, allowing for it to grow exponentially into something far
greater. Thus, due to it establishing a firmly anti establishment view, creating an entirely new culture
for an entire generation, and changing the face of music, punk has become one of, if not the most,
prolific genres of music of all time.
Punk has its origins as a form of underground of rock here in the states, while the term punk arose as
an almost derogatory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
( Why A History Of Punk Rock Matters , 1) The ideologies and philosophies are, though quite similar,
are various. For instance, we have the aforementioned established anti establishment sentiment. (
Unpopular Culture , 1) Punk rock is also deeply rooted in nihilism and hedonism, both of which
pertain to the pursuit of self pleasure, though there is often a very communal sense to the culture. As
well, there was a very egalitarian basis for punk, the CBGB being an equal opportunity and very
liberal nightclub, allowing all comers to drink, and all bands to play, no matter who. ( Why A HIstory
Of Punk Rock Matters , 1)
Sadly, for a while in the punk history, punk was a tad homophobic and sexist, though this wasn t
extremely common, and is certainly being stopped by the community. But even the prejudice within
the culture could have helped fuel the creative abilities and frustrations of those prosecuted, giving
them new material to provide raw, angry punk rock, though discrimination is never good. The songs of
punk rock remain to never have a set subject matter, as the topics can range from sexual frustrations,
to race and gender issues, and even problems with our preordained status quo. ( Unpopular Culture ,

Team Tack Shoppe Analysis
I would like to become a part of Team Tack Shoppe because I want to be able to represent a successful
small business. Being a Team Tack Shop ambassador would be an excellent way for me to be able to
connect with more positive, motivated equestrians. I started riding at the age of eight, when my dad
took me to the barn in our neighborhood. I had initially just went to pet the horses, but I ended getting
to ride; and that is where it all started. Soon after I started taking lessons at a local barn. Four years
later I purchased my first pony, Trigger, from my trainer. I worked so hard for the money to buy
Trigger, and I was so proud of him. Sadly I was only able to keep Trigger for about a year before I had
to sell him back to my trainer. I still continued with lessons and rode when I could, but I didn t get to
purchase my next horse until I was twenty. I purchased Talia in January 2015 and trained her myself. I
plan on making her into my competitive jumper and showing her as much as I possibly can. ... Show

who is always there to help. I think having the privilege of caring for my own horses has taught me a
lot about responsibility. Riding has changed my life in the way that it has (in a good way!) become my

riding, but horses in general. I really appreciate all that horses have taught me overall; patience,

The Works of Nathaniel Hawthorne
Nathaniel Hawthorne was an American novelist and short story writer who was born in Salem,
Massachusetts July fourth 1804. When Hawthorne was a young man he served as the editor of the
American Magazine of Useful and Entertaining Knowledge. That job introduced him into the world of
writing and at that point he decided what he wanted to do until the day he died. I do not want to be a
doctor and live by men s diseases, nor a minister to live by their sins, nor a lawyer and live by their
quarrels. So, I don t see that there is anything left for me to be but an author. Hawthorne was found too
dense, too gloomy, and to complex. To overcome these problem people would attempt to view
Hawthorne as a riddler and wry joke who always challenged himself and all authorities. Hawthorne
published several diminutive stories in various publications which he collected in 1873 as Twice Told
Tales. The 1900 s American author Nathaniel Hawthorne s writings were influenced by his guilt
because of his non repentant grandfathers involvement in the Salem witch trials. Hawthorne boarded
with a poet named Thomas Green Fessenden on Hancock Street in Beacon Hill Boston. After his
strategic move to join with this poet he started to get into the flow of producing good books people
wanted to read. When readers started to understand Hawthorne s use of Dante, Spencer, and the Bible
this helped them to better understand Hawthornes imagination.
Hawthorne married Sophia Peabody in 1836

Emi Group Case Study
While conducting the analysis of EMI group s dividend policy, one factor that stood out to us was the
clientele effect. The clientele effect shows us who holds most of our outstanding shares. High tax
bracket individuals would prefer zero to low dividend payout to save on taxes. Low tax bracket
individuals would prefer a low to medium dividend payout, which gives them additional income while
helping them save on taxes. An investing corporation would prefer a higher dividend payout because
if they own a significant amount of shares, say 1 million, the income stream from that dividend would
provide the company with more monetary resources while benefitting from tax exemptions. So before
setting a dividend policy for EMI group, we must first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Teaching Note
Synopsis
This case examines the April 2007 decision of British music company EMI to suspend its annual
dividend as the company struggled to respond to the effect of digital audio distribution on its core
business. The EMI case is intended to serve as an engaging introduction to corporate financial policy
and themes in managing the right side of the balance sheet. The case contrasts EMI s storied success
with artists such as the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, and Norah Jones with its recent inability
to succeed in financial markets. In light of takeover threats and restructuring costs, EMI s CFO Martin
Stewart must recommend EMI s dividend policy.
Objectives
The case serves to accomplish the following teaching objectives:
Introduce the topics of financial policy, such as dividend policy and debt policy.
Motivate the tension between investment policy and financial policy with respect to the sources and
uses of cash.
Prompt the Modigliani Miller intuition of financial policy irrelevance and homemade

Maya Lin Vietnam Veterans Memorial Analysis
1. The artist of the memorial, Maya Lin, is an American of Asian descent who is famous for her
sculptures and land art. Her most famous work, the Vietnam Memorial, was chosen in a contest, and
her designs both mesmerized and angered many people. Since them, works and designs she has
created for competitions have been mainly memorials and remembrances based on historical events.
Her works are intended to use the natural texture and geology of the space around the monument to its
advantage in its creation.
2. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, a non profit organization, began collecting private funds and
donations to create a memorial. Over 8 million dollars were raised. A site was picked near the Lincoln

6. The Vietnam War Memorial is considered the best example of site specific art in the contemporary
movement.
7. When Lin won the competition for the designing of the monument, a lot of sceptics managed to
successfully take apart her design when she unveiled it. Some critics claimed it looked like a scar; an
embarrassment for United States (as it was moving along with the hill it was created on, and therefore
looked hiding), while others saw something that was trying to hide from the spotlight. Somehow,
some critics saw Lin s Chinese heritage as an issue for this design this work (but how one can make a
successful argument for this theory is beyond me). Nonetheless, the project continued and the
monument was erected, along with other sculptures. Lin had to negotiate with the creators of this work
and allow monumental sculptures to be produced. However, she was worried that these sculptures
would take away attention from the monument she designed, so she negotiated that the two
monuments be kept relatively separate (there was also a Women s Memorial for the work that women
conducted during the war). The meaning and appreciation for this work definitely managed to gain
many followers, as this work become more appreciated.

The Problem Of The Food Industry
As you pick up that bag of chips from the store, do you ever think about what the food industry has
done to ensure that you get addicted to those chips to the point where you can t put them down? A
very popular brand of chips is Lays. They like to sell their brand by saying You can t eat just one. The
sad thing about this is that it s true, they are not lying. Now, did Lays actually believe it, or were they
just trying to say something catchy that people could remember? You aren t just getting addicted to the
chips, you re getting addicted to the sugar, fat, and salt put in them. Going behind our backs, the food
industry is tricking our brains so that we constantly buy their food. A NY times article came out with a
statistic that I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consume, consume, consume is what our bodies will be telling us, constantly feeling like we haven t
had enough when in reality, we have. These food cravings, in a lot of ways can be similar to drugs.
Like drugs, you will constantly want more, and when you quit that certain substance you will start to
feel withdrawals. Although the effect is not as severe as drug withdrawal. If you eat large amounts of a
food a day, your body will get used to it and even if you aren t hungry, your body will be telling you
that you are. A NY Times article wrote this, The mathematical model maps out the ingredients to the
sensory perceptions these ingredients create, he told me, so I can just dial a new product. This is the
engineering approach. The he that NY Times is talking to is Howard Moskowitz. He is a graduate
from Harvard University with a Ph.D in experimental psychology. Moskowitz, along with many
others will optimize the food to our systems liking. These people are game changers in this field. Feel,
touch, taste, sip, smell, and swirl whatever product might be given. They will spend hours in a room to
do what? To make sure we get hooked. They will make sure that what they are giving us is addictive
to our system. Yale News came out with an article that did not surprise me a bit. It said,

Using Windows And Osx ( Apple )
Introduction
In this report I will be writing about the key components which are needed for any computer to be able
to run and work. I will be writing about them in detail to show what they do and how they help make
the computer work. I am also going to go over some extra components which can be added to make
them run better and quicker. Along with the components, I am going to talk about what an operating
system is and why it is needed. To go into more depth with operating systems I am going to compare
features of Windows and OSX (Apple).
Computer Components

in charge of handling every instruction that is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ALU is also where all the final processing is happening before it is sent back to the Register for
the computer to use.
The CU is part of the CPU which directs all the processors operations by conducting the input and
output of a computer system. The Control Unit is the middle part between the Register and the ALU,
decoding instructions and sending them to get executed by the ALU.
The Register is a form of local storage space on the CPU which holds all the data which is being
processed. It can usually occupy the top most position of memory, in which it provides high speed
storage space and fast access to that data. (Computer Hope, 2014)
Motherboard
A Motherboard is the key circuit board of the computer and is where all the components are
connected, this includes; CPU, ROM, RAM, expansion slots, PCI Slots, SATA, USB, etc. As you can
see by Figure 2, there are a lot parts which make up a motherboard and can also be added to it. A
Motherboard has a chipset which is a collection of chips and controllers. When a new model of
motherboards are made, they have new updated chipsets which work better than previous chipsets.
The bad thing about this is that some older components may not work with this new chipset and will
have to be replaced with newer parts. (Tech Terms, 2008)

Money, Bond, Returns, And Amortization Schedule
Money, Bond Returns, and Amortization Schedule The flow of funds within financial markets is
stimulated by the money, bond and mortgage markets. A money market is the trading of highly liquid
financial instruments with a duration of one year or less and includes the trading of Treasury bills.
Furthermore, bonds are long term investments, with a duration greater than 1 year and are issued by
corporations and the U.S. government. In addition, the mortgage market creates loans to finance the
real estate market. Once mortgages are issued on a property, banking institutions securitize the
mortgages and sell them on the secondary market (CSU Global, 2016). Due to the scale of these three
markets they have an extensive impact on the monetary supply and economy.
Treasury Bills Money market securities are short term instruments created by governments and
corporations to obtain short term funding. Treasury bills (T bills) are common instruments used in the
money market and are issued by the U.S. government. Moreover, T bills are used by the government
to refinance maturing debt and to cover budget deficits. The Federal Reserve also uses T bills as a
fundamental technique to implement monetary policy (Saunders Cornett, 2015). If a one purchases a T
bill that is 90 days from maturity, for $9,970 and with a face value of $10,000, the quoted yield is
1.200%, the bond equivalent yield is 1.2201% and the EAR is 1.222% (see Table 1).

Corruption in Kenya
Corruption in Kenya
Introduction
Corruption is a global phenomenon and is not bound to be found only in the developing countries but
also in the developed countries of the world. Corruption crosses boundaries or age and is mentioned in
the religious books of old such as the Bible (Deuteronomy Chapter 16, verses 19), and in Chinese

Russia where the government of Putin went through all methods known to them to corruptly take

In the Kenyan scope, corruption is defined to include benefit which means any gift, loan, fee, reward,
appointment, service, favour, forbearance, promise or other consideration or advantage; corruption
referring to an offence under any of the provisions of sections 39 to 44, 46 and 47; bribery; fraud;
embezzlement or misappropriation of public funds; abuse of office; breach of trust; or an offence
involving dishonesty in connection with any tax, rate or impost levied under any Act or under any
written law relating to the elections of persons to public office.[13]Together with these are the
Economic crimes referring to offences under section 45; or offences involving dishonesty under any
written law providing for the maintenance or protection of the public revenue.[14]
This wide definition of corruption does not cover any corrupt activities committed in a private entity
or fund. This does not however imply that corruption only occurs in the public sector. Instead the
network of corruption extends into executive, judiciary, legislative, civil service, private sector down

The Humanities Of Arts Management
It cannot deny that there are more and more new fields in academic education. One of the most
relevant to me is the arts management. After studied arts management at undergraduate school in

The Role Of Birt Hogg Dube ( Bhd ) Syndrome
The Role of Folliculin in Amino Acid Sensing
Specific Aims
Birt Hogg Dubé (BHD) syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant condition that s characterized by the
development of benign skin tumors and lung cysts. Moreover, these manifestations increase patients
risk to develop renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and/or pneumothorax. Germline mutations in the
Folliculin (FLCN) gene are responsible for the onset of BHD, resulting in its loss of function.
Furthermore, BHD clinical hallmarks are similar to the clinical manifestation caused by mutations in
tumor suppressor, TSC1/2, such as: facial hamartomas and RCC. Although FLCN is predicted to be a
tumor suppressor, the exact function of FLCN still remains unknown.
FLCN expression is conserved throughout the eukaryotic system and is known to have binding
partners, folliculin interacting proteins (FNIP) 1 and 2. FNIP1/2 interacts with AMP activated protein
kinase (AMPK), a direct energy sensor and negative regulator of mTOR, suggesting FLCN s role in
AMPK and TOR signaling. Moreover, mammalian cells with reduced expression of FLCN resulted in
concomitant reduction of TORC1 activity, strengthening FLCN s probable role in TOR signaling.
Target of rapamycin (TOR) is a major signaling complex that coordinates intracellular inputs with
cellular growth. TOR is composed of two complexes, namely TORC1 is the master regulator
coordinating amino acid availability to anabolic processes required for cell growth and maintenance.

thin hairs and ears help them stay cool. Another way that they stay cool is that their hides become
more permeable in the heat. Scientists has performed research on 13 elephants (African and Asian),
they measure the release of heat and moisture. What they have found was that their skin opens up at
air temperatures as low at 10°C to 12°C, this is what allows them to perspire. Elephants are different

dreams, no matter the consequences or struggles. This is a valuable lesson to be aware of and to
follow in today s harsh society, particularly with the new rise of evil gossiping and criticism. Ariel is
also pictured as a real life hero when she risks her own safety and life to save Prince Eric, a stranger
she merely just meet and gawked over, from a shipwreck. Not only did she risk her life and safety, but
she also knew that her father would not approve of this and be awfully angry. Unlike general
mermaids, Ariel was brave and caring, so she was willing to risk her life and safety for a stranger, and
a human, their enemy at that. This inspires others to always be kind and to help those in need, no
matter the circumstances, because you never know when you may be in their footsteps. For example,
in the end of this motion picture, Eric returns the favor by risking his life to save Ariel from the evil
and now ginormous Ursula. This is an example of how good things come in return to those who
remain caring and help others. Overall, Ariel is an inspiring character to follow or swim in her tail
fins. She inspires others to follow their dreams, no matter the

Tracheaes Research Paper
Insects transport gases throughout their bodies through a system of branching tubes called tracheae
which then branch off into tiny fluid lined tubes called tracheoles. Gases, oxygen and carbon dioxide,
enter and exit the tracheae through paired openings called spiracles. These spiracles have filtering
devices such as fine hairs, which prevent tiny particles from clogging the gas exchange system.
Spiracles also consist of valves that control the degree to which the spiracles are open.
The gases pass through the tracheae and the tracheoles, which are permeable to both fluid and
respiratory gases. These respiratory gases dissolve into this fluid and then diffuse inwards and
outwards of the respiring tissues down their concentration gradient. ... Show more content on

Generally, fish are ectothermic and have a streamlined body to swim rapidly. Fish usually consist of
scales that surround their body, one or two dorsal fins, a tail fin and an anal fin, two sets of paired fins
and jaws. Many different kinds of fish live in a freshwater, aquatic habitat such as lakes, rivers and the
ocean. The water that fish live in has a low concentration of oxygen and is more viscous than air. The
amount of dissolved oxygen in a volume of water is much less than in the same volume of air. Air is
21% oxygen but in water, dissolved oxygen is about 1% by volume. Considering this, fish must have
an efficient gas exchange membrane to live. (discuss this

Vlad The Impaler Facts
His reign was short lived and later that year during another battle against the Turks, Vlad and a small
band of men were ambushed and Vlad was killed. Little else is known about Vlad s death except that
the Turks decapitated him. His head was sent to the Sultan who displayed it on a stake to prove that
the Impaler was finally dead. Vlad is remembered best for his vicious actions but there are some
differences in the way people view him. There are several stories, which some sources take more
serious than others, that list some of the horrendous acts that Vlad committed. In one, a boyar
complained of the stench of the impaled so Vlad had him impaled on a stake higher than all the others

His eyebrows were massive almost meeting over the nose, and with bushy hair that seemed to curl in
its own profusion. The mouth, so far as I could see it under the heavy moustache, was fixed and rather
cruel looking, with peculiarly sharp white teeth. These protruded over the lips, whose remarkable
ruddiness showed astonishing vitality in a man of his years. For the rest, his ears were pale and the
tops extremely pointed. The chin was broad and strong, and the cheeks firm though thin. The general
effect was one of extraordinary pallor. (Stoker)
Parts of this description may fit what is projected in ones mind when picturing the count, but other
parts are quite different. For example the pointy teeth, red lips, and pale skin are expected. However,
the Dracula in the movies is not often sporting a thick moustache. As the book continues, the count
begins to frighten Jonathan. Dracula is always absent during the day, and once while Jonathan was
shaving Dracula came in and startled him resulting in a cut on Jonathan s cheek. At the sight of the
blood Dracula attacked him only stopping when he saw the crucifix hanging on his neck. Strange
events continue to occur throughout the book. Jonathan finds Dracula in a box during the day either
asleep or dead. Three women try to drink Jonathan s blood but Dracula gives them a baby instead.
Then, the next day a woman comes to the castle wailing for her baby and gets eaten by wolves.

Effects Of Poverty On Middle Childhood Development
Poverty can have a strong influence on various kinds of development throughout middle childhood. It
can alter socioemotional development, cognitive development, and physical health. (Evans, 2013).
Parenting practices, neighborhoods, and overall environment play a significant role regarding to the
emotional and physical health during development in middle childhood. Disruption with physical and
emotional health could potentially cause harm to the child. In this essay, I will explain how poverty
affects children throughout development and the different consequences that can occur. I will also
discuss the many different factors that contribute to poverty.
I have found that environment can have a rather serious effect on a person s emotional and physical
growth. Not only that, but children can show signs of developmental issues through academics as
well. All of these issues have been looked at and researched by many different scholars. There are
various data and evidence supporting the fact that poverty has a harsh impact on middle childhood
development. Within the past 20 years poverty rates have risen among children of the United States.
According to Duncan and Brooks Gunn, Poverty rates among U.S. children are one third higher than
they were two decades ago and 1.5 to 4 times as high as the rates for children in Canada and Western
Europe (Rainwater and Smeeding 1995). Rising poverty rates can negatively impact the United States
economy. It is something that has

Dissociative Identity Disorder ( Mpd ) Essay
Dissociative identity disorder (DID) or Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) is a mental illness where
an individual expresses multiple personalities that may or may not be aware of each other. In ancient
times, near the middle ages, DID was thought to be due to possession due to the fact mental illnesses
back then had a supernatural theory attached to them. However, the DSM 5 has cleared up that theory
and describes the actual symptoms and theories that appear within an individual that are diagnosed
with DID. Clinicians usually have a difficult time diagnosing dissociative identity disorder due to the
fact that numerous clinicians do not receive enough training about the disorder and there is still some
skeptics today on whether DID actually exists. According to Putnam (1989), dissociative identity
disorder comes with a large amount of symptoms which include depressed moods and mood swings,
different personalities in a person s psyche, amnesia/time loss, anxiety and exhibit phobic like
behavior, substance abuse, hallucinations, delusions, thought disorder, suicidal behaviors and may self
mutilate, may exhibit catatonic behaviors, and may display transsexualism and transvestism behaviors
(p.57 65). The reason for depressive symptoms is because individuals with personalities disorder tend
to demonstrate low self esteem and have a terrible outlook on life. According to Putnam (1989), these
depressive symptoms are the most common in DID

Sonnet XX Of The Fatal Interview By Edna St. Vincent Millay
Love is not a physical thing that can be utilized in the world for it does not provide health, shelter, and

by Edna St. Vincent Millay, the poet tells her readers about her experience of how love is not a
necessity in life. Millay says that even though love does not fulfill a physical need such as thirst or
hunger yet it is worth something more. Overall, love is more paramount than anything for Millay does

Without love, some men are emotionally affected to the point they would rather die than to live
without it. For this reason, Millay tells that love is valuable even though it does not provide the
necessity needed to survive. Millay states that Yet a man is making friends with death / Even as I
speak, for lack of love alone (7 8). Millay is verbally telling her readers that even though love is not a
physical thing that is needed to stay alive, many would prefer to die than not have love. The word yet
from the line gives an effect that emphasizes that love has some values in it. It can be said that to men
that death is much friendlier if one does not have love. Millay is telling us that due to the lack of love
that men do not have, she knows that love is causing men to die. Men are dying due to the lack of
love, causing men to rather die than live without it. The personification that is used is giving
characteristics to death such as a death befriending man. It is suggesting that love is more valuable
than what Millay thought it would be by that men keep dying because they do not have love.
Generally speaking, love is something men would die for even if it isn t a physical thing. Love may
not a physical thing yet it may cause health problems and in addition, gives us a better understanding
of Millay s perspective about love. Millay s use of tone helps

Pharmacy Service Improvement at CVS

Redesign the Pharmacy Service Process at CVS Customer Value Store (CVS) is one of the largest
retail drugstores in the United States. CVS has over 4,000 stores and generated revenue of 24.2 billion
dollars in 2002. CVS grew at the same rate as other major pharmacy chains, but continued to lose
millions of customers due to service issues. These problems led to the implementation of the
Pharmacy Service Initiative (PSI). In observations of various stores, as well as interviews with
employees, 67 major problems were identified. The steps in the service process include drop off, data

Following data entry is the production or fulfillment step. This is the step where pharmacists actually
fill the prescriptions. The major problem encountered in this step is not having sufficient inventory to
fill a prescription. This can be frustrating for the pharmacist and the customer. A possible solution to
this problem is to fill the prescription in part; enough to get the customer started on their medication,
and then when new shipment arrives fill the remaining portion of the prescription. This would require
an entry to the customer s record so that employees know the prescription was only partially filled.
Also in order to implement this process, we would need our suppliers to expedite shipping of our
restock orders. As a market leader, CVS should have no problem in getting its suppliers to work with
them. Perhaps the most critical step in the process occurs after the fulfillment step. This is the quality
assurance step (QA). This is where the pharmacists review the prescription to make sure the correct
medication/dosages have been used in filling the prescription. This step, though time consuming, is
critical, and there are no changes that should be applied to this step because of the extremely low
margin for error. The last step in the process is the pickup. This step is most likely the most frustrating
one for customers, because often when they come to pick up their prescriptions they are not ready yet.

Did you know that over 830,000 Germans died during Operation Barbarossa? Operation Barbarossa

Nazis were not the only ones who suffered colossal losses. The soviets had over 4,000,000 military

oil shortages anymore due to the control of the Baku Oil fields. The strategy that was used was The
Three Prong Assault. One group would head for Leningrad, another would head for Moscow, and
another would attempt to conquer the Baku Oil fields. In the first days of the assault, the Nazis
bombed Soviet airfields, destroying one quarter of their aerial army and large cities. The U.S.S.R.
retaliated by presenting a patriotic speech to motivate Soviets, and mobilizing its troops. In just one
week, the Nazis had accomplished some rather large objectives.
One of the larger events in Operation Barbarossa was the Siege of Leningrad. Army Group North

this city up, and were able to repel the Nazis and hold the city. The Nazis were not going to put up

artillery fire and nonstop attempts to invade the city. The stubborn Russians did not surrender, held

Reasons For Improving The Level Of Commitment And Employee...
Q6. Decisions that need to be made. Right now Currently, there is the need to help improve the level
of commitment and employee motivation among the staff at the radio station. Long term In the long
run, there will be the need to alter the organizational structure to set up clear and efficient lines of

enhancing the working conditions at the radio station by improving the nature of their working
relationship by offering long term contracts. Q7. What I would do if I were Fiske First, I would
immediately engage in efforts to win the support of the Michigan State University administration. To
achieve this, there are two options that may be pursued. First demonstrate enhanced management at
the radio station and thus portray WEAA as a going concern. This would involve adoption of stricter
internal control policies in terms of employee conduct and improving the firm s financial performance
by engaging in more fundraising activities that would inject more capital and thus, improve WEAA
bottom s line. The other option would be to opt for a more strategic partnership with the University by
highlighting the benefits that would accrue to the institution from the radio station. For example,
Michigan State University would benefit from increased publicity as thus attract a higher student
population. This would translate to more revenue in terms of tuition fees. The criteria to be used in

Similarities Between Federalists And Democratic Republicans
The federalists and democratic republicans were two political parties who were against each other.
Even though, both parties believed that what they were doing was best for the nation, they each had
differences. The federalists believed in strong government and was led by George Washington, John
Adams, and Alexander Hamilton. In the other hand, Democratic republicans believed in a smaller
government, debated the political and economic future of the nation, and was led by Thomas Jefferson
and James Madison.
The federalists favored a strong central government because they believed that if the states had too
much power the government wouldn t be able to protect the rights of the citizens. Alexander
Hamilton, leader of the federalists, believed in a loose constitution, taking action on whatever the

Graph Model Essay
In order to understand the structure of a complex social network, three random graph models have
been used [10]. For an overall comparative study, the basic centrality measures, clustering coefficient,
average path length, and the degree distribution were studied for the original network model as well as
for the random graph models. a. RANDOM GRAPH MODELS A random graph is obtained by
starting with a set of n isolated vertices and adding successive edges between them at random [8]. 1.

Closeness centrality of a node is the reciprocal of the sum of its distances to all other nodes. c.
CLUSTERING COEFFICIENT The degree to which nodes in a graph tend to cluster together in
tightly knit groups is given by the clustering coefficient. d. AVERAGE PATH LENGTH It is defined
as the average number of steps along the shortest paths for all possible pairs of network nodes. It is a
measure of the efficiency of information transfer on a network. Most real networks have a very short
average path length leading to the concept of a small world where each one is connected to the other
through a short path. e. DEGREE DISTRIBUTION The degree distribution of a network P(k) is
defined to be the fraction of nodes in the network with degree k. Degree distribution depicts the
difference in the degree of connectivity between all the nodes in a network. It gives the probability
distribution of the node degrees over the network. IV. EXPERIMENTAL SETUP In order to generate

Planning: A budget provides a detailed plan of action for a business over definite period of time.
Detailed plans relating to production, sales, raw material requirements, labour needs, advertising and
sales promotion performance, research and development activities, capital additions etc., are drawn
up. By planning many problems are anticipated long before they arise and solutions can be sought
through careful study. Thus most business emergencies can be avoided by planning. In brief,
budgeting forces the management to think ahead, to anticipate and prepare for the anticipated
conditions.
2. Co ordination: Budgeting aids managers in co ordinating their efforts so that objectives of the
organisation as a whole harmonise with the objectives of its divisions. Effective planning and
organisation contributes a lot in achieving coordination. There should be coordination in the budgets
of various departments. For example, the budget of sales should be in coordination with the budget of
production. Similarly, production budget should be prepared in co ordination with the purchase
budget, and so on.
3. Communication: A budget is a communication device. The approved budget copies are distributed

Deception And Deception In Much Ado About Nothing By...
In Shakespearean drama, a common motif is that of deception and disguise. There are two types of
deception: those that are benign and those that are pernicious. Benign trickery is a less serious form of
trickery. On the other hand, pernicious trickery is more serious and has lasting implications as a result.
In the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, deception features prominently.
Examples of deception in the play include Benedick and Beatrice being tricked into believing they
love one another, everyone being tricked into believing Hero was dead, and Claudio and Don Pedro
being tricked into believing Hero was unfaithful to him, and they contribute to the development of the
play s important themes by highlighting Shakespeare s ideas and opinions that are expressed in the
play. Two important themes in this particular play are that not all trickery is evil and status in a society
is important, which are both highlighted through deception in this play. Shakespeare uses several
examples of deception in the play to develop the play s important themes. First of all, one example of
deception in the play is when Benedick is tricked into believing Beatrice loves him and Beatrice is
tricked into believing Benedick loves her. Claudio, Leonato, and the Prince have a conversation and
Hero and Margaret have another conversation in such manners that Benedick and Beatrice can

The Growth of Japenese Anime
Anime was created by Japan, in the year 1917, which introduced a new, entertaining and exciting
commodity for the Japanese community to experience and witness. Japan had finally experienced its
very own cartoons, which would indulge the Japanese culture that every Japanese citizen is proud of
and admires. However, the early years of Anime wasn t its most successful, in fact it was by far its
worst. Anime could not keep up with the Western cartoons, to the extent that even the Japanese would
prefer Western cartoons over Anime. This proposed a tremendous problem for Anime industries, and
action needed to be taken for Anime to be on the map. The industry was facing competition from
legendary shows such as Batman, Superman, and Disney s very own Mickey Mouse. The hype and
passion around those Western shows was so extreme to the extent that no one can compete. But, if you
can t beat them, join them. Anime started incorporating those Western features into their very own
animations, the characteristics, the plot, the landscape, and the animation, basically everything that
helped, was taken and mixed within the old and unwanted Japanese Animations. This caused the
massive explosion of Anime popularity in the late 1960 s, as Anime no longer only represented a
culture that the Japanese already know, and the West aren t interested in, but has now introduced a
new era of ingenuity and brilliance. So what caused Anime to change over the years, and suddenly

Physical Abuse Essay
Life is complex and there is still an abundance of knowledge we have yet to gather about it. We know
where it originated and what has evolved from it. From the knowledge we gather about the world
around us, we can develop a sense of self and who we are as a person. As soon as we know who we
are, we then begin to acknowledge that there are people around us that we relate closely to by blood or
by choice; family. Our family can be the people we eat with around the dinner table or the people who
remain by our side through the hardships and the good times. The feelings we encompass for these
people around us may be everlasting love, but it can also be animosity. We can appreciate these people
and all they do for us, or despise their every being. As a result of the hatred we may embody toward
someone, we may act out. Maybe by using verbal abuse, and maybe with physical abuse. Some of the
best ways to help children cope with the mental and physical abuse from their childhood would be to
encourage them to discuss the events and assure them it was not their fault, recognize the self
destructive ways they act out as a result and provide support, and inspire them to get more involved in
their school and community, all of which will contribute to them moving past their trauma and easing
back into reality and a better future.
Encouraging children to discuss abusive events and assure them it was not their fault can help them
cope. It was not until months after I met my best friend that

Essay on Implications of Teenage Pregnancy in the United...
According to experts approximately 9 percent of Unite State teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19
become pregnant every year. And even though some studies have shown that the incidence of teenage
pregnancy has generally been in decline since 1991, the causes and effects of underage childbearing
has continued to be a big burden on families, the public and government. Babies having babies is the
simplistic way that some people have described the specter of having a baby while teenager are
unprepared. The United State case study which is the subject of this paper is unique, even though
reflecting the same generic features with teenagers elsewhere in the world. Teenage pregnancy is a
socio economic and moral problem in the United State. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Previously the figures were persistent 71.5% for United States against France s 25.7 in 1992 and
against Germany s 18.8 in 1993. And according to United State National Conference of State
Legislatures, Latina teens have experienced the smallest decline in teenage pregnancy and birth rate
problems during the past few decades. The same organization has stated that teenagers in foster care
and those whose life situations relate to gang affiliation are among the high risk groups for early
pregnancy. Needless to state the facts that gang activities, drug culture, prostitution and abortion go
together and constitute a tangled web of socio economic challenges and moral bankruptcy in which
teenage girls usually get caught up. On the family side of the responsibility burden sharing, the
teenage mom and her own parents, if they decide to be involved, bear more of the unintended
consequences of premature pregnancy. The teenage father, usually 3 to 5 years older than mom is
always an absent role player in most cases. In a large number of cases teenage father is either
unemployed, unwilling to take responsibility or trapped in incarceration. Suffice to note that
disparities in race, socioeconomic or even geo cultural settings determine to what extent teenage
pregnancy may be a problem; so also the teenage mom s family willingness and

berries they re poisonous! But there are a few other things you can do with them. Find out what you

Seeds inside these male produced pods are 75 percent more likely to produce male offspring,
including super male plants which result in all male hybrids, the most productive garden vegetable
cultivars. Toxicity of Asparagus Berries The seed pods of asparagus plants are toxic for humans and
also for dogs and cats, producing an allergic reaction in some individuals. Eating the berries can cause

  • 2. Seasons In A Midsummer Night s Dream Essay In A Midsummer Night s Dream by William Shakespeare, the seasons are vital to the development of several relationships. Seasons are first presented in the title. Each season offers a different attitude. Summer is known for freedom and romance, where winter in contrast is shown with themes of bitterness and death. The season of the play and the themes associated with it allow the characters in the comedy to progress in their romantic relationships. The seasons heavily affect the relationships of the inhabitants of the magical world. Fairy royalty Titania and Oberon, along with their attendants see over the magical world. Hermia and Helena argue over the men, who have both been unknowingly tainted with the love potion. This leads to arguments over their friendship which was once so strong that the two were two seeming bodies but one heart as well as their physical insecurities (3.2.212). The women are forcing their angers on to each other both because they are angry at each other and because of the love potion confusion and the season switch. Thomas C. Foster describes hard wired traits of winter, which could be the season summer has been confused with by the fairies, as filled with resentment and dissatisfaction with things life people (186). Towards the end of the comedy, the fight between Titania and Oberon was solved, causing their negative effects in the physical world to subside and allow the seasons to stop their dissension (2.1.116). C. when Cyrus king of Persia issued a decree allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple (NIV Study Bible, 2008: 1418). That period was called Restoration Period or post exilic period. Haggai was a post captivity prophet when Zerubbabel led the first group back from Babylon. Together with Zechariah, they were concerned with the rebuilding of the temple which had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians (Hag. 1 2; Zech. 4:8 NKJV). By that time people were living comfortably in their paneled houses, his first message was to warn the people that if they continued to neglect the Lord s house, they could expect nothing but drought. Being a Team Tack Shop ambassador would be an excellent way for me to be able to connect with more positive, motivated equestrians. I started riding at the age of eight, when my dad took me to the barn in our neighborhood. I had initially just went to pet the horses, but I ended getting to ride; and that is where it all started. Some critics claimed it looked like a scar; an embarrassment for United States (as it was moving along with the hill it was created on, and therefore looked hiding), while others saw something that was trying to hide from the spotlight. Somehow, some critics saw Lin s Chinese heritage as an issue for this design this work (but how one can make a successful argument for this theory is beyond me). Nonetheless, the project continued and the monument was erected, along with other sculptures. Lin had to negotiate with the creators of this work and allow monumental sculptures to be produced. However, she was worried that these sculptures would take away attention from the monument she designed, so she negotiated that the two monuments be kept relatively separate (there was also a Women s Memorial for the work that women conducted during the war). Money, Bond, Returns, And Amortization Schedule Money, Bond Returns, and Amortization Schedule The flow of funds within financial markets is stimulated by the money, bond and mortgage markets. A money market is the trading of highly liquid financial instruments with a duration of one year or less and includes the trading of Treasury bills. Furthermore, bonds are long term investments, with a duration greater than 1 year and are issued by corporations and the U.S. government. In addition, the mortgage market creates loans to finance the real estate market. Once mortgages are issued on a property, banking institutions securitize the mortgages and sell them on the secondary market (CSU Global, 2016). Due to the scale of these three markets they have an extensive impact on the monetary supply and economy. Treasury Bills Money market securities are short term instruments created by governments and corporations to obtain short term funding. Treasury bills (T bills) are common instruments used in the money market and are issued by the U.S. government. The Role Of Birt Hogg Dube ( Bhd ) Syndrome The Role of Folliculin in Amino Acid Sensing Specific Aims Birt Hogg Dubé (BHD) syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant condition that s characterized by the development of benign skin tumors and lung cysts. Moreover, these manifestations increase patients risk to develop renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and/or pneumothorax. Germline mutations in the Folliculin (FLCN) gene are responsible for the onset of BHD, resulting in its loss of function. Furthermore, BHD clinical hallmarks are similar to the clinical manifestation caused by mutations in tumor suppressor, TSC1/2, such as: facial hamartomas and RCC. Although FLCN is predicted to be a tumor suppressor, the exact function of FLCN still remains unknown. FLCN expression is conserved throughout the eukaryotic system and is known to have binding partners, folliculin interacting proteins (FNIP) 1 and 2. FNIP1/2 interacts with AMP activated protein kinase (AMPK), a direct energy sensor and negative regulator of mTOR, suggesting FLCN s role in AMPK and TOR signaling. Moreover, mammalian cells with reduced expression of FLCN resulted in concomitant reduction of TORC1 activity, strengthening FLCN s probable role in TOR signaling. However, all of these activities and actions were not normal for a mermaid, especially not King Triton s daughter. She inspires others to never conform to society s norms and to always follow your dreams, no matter the consequences or struggles. Ariel is also pictured as a real life hero when she risks her own safety and life to save Prince Eric, a stranger she merely just meet and gawked over, from a shipwreck. The amount of dissolved oxygen in a volume of water is much less than in the same volume of air. Air is 21% oxygen but in water, dissolved oxygen is about 1% by volume. • 21. Vlad The Impaler Facts His reign was short lived and later that year during another battle against the Turks, Vlad and a small band of men were ambushed and Vlad was killed. Little else is known about Vlad s death except that the Turks decapitated him. His head was sent to the Sultan who displayed it on a stake to prove that the Impaler was finally dead. Vlad is remembered best for his vicious actions but there are some differences in the way people view him. There are several stories, which some sources take more serious than others, that list some of the horrendous acts that Vlad committed. It can alter socioemotional development, cognitive development, and physical health. (Evans, 2013). Parenting practices, neighborhoods, and overall environment play a significant role regarding to the emotional and physical health during development in middle childhood. Disruption with physical and emotional health could potentially cause harm to the child. In this essay, I will explain how poverty affects children throughout development and the different consequences that can occur. I will also discuss the many different factors that contribute to poverty. I have found that environment can have a rather serious effect on a person s emotional and physical growth. Not only that, but children can show signs of developmental issues through academics as well. All of these issues have been looked at and researched by many different scholars. There are various data and evidence supporting the fact that poverty has a harsh impact on middle childhood development. Within the past 20 years poverty rates have risen among children of the United States. According to Duncan and Brooks Gunn, Poverty rates among U.S. children are one third higher than they were two decades ago and 1.5 to 4 times as high as the rates for children in Canada and Western Europe (Rainwater and Smeeding 1995). • 23. Dissociative Identity Disorder ( Mpd ) Essay Dissociative identity disorder (DID) or Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) is a mental illness where an individual expresses multiple personalities that may or may not be aware of each other. In ancient times, near the middle ages, DID was thought to be due to possession due to the fact mental illnesses back then had a supernatural theory attached to them. However, the DSM 5 has cleared up that theory and describes the actual symptoms and theories that appear within an individual that are diagnosed with DID. Clinicians usually have a difficult time diagnosing dissociative identity disorder due to the fact that numerous clinicians do not receive enough training about the disorder and there is still some skeptics today on whether DID actually exists. According to Putnam (1989), dissociative identity disorder comes with a large amount of symptoms which include depressed moods and mood swings, different personalities in a person s psyche, amnesia/time loss, anxiety and exhibit phobic like behavior, substance abuse, hallucinations, delusions, thought disorder, suicidal behaviors and may self mutilate, may exhibit catatonic behaviors, and may display transsexualism and transvestism behaviors (p.57 65). Following data entry is the production or fulfillment step. This is the step where pharmacists actually fill the prescriptions. The major problem encountered in this step is not having sufficient inventory to fill a prescription. This can be frustrating for the pharmacist and the customer. A possible solution to this problem is to fill the prescription in part; enough to get the customer started on their medication, and then when new shipment arrives fill the remaining portion of the prescription. This would require an entry to the customer s record so that employees know the prescription was only partially filled. Also in order to implement this process, we would need our suppliers to expedite shipping of our restock orders. As a market leader, CVS should have no problem in getting its suppliers to work with them. Perhaps the most critical step in the process occurs after the fulfillment step. This is the quality assurance step (QA). This is where the pharmacists review the prescription to make sure the correct medication/dosages have been used in filling the prescription. This step, though time consuming, is critical, and there are no changes that should be applied to this step because of the extremely low margin for error. The last step in the process is the pickup. This step is most likely the most frustrating one for customers, because often when they come to pick up their prescriptions they are not ready yet. Much of this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

RANDOM GRAPH MODELS A random graph is obtained by starting with a set of n isolated vertices and adding successive edges between them at random [8]. 1. Closeness centrality of a node is the reciprocal of the sum of its distances to all other nodes. c. CLUSTERING COEFFICIENT The degree to which nodes in a graph tend to cluster together in tightly knit groups is given by the clustering coefficient. d. AVERAGE PATH LENGTH It is defined as the average number of steps along the shortest paths for all possible pairs of network nodes. It is a measure of the efficiency of information transfer on a network. Most real networks have a very short average path length leading to the concept of a small world where each one is connected to the other through a short path. e. DEGREE DISTRIBUTION The degree distribution of a network P(k) is defined to be the fraction of nodes in the network with degree k. Degree distribution depicts the difference in the degree of connectivity between all the nodes in a network. It gives the probability distribution of the node degrees over the network. IV.
