Bat Mitzvah Project
To become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, one must complete community service in order to give back to
the community. When I was twelve years old, I chose an organization that I found interesting and
that I wanted to spread awareness for, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in
Washington D.C.. I felt a personal connection to this organization, and for my Bat Mitzvah
project, I created and sold necklaces, where all the proceeds went to the museum. This project
inspired me and helped me mature from a girl, to a woman. Ever since my Bat Mitzvah project, I
have been making these necklaces in my spare time. Over the years, I donated thousands of dollars
and countless hours of my time to help this important cause. If all students are required to choose

Texas Politics Essay
Chapter 11 of the textbook, Texas Politics , it is primarily about the purpose and structure of the
local governments within the state of Texas. Texas has 254 counties, the most of any state. Each
county is governed by a five member Commissioners Court, which consists of a County Judge
(elected at large) and four Commissioners (elected from single member precincts). The County
Judge has no veto authority over the decisions of the Court, s/he has one vote along with the other
Commissioners. In smaller counties, the County Judge also performs judicial functions, while in
larger counties his/her role is limited to the Court. Elections are held on a partisan basis. Counties

Peace-Weaver In Beowulf
Based on the story, Beowulf by Heaney, the poet had described three types of the women role in
literature are peace weavers, hostess, and monster. First, the female role of the peace weaver in
the epic poem literature is meant to describe the woman who has married off to someone and
brings a peace to her household and the nation. Queen Wealtheow is a wife of King Hrothgar
who was an example of success among the peace weavers. She plays an active role in the society
through words of encouragement to her people to make them hand out the treasure for her heroes.
(Murphy) Therefore, the roles of Queen Wealtheow make her become a peace weaver within both
social and political realms of her life. Even she is a wife, that married to the Frisian king.... Show

Second, the female role of hostess deciphers the relationships in society and also exposes the
prejudices in the poem (Murphy). The poet has mentioned the women s role in this poem through
Queen Wealtheow s character in the mead cup. As a queen, Wealtheow is the most powerful
women, and she also is the most important women in the kingdom. As a queen, Wealtheow is fully
depicted in the Beowulf and the poet has analyzed specifically to connect with her role in the
mead hall as an excellent heart and sure of the speech. According to the authors, The mead cup
was served in order to mark the allegiance of each man in his turn to the king, whose mead hall
they occupied (Edgington). This statement shows how the hostess role of the Queen Wealtheow
was very important. She does all the duties to carry the mead cup in the hall and go around to
offer the drink to the King and the warriors before she greets Beowulf. Besides that, the queen
plays to her role as a woman speaking to all the men in the hall and reminding them with their
families, their king, country, and their obligations in life during the Anglo Saxon

Black Music Influence On American Culture
Represent Many parts of music popular culture was created or directly influenced by Black
music. Through the history of Black musical forms, each style represented a reality of the Black
community, whether regionally or based on the time period and politics. Before enslaved Africans
had the education to write their stories, they were told orally, often set to music. Highlighting the
genius of a people, when there were ideas and stories that were adverse to those in power, Black
peoplewere able to hide their true messages in a song. This tradition never changed, even with
emancipation, reconstruction, civil rights, and black power. Still oppressed in many different ways,
music still captures and retells the reality of life as a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the political unrest of the 1950 s, 60 s and 70 s Civil Rights, anti Vietnam protests, and
emergence of Black Power/Black Revolution ideals, soul music captured a variety of ideologies
and presented them to the masses. Music allowed for a mix of the ideologies to the mass of
Blacks across the nation, without having to formally declare one main ideology as the only one
they subscribed to. Soul then gave birth to funk which allowed more freedom in musical
expression while appropriating religious zeal and traditions and keeping critical political
discourse. Major funk artists like Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament/Funkadelics, and the ever
evolving James Brown provided pro Black messaging with holy ghost inspired concerts that were
really religious meetings. Whether it was the pentecostal services of Sly or the afrocentric sci fi
ideals of George Clinton, a historic sound and tradition that is unapologetically Black happened for

As the decade of the 1970 s came to an end, a new Black music emerged like much of the others
wrapped in social realities of an genuinely Black experience. Rap/Hip Hop bursted on the seams
relating many of the same political messages and ideologies heard decades before. Echoing the
Black Power movement and using the musical culture as a way to rebuild Black communities
constantly under attack, rap brought real life stories of an urban, younger

Persuasive Essay On Feeding Your Newborn
One minute, you re child free, and the next your life is 12 diapers a day, cuddles, cries, coos, and

Implications Of Fiar Cut Adverts And Laser Cut Polipulations
Because each insert contained a different amount of fibers, the fiber mass at each time point was
converted to a percentage of the original fiber mass. As expected, the data shows a decrease in
fiber mass for both scissor cut inserts and laser cut inserts. Overall, the scissor cut inserts had a
greater loss than the inserts cut by the laser. Laser cutting had the greatest effected on the adhesion
of polystyrene to a polystyrene base. Polystyrene fibers were light and thin and often gets attracted
to anything that comes within a centimeter of it. Laser cutting helped contain the fibers on the
insert. From the ten second point on, there was significant difference between the fiber mass
remaining on the inserts (p ≤ 0.0179). After... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our inserts are an integral part of the modular system. Therefore, the fiber coated inserts need to
be reliable. It is in our best interest to make sure the fibers, to which the cells are attached,
adhere to the insert despite the many transitions from Petri dish to analytical device to further
investigation. Laser cutting provides many advantages to cutting inserts. Hundreds of inserts can
be cut in minutes. The reproducibility is inimitable; each piece can be exactly the same size.
The idea that the laser would also fuse the layer of fibers into place would be a considerable
advantage. This data and SEM images support the idea that laser cutting sinters the fibers to the
insert. SEM images show polystyrene fibers melted into the polystyrene perimeter. As the laser
blasts through the polystyrene base, it plows the malleable polymer in both directions
perpendicular to the cut. The result is a raised perimeter around, and a thin connection between,
the inserts. The inserts were imaged at an angle to investigate the interface of fibers and raised
edge. At a 30В° to normal and 300x magnification, the smooth raised border can be seen. The
fibers spread underneath, but where the fibers extend on the underside of the border, there are
bumps. At the very least, we can say the fibers are tucked underneath the polystyrene border, which
would increase the adherence, but further inference would lead us to

Mississippi Casino Gambling
Casino gambling remains a controversial issue, mostly due to personal and religious views on the
negative effects (gambling addictions) it has on society. However, there seems to be very little
controversy relating to the role the casino industry has in the state s economic and tourism
development. The purpose of the paper is to provide a synopsis of the role Mississippis casino
industry has played in the state s economic and tourism industry. The report focuses on three
jurisdictions: Tunica, Greenville, and the Gulf Coast. The report supports my theory that the
Mississippicasino industry unequivocally has a positive impact on the state s economy and tourism

To increase public confidence in the financial planning, many banks and insurance companies
require their staff to take the CFP examination. As for China, Chinese government has opened the
financial market over the years which lead to the changes of the Chinese circumstance frequently.
So financial planners in China are required to receive related education to enhance the public
confident on financial planning. Taking the example of China taxation system, there were several
changes in tax incentive for foreign business and individual income tax. Financial planners in China
should aware these changes and modify their tax planning quickly for their clients.
Interpersonal skills are essential to financial planners. Because they have to collect the data from
their clients to make recommendations to their clients. When collecting data from their clients,
financial planners should show their integrity and competence to convince the clients. It can be
better to set the financial goal for their clients.
Chinese people would not disclose their private information to the stranger easily. It hampers
financial planners to help their clients to pursue their financial goals. Financial planners who serve
for Chinese people should use their interpersonal skills to get close with their clients and collect

Teutonic Knights Historical Analysis
The journal article written by William Urban provided a different perspective in the role played by
the Teutonic Knights during the Baltic crusades. Typically, historical analysis implies that the
Teutonic Knights were ruthless in the elimination and conversion of Baltic pagans to Christianity.
However, Urban s article does not dwell on the brutality of the Knights. Urban alludes to the knights
as policemen. Stating that they were invited to Livonia in an effort to save the crusader state from
internal collapse caused by political infighting among the Germans, Danes, and Slavs. Once the
knights gained control of the political instability within the region, they began a process of
establishing a defensive perimeter along the southern frontier. Urban wrote that Christian Russians
protected the eastern frontier of Livonia from invasion. Therefore, the knights showed little concern
about protecting the eastern border. The creation of a defensive line along the southern border was
an attempt at preventing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, marauding pagans often decimated native tribes who lived beyond the protection
provided by the castle network. Eventually, the knights in an effort to provide protection resettled
the natives behind the castles. The castles were simple in design with the most elaborate being
those of the Teutonic Knights. They typically housed a dozen knights, foot soldiers, mercenaries,
native militiamen, servants, merchants, and priest. The castle builders took advantage of the
topography utilizing natural waterways and land elevations to establish natural defensive borders.
The waterways were a key element to the castles design making surprise attacks virtually
impossible. Most importantly, they allowed for the resupply of men and equipment, and they
provided the knights with a water highway

Nemo constantly fights against all the suppositions about him due to his disability, to both pros

Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to see whether there is a link between middle
school students who are active on social media and cyberbullying. An in depth study will be
performed to see which, if any, outside sources contribute to cyberbullying or being a cybervictim.
Justification of the Study
As the number of teenagers logged into social media accounts increases the number of opportunities
to perpetrate or be the victim of cyberbullying also increases. A few of the main outlets for
cyberbullying are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, instant messenger, or text messages. The
term bullying has been a staple in the English language for centuries, but cyberbullying is a fairly
new term. Roberto, Eden, Savage, Ramos Salazar, and Deiss (2014) reported that 74% of teenagers
have an account on at least one social media site, but all social media site require a minimum age of
13 years old. In reality, 7.5 million Facebook accounts are operated by someone under 13 years old,
and 5 million accounts are operated by a child under the age of 10 (Roberto et al., 2010).
Cyberbullying give a new spin to bullying; therefore, the number of individuals affected by either
type of bullying, especially middle school aged are increasing. Whether it is traditional bullying or
cyberbullying, it cannot be taken lightly due to the consequences. In several cases, students who are
a victim of cyberbullying feel humiliated in school

Argumentative Essay On Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence is a topic within the public media that has existed for decades, but is now
a concern due to the reality of human advancement and innovation in the field of science and
technology. Many people believe that computers will become self aware or sentient and view
humanity as a disposable resource and gain supremacy. Reasoning that research on the
technology should halt and not become more advance. Whereas others believe they will help
catapult research and the economy forward, supporting the operations and innovations the
technology offers. The complicated and divided solutions to the debate aren t obvious, but there
are more benefits to improving artificial intelligence than there is stopping it. Therefore, the
negative effects people believe will occur can be resolved. There are different types of artificial
intelligence that many institutes and companies believe in. However, they all share the same
belief of a self aware, conscious, human like, computer system, the type of AI people fear.
Disregarding that an AI is a computer much like a phone or laptop, one must consider that if
something is sentient like a person or animal, should they be treated like one? And if not, is it
discrimination or racism when it is treated like an item? Slavery treated people based on race or
social status differently, the bottom being slaves. Some might argue that machines don t have a

Summary Of The Liars Of Marie De France
Stories of true love have been told throughout history. In The Lias of Marie de France , translated
by Robert Hannign and Joan Ferrante, Marie tells stories of true love. In the two stories of
Lanval and Yonec, there are many things that point to the love being a figment of the character s
imagination. In both stories, the characters are depressed and lonely. This leads them to make up
someone to love. Both imagined lovers to have many traits that make them seem to real to be
true. Additionally, both characters have some boundary that they cross to meet the lover in their
dream world. In both instances others seem to see the lover, this is most likely a result of the
others knowing the lover is not real. Based on the stories of Lanval and Yonec in The Lias of Marie
de France, true love is only possible through imagination. It was most likely Marie s intent to
depict Lanval s first encounter with his lover as a dream. One way she does this is by not
mentioning the name Lanval s lover. If the lover was real, from their world or not, she would
probably have a name known to Lanval and to others of the lai. Furthermore, the fact that she
must remain a secret also hints at her non existence. His first encounter with the lover is on one
of his ventures off by himself. Marie describes this instance by saying one day mounted his horse
and went off to amuse himself (Marie 106). This is probably Mari trying to point out as Lanval
going out to pleasure himself. Support of this can

Photography And Its Effects On Impressionism
Photography and its Effects on Impressionism Dakota Saunders Rewind roughly back to the
1860 s. Several apprentice painters, namely Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley,
and FrГ©dГ©ric Bazille learned that they did not share the same views of the AcadГ©mie des
Beaux Arts. The Academy believed that mythological and historical scenes for painting was
vastly superior to that of still life and landscape scenes. The AcadГ©mie des Beaux Arts would
run an art show, the Salon de Paris, which was the only way for an artist during that time to gain
prestige, commissions, and of course money. The Salon would only accept paintings which
were in their approved style, which was based on the art of the old masters. Since the art of these
young painters did not conform to the standards put forth by the AcadГ©mie des Beaux Arts,
their art was mostly rejected until Emperor Napoleon III settled to allow the public to judge the
submitted art themselves. The Salon des RefusГ©s was created just for this purpose. The results
of the new Salon were such; While many viewers came only to laugh, the Salon des RefusГ©s
drew attention to the existence of a new tendency in art and attracted more visitors than the regular
Salon. (Denvir, pg. 194). Louis Leroy wrote a disparaging review on Monet s work, Impression,
Sunrise . He suggested that Monet s painting was a sketch, and it could not be called a finished
work. This was where the Impressionists acquired their name. Yet even though their

The Pros And Cons Of Poverty In The Non-Metro Area
Poverty rates among all citizens are highest in the extremely urban and truly rural areas of the
United States. However, poverty rates, as measured by the Department of Agriculture s
Economic Research Service, are higher in non metro areas as compared to metropolitan centers.
The demographics of poverty offer insight to public administrators and policy writers beyond the
demographics of simply rural versus metro areas. For example, in 2016 rural White citizens
were half as likely to live in poverty as either Black or Native American citizens. In addition, a
female head of household in a rural area is nearly eight times as likely to live in poverty as a
married couple. Couple these demographics with the fact that only 46 million citizens live in
nonmetro areas roughly 15% of the national population it is not surprising that rural areas seem
to receive less attention by federally elected officials than urban and suburban areas. At the
county level, poverty as defined by the US government is an immensely rural problem, with the
most remote rural places at the greatest disadvantage. It would seem obvious that where and how
an individual lives would matter in a person s ability to rise above the poverty level. However,
federal policy that addresses poverty is not specific to rural areas or metropolitan areas. Within the
context of all policy, rural areas are unique and policy makers ought to consider this when
addressing legislation to help citizens in these

Hebert Eagle Seven Pounds Analysis
Drawing upon Hebert Eagle, Seven Pounds clearly exhibits the demonstration of blue lighting
throughout the entire film. For instance, near the end of the film, the viewer experiences the
second of Tim s flashbacks of the devastating crash. Ascending the hill in which his car rolled
over, Tim searches for any survivors of the fatal crash. After a few minutes of searching, Tim
discovers his dead wife lying on the cold, hard asphalt. Aware that he remains the only survivor,
Tim, with heaving sobs, slowly falls to his knees and eventually lies with his wife on the ground.
Throughout this entire scene, blue lighting falls on Tim and exhibits the loneliness and
hopelessness that he now feels. Although such an example presents itself near the end of the film, it
is imperative to understand this motif. Throughout the entire film, the lighting on Tim, when shown
alone, is often blue as if recalling the crash sequence. However, when Tim interacts with Emily later
on in the film, Muccino uses yellow lighting to contrast that of the blue and to produce warmth
within the scene, and to show the comfort and stability that Tim feels in Emily s company. Thus,
the masterful application of blue lighting sets the viewer on edge... Show more content on

Should Arg Designers Go For Ensure The Safety Of Body And...
What are the limits?
How far should ARG designers go to ensure the safety of body and mind of their players? What are
the responsible limits of immersion? To what extent do these responsibilities lay with the player
themselves? Consider the implications surrounding the Batman franchise in the context of the Why
So Serious ARG.
In the lead up to the 2009 Batman feature film: The Dark Knight, several thousand people
received a series of clues that led them to bakeries across the US. Providing a password: the
name Robin Banks , the bakeries would give them a box. Inside the box they found a cake. Upon
it, a phone number was written in gaudy purple and yellow icing, along with the demand: Call Me
Now . When they called, the cake rang. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In response to the shootings, there were murmurs regarding the ethics of immersion, the
responsibility of designers and the implications of fictions bleeding into reality. The cinema chain in
which the shootings took place banned the wearing of costumes at screenings. Were the creators of
the ARG, the cinema, the costumed fans or the creators of the Batman franchise in anyway
responsible for these appalling acts? We can safely assume not. Designers of fictions cannot predict
the way each individual will respond to their creations, but more importantly, one cannot design any
entertainment product to accommodate for psychotic behaviour. All players must take
responsibility for their participation not just in games, but in society too.
Surveillance
While highly elaborate and controlled, ARGs are also intended as open systems, engineered to be
responsive and adaptive to player involvement. In this way, ARGs empower players to become part
of the construction of the game s narrative. To respond player actions and ideas, ARGs require a
degree of player observation and surveillance, which in turn raises issues around personal privacy,
identifying details and data collection. In arguably the first sustained exploration of ethics in real
space games, researchers within the Integrated Project on Pervasive Gaming: Montola, Waern,

The Tell Tale Heart Mood
This poem is about the murder of an old man. In The Tell Tale Heart, Edgar Allen Poe uses dark
details, diction, and imagery to convey a haunting mood. The murderer expresses how he killed
the old man and tried to hide his body. The darkness was pierced by a beam of light as the old
man was haunted by the murderer stalking him. In the Tell Tale Heart the author uses dark
details to show a scary and spooky mood. The disease had sharpened my senses not destroyed
not dulled them . This illustrates that he is using negative and dark scary words to show spooky
details about the old mans disease. When I had made an end of these labors, it was four o clock
still dark as midnight . This reveals the this happened very late at night and it gives you a spooky
feeling throughout the story. No doubt I now grew very noel but I talked more fluently and with a
heightened voice . This means that the murderers voice started getting louder and louder to give
you a haunting mood.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Neutral Tones Thomas Hardy Analysis
In the poem, Neutral Tones ,by Thomas Hardy, the readers will inquire information from the
author through use of imagery. In the first three stanzas Hardy reminisces about a memory he has
with a past loved one. During the last stanza, Hardy reflects how the relationship shaped him. The
speaker is aggravated mentally by the disappointment of love, believing that things were once
beautiful. He is devastated and frustrated when love perishes and feels deceived by the sweet
promises love had to offer.
In the first stanza, Hardy compares his dying relationship to his surroundings. He sets the tone
during this stanza as melancholy and gloomy. The water in the pond represents Hardy s
relationship and how it is not progressing in line 1, We stood by a pond that winter day .... A
pond is a small body of water that rarely has movement just like Hardy s relationship. The sun is
described as white in line 2 and is seemingly deprived from the power to warm and nurture. This
intensifies the tone of sadness and hopelessness. During the third line of the first stanza the leaves
that lay on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first line of the third stanza describing her smile contains a disheartening meaning. Usually,
a facial gesture would be associated with happiness and joy; whereas in Neutral Tones the smile
is described as the deadest thing . The cold causality of the gesture serves as reminder to the
bitterness of the poem. This metaphor continues, with the phrase: alive enough to have the
strength to die (l.10). This phrase further enhances the emotional uproar experienced by Hardy,
presenting a horrifying image of something that just has enough energy to die. Based from this
line, the speaker had already known that his lover would deceive him in love; just as her smile that
defeats the purpose of joy and happiness. Hardy gives his readers a sense that he knew the
relationship was going to be deceased or was in the process of

Why Is Shakespeare Still Relevant Today
William Shakespeare is one of the most famous authors in history. After celebrating the 400th
anniversary of his death just last year, many people came to realize just how influential and
important his works are to people. Even after all these years, Shakespeare s work is still so
present and relevant today. What if Shakespeare didn t write any of the plays he has his name on,
however? What if William Shakespearewas never who we thought? That is what some people
believe. Shakespeare did not write any of the plays, and they were all written by the 17th Earl of
Oxford, Edward De Vere. Although some people think that Edward de Vere wrote the plays,
William Shakespeare did write all the plays under his name.
This crazy conspiracy of the plays of William Shakespeare being written by the 17th Earl of
Oxford was started by one man, Thomas Looney. Published in 1920, Looney s book Shakespeare
Identified tells all about how Shakespeare could not possibly have written the plays due to his lack
of education and instead, the Earl of Oxford wrote them. This Oxfordian Theory has been the ...

A Midsummer Night s Dream was written between 1595 and 1596, when Shakespeare would
have been 31 or 32 years old. Oxford was still a child at this time, only nine years old. The only
explanation for that would be that Oxford was indeed a child prodigy, like the movie Anonymous
claims. Many of the plays were also written after the death of Oxford. The movie once again backs
up their claims with the idea that he wrote them all before his death and gave them to another
trusted author to be published later. This theory completely ignores the fact that many of the plays;
including Macbeth and The Tempest, had been written about current events from the times. These
events, like the gunpowder plot, happened after the death of

The Characteristics Of The Character Of Detectives
1A. A good detective is a very smart person who is able to use evidence and to detect lies and
truth. And is also able to think things in a logic and quicker way as well as understanding criminal
s movements. For example, detective Dupin in the Murders of the Rue Morgue from how the
bones were broken and how a lot of hair was pulled out, he figured out that the criminal was not a
human, but rather an criminal(Orangutan). I proceeded to think thus Г posteriori. The murderers
did escape from one of these windows. This being so, they could not have refastened the sashes
from the inside, as they were found fastened; the consideration which put a stop, through its
obviousness, to the scrutiny of the police in this quarter. Yet the sashes were fastened. They
must, then, have the power of fastening themselves. There was no escape from this conclusion.
I have seen the character of detectives evolve from one author to the next by having a brilliant
life in Doyle s novel The Sign of the four to love as in Rampo s Beast in the Shadows. In The
Sign of the Four it said, I cannot live without brain work. What else is there to live for? In the
Beast in the Shadows it said, Thus, I fell for her completely, sending her meaningless on a
frequent basis. Doyle s, Rampo s, Gaboriau s, Christie s, and Borges s fiction character and plot
were similar as Poe s detective and plot. Therefore, they do depend on earlier models. In respect,
Gaboriau aims to glorify or support the French police while it said, Well done, Goulard! quoth
the commissary, approvingl; Poe has a contemptuous attitude towards the agency. I believe that
Gaboriau got the idea from Poe, but did the opposite from what I see, I could definitely tell that
Poe deserves the title One of American Greatest Storyteller because so many authors followed his
example of how to write a detective novel. Which shows that his writing impact others to write
detective novels. 2A. Rule number 10: The culprit must turn out to be a person who has played a
more or less prominent part in the story that is a, person with whom the reader is familiar and in
whom he takes an interest. I think Christie played fair with this. The book she used this idea in

The Negative Consequences Of Edward Snowden
One often finds that standing up and working in favor of the greater good usually results in
negative consequences. Edward Snowden encountered this crossroad while working for the NSA
and the CIA as a technical contractor. When he was working at the NSA s Hawaii office, Snowden
noticed various government methods that the NSA was using to spy on American citizens. The
NSA gathered information from American citizens phone calls and internet use, without their
consent. After three months of working for the NSA, Snowden began leaking the secret documents
showing the NSA s surveillance methods. The documents contained information such as the
invasion of privacyof millions of Americans from the NSA s various domestic programs such as
PRISM. Snowden had then fled to Russia to escape any trouble with the law after he leaked to
the newspaper companies which began printing the documents. Snowden didn t decide to be in
Russia, he was actually flying through Russia going to Latin America. Which is where he
intended to seek asylum, knowing the Obama administration would put him into prison for the
rest of his life. And being a rational person, he did not want to be in jail for the rest of his life for
being a whistleblower. The reason he could not get out of Russia was because on the plane from
Hong Kong to Russia, they revoked his passport and then told the Cubans if you let him through to
Latin America there will be all kinds of incriminations for you. ( The Truth About Edward

Stock Market Crash of 1929
The Stock Market Crash of 1929 was the most devastating crash in U.S. history. It started on
October 24, 1929 and the downfall ended in July 1932. I always wondered what caused this
calamity. Before starting this report, I knew basic idea about the crash. It was a time of decline and
huge fortunes were lost. Now I can figure out just why.
The research process for my report was no easy task. The simple part was choosing my topic. As
soon as I saw Crash of 1929 on the topic list, I had my mind fixed on it. After selecting that topic, I
did a couple days of basic research and got a feel for it. The harder part was choosing a question to
base my report on. The first question that came to my mind was How did the 1929 crash affect the
U.S. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The following three paragraphs will discuss the reasons why the Crash occurred and possible
prevention methods. One reason the stock market crashed was margin buying. When you buy a
stock on margin, it means that you buy a stock on credit and a promise with your broker that you
will pay off the loan later. This method will increase your earnings if the stock s value rises thus
making it very popular. On the other hand, if the stock s value falls, you will lose even more
money. This is why margin buying is very risky especially at the high rates. When the Stock
Market fell, many people went broke. Male investors jumped off the top of buildings because
they were in such a bad financial situation. According to the Financial Times, the President of the
American Bankers Association said Bankers are gravely alarmed over the mounting volume of
credit being employed in carrying security loans, both by brokers and by people. The bankers
should have lowered the rates to reduce the negative effects of margin buying. The average rate
before October 1929 was 50% 75%. Had it been lowered to 10 percent, the crash would have been
shortened to a couple of months.
Another big problem that led to the Stock Market Crash was public misconception. The general
conception was that the stock market was an easy way to make money. People began believing
that stock prices would go up forever. As a result, many people bought publicized stocks

Polar Bear Vs Polar Bears
Throughout many years, our Earth s climate has changed and fluctuated many times. As of today,
our climate has been increasing dramatically. This has to do with burning too many fossil fuels and
creating more greenhouse gases, which make the Earth absorb more sunlight from the sun s rays.
Although this is hurting humans, no one has really thought about how it is affecting the arctic
animals. It has affected polar bears and their way of life. Climatechange is also affecting lemmings,
and the way they use the snow to survive. The Arctic Foxhas a new competitor, the Red Fox.
Climate Change is affecting the biodiversity of animals and could cause a major extinction.
Polar Bears have always relied on sea ice for their main activities. They use the sea ice fro
hunting, traveling, and for breeding. Scientists have found that sea ice has been melting earlier in
the spring. They have also found that the time it takes for ice to form again is also taking a longer
time in the fall. The problem with this is that the Polar Bears spend all their winter and spring on
sea ice breeding and hunting. On the sea ice, polar bears hunt seals, in fact, that is what they mainly
eat. When polar Bears consume the seals, they provide the needed fats and nutrients needed for the
harsh arctic environment. If the ice is melting faster, then that means that seals won t rest on the sea
ice and Polar Bears won t be able to hunt them.(NASA) In the Arctic, there is a continuous trend that
seems to be

Types Of E Learning Synchronous And Asynchronous
Through research I have learned that there are two types of e learning synchronous and
asynchronous. Synchronous referring to a specific hour where both parties meet for the course.
Asynchronous is using computer sources for course material and contact with instructor is done
through online programs (Bubatu). Synchronous it the type of training one would expect from a
traditional classroom training. However, today s traditional classroom training also incorporates e
learning tools. Whether the instructor is using a power point presentation, video, or material
found on a website, it s important to recognize that technology has become very important for
classroom training. Besides my high school years, I have yet to see an educator teach with only a
book in hand. As technology changes, so does asynchronous training. Newer methods of online
training become available every day. E Learning has been around for decades. Knowing that e
learning is constantly changing before our eyes, let s look at how e learning has evolved over time.
According to Nicoleta Florea, There are three generations of e learning. First generation referring to
print based correspondence. Second generation refers to the use of multimedia an instructor
available. Third generation is training done by individuals/teams with little to no guidance from an
educator . First generation training was successful but obviously had its downfalls. Print based
training gave individuals access to training but no one to

The Invention Of The World Wide Web
The present society of today embodies a distinct shape, organization, role, and feel from the
societies of a millennium ago, a century ago, or even a decade ago. These metamorphoses are, in
part, caused by the multiple technological revolutions that our society has experienced throughout
its history. Each time a technological revolution occurs when a novel technology is introduced to
build upon or succeed an older one the entire society (and the individuals that comprise it) changes.
However, as Marshall McLuhan suggested within the printed pages of Understanding Media: The
Extensions of Man, the medium is the message (McLuhan 1964). In other words, these shifts are
not as much the direct result of the invention s content or it s use, as they are the outcomes of
effects that are intrinsic within the technology itself. Although McLuhan published this work in
1964, almost thirty years before the invention of the World Wide Web
, this adage still holds true for
the Internet today.
Technologies, such as the Internet, should not be viewed, using the instrumentalist perspective, as
inherently neutral tools that are valuable only for their ends, intended purposes, or practical
benefits (Ellul, Wilkinson, and Merton 1964, Carr 2010, 45). Rather, the means themselves, or what
McLuhan would consider the medium, should also be recognized as carrying messages that hold
powerful, unintended consequences for society (Ellul, Wilkinson, and Merton 1964, McLuhan
1964). In

Halo Game Comparison Essay
Since the debut of Halo in 2001, the game has become one of the most iconic first person
shooters to have ever entered the gaming industry. In Halo, players fight multiple alien races as
the legendary Spartan II, a genetically enhanced super soldier, named John S117. Recently, the
creators of Halo released a new game called Destiny; in the game, guardians fight off multiple alien
races in an attempt to destroy an ancient evil known as the Darkness. Many gamers claim that Halo
and Destiny are very different, however, a true Halo fan can identify the similarities between the
two games. Though the two games have small differences, Halo and Destiny are the same in
many ways; the weapons, the enemies fought, and the AI companion system. When a Halo fan
picks up his first weapon in Destiny, whether it be a scout rifle or an auto rifle, he should
instantly be able to acknowledge the similarity in mechanics. In Halo the weapon mechanics are
simple, a player can pick up anything that he can find. In contrast, Destiny has completely
customizable weapon mechanics; a primary weapon slot, a secondary weapon slot, and a heavy
weapon slot. Aside from the way a player obtains his weapon, everything else is the same. In Halo,
the primary weapons were essentially assault rifles and marksman rifles,... Show more content on

Clark (2000) Women, Gender, and Religion, talks about how the Ancient Greeks believe men
and women were two different species. Men are the superior and women are the inferior. Clark
says { Greek medical writers differ in their ideas about male and female bodies. The Hippocratic
school presented men and women as separate species (what we might call a two sex model),
whereas Aristotle considered women to be, Imperfect or defective men in what has been termed a
one sex model. Women lacked the firm control of bodily boundaries that men had. Women changed

describes women as a completely different and weak species, which have no control over who
they are. They are fragmented beings. Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, believed that the way to

There have several reasons to supporting to stopping water fluoridation. The most important is
that the intake of water by people is uncontrollable, which makes calculating the intake of
fluoride water impossible. This renders the method of delivering this medication very
incompetent and evil. It also goes against modern medical observations of individual medicine.
Dr. Carlson, the winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine has put this excellently... I am quite
convinced that water fluoridation, in a not to unfriendly future, will be gave to medical history
....Water fluoridation goes against leading principles of pharmacotherapy, which is progressing
from a labelled medication of the type 1 tablet 5 times a day to a much more individualized
therapy as regards both amount and selection of medications. In addition of drugs to the drinking
water means exactly the opposite of an individualized therapy. (Carlson) He can explain that
different people have different needs of water and intake of certain medicine for needed effect.
He further criticized ignoring these differences. Generalizing medication can and in cases does
have negative effects on people s health. Here s how. Fluorosis could lead to problems with
everyday simple tasks, making walking painful and heighten the risk of bone fractures. Further
studies show that Thyroid damage is also very much possible and evident with excess fluoride. In
fact, fluoride was once arranged by doctors in Europe and South America to cure thyroid activity
in people. And it did work. This means that people at risk of low thyroid activity may be feasting a

Mid Tudor Crisis
To what extent was there a mid Tudor crisis, 1539 1563?
The concept of a mid Tudor crisis arrived under the scrutiny of modern scholarship largely
through a priori reasoning and was first broadly promulgated by W.R.D. Jones in his 1973 book
The Mid Tudor Crisis1539 1563 . Jones attested a series of problems that seem to have been ever
present in mid Tudor England (Jones, 1973, p. 6), exhibiting a close relationship (Jones, 1973, p.
6) with one another as a crisis . This compounded succession of agricultural volatility, deficiencies
in administrative decree, specifically the troubled shadowed reigns of Edward VI and Mary I,
(Jones, 1973, p.19) and divisive religious reformation, as Jones was to surmise, directly resulted in

The fruitless campaigns of 1544 and 1550 demanded an estimated 3.5 million pounds, the
reciprocal yield from domestic taxation of the same period amounting to a fraction of that cost
at 976,000. (Matusiak, 2005) Disastrously Henry VIII addressed this deficiency by
administrating a series of debasements continued by his successors until by 1551the silver
content in coins had decreased to 25% of what it had been in 1542. This economic maelstrom
(Matusiak, 2005, p.33) was further exacerbated by the collapse of the wool trade; exports
plummeting by 35% in 1552, paralleled in the forthcoming years by the depredation of the
agricultural industry as a repercussion of the 1554 1556 harvest failures (caused by the
inundating of heavy rain), agricultural laborers wages dropped around 60% and the cost of
necessary commodities (food, drink, housing) cost the lower classes 80% (Jones, 1973, p. 78) of
their reduced incomes as demonstrated by the 1551 imploration of Bishop Hooper (addressing

Homecoming Should Be Abolished Essay
I feel that homecoming shouldn t be abolished. Abolishing homecoming would be upsetting to
students and former students. The reasons I feel this way is because homecoming could be so
much fun, you also get to know more about your school and learning their traditions of the school.
To begin with, homecoming could be fun for new students and former students. In homecoming
week they do something called spirit week. In spirit they allow you to dress up and show your
school spirit. They have a homecoming football game which is so fun because you have people
coming out to support your school. They also all teachers to show their spirit and dress up. They
have students running for homecoming king and queen, which is competitive to see who will
take over the crown. A lot of people run, but some lose. It is still fun to run because at least they
tried. If they take homecoming away it would be boring to students because there s not going to
be a football game to attend. The football game is mostly where the fun is. Homecoming could
never get old so it s going to be impossible to take that away from ICN high school. Our school is
one of the best in the city and everyone love to our football games. Homecoming is where all the
fun is at in our school. Additionally, you get to know more about your school. In homecoming, a
lot of the history your school is recognized. Homecoming is to welcome back former students. Who
attended the school years ago. The alumni come to the football game

Macedonian dynasty with her. Her father was King Ptolemy XII, who ruled the Ptolemaic reign

acknowledged the boy was his offspring, and historical debate continues over whether he was
indeed his father. Cleopatra eventually followed Caesar back to Rome, but returned to Egypt in 44

When I was twelve years old, I chose an organization that I found interesting and that I wanted to spread awareness for, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.. I felt a personal connection to this organization, and for my Bat Mitzvah project, I created and sold necklaces, where all the proceeds went to the museum. This project inspired me and helped me mature from a girl, to a woman. Ever since my Bat Mitzvah project, I have been making these necklaces in my spare time. Over the years, I donated thousands of dollars and countless hours of my time to help this important cause. If all students are required to choose ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Texas has 254 counties, the most of any state. Each county is governed by a five member Commissioners Court, which consists of a County Judge (elected at large) and four Commissioners (elected from single member precincts). The County Judge has no veto authority over the decisions of the Court, s/he has one vote along with the other Commissioners. In smaller counties, the County Judge also performs judicial functions, while in larger counties his/her role is limited to the Court. Elections are held on a partisan basis. • 4. Peace-Weaver In Beowulf Based on the story, Beowulf by Heaney, the poet had described three types of the women role in literature are peace weavers, hostess, and monster. First, the female role of the peace weaver in the epic poem literature is meant to describe the woman who has married off to someone and brings a peace to her household and the nation. Queen Wealtheow is a wife of King Hrothgar who was an example of success among the peace weavers. She plays an active role in the society through words of encouragement to her people to make them hand out the treasure for her heroes. (Murphy) Therefore, the roles of Queen Wealtheow make her become a peace weaver within both social and political realms of her life. Even she is a wife, that married to the Frisian king.... The poet has mentioned the women s role in this poem through Queen Wealtheow s character in the mead cup. As a queen, Wealtheow is the most powerful women, and she also is the most important women in the kingdom. As a queen, Wealtheow is fully depicted in the Beowulf and the poet has analyzed specifically to connect with her role in the mead hall as an excellent heart and sure of the speech. According to the authors, The mead cup was served in order to mark the allegiance of each man in his turn to the king, whose mead hall they occupied (Edgington). This statement shows how the hostess role of the Queen Wealtheow was very important. She does all the duties to carry the mead cup in the hall and go around to offer the drink to the King and the warriors before she greets Beowulf. Besides that, the queen plays to her role as a woman speaking to all the men in the hall and reminding them with their families, their king, country, and their obligations in life during the Anglo Saxon ... Through the history of Black musical forms, each style represented a reality of the Black community, whether regionally or based on the time period and politics. Before enslaved Africans had the education to write their stories, they were told orally, often set to music. Highlighting the genius of a people, when there were ideas and stories that were adverse to those in power, Black peoplewere able to hide their true messages in a song. From the political unrest of the 1950 s, 60 s and 70 s Civil Rights, anti Vietnam protests, and emergence of Black Power/Black Revolution ideals, soul music captured a variety of ideologies and presented them to the masses. Music allowed for a mix of the ideologies to the mass of Blacks across the nation, without having to formally declare one main ideology as the only one they subscribed to. Soul then gave birth to funk which allowed more freedom in musical expression while appropriating religious zeal and traditions and keeping critical political discourse. Major funk artists like Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament/Funkadelics, and the ever evolving James Brown provided pro Black messaging with holy ghost inspired concerts that were really religious meetings. Whether it was the pentecostal services of Sly or the afrocentric sci fi ideals of George Clinton, a historic sound and tradition that is unapologetically Black happened for all audiences. • 7. Implications Of Fiar Cut Adverts And Laser Cut Polipulations Because each insert contained a different amount of fibers, the fiber mass at each time point was converted to a percentage of the original fiber mass. As expected, the data shows a decrease in fiber mass for both scissor cut inserts and laser cut inserts. Overall, the scissor cut inserts had a greater loss than the inserts cut by the laser. Laser cutting had the greatest effected on the adhesion of polystyrene to a polystyrene base. Polystyrene fibers were light and thin and often gets attracted to anything that comes within a centimeter of it. Laser cutting helped contain the fibers on the insert. From the ten second point on, there was significant difference between the fiber mass remaining on the inserts (p ≤ 0.0179). After... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our inserts are an integral part of the modular system. Therefore, the fiber coated inserts need to be reliable. It is in our best interest to make sure the fibers, to which the cells are attached, adhere to the insert despite the many transitions from Petri dish to analytical device to further investigation. Laser cutting provides many advantages to cutting inserts. Hundreds of inserts can be cut in minutes. The reproducibility is inimitable; each piece can be exactly the same size. The idea that the laser would also fuse the layer of fibers into place would be a considerable advantage. This data and SEM images support the idea that laser cutting sinters the fibers to the insert. SEM images show polystyrene fibers melted into the polystyrene perimeter. As the laser blasts through the polystyrene base, it plows the malleable polymer in both directions perpendicular to the cut. The result is a raised perimeter around, and a thin connection between, the inserts. The inserts were imaged at an angle to investigate the interface of fibers and raised edge. At a 30В° to normal and 300x magnification, the smooth raised border can be seen. The fibers spread underneath, but where the fibers extend on the underside of the border, there are bumps. At the very least, we can say the fibers are tucked underneath the polystyrene border, which would increase the adherence, but further inference would lead us to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Teutonic Knights Historical Analysis The journal article written by William Urban provided a different perspective in the role played by the Teutonic Knights during the Baltic crusades. Typically, historical analysis implies that the Teutonic Knights were ruthless in the elimination and conversion of Baltic pagans to Christianity. However, Urban s article does not dwell on the brutality of the Knights. Urban alludes to the knights as policemen. Stating that they were invited to Livonia in an effort to save the crusader state from internal collapse caused by political infighting among the Germans, Danes, and Slavs. Once the knights gained control of the political instability within the region, they began a process of establishing a defensive perimeter along the southern frontier. Justification of the Study As the number of teenagers logged into social media accounts increases the number of opportunities to perpetrate or be the victim of cyberbullying also increases. A few of the main outlets for cyberbullying are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, instant messenger, or text messages. The term bullying has been a staple in the English language for centuries, but cyberbullying is a fairly new term. Roberto, Eden, Savage, Ramos Salazar, and Deiss (2014) reported that 74% of teenagers have an account on at least one social media site, but all social media site require a minimum age of 13 years old. In reality, 7.5 million Facebook accounts are operated by someone under 13 years old, and 5 million accounts are operated by a child under the age of 10 (Roberto et al., 2010). Cyberbullying give a new spin to bullying; therefore, the number of individuals affected by either type of bullying, especially middle school aged are increasing. • 13. Argumentative Essay On Artificial Intelligence Artificial Intelligence is a topic within the public media that has existed for decades, but is now a concern due to the reality of human advancement and innovation in the field of science and technology. Many people believe that computers will become self aware or sentient and view humanity as a disposable resource and gain supremacy. Reasoning that research on the technology should halt and not become more advance. Whereas others believe they will help catapult research and the economy forward, supporting the operations and innovations the technology offers. The complicated and divided solutions to the debate aren t obvious, but there are more benefits to improving artificial intelligence than there is stopping it. Therefore, the negative effects people believe will occur can be resolved. There are different types of artificial intelligence that many institutes and companies believe in. However, they all share the same belief of a self aware, conscious, human like, computer system, the type of AI people fear. Disregarding that an AI is a computer much like a phone or laptop, one must consider that if something is sentient like a person or animal, should they be treated like one? And if not, is it discrimination or racism when it is treated like an item? Slavery treated people based on race or social status differently, the bottom being slaves. • 15. Summary Of The Liars Of Marie De France Stories of true love have been told throughout history. In The Lias of Marie de France , translated by Robert Hannign and Joan Ferrante, Marie tells stories of true love. In the two stories of Lanval and Yonec, there are many things that point to the love being a figment of the character s imagination. In both stories, the characters are depressed and lonely. This leads them to make up someone to love. Both imagined lovers to have many traits that make them seem to real to be true. Additionally, both characters have some boundary that they cross to meet the lover in their dream world. In both instances others seem to see the lover, this is most likely a result of the others knowing the lover is not real. Based on the stories of Lanval and Yonec in The Lias of Marie de France, true love is only possible through imagination. It was most likely Marie s intent to depict Lanval s first encounter with his lover as a dream. One way she does this is by not mentioning the name Lanval s lover. If the lover was real, from their world or not, she would probably have a name known to Lanval and to others of the lai. Furthermore, the fact that she must remain a secret also hints at her non existence. His first encounter with the lover is on one of his ventures off by himself. Marie describes this instance by saying one day mounted his horse and went off to amuse himself (Marie 106). This is probably Mari trying to point out as Lanval going out to pleasure himself. • 18. Photography And Its Effects On Impressionism Photography and its Effects on Impressionism Dakota Saunders Rewind roughly back to the 1860 s. Several apprentice painters, namely Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, and FrГ©dГ©ric Bazille learned that they did not share the same views of the AcadГ©mie des Beaux Arts. The Academy believed that mythological and historical scenes for painting was vastly superior to that of still life and landscape scenes. The AcadГ©mie des Beaux Arts would run an art show, the Salon de Paris, which was the only way for an artist during that time to gain prestige, commissions, and of course money. The Salon would only accept paintings which were in their approved style, which was based on the art of the old masters. Since the art of these young painters did not conform to the standards put forth by the AcadГ©mie des Beaux Arts, their art was mostly rejected until Emperor Napoleon III settled to allow the public to judge the submitted art themselves. The Salon des RefusГ©s was created just for this purpose. The results of the new Salon were such; While many viewers came only to laugh, the Salon des RefusГ©s drew attention to the existence of a new tendency in art and attracted more visitors than the regular Salon. (Denvir, pg. 194). Louis Leroy wrote a disparaging review on Monet s work, Impression, Sunrise . He suggested that Monet s painting was a sketch, and it could not be called a finished work. • 20. The Pros And Cons Of Poverty In The Non-Metro Area Poverty rates among all citizens are highest in the extremely urban and truly rural areas of the United States. However, poverty rates, as measured by the Department of Agriculture s Economic Research Service, are higher in non metro areas as compared to metropolitan centers. The demographics of poverty offer insight to public administrators and policy writers beyond the demographics of simply rural versus metro areas. For example, in 2016 rural White citizens were half as likely to live in poverty as either Black or Native American citizens. In addition, a female head of household in a rural area is nearly eight times as likely to live in poverty as a married couple. Couple these demographics with the fact that only 46 million citizens live in nonmetro areas roughly 15% of the national population it is not surprising that rural areas seem to receive less attention by federally elected officials than urban and suburban areas. At the county level, poverty as defined by the US government is an immensely rural problem, with the most remote rural places at the greatest disadvantage. It would seem obvious that where and how an individual lives would matter in a person s ability to rise above the poverty level. However, federal policy that addresses poverty is not specific to rural areas or metropolitan areas. Within the context of all policy, rural areas are unique and policy makers ought to consider this when addressing legislation to help citizens in these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 22. Hebert Eagle Seven Pounds Analysis Drawing upon Hebert Eagle, Seven Pounds clearly exhibits the demonstration of blue lighting throughout the entire film. For instance, near the end of the film, the viewer experiences the second of Tim s flashbacks of the devastating crash. Ascending the hill in which his car rolled over, Tim searches for any survivors of the fatal crash. After a few minutes of searching, Tim discovers his dead wife lying on the cold, hard asphalt. Aware that he remains the only survivor, Tim, with heaving sobs, slowly falls to his knees and eventually lies with his wife on the ground. Throughout this entire scene, blue lighting falls on Tim and exhibits the loneliness and hopelessness that he now feels. Although such an example presents itself near the end of the film, it is imperative to understand this motif. Throughout the entire film, the lighting on Tim, when shown alone, is often blue as if recalling the crash sequence. However, when Tim interacts with Emily later on in the film, Muccino uses yellow lighting to contrast that of the blue and to produce warmth within the scene, and to show the comfort and stability that Tim feels in Emily s company. In the Tell Tale Heart the author uses dark details to show a scary and spooky mood. The disease had sharpened my senses not destroyed not dulled them . In the first three stanzas Hardy reminisces about a memory he has with a past loved one. During the last stanza, Hardy reflects how the relationship shaped him. The speaker is aggravated mentally by the disappointment of love, believing that things were once beautiful. He is devastated and frustrated when love perishes and feels deceived by the sweet promises love had to offer. In the first stanza, Hardy compares his dying relationship to his surroundings. He sets the tone during this stanza as melancholy and gloomy. The water in the pond represents Hardy s relationship and how it is not progressing in line 1, We stood by a pond that winter day .... A pond is a small body of water that rarely has movement just like Hardy s relationship. The sun is described as white in line 2 and is seemingly deprived from the power to warm and nurture. After celebrating the 400th anniversary of his death just last year, many people came to realize just how influential and important his works are to people. Shakespeare did not write any of the plays, and they were all written by the 17th Earl of Oxford, Edward De Vere. Although some people think that Edward de Vere wrote the plays, William Shakespeare did write all the plays under his name. This crazy conspiracy of the plays of William Shakespeare being written by the 17th Earl of Oxford was started by one man, Thomas Looney. • 27. The Characteristics Of The Character Of Detectives 1A. A good detective is a very smart person who is able to use evidence and to detect lies and truth. And is also able to think things in a logic and quicker way as well as understanding criminal s movements. For example, detective Dupin in the Murders of the Rue Morgue from how the bones were broken and how a lot of hair was pulled out, he figured out that the criminal was not a human, but rather an criminal(Orangutan). I proceeded to think thus Г posteriori. The murderers did escape from one of these windows. This being so, they could not have refastened the sashes from the inside, as they were found fastened; the consideration which put a stop, through its obviousness, to the scrutiny of the police in this quarter. Yet the sashes were fastened. They must, then, have the power of fastening themselves. There was no escape from this conclusion. I have seen the character of detectives evolve from one author to the next by having a brilliant life in Doyle s novel The Sign of the four to love as in Rampo s Beast in the Shadows. In The Sign of the Four it said, I cannot live without brain work. What else is there to live for? In the Beast in the Shadows it said, Thus, I fell for her completely, sending her meaningless on a frequent basis. Doyle s, Rampo s, Gaboriau s, Christie s, and Borges s fiction character and plot were similar as Poe s detective and plot. Therefore, they do depend on earlier models. In respect, Gaboriau aims to glorify or support the French police while it said, Well done, Goulard! quoth the commissary, approvingl; Poe has a contemptuous attitude towards the agency. I believe that Gaboriau got the idea from Poe, but did the opposite from what I see, I could definitely tell that Poe deserves the title One of American Greatest Storyteller because so many authors followed his example of how to write a detective novel. Which shows that his writing impact others to write detective novels. 2A. Rule number 10: The culprit must turn out to be a person who has played a more or less prominent part in the story that is a, person with whom the reader is familiar and in whom he takes an interest. The following three paragraphs will discuss the reasons why the Crash occurred and possible prevention methods. One reason the stock market crashed was margin buying. When you buy a stock on margin, it means that you buy a stock on credit and a promise with your broker that you will pay off the loan later. This method will increase your earnings if the stock s value rises thus making it very popular. On the other hand, if the stock s value falls, you will lose even more money. This is why margin buying is very risky especially at the high rates. When the Stock Market fell, many people went broke. Male investors jumped off the top of buildings because they were in such a bad financial situation. According to the Financial Times, the President of the American Bankers Association said Bankers are gravely alarmed over the mounting volume of credit being employed in carrying security loans, both by brokers and by people. The bankers should have lowered the rates to reduce the negative effects of margin buying. The average rate before October 1929 was 50% 75%. Had it been lowered to 10 percent, the crash would have been shortened to a couple of months. Another big problem that led to the Stock Market Crash was public misconception. • 31. Polar Bear Vs Polar Bears Throughout many years, our Earth s climate has changed and fluctuated many times. As of today, our climate has been increasing dramatically. This has to do with burning too many fossil fuels and creating more greenhouse gases, which make the Earth absorb more sunlight from the sun s rays. Although this is hurting humans, no one has really thought about how it is affecting the arctic animals. It has affected polar bears and their way of life. Climatechange is also affecting lemmings, and the way they use the snow to survive. The Arctic Foxhas a new competitor, the Red Fox. Climate Change is affecting the biodiversity of animals and could cause a major extinction. Polar Bears have always relied on sea ice for their main activities. They use the sea ice fro hunting, traveling, and for breeding. Scientists have found that sea ice has been melting earlier in the spring. They have also found that the time it takes for ice to form again is also taking a longer time in the fall. The problem with this is that the Polar Bears spend all their winter and spring on sea ice breeding and hunting. On the sea ice, polar bears hunt seals, in fact, that is what they mainly eat. When polar Bears consume the seals, they provide the needed fats and nutrients needed for the harsh arctic environment. If the ice is melting faster, then that means that seals won t rest on the sea ice and Polar Bears won t be able to hunt them.(NASA) In the Arctic, there is a continuous trend that seems to be ... Synchronous referring to a specific hour where both parties meet for the course. Asynchronous is using computer sources for course material and contact with instructor is done through online programs (Bubatu). Synchronous it the type of training one would expect from a traditional classroom training. However, today s traditional classroom training also incorporates e learning tools. Whether the instructor is using a power point presentation, video, or material found on a website, it s important to recognize that technology has become very important for classroom training. Newer methods of online training become available every day. E Learning has been around for decades. Knowing that e learning is constantly changing before our eyes, let s look at how e learning has evolved over time. According to Nicoleta Florea, There are three generations of e learning. First generation referring to print based correspondence. Second generation refers to the use of multimedia an instructor available. • 33. The Invention Of The World Wide Web The present society of today embodies a distinct shape, organization, role, and feel from the societies of a millennium ago, a century ago, or even a decade ago. These metamorphoses are, in part, caused by the multiple technological revolutions that our society has experienced throughout its history. Each time a technological revolution occurs when a novel technology is introduced to build upon or succeed an older one the entire society (and the individuals that comprise it) changes. However, as Marshall McLuhan suggested within the printed pages of Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man, the medium is the message (McLuhan 1964). In other words, these shifts are not as much the direct result of the invention s content or it s use, as they are the outcomes of effects that are intrinsic within the technology itself. Although McLuhan published this work in 1964, almost thirty years before the invention of the World Wide Web , this adage still holds true for the Internet today. Technologies, such as the Internet, should not be viewed, using the instrumentalist perspective, as inherently neutral tools that are valuable only for their ends, intended purposes, or practical benefits (Ellul, Wilkinson, and Merton 1964, Carr 2010, 45). Rather, the means themselves, or what McLuhan would consider the medium, should also be recognized as carrying messages that hold powerful, unintended consequences for society (Ellul, Wilkinson, and Merton 1964, McLuhan 1964). • 38. NLRPCHT Case Study NLRPNACHT 3D models showed a typical structural fold and conserved ATP binding motifs Domain analysis revealed that all the NLRP proteins (excluding NLRP10) comprised of three functional domains; N terminal PYD, central NACHT and variable numbers of C terminal LRRs. NLRP1 has two additional domains, FIIND and CARD towards the C terminal region (next to LRR), whereas NLRP10 lacks the LRR (Fig. 1a; Supplementary Table. S1). Consistent with recently resolved structures [mNlrc4 (4KXF) and OcNOD2 (5IRL)], and sequence analysis results, we outlined three functional sub domains of NACHT/NOD modules; (a) the nucleotide binding domain (NDB) positioned after Pyrin domain (PYD), (b) the helical domain 1 (HD1) and (c) the winged helix domain (WHD)... A close visual inspection of docked conformations showed a conserved ATP binding pattern except for NLRP5, NLRP8, and NLRP9. Till date, only two ADP bound NLR structures have been resolved experimentally [mNlrc4 (4KXF) and OcNOD2 (5IRN)] and both the structures shared a common nucleotide binding orientation28, 29. Therefore, we adopted the manual approach of docking; where the Оі phosphate group of ATP was deeply buried inside the cavity, and adenine moiety was positioned outward (Fig. S1b). To understand the binding mode and dynamic stability of ATP, MD simulations of both the prepared ATP bound NLRPNACHT complexes [complex I (AutoDock) and complex II (manually docked)] were performed for 60ns time scale. Manually docked NLRPNACHT ATP complexes exhibited a good binding stability The experimental evidence suggested that Walker A (GxxxxGK[S/T]) of AAA+ ATPase proteins has the major contribution in nucleotide binding and particularly, it coordinates the ОІ/Оі phosphate group of NTPs28 37. To acquire a stable NLRPNACHT ATP complex for interaction analysis, a combined root mean square deviation (RMSD) of Walker A and ATP was calculated, and the result indicated a stable array of deviation in manually docked systems except in NLRP13 (Fig. 2a). Further, we analyzed the total numbers of intermolecular H bonds between ATP and NLRPNACHT from the obtained trajectories as the function of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Clark (2000) Women, Gender, and Religion, talks about how the Ancient Greeks believe men and women were two different species. Men are the superior and women are the inferior. Clark says { Greek medical writers differ in their ideas about male and female bodies. The Hippocratic school presented men and women as separate species (what we might call a two sex model), whereas Aristotle considered women to be, Imperfect or defective men in what has been termed a one sex model. Women lacked the firm control of bodily boundaries that men had. Women changed shape during pregnancy, and they leaked: blood, tears, and emotion. Since woman does not bound herself, she must be bounded. This is achieved by organization of her space, prescription of her gestures, ordering of her rituals, imposition of headgear, attendants, and other trappings. } This describes women as a completely different and weak species, which have no control over who they are. They are fragmented beings. Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, believed that the way to bound the female species was by trapping ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Water Fluoridation There is a great deal of debate about the effectiveness and the safety of fluoride, especially in the form of water fluoridation. The purpose of this paper is to provide us with information needed to make an informed decision about fluoride. Fluoridation is the addition of small amounts of fluoride to public water supplies. It is a kind of mass medication and the only chemical added to water in measures over that of naturally occurring water. Actually, fluoride is a chemical element that has shown to cause significant effect on human health through drinking water. In small amount this chemical does not have any significant negative effects on our body, but over consumption of it is poisonous and in severe cases can prove deadly. Some countries... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The question is not whether we should or should not be consuming water containing fluoride, but how much fluoride is important and at what level does fluoride poisoning become possible. There have several reasons to supporting to stopping water fluoridation. The most important is that the intake of water by people is uncontrollable, which makes calculating the intake of fluoride water impossible. This renders the method of delivering this medication very incompetent and evil. It also goes against modern medical observations of individual medicine. Dr. Carlson, the winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine has put this excellently... I am quite convinced that water fluoridation, in a not to unfriendly future, will be gave to medical history ....Water fluoridation goes against leading principles of pharmacotherapy, which is progressing from a labelled medication of the type 1 tablet 5 times a day to a much more individualized therapy as regards both amount and selection of medications. In addition of drugs to the drinking water means exactly the opposite of an individualized therapy. (Carlson) He can explain that different people have different needs of water and intake of certain medicine for needed effect. He further criticized ignoring these differences. Generalizing medication can and in cases does have negative effects on people s health. Here s how. Fluorosis could lead to problems with everyday simple tasks, making walking painful and heighten the risk of bone fractures. The concept of a mid Tudor crisis arrived under the scrutiny of modern scholarship largely through a priori reasoning and was first broadly promulgated by W.R.D. Jones attested a series of problems that seem to have been ever present in mid Tudor England (Jones, 1973, p. 6), exhibiting a close relationship (Jones, 1973, p. 6) with one another as a crisis . This compounded succession of agricultural volatility, deficiencies in administrative decree, specifically the troubled shadowed reigns of Edward VI and Mary I, (Jones, 1973, p.19) and divisive religious reformation, as Jones was to surmise, directly resulted in fluctuations ... The reasons I feel this way is because homecoming could be so much fun, you also get to know more about your school and learning their traditions of the school. To begin with, homecoming could be fun for new students and former students. In homecoming week they do something called spirit week. In spirit they allow you to dress up and show your school spirit. They have a homecoming football game which is so fun because you have people coming out to support your school. They also all teachers to show their spirit and dress up. They have students running for homecoming king and queen, which is competitive to see who will take over the crown. A lot of people run, but some lose. It is still fun to run because at least they tried. If they take homecoming away it would be boring to students because there s not going to be a football game to attend. The football game is mostly where the fun is. Homecoming could never get old so it s going to be impossible to take that away from ICN high school.
