Text: 1Tim 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called,
and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.
I. The Prize- 1Tim 6:12
“Eternal life”
is not a lay-a-way plan where you only take
possession after you have made enough
payments.
It is an all-access pass to the theme park.

2. How much you enjoy your pass depends on
your desire to experience all that is offered.
…He that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation; but
is passed from death unto life.
John 5:24
If you are saved, you have the
pass.
…the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:23
Your access pass is a “free gift” to
you.
Now the question is, what will you
do with it?

3. II. The Pursuit- 1Tim 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith,
“lay hold on”
eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.
Profession is not possession.
They that forsake the law praise the wicked:
but such as keep the law contend with
them.
Prov 28:4
But even after that we had suffered before,
and were shamefully entreated, as ye know,
at Philippi, we were bold in our God to
speak unto you the gospel of God with
much contention.
1Thess 2:2

4. Titus 1:9-11
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath
been taught, that he may be able by sound
doctrine both to exhort and to convince the
gainsayers.
10 For there are many unruly and vain
talkers and deceivers, specially they of the
circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who
subvert whole houses, teaching things which
they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
Therefore we ought to give the more
earnest heed to the things which we have
heard, lest at any time we should let them
slip.

light which no man can approach unto; whom
no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be
honour and power everlasting. Amen.

7. Job 2:4
And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin
for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give
for his life.
John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know
thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom
thou hast sent.
Rom 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
