A. Possession
Possession is more than ownership; it is occupation- active control
of the thing taken.

“patience” packaged in tribulation.

– patience is knowing God will adjudicate justice we don’t need to.

C. Soul
The spirit not the same as the soul-
1Cor 2:11-12 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man,
save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of
God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the
spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God.

5. The Heart not the same as the soul-
The heart is what you desire
Acts 4:32 And the multitude of them that believedwere of one heart
and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things
which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
2Cor 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the
Spirit in our hearts.

The soul is what you do
Luke 9:25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and
lose himself, or be cast away?
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world,
and lose his own soul?
Rom 7:18-19 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth
no good thing: for to will [heart]
is present with me; but how to
perform[the soul]
that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not,
that I do.

Peter Marshall- the Chaplin of the Senate tells an old proverb.
A Righteous Master in Bagdad sent his servant to the market. While at the
market the servant said a frightful old woman jostled him. When he turned
to see the woman he recognized her as Death. If that had not been
enough Death made a threatening gesture to the servant.
The servant returned to his Master and begged the use of the Masters
horse. He said I must flee to Samara lest the old woman, “Death” find me.
After giving the servant the use of his horse the master himself went to the
market; and there he found the old woman, “Death”.
He stopped her, and reprimanded her for making a threatening gesture to
his servant.
No, she said, that was not a threatening gesture, that was surprise.

7. I was surprised to see him here, you see I have an appointment with him
this evening in Samara.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness?
We are far better off obeying the Master than trying to manipulate life
circumstances into our perceived comfort-zone.

An unsaved man that does not exhibit demon possession is a hypocrite. A
Christian that does not exhibit Holy Spirit possession is an impostor.
