If I am converted from a life of sin and darkness to a life in Christ, what is the evidence. In part two of this series we look at the final five evidences that we are truly converted and committed to being a disciple of Jesus.
4. Psalm 32:3,4 - When I
kept silent, my bones
grew old through my
groaning all the day
long. For day and night
Your hand was heavy
upon me; my vitality was
turned into the drought of
summer.
5. Psalm 51:1-4 – 1 Have
mercy upon me, O God,
according to Your
lovingkindness;
according to the multitude
of Your tender mercies,
blot out my
transgressions.
6. 2 Wash me thoroughly
from my iniquity, and
cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my
transgressions, and my
sin is always before me.
7. 4 Against You, You only,
have I sinned, and done
this evil in Your sight—
that You may be found
just when You speak, and
blameless when You
judge.
8. Psalm 51:7-12 – 7 Purge
me with hyssop, and I shall
be clean; wash me, and I
shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and
gladness, that the bones
You have broken may
rejoice.
9. 9 Hide Your face from my
sins, and blot out all my
iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean
heart, O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me.
10. 11 Do not cast me away
from Your presence, and
do not take Your Holy
Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of
Your salvation, and uphold
me by Your generous
Spirit.
12. John 1:40-42 - One of the
two who heard John speak,
and followed Him, was
Andrew, Simon Peter’s
brother. He first found his
own brother Simon, and said
to him, “We have found the
Messiah” (which is
translated, the Christ). And
he brought him to Jesus.
13. Romans 9:1-3 – 1 I tell the
truth in Christ, I am not
lying, my conscience also
bearing me witness in the
Holy Spirit,
14. 2 that I have great sorrow
and continual grief in my
heart. 3 For I could wish
that I myself were
accursed from Christ for
my brethren, my
countrymen according to
the flesh.
15. 2Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not
slack concerning His
promise, as some count
slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us,
not willing that any should
perish but that all should
come to repentance.
17. 1John 2:3 - Now by
this we know that we
know Him, if we keep
His commandments.
18. 1John 5:2,3 - By this we
know that we love the
children of God, when we
love God and keep His
commandments. For this is
the love of God, that we
keep His commandments.
And His commandments are
not burdensome.
19. John 14:21 - He who has
My commandments and
keeps them, it is he who
loves Me. And he who loves
Me will be loved by My
Father, and I will love him
and manifest Myself to him.
20. John 14:23 - Jesus
answered and said to him,
“If anyone loves Me, he will
keep My word; and My
Father will love him, and
We will come to him and
make Our home with him.
25. Philippians 2:5-8 - 5 Let
this mind be in you which
was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, being in the form
of God, did not consider
it robbery to be equal
with God,
26. 7 but made Himself of no
reputation, taking the
form of a bondservant,
and coming in the
likeness of men.
27. 8 And being found in
appearance as a man, He
humbled Himself and
became obedient to the
point of death, even the
death of the cross.
28. 1John 3:2,3 - Beloved, now we
are children of God; and it has
not yet been revealed what we
shall be, but we know that
when He is revealed, we shall
be like Him, for we shall see
Him as He is. And everyone
who has this hope in Him
purifies himself, just as He is
pure.
29. Surrender to God’s will
Relief from burden of sin
Love for the brethren
Desire for God’s word
Pleasure in secret prayer
Sin causes grief
Desire that others are saved
Obedience to Christ
Deep humility
Desire to be like Him
