Teachers have a great responsibility and blessing, as they will be judged more strictly but also called great in heaven if they teach faithfully. The document outlines the duty of teachers to instruct with wisdom, patience, and sound doctrine on salvation through Christ. It warns of temptations to appeal to pride or desires rather than sound teaching. Teachers must look to purify themselves and their followers as they await Christ, firmly instructing with God's authority.

Put On Righteousness - Ephesians 6:14bDavid Turner
We cannot clothe ourselves in our personal righteousness, because any righteousness we have in ourselves falls short of God's standard of righteousness. Instead, we must shield our hearts with the righteousness of Christ. We are declared righteous because of his righteousness, not because of anything in ourselves. Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Exod 4:15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and
I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye
shall do.
Exod 18:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances andlaws, and shalt
shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must
do.

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that
one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb 5:13-14 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their
senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Responsibility
Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:
for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may
do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitablefor you.
Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowingthat we shall receive
the greater condemnation.
Ezek 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou
givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked
way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his
blood will I requireat thine hand.
Ezek 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die;
if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man
shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I requireat thine hand.
Temptation to appear ‘smart’
1Tim 1:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain
jangling; (1Cor 9:24 Race run well obtains Grace)
3. 2Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having
itchingears; (the humanist teacher attracts dogs with ear-mites)
Titus 2
1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the
aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh
holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good
things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their
husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home,
good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not
blasphemed. 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7 In all
things shewingthyself a pattern of good works:in doctrine shewing
uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannotbe
condemned; that he that is of the contrarypart may be ashamed, having
no evil thing to say of you. 9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own
masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10
Not purloining, but shewingall good fidelity; that they may adorn the
doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Salvation
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appearedto all men,
Eph 3:6-8 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his
promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of
God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all
saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
1Pet 1:10-12 10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who
prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the
Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the
glory that should follow. 12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did
minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you
with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
4. Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness
unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Education
12 Teachingus that, denyingungodliness and worldlylusts, we shouldlive
soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
1John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in
wickedness.
2Tim 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world,
and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto
Dalmatia.
Anticipation
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearingof the great
God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he
might redeem us from all iniquity, and purifyunto himself a peculiar
people, zealous of good works.
1Cor 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Phil 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus
Christ:
Phil 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,
according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the
Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
1John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
5. The charge
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebukewith all authority. Let
no man despise thee.
